This is their very elegant dining area and even in the middle of the city. It feels like you're just taking time out.

I walked in to this restaurant. Not knowing what to expect. I was greeted with friendly faces from the kitchen, who took the time and went through the menu with me and told me what their suggestions were and I ended up trying the farmhouse, burger with pickles and their vegan sauce I am not a vegan, but I would definitely eat this again, and there was nothing but friendly service in the ambience of the place was amazing. It's one of those places you could sit in there for hours on end and just enjoy it. I would highly highly recommend going here even if you're not vegan they support. Local farmers and if you're just looking for a friendliness, they've got that too also they have a wide variety of choices. And they also have food sent to your house using DoorDash and Uber eats so if you can't make it into the store, you can have it delivered overall experience a 10 out of 10

    Comfort Bowl. Kale smoothie

This was an amazing find during our road trip. As vegans my husband and I really appreciate when an establishment has more than just burgers as their vegan options. My husband did get a burger with their veggie patty but it felt fresh and light. I got the harvest or comfort bowl and it had so much flavor. The kale smoothie also felt organic and was really tasty. Service was welcoming and friendly. Wish I had a place like this back home.

Food is way over priced. When I pay $14 for a salad that has no protein I should have PLENTIFUL toppings. Such scarce toppings. The smallest amount of Parmesan cheese I'd ever seen. Barely any zucchini and next to nothing for quinoa. So sad. Smoothie taste like ICE. Tragic honestly as it looks pleasing. Over $22 for a meal with NO ingredients just small cut kale and blended ice.

    Mac & cheese

This was my first time trying B Good. Not a good experience. I ordered Mac & cheese and fries. The fries are a thick cut which I usually like, but these are awful! They are soggy and do not have any crispy or crunchy skin like a fry should. The Mac and cheese is not what I expects. It is very small (for an entree) you could eat it in 5 bites. Also not worth wait 15 minutes for for that size. The staff is lovely and I would love to try more from their menu, I just hope it is better than my experience today.

Burger was not seasoned and cooked rare, not med rare. After eating, my stomach is upset. Don't think I'll be eating here again.

This place is great. It's pricey...so be prepared for that…read more My brother got the avocado toast, ( I think thats what it was) and loved it. I didn't get any food. I ordered a smoothie. Banana/strawberry and holy shit it was incredible!!! I. LOVED. IT!!! Damn it was good. I think it was like $12 tho? Am I crazy to think...meh, it's ok, (the price) I was on a holiday and you are supposed to enjoy whatever? haha!! I would normally never spend that much on a freaking smoothie! HOWEVER! Once we got into Manchester, VT....we saw another The Works Bakery...I SHO DID get another one lol. I was surprised to see that this place is a chain. When we were in Concord...it kind of felt like this was a place exclusive to Concord. Nah, it's not. Thats ok tho. I got a smoothie at a coffee house in just outside Bar Harbor and it was absolute garbage. So it was nice to have one where they actually have you what you ordered. Most places in Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire all allow dogs. I travel with my little Yorkie wherever I go. Alfred loves to travel haha! He is my child...seeing as I do not have any human kids. My dog is my life. So it's nice when you go into places and they welcome dogs. This place....does not tho. Thats boooo! HOWEVER! I TOTALLY understand! I TRULY do! I travel with my dog everywhere, but yes, I do realize this place is a restaurant and they all have their rules. I just love restaurants that allow dogs haha! I am not one of those psychos that will tear a place apart about not allowing dogs. I am one who actually respects policies like this. And yes, I bring my dog with me bc it's just me...and my dog. He is a 6lb Yorkie who I will never leave alone nor would I ever kennel him. I say all this bc so many people out there judge others who bring their dogs everywhere. He is a family member. He comes with me. Just go to this place wherever you run into one. It really is a great place. They were all SO nice in there even when they asked my take Alfie back outside. OH for the record too...I carry my little man everywhere with me. He's not like...running around everywhere...marking his territory lol Atmosphere in this location is very nice. Kinda dark and Lodgy feeling. Its nice. Located too in what I am assuming is a historic building. Noce view of the downtown area too if you take you lunch or whatever outside to their outdoor seating...which I am guessing is probably brought in now...seeing as it is almost December. Ok thats it. I know I rambled a lot here, but I feel it all fits with my review. I ramble a lot to begin with. If you read this...thank you! If you didn't...I will sleep in 5 mins and sleep like a baby :) Thank you The Works for a wonderful first experience. I live in Idaho. Wish we had you here. Thanks for reading YelperWorkers! Go have a smoothie! avocado toast! a bagel! you will love it! Cheers!

First off, there truly is something for everyone. It was hard to choose what I wanted because everything looked so good. I ended up with an egg sandwich, but everyone in the group got something different. The portions were HUGE and everything was SO FRESH. The place was packed and it was clear why since for the price and what you got, it is probably the best sandwich place around. If we lived in the area, it would probably be a regular lunch spot for us. Very good.

Let me start by saying the food is delightful. While I am far from an expert consumer of this…read morecuisine, I have consistently enjoyed the Jollof rice, the fried plantains, the chicken gizzards, and their goat dishes. The portions are generous and the food is wonderfully spicy. The restaurant is very loud as they play music on a sizable PA system in a relatively small space. I would not recommend eating in for anyone with auditory sensory processing differences. That said, if you're going to eat here, pay cash or go somewhere else. In our last visit (October 2024), my credit card was triple billed for our meal. The staff told us that it was a problem with Square. Cool. I've dealt with Square. Square can be a pain, I get it. Sadly, that was the start of the problem, not its resolution. The receipt they sent me was a completely different order (literally nothing we ordered was on the receipt, the the receipt was for almost twice the cost of our meal). The staff said they'd fix it. Cool. We'll wait. However, after waiting 20 minutes or so for this to be resolved, the staff told us that they were unwilling to wait on hold any longer and that they would follow up the next day. I never got a call. Two days later, I called to follow up as the charges had only been partially reversed. When I called the number staff gave me for follow up, they told me my refund was processed. Looking at my credit card statement, it most definitely was not. They refunded a partial and seemingly random amount, leaving them still having overcharged me by more than $60. The staff person I spoke to, who assured me that they would be available on Monday, said they were too busy to talk and would call me back. They did not call me back. The staff person I have been in contact with has been consistently argumentative. I have consistently been made to feel that I am the problem and am an inconvenience for insisting on accurate, timely correction of the charges. I don't care how good the fried plantains are (and they're really good), they're not worth this much headache. I'll not be going back.

I'm so glad there's a place in Concord to stop in for authentic African cuisine. Maddy's Food Hub…read moreopened on Fort Eddy Road near Planet Fitness recently. The space has a homey atmosphere with seating in the dining area and a takeout counter. After seeing their small grocery Mart next to Man Yee Express in the Heights, I decided to head to their small restaurant for takeout. I ordered the Banku & Fried Fish ($17 plus tax) and the owner asked me how spicy, referring to the sauce that comes with it. I was given the spicy sauce and the non spicy tomato sauce on the side. My food was ready to go in about 15 minutes. The boxed dinner had a dense balled cornmeal (slight salt flavor) served with fried croaker fish with bones with shredded onion, and pepper on the side and hot & mild sauces on the side. The hot flaky fish needed to be carefully deboned before enjoying. The sauces were great with my food and with the Banku, the dinner was filling to eat. I will keep Maddy's Food Hub on my list of places to stop for a fresh cooked African meal.
