I had BC Fence replace a fence at a rental property. The price that they quoted me was inline with what I anticipated based on liner feet, and they were extremely professional and responsive. They texted me a couple of days before they began work to confirm the start date. I was not there during the install, but they were extremely quick, did not drag out the job, and the fence looks great. Honestly, one of the few contractors that I would trust to work on my property while I was away. One of the ways that you can tell a good contractor from a bad one is the way they clean up after themselves. They removed and replaced my fence, and afterwards I was not able to find a single nail, screw, or splinter on my property. I still don't know how they did it! read more

After a section of my 12 year old fence went down I ended up speaking with neighbors which lead to a 6 house project as all wanted to have theirs replaced. I contacted B.C. Fence who's rep told me they could come out the following week to have a look. A little slower than I'd like, but fair enough. I coordinate with 6 neighbors to be home so the rep could come measure and estimate (not an easy task). The rep is personable enough and makes his rounds. 7 days pass so I reach out stating that I still haven't received a quote. I get a text message response "Sorry, crazy week. I'll get it to you tomorrow". A little janky, but fair enough. Another 7 days pass so I reach out again stating that it seems like they don't want the work. No reply. Another 7 days passes and at this point I have other quotes in process as it's clear we aren't using these guys. I decide that if I was the owner of B.C. Fence, I'd want to know about this. I call the office and speak to the office manager to share my experience. Lots of umms and ahhs later, she tells me she will speak with the owner. Still no reply. I can't tell you about their work as I never got close to that point but if you're looking to delay your project by a month, these are the guys for you! read more

We found B.C. when we encountered a beautiful horizontal fence in the Bouldin Creek area that was an exact instance of what we wanted for our home. They had wisely left their contact information discreetly on the fence, so I reached out and gave them a call. Very soon thereafter, Casey came to our Cherrywood home and was able to quickly deliver a fully-committed and highly competitive quote for doing the fence we wanted. I found Casey to be pleasant and funny, yet highly professional and it is quite clear that he knows everything about fencing one can know. One of the things I particularly liked is that I asked him about another bid we had received which was much higher, as well as showed him a sample of the fence that they had proposed to build after telling us the horizontal fence we wanted would not be ideal for a few reasons that, honestly, made little sense to us. You could tell that Casey disagreed with what the other company had told us, but he was very respectful about it and was careful not to besmirch a potential competitor which I have always found to be very classy in a salesperson and an indication of someone very confident in their own product/service. However, as a career salesman myself, I have to note that Casey did not in anyway attempt to sell me. He was simply there to answer questions and he did so beyond my expectation. I had not hesitancy about committing to them right then and there which I did with no pressure applied whatsoever. The work occurred quickly and as scheduled. They dealt with having to course correct mildly due to a misunderstanding I had with our neighbors in a very proactive and pleasant way. One of the workers suggested an aesthetic change that we decided to do and it made the fence even more spectacular. In the end, my wife and I were very, very pleased with the end result. We would have paid double to get the fence we received. Overall, it was just a really great experience with B.C. Fence. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

Pulled out all of my fencing at my neighbor's behest without even asking me if the fence was a common fence (it was not). They could see my fence was not common by looking around the property. Needed chain link partial fence repair. Kayla came out and discussed my needs and prepared a contract for the work. Poor project management, poor communication, poor work- actually nothing on the contract was completed as written. Sales people can assume if the contract is not fulfilled- customer will question and want answers. This woman tells me they can't reset posts because they need 24" to go down. Me: "None of these posts are set 24" below ground." She says, ok 18" is what we would probably do. I spoke to a real fence company that says, 4-8" is all that is needed for chain link depending on post location and post type. This woman is ridiculous- told me, "This is how it's gonna be- I'm not gonna do business with you." Haha- this after she made a bid on the work and accepted the signed contract back and sent someone to my home to do not one thing that was on the contract, but instead what they thought was reasonable. Typical defensive and argumentative response when customer doesn't just "buy in" without questioning the obvious. If there are problems- call the HOMEOWNER to discuss, don't proceed with lousy work and make excuses later. Total waste of time dealing with this woman who has little knowledge of fences and poor business relations skills. Simple- come out make a bid, customer agrees and signs contract, company completes work on contract, customer pays. What I got, a bid, returned signed contract, company shows up without me knowing- notice of arrival/departure or appt time not provided, does not fulfill contract, does not notify me until 2 days later, "I overpromised and underdelivered." Starts recommending things needed that I already have, making excuses why work couldn't be done, and then starts hitting me up for money. Nope- that's what the contract is for. Do the work, get paid. Stay away would be my advice. No one has time for this. Learned my lesson- go with the 5 star fence companies next time. read more

I'm really happy with my interactions with Kevin and the end result. I wanted to go to an wrought iron fence with gate for the small section of fence between my neighbors house and my own, but I wanted more privacy that a wrought iron fence, so I asked Kevin if they ever attach wood pickets in between the iron pickets for more privacy. He said that they had done that before. It looks great to me, and the gate is wider than what I had before, which is great. The only issue, which is practically a non-issue, is that the right standing post resonates some when the gate closes, because it is freestanding and not connected to anything. The post is strong of course, because it is iron, so it isn't going to fail, but because metal has elastic properties, a tall thin post will vibrate some. I will put a brace between the post and wood post to stop it from vibrating on closing. read more

We had just moved into our house when we discovered that part of the fence was barely attached to the post. And our gate was barely hanging on. I had Dusty come out and give me a quote for about 60 ft (plus gate) of 6ft fence to replace an existing fence in disrepair. He was friendly and professional. Not only did he give me a quote, he explained why my fence had failed and suggested temporary fixes as well. I took awhile (month +) to finally decide to have him do the fence and even changed the type of fence and size of gate - i.e. I was a bit high maintenance. Throughout everything, BC Fence was awesome. Its now been a few weeks since my fence is done and I get compliments from walkers regularly. B.C. We had our privacy fence replaced by this company. The fence looks good, with level pickets. They replaced all the poles as well, setting them all in concrete. A small problem with the gate was corrected after we contacted them, and they cleaned up the job site. They corrected a flaw from previous installation. I wish we had used them for our previous work. Poorly supervised effort and setup for future problems: When tearing down existing fence: punctured pool plumbing, located near pool equipment, with jackhammer, causing extensive delay while repairs made. When installing new fence: Placed fence new post in concrete in same spot on top of pool plumbing (5 lines to/from pool), risking plumbing issues in future when fence post needs replacement. Would not recommend for any effort if not simple, routine install. read more
