They offer heavy cream as an option (a luxury in which I occasionally indulge) and the cortado that I had there today was as good as any I've had anywhere. Decided to stop in really quickly while my wife and I are in town visiting friends. What an awesome experience, David was incredibly kind, and so was all of the other staff. I loved the plants inside of the space as well as how comfortable the chair was while I was waiting for my drinks. I've been eating at B's for years and I am so very happy that Columbia has a vegetarian/vegan forward restaurant with elevated taste and options. I've never had anything that I didn't enjoy. The new location takes it all to the next level allowing for a better vibe and hang out spot. It's my go to lunch spot. The sandwiches, the spreads/salads/soups, the freshly baked bread/cookies...you just can't go wrong with the selections. The last thing I had a couple of weeks ago was the falafel platter with delicious hummus and a soup I can't remember the name of, but it had warm spices/apples and was just so nourishing. The siren song of almond croissants was too strong to resist. Sadly I missed the croissants (the secret is out?) but snagged poppyseed Hamamtaschen and raspberry cream cheese babka. **the Hamamtaschen was one of the greatest things I've put in my mouth** Perfect balance of flavors and sweetness. B's is the best bakery around, no question! Everything we've had has been fantastic and the owners are so friendly and attentive. We have regularly visited on Fridays to purchase their challah bread and rarely are we able to leave without some of their delicious pop-tarts, babka, cookies, or sweet rolls in hand as well. Some of our favorites include the chorizo and cheddar, curry vegetable, and apple pop-tarts; the triple ginger, peanut butter, and B's cookies; and their variety of babka. Recently we ordered a peppermint bark chocolate cake to celebrate a family birthday and it was not only beautiful, it was one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had.
