Update 2/14/18: The crispy baam is a must try! Delicious, extra-crispy fried chicken, coleslaw, mustard, tomato, lettuce, and onions. So good! Original review: When this location was 7 Burgers, I stopped in with some frequency. I was sad to see that 7 burgers is no more, but thought I should stop in to see what it had become. They've done a slight update to the inside (paint, tables, nothing major). My girlfriend and I split a cheeseburger--nothing fancy, just the basic--and fries. Our total for those two came to $8.50 before tax. $3 might seem steep for some fries, but when the cheeseburger costs only $5.50 in downtown Nashville, it's hard to complain. The fries were perfect "burger fries": hot and crispy. They have seasoning available if you swing that way. The burger was excellent as well. It didn't look huge ($5.50, remember), but it was incredibly filling and tasty. We rounded the whole thing off with some vanilla ice cream cones, which were refreshing and not too heavy: perfect for a hot summer day. The service was excellent as well. I walk past this place often and see the same two individuals working almost every time. They are friendly, kind, and easy to talk to. The food, which is made to order, is ready quickly. Cheap, delicious, filling, and friendly. What more could you ask for? I have a feeling this will quickly become my favorite lunch spot. UPDATE: I've returned here several times, and every experience has been wonderful. They've hired some cashiers for the lunch rush, which helps the line, but the owners know my name and say hello as soon as they see me. The cashiers are polite and kind as well. Passsble, but disappointing. Burger parties were tough and overcooked. I expected a looser-packed, juicier patty from a burger place. Korean burger ("Seoul Burger") was bland. Expected a spicier experience. Crispy chicken exceptionally greasy on a tough cut of chicken. Soft fluffy buns, so a decent bacon cheeseburger. Good crispy onion rings. Thick cut fries, crisp outside but not very fluffy inside. Needed more salt. Sweet potato fries were good. Pickled radish no longer on the menu. Overall disappointing. With so much competition in burger joints, it's probably safe to pass on this place. read more

Got a burger and fries. Burger tasted too processed. Signs around restaurant indicate hand made burgers. They weren't. Good portion size and nicely presented on a steel basket. Ordered iced tea and it isn't fresh brewed, just junk out of a 'gold peak' dispenser from concentrate. Overall, since the food and drink isn't good, I won't be back. Having had my share or flavorless $13 Cheeseburgers from Broadway bars, I walked into Baam with low expectations, but was very pleasantly surprised. I am an unashamed plain burger fan - beef, cheese, bun only with no toppings. At many restaurants that means bland, the way many BBQ restaurants' meats have zero flavor without sauce. That's not the case here. I had the triple cheeseburger and it was wonderful with good beef flavor and tasty cheese. The fries were flavorful as well, not underdone, not overdone. Even the vanilla soft serve, at most places a recipe for cold white blandness, was good, having a nice vanilla flavor and sweetness without being sugary. The interior is definitely city burger stand whimsy, but if you want decor it's going to cost you more. In short, on many trips to downtown Nashville I have found restaurants I "could" eat at; Baam is one I want to and will seek out from now on. read more

Can't speak for atmosphere because I ordered food through DoorDash. The fries are reminiscent of boardwalk fries. So thick, yet crispy, and they don't skimp! Very, very good. The onion rings are also amazing. They almost melt in your mouth. The burger was okay. I say this probably because I am not the biggest fan of flame grilled burgers and I didn't see flame grilled advertisement (my reason for four stars). All I tasted in this burger was fire. The bun was also soggy from the tomato sitting on it. If you like flame grilled, then you'll love it. read more

I will say this - The burger was good, certainly better than average. The portion was large and price was very affordable. Plenty of fries with food seasoning available. The staff was extremely nice and hard working, keeping the place very clean. All together, that ranks it as a solid four-star option. This is probably one of my favorite burger place in town. I usually get the cheese burger which is juicy and the bread compliment the burger nicely. The BAAM sauce is killer! Id put that on everything. The fries are what I call "steak fries" their bigger than your ordinary fries but they are delicious especially when you sprinkle the old bay seasoning they have it make it even better! Very good experience and the fastest delivery ive ever had here. Reasonable prices, and low delivery fee. My burger was tasty with a good charcoal broiled flavor. The shakes (with super extra-wide straws) are pretty special as there's 26 ingredients you can add to them! My chocolate shake with peanut butter and pecans was yummy. They also make good fruit drinks like banana blueberry.. This is now my local go-to staple. Its a small simple space with a limited menu but if you want a burger, shake and fries, try it! read more

This is literally the BEST burger I have ever had in town :) I had the crispy baam burger, seoul baam burger and fire baam burger. It was truly AMAZING GRACE! The sauces and buns on the burger was just percectly toasted. Their handmade patties were fresh and juicy, and fries were crispy and thick ;) Also, their shakes were better than starbucks frapp. Great burger, fries, shakes, good service, very clean, and affordable price.
