This is my favorite place to get lunch when I am required to be in the office. I work across the street and only have a little time to grab something to eat. I love that B.Good has healthy food that I can afford. I have to watch my weight and so appreciate that the food is also tasty. The other thing that brings me back is the staff. The people who take my order and work behind the counter are super friendly. I am always impressed with how the manager handles the lunchtime rush. Holy Cow folks! This place smells good but not enough to disguise the rude and idiotic ordering rules. Two very awkwardly placed ordering kiosks pull you off an extensive line of high strung Bostonians who are marching in and smashing food into their giant faces. It's pandemonium and chaos rolled into one mashed up burger of disappointment. The burger looks good but in order to get what you want you have to prepare yourself to have debate about trading the roll in for a wrap but the wrap is allocated to the wrap items ONLY. You can not have a burger in a wrap because that would open the gates if hell and flood the restaurant with wrap eating hipsters who probably would have heart failure from putting down their smart phones forced to have to make a choice. Very tasty! This is the bomb of fast healthy food... I love their commitment to eating local and although this is a fast food place I give them 5 stars for doing it all right. This is a tree huggers dream when it comes to fast and healthy and reasonable. They have it all going on. One of my favorite places to go. I do not eat dairy but would here, the bloating would be well worth it. I tried the Elvis shake once...Oh my God...it was so decadent and should be illegal! I have only had the veggie burger with cousin Oliver's sauce it is too die for, I cannot imagine what a meat burger must be like! The sweet potato fries are soo tasty! I occasionally stop in here to get some of their salads, burgers and fries. The price of their salads is a little steep, but still pretty standard for the area and you do get a very large salad for the price. The Hatchback, which includes gorgonzola cheese and almonds, is my favorite. I really don't understand the pricing on their burgers. While I have had the burgers and they are decent, I really don't think they are worth over $6. IMO, they are not that much tastier than a regular fast food burger and for a few dollars more you could pop into Scholar's or the Kinsale and get a burger with fries for $9 or $10. I suppose if you don't have time for a full-service meal, this is okay. I recommend the Adopted Luke. I mainly stop here when I am pressed for time and just need a quick lunch. For that purpose, it's all good. And, I suppose it's healthier than your typical fast food establishments, which may be why you pay more. read more

Walking back to the hotel, we stopped by a b.good, and had to stop since I've heard great things about it. It was about 7pm on a weekend, so it was not too crowded inside, but we were the only ones in line. We decided to go with the zucchini noodles and eggplant meatballs, and the harvest kale salad. I enjoyed both of these a lot! All of the salads looked really good to me, but I went with the harvest kale. I love that they have seasonal ingredients as part of their menus. We lovedddddd the eggplant meatballs and zucchini noodles. We will definitely be stopping by next time we pass a b.good! I really like b good. Their southwestern chicken salad is a regular on my work lunch routine. It comes with avocado, grilled corn, and my favorite - crunchy toasted corn! I usually order it without the black beans, so I can't comment on that. However, I really enjoy it and the portion size is perfect. I've also had the turkey burger, made a few different styles - west side being my favorite. The sweet potato fries are delicious when hot out of the oven. However, if they're not fresh, they get a little mushy and unappealing. They could also use a little more seasoning - I always add a decent amount of salt. Customer service here is excellent! I once got back to my desk to find they forgot to put mushrooms on my burger and gave them a call. Within 10 minutes, I had a free burger and fries coupon in my inbox! Thanks b good! read more

Been here a good 10+ times since I live and work nearby. The burgers and fries are pretty darn good here! Leaving a review to mention that the chicken tenders and crispy chicken sandwich (which includes chicken tenders) were absolutely disgusting. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or they weren't cooked right, but the texture was very spongey and off-putting. So I spit it out immediately. They also didn't tear apart like normal tenders... Hopefully it was just a bad batch, but I'd highly suggest steering clear of their chicken strips. read more

DINNER REVIEW I came to B. GOOD because my girlfriend had some credits but it only made me realize that I won't choose this place over the others nearby: Dig Inn, Chipotle, and Potbelly. I ordered their Guacamole Burger, one of their new Flexitarian Burgers (The Turkey Mushroom), and Sweet Potato fries. The Guacamole burger was good but not as good as other fast-casual chains (Five Guys, Shake Shack). The Turkey Mushroom burger was actually quite good and I would get that again. The fries were good...it's hard to go wrong with sweet potato fries. The ordering system is kind of cool where if you order on your app, you can track the status of the order and see when it's ready to be picked up. You can also order on a screen in-store if you don't want to wait in line to order from a human. They are definitely a bit more digitally-forward than other places. Again, I will never again choose this over the above restaurants but if you want a burger (which the above restaurants don't have), this isn't a bad option. read more

