This place is so cute! Absolutely loved the high ceiling and all the decor. I ordered a vanilla latte and the avocado toast (as recommended by the barista). Outlets are everywhere and you can find seats downstairs and upstairs. Maybe slightly limited but not everyone is there to study, so seats will definitely open up. SERVICE: Excellent service. Friendly staff. Fairly quick to get our food. Self serve water station. PARKING: on the streets, no personal lot. You can find meters close by or walk a little further for free non metered parking. FOOD: The WORKMAN'S PANINI was a little bland for my taste. So I don't think I would try it again. I am interested in finding out how the other panini's taste. Breakfast with my 89 year old neighbor and i, after a doctor appointment and found a quick research in the area led us to B Twenty-four. The neighborhood is a little rough, but looks like one of those up and coming neighborhiods being revamped. We found street parking easily. (Unsure if there's a parking lot). And minus the few transients we had to pass before entering, we made it. Walking in, you see simple decor, high ceilings, cement floors, a communal table as well as a wall of tables ( with outlets for computers ), staircase upstairs off to the left for additional seating, pastry case (items purchased off premise) and ordering counter. You place your order with the cashier and they give you a table top number. They also make fresh coffee, (I had the chai latte..Yum). We ordered the BahnMi and Crescent breakfast sandwich. They came out quickly and were so good! My one compliant.. Just after we sat down a large group of guys came in and it got really loud. The high ceilings acoustics just really made it hard to hear. Boot that anyone was speaking overly loud, it just had a lot of echo. So it made it difficult to have a conversation with my elderly friend. . Came during lunch. They have plenty of outlets and it is perfect for studying/working. Their coffee is great and they have AC! Wanted to be healthy and saw a sign in front saying that their kale strawberry salad is new. However, their kale salad is the worst and paid a lot for it too. Their salad was drenched in sauce so the kale was a bit soggy, kale wasn't fresh, and strawberries were warm for some reason. Wish I could have gotten a refund or was able to get something different in exchange. While I was working, I saw flies eat the salad I couldn't finish, which didn't bother me too much, but... there was a cockroach that went right behind my laptop and then under the table. My local cafe hang out. I like the layout of the shop, especially since you can sit upstairs and not be as bothered by the hub-bub. The staff here have always been friendly to me and the coffee is fantastic. I've been to many cafes, but this one actually makes their lavender latte so that I can taste the lavender. So far, I've ordered their cookie, breakfast burrito, elote toast, and bagel and all of them were delicious. The only downside to this place is that the smoke is not ventilated well so my eyes get really irritated. The music is somewhat loud and upstairs can be dark (I toggled with lighting and filters in my photo). It's also a bit on the pricey side but basically everything has gone up everywhere so I can't really complain. read more

Corner coffee shop that's a little hard to find parking for. Luckily there was a metered street parking spot just across the street. They have wifi for customers and a couple of tables to work on. They have an upstairs seating area but it's closed at the moment. I stopped by for an iced chai latte since it was the afternoon, but sadly it was just a syrup mixed with milk and too sweet and milky for my taste. I was just yelping places near my work place and I saw this place pop up and wow it was perfect because I could order takeout through Yelp which was even better. I was looking for something with carbs (aka bread) and salad and I ended up ordering the Workman Street Panini which came with a salad that included raw onions, lettuce, cucumber, and tomatoes. When I picked up the food, it was warm and toasty and I can smell the onions from a far. Before I ordered, I thought the apple in there was a bit weird because I thought it was weird to have something sweet in something that's suppose to be savory but I was wrong. It gave a perfect sweetness and savoryness to the Panini. Parking was metered so it was pretty annoying that I had to find street parking and pay for it when I just needed to pick up my order (even though I only paid $0.05 but still annoying to have to). I'm sure if I went at a busy time, parking would be difficult. The atmosphere (in the 2 mins I was inside to grab my order) was cute and aesthetic and instagram worthy. I wish I had time to actually go inside and sit down to eat my meal but I was in a hurry. Prices are alittle on the pricey side as my Panini came out to be around alittle over $10 which in my opinion is kinda expensive for Panini but nonetheless, I think it was worth it. I saw the menu for the other food and thought it was pricey as well but I'm sure the price reflected the quality of the food. The next time I come back I'll probably want to try their drinks and probably try another item on the menu to test things out more. read more

I think if I came back here under different circumstances, I would have enjoyed it a lot more. It's a spacious coffee shop with high ceilings that I could see myself happily wiling away hours working in, but when I came with my friend to catch up and ordered a matcha latte (my favorite) and one of their açai bowls, I admit disappointment. The matcha latte was bitter and the goji berries in the açai bowl felt like I was going to break my teeth trying to chew them. The açai itself was also not the greatest texture. Most of it soupy, but with a chunk or two still frozen solid. I think I'd be much happier coming back and having a regular coffee choice. Great place! I was there working with a friend. I woke up this morning feeling a bit tired and not wanting to get out of bed, but I knew that I had work to get done. I picked up my friend and we decided to go here because it was close. We walked in and the people behind the counter were extremely friendly! I'm lactose and I got the soy latte and an Esquite Avocado Toast. The latte tasted fairly standard (IMHO a little too much soy, but the Esquite was great! I will say that the coffee was pretty strong and that I what I needed! I will return back for the great service and food! The coffee, for was good, but not specifically for something that I would go back for, but for the food and service, I would! Thanks for a great place for us to work, hang, and eat! I came here randomly and I loved it! This is a really cool coffee place, very clean and spacious too! I ordered a cup of cafe latte ($4.25) and avocado toast ($8.75)! The avocado toast was huge. A mountain of grilled corn on top of the toast and very flavorful. The presentation was great, satisfying only by watching. Was curious about coffee shops with WiFi in East LA and B Twentyfour was one of those that Yelp showed me. Recently, I came here for my coffee fix and got my #ElectionDay2018 research going. First things first, there is a parking lot behind the building but unfortunately, the two spots designated for B Twentyfour are only for shop employees. There is metered street parking as well as free neighbourhood parking. Moving on, their space reminds me of Bru Coffee Bar in Los Feliz; both have a loft-style interior. On the first floor, there's a big communal table in the centre and several tables by the wall as well as five stools at the coffee bar. On the second floor, there are about three tables if I remember correctly. I ordered a Vanilla Latte and my bf got a Latte. The barista informed us that their lattes are automatically made with two shots of espresso - awesome! We also got a Guava Cheese Pastry, which was given to us warm. It was a nice touch and I enjoyed it. Our lattes came out and I was surprised by how huge the cups they were in. Definitely not complaining! The bigger the coffee, the happier I am. My Vanilla Latte was smooth and seemed endless (yay). Almost forgot -- their pastries are 50% off starting at 3pm! My only gripe with B Twentyfour was how S L O W their WiFi was. It was unbearable. It got to a point where I just switched off WiFi on my phone and started using LTE instead. I was on my laptop as well and the WiFi was just as slow as the WiFi at a third world country NGO I worked at a year ago. So, there's that. When I come back here again, it'll probably be just for fun (like reading a book, definitely nothing that requires WiFi connection) and not for work. read more

Excellent for what it is. This cafe offers great food and drinks. We got the everything bagel with cream cheese and the cacao coldbrew. The bagel was thicc and juicy, reminiscent of NY-style bagels which I'm thankful for in LA. The cacao coldbrew smoothie was a little small for the price but it was well-rounded in terms of flavor with strong nutty tones and a nice banana after taste. The only downside is the atmosphere. It's quaint but a little dark and when there's nobody else here it seems eerie. All-in-all this is a spot to nourish a craving. I will be back. read more
