This place completely shocked me. I'm a chef from the Houston area, doing some work on a nearby ranch in Brenham for a client. My lady and I were looking around for any place in town where we could grab a bite. Decided to try this place. What we found here was the best Vietnamese food in Texas, and we've been to a LOT of places in Houston where we live. The food here is amazing. The bread for their banh mi is the closest thing to a perfect baguette I've tasted in decades. The pho broth is hearty and delicious. We'll be back often as possible. read more

I was very delighted to see a pho restaurant in Brenham! I am definitely a fan of the concept of ordering at the counter and then finding a seat, made for a great, quick and casual experience. Ordered the Pho and it was outstanding. The broth had a deep silky beef flavor. Definite umami. I would go back again just for the Pho. The restaurant is an upgrade in look over many Viet restaurants as it appears they built it out to be more modern. The service was attentive and the staff pleasant. First visit here but have been to many vietnamese restaurants. Order shrimp, vegetable and noodles dish. The picture in menu that the nice server confirmed was the dish showed noodles , bok choy, bean sprouts shrimp. What I got for $17 was a bowl full of noodles 3 anemic shrimp, 2 pieces of broccoli and some slivers of celery. I also got the spring rolls. I absolutely love this place. Opened a few weeks before COVID-19 quarantine, and that really hurt their business. But once they said we could eat out again this was the first place I wanted to go. The #9 is my fav - kinda like pho without the broth. Also the grilled pork spring rolls and fried egg rolls are wonderful. Their peanut sauce is the only peanut sauce I've ever liked. I don't know how this place is getting good reviews. The service is terrible and the food is pretty bad. We came here on a Saturday night. We were craving healthy food after a day of fried faire food and found this single Vietnamese food place between large cities. Awesome. We sit down, look at the menu, and my wife goes to the bathroom. The waitress comes up, she's extremely grumpy. "Do you know what you want?" "I do, but I don't know what my wife wants yet and she's in the bathroom." "And!?" Wow, that's not something that's ever happened before to me in a restaurant, so I ordered. When my wife came back I went to the restroom. I passed the waitress talking to a coworker and she was smiling and laughing, so I thought maybe she was in a better mood now. I got back and my wife says "wow, she's rude", apparently getting the same treatment I did. We actually received our food with a scowl. There was only one other table with people in it there, so it's not like she was over worked. On to the food: We usually order the Bun (vermicelli bowls) and both did so here. The BBQ pork was anything but the usual charbroiled pork you usually get with this dish. It was actually grey, no brown or char on it. It was in thin shaved clumps, barely lukewarm, and tasted bad enough that I actually pushed it to the side. The egg roll, noodles, and salad part of the bowl were actually pretty good; that's where the 2 star review is at. There's hope here for future patrons, you could get a different server and NOT order the pork. Back to the service: While we were eating, an elderly couple had come in to get some food to go. Being slow like some elderly are, he slowly opened the door for his wife. Before he could even get the door all the way open for her, this same waitress pushed past him, cutting off the older lady and storming next door for a drink order, because the restaurant apparently takes bubble tea orders from next door. Once again, there were only 2 tables occupied in the restaurant, she was not super busy. You might think, "Maybe this guy and his wife came in grumpy and demanding. Maybe they deserved it. Maybe they were loud, drunk, demanding Americans. Maybe they are those people that expect every service member to never have a bad day." We'd just spent the day having fun at the Renaissance Festival. We were quiet, polite, soft spoken to this woman. This was my BIRTHDAY dinner after a long day. read more

I placed a Togo order here on a Saturday around 2pm. I saw all the good reviews and decided to try them out. I ordered a Large chicken pho and an order of spring rolls. During pick up I asked the cashier for extra sriracha, she walked off to " grab some", I get home and I only have 1 packet of sriracha in total which was already in the Togo container so she definitely didn't put it there. (So what was she doing when she walked off??) I also asked before I walked out, if there was Hoisin in the bag as well, she said " Yes! Everything is in there". It definitely wasn't, all I had was the 1 sriracha packet, no utensils either. Luckily I found some near by where I was staying so I still wanted to try the food. I prepare my bowl, take my first bite and the noodles are so hard. I immediately spit it out because I couldn't believe how they were hardly even cooked. I still try to stay positive and try the spring rolls. The peanut sauce looks so watery, like peanut butter water, not thick at all and the shrimp tasted very old. I was pretty disappointed and unfortunately had to skip on this meal that day. Definitely won't be back. read more

I always get the grilled pork vermicelli togo. Its been great every time. I sub the noodles for extra veggies which is pretty nice too. Very clean and feels like a positive atmosphere to eat in as well. It is higher than other Vietnamese places I've eaten but the portions match and the quality is consistently great so I can't complain. Wow, this place is delicious! I've been here twice in one week! Food is flavorful, great portion size for a reasonable price. Brenham has been needing more variety with restaurants and I am so grateful for this place. Pho soups are a must try. The rice noodle dishes are also amazing! Spring rolls were good too. This place opened right as COVID started, so go support them! Service was pleasant and fast, although looks like they have some new servers who are learning so be patient with them. :) also, there is a BUBBLE TEA place right next store that the same owners opened up! I've been here only once before but sincerely do not remember anything memorable. Wanted some pho today and decided to check it out again. I've been to a lot of pho places and have my own favorites, but I know that the thing that sets different places apart is the broth. This broth is the BOMB. Very flavorful, sweet and salty and savory. Left some pretty empty bowls after our lunch. Being able to order boba drinks at the restaurant side is nice too. Definitely coming back, definitely recommending it to everyone I know! read more

Very bad experience. Food was not good at all and the restaurant was very dirty. I have no idea how this place has a 4.5 rating. My shrimp was very over cooked. The beef pho had a strong cinnamon taste. I would not recommend the place to anyone. read more