As someone with celiac disease, it's hard to find a gluten free bun, nevertheless a tasty one. I went here and ordered a burger with lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickled and was in love. The pickles were out of this world! I'm not sure what they did to them but I'd buy a jar of them. The burger tasted fine and the bread was absolutely delicious. They have those natural sodas which most health places tend to have. The condiments were also a healthier option and not bad (but not better than Heinz). The decor was just a typical fast food place. Nothing special. The man taking my order was not overly friendly, but not a huge deal since you only place your order and pick up your food via the notification system. I never thought I would be writing a yelp review, a poor one, at that, for what used to be my favorite restaurant. I had recently been experiencing ordering my french fries from there, and they were wilted and tasted like chemicals. I finally brought it to the company's attention and they responded with an apology as well as a credit, for which I was grateful. When I ordered my food again shortly after this response, I once again ordered french fries hoping for a better experience. When I walked in, the guy at the counter, who is normally there, doesn't glared at me. He then asked me: "are you here for the fries?" I responded by saying yes I am, and he began to pack up my bag, but not before continuing to glare at me stating "these fries just came out of the oven". And not in a cordial way, with a smile that you would think. In all of my time coming to this restaurant at this location, this man has never ever told me that the fries were just fresh out of the oven. I felt like he was trying to make a point about me having complained. I don't appreciate being intimidated, especially not for something as little as just serving proper french fries. Y'ALL! If you really actually enjoy GREENS and healthy food, this place is a necessity. Their grain bowls and salads are so yummy and packed with so many tasty flavors. That avocado bacon bowl thouuuuuuugggghhhh?!?! It got discontinued for the season and I'm more than a little upset by that but the new stuff on the menu is so delicious. I recently tried the Spicy Avocado Lime and it's pretty sensational. The staff here are super friendly and the manager that is there when I'm there is such a sweetheart! She is always working the register, making the food and tidying up. She's great! Also, in all honesty their bowls and salads are good but the burgers and fries are like...not delicious. Fairly expensive, but good. It's actually really good. So it's worth it once in a while, I average $9 without a drink for my lunch, to-go. It looked too yuppie for me at first and I don't really frequent "fast-food places" so I didn't understand it at first and was afraid to go in. Yup, afraid of food. More like intimidated because it was so fresh and new to the area. HA what a loser I am. So the point is that they get all their ingredients from a certain radius of their office, blah blah blah, I really don't care about that part but it's cool if you're into that. I get a burger with sweet potato fries, every time. They have other options like a veggie burger or turkey or chicken sandwich. They have every topping imaginable too, so it's wicked customizable. You watch them cook it up right there and it takes a fair amount of time, not too long and not too fast which is cool because it takes away from the grimy fast-food idea. You tell them at the register when you place your order what you want on it and while you're standing there, you get to watch them do it all right there. I've been to b. good many time for lunch. The food is great for what it is-fast, casual, locally-sourced healthy food. However, each time they mess something up with my order. I've gotten the almond and ginger bowl a few times and asked for the dressing on the side. Each time I've been there the cashier has acknowledged what I said but when I get my food, the dressing it always mixed in. It's really frustrating. I work in downtown Boston and walk down Washington Street several times throughout the course of my day. When I noticed the signs going up for this "b good" burger place, I was intrigued. It was under construction for several months, and each day I became more and more interested in trying this place out. I must be a cat at heart, because the curiosity was starting to annoy me after a while. Finally, I walked by last week and saw the doors open and people inside. YESSSS!!! I wasn't that hungry, so I went in with the expectation of just seeing what they had and what the atmosphere was like. And then I saw it. They had milk shakes made with real ice cream or frozen yogurt. I had to get one, and I did. I got a large chocolate ice cream milk shake. Five bucks for a large shake is expensive for a burger joint, but pretty on par for an ice cream shop. The shakes at b.good are ice cream shop quality, even though it turns out I'm not the biggest fan of the flavor there. If I had written this review after the shake last week, I would have given three or four stars, as the shake was still pretty good, but not "rock my world". (It seemed like the chocolate in the chocolate ice cream was probably not the best quality.) Today's my birthday, so I decided a little splurging was in order. I went there for lunch and got a "Cousin Oliver" burger and a small chocolate milk shake. I wanted to give the chocolate shakes another try, and I really wanted to finally try a b.good burger. I looked at the menu again. This time, I wasn't shocked by the sight of milk shakes made with ice cream or frozen yogurt, so I was able to look at the whole menu. The cheapest burger available was $6.00. I had to pick my chin up off the floor. After convincing myself that it was okay, since it was my birthday, I ordered the burger and shake, expecting a mouth-watering, flavorful, decadent masterpiece. I got the burger back to my desk at work, bit into it, and waited. And waited. And waited... There was no shock. There was no awe. There was no decadence. It was a bland hunk of ground beef in a burnt bun, and the "special sauce" hardly lived up to its namesake. I wanted to cry. All of those months of excitement and daydreams were for naught; my high hopes flew right out the window, only to plummet to their fiery doom. I make better burgers on my grill for a fraction of the cost. And now I'm going to have to, just to right this grave wrong in my mind (and my tummy). I will never be going back to b.good for burgers. I will probably go back to b.good for a shake... if the choice is between b.good and McDonald's. Maybe I should search Yelp for a good ice cream shop in the area... read more

