I'm back again with another review for this amazing establishment. This time for the San Gabriel location! No, I'm not a paid actor. No I'm not sponsored. I'm writing this review because I genuinely think the quality of hair cuts, styling, and other services they offer is that top notch. Originally suggested by, my go to guy, Jay over at the Pasadena location I was referred to Peter here at the San Gabriel location. I felt like I was in a master class watching Peter work his magic. He was so precise and meticulous from cleaning up my current hair to performing the processes for the perm. When he was working, it was phenomenal! He pays attention to every detail, no matter how small. Every detail was picture perfect and the entire experience was so easy and very comfortable. Truthfully did not know what to expect when getting a perm. I have never had one before nor did I ever think I was going to get one. My friends joked with me that I should get one because they called it a "success perm". Oh, little did I know it was going to be more than a success, it felt like I was about to be ready for the Oscars or something. That is how awesome it is getting a perm from Peter. I'm now looking great and ready for any event! haha Overall, highly recommend going to B side U if you enjoy quality hair cuts, styling, and other services! Been getting my haircut from Jacob and a handful of other stylists at Be side U at their Lake Ave location in Pasadena. Jacob's time slots are usually booked well in advance. One of his time slots popped up at the new San Gabriel location and I took the opportunity to get my hair done from Jacob. The new space is clean and orderly and Jacob is a professional at what he does. He is precise and thorough and also quick without feeling rushed. Had my hair cut by Tiffany today and she did a great job. I was long overdue for a haircut and was also looking for a new style. Tiffany gave good suggestions and put in great care and attention to detail during the cut. I am pleased with the new look. The space was new and clean. They had a nice (Dyson?) hair dryer and the tools felt sharp. No painful tugging on hair like some places I've been to. Also came with hair wash. Plenty of parking out back but you have to walk around to the front door on San Gabriel to enter. I'd recommend! read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I called in and they squeezed me in last minute with Tiffany.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I showed her two photos of what I wanted, and she got my haircut like 80% spot on, which is honestly really good considering the shape of my head and first time cutting my hair too. I have been getting my hair cut by Jacob at the Pasadena location for about a year now. He always does an amazing job whether I ask for a fade or a styled medium length cut. Most recently I came to the new San Gabriel location for a cut and perm with Peter, and I was really happy with the experience. Peter is very skilled and has a great eye for styling - I appreciated the suggestions he gave as I was deciding what kind of perm I was going for. He even fully styled my hair after the cut and perm, walking me step by step through which products he was using and why. The San Gabriel shop is bigger than the Pasadena location, but both are clean and comfortable with a modern vibe. Also parking is easy at both locations!
