Staff was really friendly but I noticed the coating on the dip was super light and then a lot of it got buffered away by my manicurist so it became even lighter and some nails ended up different shades because special attention was given to some nails over the others. However, my biggest complaint is that this made some nails brittle and the dip manicure is already chipping even though it's only been approximately 4 days since I got my nails done. Usually dip powder lasts me approximately 2 weeks and it's never chipped in advance like this (usually I have to get it redone because my nails have outgrown the powder). While the staff was friendly, I wouldn't recommend this place for dip since it was $60 (after credit card fees) for something that hasn't even lasted a week read more

Blondi's is the best! This team does a fantastic job no matter who you have during your appointment. Their gel manicure is under $40 and literally looks perfect 2 weeks later (and I hand wash my dishes w/ gloves). The staff is friendly and tenured. Most estheticians have worked there for 7+ years! Erika did a lovely gel removal and manicure last week and the results are still perfection. One of the best priced nail salons in the UES! I called around 30-40 different nails salons in my area to get a sense of what the service I wanted would cost and Blondi's was the lowest price. I was worried that would mean I would get a lower quality of service but that was not the case. I came in as a walk in and they took me right away. The nail tech shaped my nails perfectly and understood very well exactly what I wanted. She was knowledgeable and meticulous. She was very nice and complementary the whole way. I got a gel manicure with a chrome add on and the total came to $50 with tax when paying with credit card. (They only charged $10 extra for chrome which is $5-15 less than what any other place I have been to charges for that.) I will definitely be coming back! read more

I've been to this nail salon 3 times and it's okay. 3 stars is for okay so that's what it gets. The ladies in there typically bite off more than they can chew, so you might find yourself sharing a nail artist with another person. Even when I still had a bad of powder dip left they told someone I'd be done in a couple minutes - impossible. They just can't turn away business. Besides that, the whole time we were there the women were trying to talk us out of powder gel, I'm assuming it costs them more to invest in and they don't want to do it? I'm not sure but it was an odd tactic on their part. Lastly, and most importantly, my entire powder g has fallen off, after a week and 2 days. It actually chipped after 5, but in all honesty I was too lazy to go fix it, although my friend I went with went and fixed two of her nails that chipped. The conclusion of this is, I wouldn't come her for a gel manicure. Maybe another service but they just over charge for a gel that won't last. read more

I liked the place and the people. I got my nails done for vacation - gel pedi and powder dip mani. The gel is great and still going strong. I don't think they knew how to do dip though, it started chipping the same day and started peeling off within 24 hours. I have been going to Blondi's for four years now. The salon is great and the staff is amazing. They do a great job with everything ( nails, waxing, massages). I also love how efficient they are. I cannot write a review without mentioning Erica She is the most amazing and does everything so quickly. If you want to get a mani, pedi and waxing all in an hour and very well done, Erica is your person and you will not regret it. The other salon treated their customers like fast food service--more about quantity than quality. Blondi's actually cares for their customers' nails and wants them to come back. I have been lucky enough to find this salon and not to mention, in my opinion, the best nail technician in NYC! Erika is a perfectionist and I have not once walked out of the salon with a spec of polish out of place. I actually don't really like manicures because I have a hand injury and they tend to be a little too painful. This place is horrible. I went a few weeks back. Chairs are broken and the towels they use on your hands and feet are NOT washed after every customer!!! I saw the owner literally rinsing it off and putting it back on heater .... DISGUSTING!!!! Sad because some of the the workers are really good. Stay away. What a lovely place! Blondis II moved into the space of a salon which I had used for 2 decades, but sadly went out of business during the pandemic. First, it is sparkling clean - eat off the floor clean (and a pretty place - for those who care). The technicians are lovely, kind and all seem to take pride in their work. And it shows.