I am coming down against this place. It's a well designed, inviting, pleasant enough consumer experience. It is not however, actually good. I got a bacon cheese burger that appeared to have collected all of the oil from Boston Latin School's freshman class and slathered it on my burger like a condiment. It is fair for a burger to be greasy. It is fair for it's wrapper to be greasy. It is even acceptable for its bag to be be greasy. But my shoes are greasy. My shoes. They're two feet below where the burger hung. The french fries were fresh cut by a man whose picture adorns the wall of the establishment. They are proud of their employees. It is nice to see a company give credit where credit is due, but the guy pushes russet potatoes through a sharp grid. This is an excellent place to kill $10 and get little more than a stomach ache in return. read more

Mediocre bland burger joint, if only their burgers were as colorful as their logo. Not quite fast food, and definitely not a fine dining burger. It falls somewhere in the middle, unfortunately so does the quality of the burgers here. The beef here can be bland but is compensated by their wide variety of toppings. Great burgers with a great message - stay local! Crispy greens were exceptional. Was in town for a concert right around the corner. Ended up eating here twice over the weekend. Both times everything was excellent. Seriously the crispy greens were the best greens I think I've had out anywhere. Definitely so much better and healthier than any other fast food place around. Loved the potatoes and ketchup. Also love the fact that they told you where the food was from including the potatoes. I hate to say it, but I eat here weekly. That's the downside of living across the street, and not really having too many food options nearby in the winter. B Good is solid. They almost always do a great job. Burgers are terrific - large, flavorful, and complimented by fresh & quality ingredients. The special right now has pretty amazing homemade pickles (super thick cut -- 1/3rd inch) -- practically a reason to buy a burger. I always augment this with added secret sauce and lettuce (why it doesn't come with lettuce to begin with is beyond me). Speaking of secret sauce -- it's pretty great. I normally hate secret sauce (often poorly concocted derivations of salad dressing), but this stuff is pretty legit -- including some of the brining ingredients used for pickles. Delicious! Pro tip: order a double burger. The extra patty is only $0.99 but easily doubles the volume of the burger. Cons: (1) price is high -- can easily be $12 for a meal; (2) specified "ice cream" for the milk shake on 2 occasions and received a yogurt-based one -- not as creamy or sweet!; (3) sadly, they close at 9pm -- no late night eats here. I like their food but the service is slow and left something to be desired. I ordered a southwestern chicken salad, chicken sandwich and fries last night. I had 12 minutes before my bus was to arrive thinking had sufficient amount of time to get food and make my bus which is a block away. It took 15minutes to make the chicken sandwhich and at that point they put the fries in the oven. Conceptually it makes sense to took the fries close to the end so they are hot but not at the very end so that it extends the time of preperation. I enjoy the food and it is close to my job so I will be returning but I will think twice when I'm constrained for time. read more

The staff seem to lack an attention to detail. I ordered online because waiting in their line typically runs up from 5-10 mins and I am too busy. I didn't receive a notification for when order was ready so I walked over and picked up my 2 orders of salads (one was for a coworker). She ordered a SW chicken salad, but the salad had no chicken, not one sliver. Strike one. She and I then head back out to get it remade. They took my receipt which stated specific instructions to not add the chipotle puree and what do they do? They remake the salad with chicken this time, but added chipotle puree, which was too spicy for her. Strike two. Now, I'm eating my citrus and avocado salad and realize that something is missing from the ingredients list. Pistachios. Strike three. One has to ask, under what circumstances am I willing to pay $5.99 for a plain quarter-pound burger -- be it ground beef, turkey, veggie, or chicken (all the same price) -- on a charred bun? Do I then want to pay an additional $2.50 for a bag of soggy, limp, and pretty tasteless fries? I'd also ask why, at the height of lunch hour, does it take close to 10 minutes to get a burger from a place marketing itself as fast food? B.Good is one of those establishments that you know will be gone within 6 months, i.e. after the locals have had their first and last taste and when the tourists dry-up. One can spend less money on a burger nearly as good with far better fries and far faster service at nearby McDonalds, Wendy's, or Burger King. Or, one can spend a few bucks more and get a better burger in far greater comfort in one of the many nearby pubs and restaurants. Expensive for me, but locally sourced ingredients and the made to order service definitely impressed me. Very good selection of items to try, everything tasting great. From something traditional prepared and cooked perfectly. To vegetarian, or experimental food items that always prove to be worth trying. If you were to try any other place for food in the area you're chancing some type of upset stomach after (Wendys, Mcdonalds, subway, burger king etc) With this location using very fresh locally sourced ingredients, prepared to order infront of you, and the location being exceptionally clean. I doubt you will ever feel upset after eating something here, I'd expect you to probably feel pretty good about what you just ate. (b'good?) Absolutely awful experience. Asked for a burger with cheese and lettuce. Got one with everything on it. Brought it back to the cook and she was rude about it. I told her to make me a new one because that wasn't what I ordered. She did, but did not give me a new bun or lettuce. Had sauce all over the bun and plate still. Kept my fries while remaking the burger, so they were cold when i got to eat them. Never going to this location again. read more
