Most places in the area hadn't opened for the season yet, but the parking lot here was packed, so we decided to stop in -- and we're glad we did! I had a burger and hubby had the pasta special, and both were excellent. The service was prompt, friendly, and welcoming. The prices were more than reasonable, especially for the quality and portions. The restaurant has a clean, open atmosphere with a very long bar and, best of all, no loud music blaring, so you can actually relax and have a nice conversation while you eat. Amazing service! Great seating and the setting of the building is surrounded by sunflowers. Definitely would have e sat outside but it was too hot! They were so busy, swamped with orders from many large groups. We were a family of four and received service and our food in a timely manner for as busy as it was. The food was good too! 1. I have a lot to say about Bronco Billys. One Friday night I was with my family and we were doing karaoke. Place was empty. I sang a terrible song and dropped the Mic. My bad, I admit but the bald DJ was a jerk. We go there a lot. The DJ was a major jerk. My cousin ended up paying him $100 and we walked out with no Mic. I'm sure it still worked and the guy got $100 for being a total ass. 2. My drink order was wrong, and the waiter admitted it! But he gave it to me anyway, and didn't change out the drink till I asked. 3. Our food took at least 45 minutes to come. I had been at the salad bar. A seasoned waitress took our order yet blamed the newbie when our order was messed up or just didn't come. Then my fish was not good!!! Dry!!! 4. My boyfriend went there again last night for a bacon cheeseburger. His order took forever. His burger was overcooked, and his bacon was undercooked. We were greeted nicely, but the second in charge manager was upset because we were coming in for drinks. She told one of the people at the bar we were dumb f**ks. A customer decided to also tell us what she said. We refused to leave and was assigned the nicest server ever. It's a shame that a cool place would keep an employee like that. Bright. Clean and open but not very cozy. I was there right at noon and the restaurant was very busy. There were only two waitresses and one of them also had to sling drinks at the bar so definitely short staffed. The waitresses were working really hard but barely keeping up. Two in our party ordered the hamburger and fries special and one ordered boneless chicken wings. All of the food was average. There's a note on the table stating the water has too much nitrate in it and could harm certain people's health so we got bottled water. Not real comforting. Nothing outstanding so will move on to other restaurants. read more

I am not one who usually leaves reviews, but had such a bad time here with a nasty waitress (Mandy/Edna). I used to come to Bronco Billys fairly regularly when I lived in Madison and was excited to show a new friend the place. It's her first time in Wisconsin and I was so embarrassed that the waitress was so nasty. She revealed that she had been working for seven days, but that doesn't excuse the way she treated us. I will never come here again. Plus, she never asked how our food was and my hamburger was way overdone (ordered it medium rare). While the renovations are beautiful, the wait staff used to be friendly and nice. That is no longer the case. I will not be returning. read more

Worst service ever at Bronco Billy's tonight!! Dirty bar, dirty tables, bartenders standing around talking. Asked guy if he could wipe down the bar because it was all sticky and dirty napkins and pull tabs laying around. He cleaned up the pull tabs and walked away. 10 minutes later a girl asked how we were doing and we told her we would like to have the bar wiped down and get a drink. This is not the first time I've seen these bartenders or servers standing around with their backs to the customers. I've given this place enough chances. Off my list of places to go! I had sworn this place off after two bad experiences. However, my wife talked me into going there because the girls she volunteers with at the food pantry like it. So I begrudgingly went. We were met by an evil stare by a drunk at the bar. Then we went and sat down. We were towed they were out of the special at 5:30 PM. So I just thought what's the best thing. That seemed to be the burgers it took up half a page on the first side of the menu. So I ordered the classic burger or whatever that was. It wasn't good at all. If that's gonna be your focus it should be really good. My family liked it though so I guess it was a success. Then will ever talk me into going back to this place. It's much nicer inside now. Came through the front door on this visit. Sign posted said to seat yourself. Walked to the back and asked if we could sit outside. Waitress said yes. Went out and saw that the shade seats were just vacated. When a Waitress came out and started cleaning off the table, my husband asked if we would be able to sit there, politely. Food was okay at this bar, but service was terrible. We counted about 8 bartender/waitresses, all walking around but few seemed to be waiting on people. We sat at the bar. A bartender took our order right away, then she never checked on us again. Food came out, then not one of the staff waited on us, they never even looked our way. We finally asked one bartender (Mandy) if she could help us, she replied that anyone could help us. We told her no other staff was even looking our way for us to get their attention. She helped us, then never checked on us again. We literally could have walked out without paying the bill, and no one would have noticed. We again caught Mandy's attention and asked for a manager...she said there was not a manager there, told us to call the next day. I called the next day, no manager available. I called one week later, Mandy answered, said she was now a manager. She said there was nothing she could do about the bad service, "sorry." Worst service I've experienced in a long time. Server acted as if every question we asked was beneath her and our son has deadly allergies and celiacs so eating out is hard enough without crappy attitude from a server. We ordered the fish fry and a corn nugget starter and for $7 we got next to no appetizer and the honey butter it came with was still frozen. In addition to that we waited over 45 minutes only to be told that they ran out of baked potatoes and we had to take subs. Not two minutes later they delivered baked potatoes to the table behind us who had arrived after us. At that point we paid for our drinks and woefully small appetizer and left. I came to Bronco Billy's after normal lunch time with my family. We had just spent three days at Great Wolf Lodge and wanted a place without 500 tourists like us. The food came fast, the waitress/bartender was friendly and patient with our kids. After they ate all of their food, she offered them root beer floats. Located up the road from the Ho Chunk casino we stopped here for some food after some gambling. What a mistake. Upon entering the whole bar turned to look at us. I look funny sure Ill give them that but funny thing is I had to wait at the bar for 15 minutes before being served cause the bartender was doing everything possible to clearly avoid me. Probably should've left after waiting but I decided to stay telling myself i was over reacting. Sat at a table and ordered before others in our area had. But was served our food dead last and over an hour later for one burger and a shrimp fry that contained 4 shrimp. All the food had visible grease on it i.e the fries, haystack onion rings which were a joke, and my four greasy shrimps. I know its fried in grease but this was disgusting. Only thing that did happen quickly was them taking my bill and running my card. Place sucks they need more and better trained staff. I will never return. read more

Well, I have to admit I was an idiot for missing out on such a great selection of beers this place has to offer!!! Even more than most bars in the Lake Delton Dells areas! The Bar is clean and the bartenders are smart asses that give it as good as they get! The place is large and has great food the BLT is excellent and the fries are tasty! The wait staff is attentive and will never let you go with an empty glass! There is a nice area in back for smoking a cigar or hanging out on a summer day! The location is great since its out of the chaos and almost at the Casino so a great stop with cold drinks. This place is a great place to stop if you drive a truck with a Mossy Oak hat with a southern tattoo or you are a millineal with a taste for a microbrew and a tasty sandwich. read more
