A surprisingly tasty and different type of restaurant off of the square! Walking by, it doesn't…read morestand out much so we hadn't stopped in until friends invited us for dinner. Wow, large menu with items for everyone, plus great drinks! The food was pretty decent quality for being a Japanese place in Baraboo, and it came out in a reasonable amount of time. The prices were decent, a lot of it is ala carte so it adds up fast if youre not getting a main dish! The restaurant is a smaller space so I wouldn't go here with a big group but it's a nice casual place to go with your significant other or another couple. The service was good, we had a very attentive waiter. It's not very decorated or unique inside like a lot of Baraboo restaurants but it's clean. Nice to have a different flavor option in Baraboo! Would go again.

My family was on vacation in the Dells and we decided to try Little Tokyo Japanese Restaurant. It…read morewas during the week and not very busy (2 tables seated). We found our seats and placed our drink orders. 2 more parties came in afterwards and were seated. They received their drinks and place their orders. The waitress came over to us and we placed our order, still no drinks. About 10 minutes after we placed our food order, we received our drinks. Cool. Food came out and they completely forgot an order. We were told it would be out soon. 15 minutes later it came out and was wrong. However, the person that was missing the food said not to say anything. We asked for no vegetables in the fried rice and there were vegetables. We ate, paid, and left. In the early morning hours, I had food poisoning from the sushi I ate which was the little tokyo roll. It was the only thing consumed that day. Extreme pain throughout the next morning. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Between the service, missing order, and food poisoning, it was horrible.

We needed a place for dinner while we were staying at our rental and drove past this place and…read morethought it looked interesting. Yelp and google gave it pretty decent reviews, so we stopped in. One thing that was cool was last night the patio was reserved for only those who had dogs. It would have been neat to know that ahead of time and we could have brought our dog. Not sure if that's a daily thing or special for Saturday nights. The inside was cool, you can see the historic charm in this place. We got immediate seating, which was really nice. We were told multiple times the kitchen was backed up and we would have to wait about 45 minutes for our food. That was fine. We figured if we ordered an appetizer to go with dinner it would come out earlier. Our friends appetizers came out nearly an hour later. My husband and I each ordered a cup of the French onion soup and we got it 30 minutes after our friends got theirs. Our main courses came out shortly after that. Two of us ordered the chicken masala, one ordered a steak, and I ordered the salmon. All of our food was amazing. My husband said hands down the best meal in a restaurant in 2026. It would have been nice if the restaurant offered us a free dessert or round of drinks for the extremely long wait. Honestly I was about to ask if they even started making our meals when the soups finally came out, because if they hadn't I'd have said forget it. If I'm being honest, I'd have rated our experience lower, because that wait time was awful. But the food was delicious and this surely can't be something that happens regularly, because if it was, this place would have way less 5 star reviews. If I'm in the area again I'd give this place another shot, and hopefully our wait time is much shorter and the food is just as good.

Tried to order a Cesar salad and they said it isn't available. Tried to order ribeye for under $20 which was on the menu and the only one they had is a 16oz for $31.

The bartender assured us that their vegan options were incredible. MadisonTap features many local Wisconsin beers on tap. They seem to often rotate the beers and keep a solid selection. MadisonTap was spacious with bar seats, tables, and booths available. The design and decor were well thought out. The crowd seems to be young professionals in their mid-20s to early 30s. I don't recall the beers I got here but I do remember prices being ~$7-10 range mark. The bartender and owner place special emphasis on being vegetarian and vegan friendly. Even one of the cocktails used vegan butter. There was a single bartender when I visited but it was a bit slow. We had a great conversation and watched Christmas movies on the projectors. Overall, solid experience. 5/5. Favorited in Madison, WI.

We entered from the front of the building. It looks like they feature a different brewery every month. The interior of the bar was pretty classy and new. Their patio was very cool and spacious. A great patio for evening drinks! The live music was pretty good too. Can't speak to the food however, since we didn't eat there.
