The gym has a rugged, old-school vibe, and everyone respects the space and equipment. I love that there's plenty of racks for compound lifts and tons of equipment, so I never have to wait. I always enjoy a mix of music they have going on and it's not too loud, just right for the atmosphere. As someone new to the state I'm really happy I found this gym. After class, Rachel gave us a tour of the facility and was incredibly welcoming and friendly, just like the rest of the staff. The gym itself is beautiful, modern, and exceptionally clean. I especially loved the white and tan interior design--it creates a bright, upscale atmosphere. The women's locker room is impressive, featuring lockers for personal belongings, a sauna, and a cold plunge. There are also convenient water refill stations throughout the gym. One of the most unique features is the slide, which definitely adds some personality and fun to the space! There's also an outdoor workout area in the corner for anyone who prefers exercising outside. Overall, Recess offers a great combination of high-quality fitness classes, excellent amenities, and a welcoming community. I would definitely recommend checking it out.
