My dog had his appointment this morning. He's an almost 3 year old large American bully, upon entering the shop, Naoki was so kind and gentle with Z-NO (my dog's name). I've been struggling finding a groomer patient enough when it comes to clipping Z-NO's nails, every place I've tried said they couldn't and gave up saying he's too scared. I decided to try this spot based on the reviews and am so pleased with the service! They were able to cut the more important longer nails and gave him such a good bath I swear he was sparkling when he came out lol. I'm so glad they took their time with Z-NO to make sure he was comfortable. Definitely will be bringing him back! I didn't have cash and paid with card but didn't get a tipping option! This review is about 3 weeks overdue. Shame on me. My dog's normal groomer moved back out to the east coast, leaving me with two default groomers, neither of which did a bad job. But they didn't seem to be as personal and "comfort" oriented as I would've preferred. After all, out pets ARE our babies and we want to know that when left in someone else's charge, they are getting the kindest of attention. Thankfully I ran in to a neighbor on a morning walk one day. I told her we were looking for a new groomer. She suggested hers at B-Elegant. Her pup, a senior Golden Retriever, Taffy, had been getting groomed by Lynn and my neighbor could not stop singing her praises. I called and was immediately given a saturday morning appt. She suggested dropping him off between 8 and noon, with the earlier the better as it would give Lynn time to acquaint herself with my pup "wheaties". Right off the bat, it tells me Lynn is concerned about my boy's comfort and distress level. I told Lynn what I was looking for. About 3-4 hrs later, I got the call. The cut was perfection. She knew exactly what my dog's needs were. Now my dog was diagnosed with Cushings disease a few months back. After some costly blood work, diagnoses and meds, my vet had gotten it under control and said his levels were excellent, not needing another round of blood work for 6 months. First few weeks, he was back to normal. Then one of his symptoms (excessive panting) starting acting up again. I couldn't wrap my head around what was wrong. I was nervous the meds weren't taking and needed to be re-evaluated. However, that called for more blood work and I had already put myself in the red by about $1500. I had finally decided to get him back in. But before that, he was groomed by Lynn. Upon picking him up, Lynn informed me that he had a huge number of foxtails between his paw pads, and she had gotten them all. Yet another instance where I felt deficient in my responsibilities as a dog parent, despite the fact I pride myself on being thorough. Immediately after his grooming, i noticed his panting subsided immediately. He was in extreme discomfort, causing the panting. Lynn took the time to show me how to check for and remove the fox tails between my guy's pads. She not only alleviated his discomfort and saved me money, but also probably saved my dog's life. A blessing is an understatement. Lynn...I hope this will be the start of a long and healthy relationship. You are a blessing to wheaties and myself. And you wear your love for animals on your sleeve. I have been bringing my toy poodles to B-Elegant for years and I can honestly say this is by far- the BEST groomer I have ever found to make my dogs look soft and fluffy and so clean every time. We moved to Burbank a few years back, so to save time, I tried using a few other groomers that were closer to me. None of them could never get them to look as soft, fluffy and perfect as B-Elegant does. So, despite them being further from me now, I will not go anywhere else. Pricing is about the same as other nearby groomers, but the personal service and the quality of the cut, care and attention given our dog was by far the best we have experienced. Lynn was very friendly and attentive. She also spotted a reoccurring ear infection our dog gets. She cleaned it thoroughly and put salve in it. Highly recommend this business. This is truly one of the very best places to get your beloved dog groomed. We have been coming to them for over 15 years. We found them when our dear toy poodle had a very bad experience with another groomer in Burbank. She was so traumatized and I was desperate to find a professional gentle groomer. When we met Von and explained our situation she put us at ease and let us know that our traumatized poodle was in good hands. We were never disappointed. Our poodle was not easy to Work with and she always came back to us beautifully groomed and happy. She has since passed on and we now take our new poodle to them.
