I had this place bookmarked since i moved to Long Beach and it was thanks to Instagram that I made the move to try it this weekend. Its an interesting mix of Mediterranean, Mexican and American foods in a small spot off the corner of retro row, but the food is pretty good. Since this was just another spot to take off my bookmark, i went with the move to try two different dishes. The first was trying their habibi plate. The Salad had a good vinaigrette with crunchy pieces of something on top. The Hummus came a plenty, and the lemons were a good addition to that. The beef and chicken combo was very good, but i wasnt too crazy about their rice. It wasn't up to snuff and would have prefered a pilaf, but overall the price and heftiness of the plate was impressive. I saw this photo of their Birria quesadilla and knew that if their asada quesadilla was anything close, I had this spot on lock into my rotation. This place is definitely great for Mexican food. It was the best quesadilla i've ever had, and i was sober as a judge. Cant imagine what this does with alcohol and potentially explode my tastebuds. There is still a lot to try from this spot, but despite its challenging placement to park for free for pickup, I managed it well for a Sunday. Go try it out. This is the fourth place on 4th street that i've tried and i have a few more to explore some time.

Mediterranean meets Mexican turns out to be a compatible marriage. With the Mediterranean wraps, it was basically a burrito with Middle-Eastern ingredients. For me, it was less greasy and more spicy than the traditional burrito. The size of these wraps is impressive, and can be intimidating for those with smaller gastric capacity. The hummus provides a nice creamy texture and richness. The tacos are just okay, according to my teenage son. We didn't try the drinks. We took our order to-go, and there wasn't really any dine-in space inside. The layout is the equivalent of a stationery food truck.

    Chicken Tiki (Fusion) Burrito

Fatima's Grill has been one of my go to spots in Long Beach for fun fusion and late night cravings but today's visit was more of a "meh" than a "wow." I grabbed the Chicken Tikka Burrito to go to try something new and it landed right in the middle for me. The flavors weren't bad, but they weren't hitting the way I expected either and the whole thing was just way too rice heavy. It felt like the chicken and other fillings got lost in a giant brick of rice, so every bite tasted more like a rice burrito with a little chicken, instead of a balanced flavorful wrap. Not inedible by any means just not something I'd run back for. That said, I don't want this one miss to overshadow what Fatima's does well. I've tried a lot of different items here over time and I always appreciate that they prepare everything fresh and use quality ingredients. Their beef and chicken shawarma tacos are legit good, and that Lebamex sauce is straight up addictive easily one of my favorite things on the menu. Overall this visit was a solid 3 star experience not terrible, not amazing, just okay. I'll definitely be back for my usual shawarma tacos and Lebamex sauce fix

    Shrimp burrito with chili relleno.

Ok, I live just around the corner from Fatima's but have never stopped in until this week. I was craving some chile rellenos so I thought I'd try their burrito. First I tried ordering online. Online they have a Chile relleno burrito with any protein for $20. Kind of pricy, but ok. Except online ordering doesn't let you make any changes and I needed my burrito with no onions. So I decided to head to the restaurant and order in person. In person the same burrito ran $24. Ouch. As there's no menu posted it's really hard to know what all of their options and prices are, which is really why this review is 3 stars and not higher. I bit the bullet and ordered the burrito. Took about ten minutes before I was handed my nicely boxed burrito to go. So, the burrito. It was GOOD. Pretty large, I saved half for a second meal. There was a handful of chips and some green salsa that was delightfully fresh in the box as well. Lots of melty cheese. Was it worth $24? I don't know. I'd have a hard time paying that for a takeout burrito again. Staff were friendly, food was fresh. I'd like to see a menu posted in the restaurant so pricing is more transparent. Overall good experience if the prices fit your budget.

The employees were so joyful and gave us some great recommendations! 10 out 10 for a late night munchie sesh or even a quick lunch. The playlist was poppin and the food was even better! Just go. You wont regret it!

Triple threat burrito was excellent, fresh, hot, flavorful, packed with chicken, beef, and shrimp. Large portion too. The hot Cheeto mozzarella sticks were also hot, fresh, and flavorful. Inside was clean, food came out quick, workers were super friendly.

    Falafel Wrap
    Erica P.

A solid 2.5 Stars...At best. Being a vegetarian, I was excited to see a few falafel options on the menu. Sadly, the falafel had ZERO flavor. Like none. Actually, the entire wrap had zero flavor. Not even the small pieces of pickle. The only good thing I can say about it is...it's pretty. They also tossed in about 5 chips with it, but nothing to dip them in. Made absolutely not sense. Chips, no salsa? That's gotta be against the law.

    Eduardo P.

I got the hot Cheeto burrito and it was a lot bigger than I expected. It's really packed full and they stuff the hot Cheetos in the center. Definitely shareable I could eat only half and be satisfied(but never do). The meat was a little bland but there's a lot going on so it works. Price is on the higher end but the portions are huge The staff are nice and engaging, space was clean but small just around half a dozen seats along the wall.

    Gotita Agua Fresca- Horchata
    Javier S.

Cookie was a 7/10, horchata could be a little better overall 6/10 the to go box for the entree had like 4 chips in it which was disappointing the burrito was a 7/10. Little mom and pop restaurant for quick eats

    California Burrito

California Burrito sucks. Doesn't come with all the fixings of a traditional CA burrito (only mozzarella cheese, fries, your choice of meat for $20). No flavor and nothing online includes what is in the burrito so ordering was confusing.

We have been going to Fatima's grill (Downey and GG) for years now, so we are pretty familiar with their menu offerings. After being in the park for the morning, we decided to go to this location. I was super disappointed in almost everything there. The menu is condensed to barely any of our usual likings. There was no soap in the restroom (we had to ask them), and the floors were sticky. I ended up ordering the chicken quesadilla, which came with a side of chips but no salsa or sour cream. I asked to purchase the Lebamex hot suace and was told they don't have any, and they were handing me the last two small containers. Turns out that was a lie as patrons after us were given the same small containers of the hot sauce. I don't understand if I want to pay for more sauce, why I am being denied. The quesadilla was pretty dry and lacking that flavor. The chicken platter was also average. My husbands hot cheetos burger was dry and missing sauce. As I have mentioned, we have been to Fatima's at their other locations, and this was very disappointing.

Good eatsssssss !!!! The hot Cheeto burger is massive packed with those hot Cheetos. Those birria tacos nicely seasoned juicy with the consume packed with meat. Good eats if you're ever in the Long Beach area

I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The wait was well worth it because each dish offered an explosion of flavors. My favorite dish was the birria, with the salmon ceviche as a close second. The mole was great too, but I'd say the other two dishes were more memorable and something I'd return for. I can't recommend the birria enough, as the flavors were reminiscent of what I've had in Mexico, very authentic. The space is small and can feel a bit tight, but sometimes the best food comes from these types of "hole in the wall" places. Ultimately, I'd say give Lola's a try! The soup here lacks the tastebud awakening zip that Don Chato's has. The ono fish taco experience was my fault... I hate fried fish taco, so I had lofty expectations, but due to the fact that I do not prefer corn tortillas, guacamole or raw onions, led to much disappointment since It has all three. The potato taquito was okay... but I am not a taquito person, so if you are I would seriously encourage you to try it. The star of the table was the Mexican corn. It may not compete with Cornman in Lincoln Heights, but it was decent. Very sweet as well. Happy hour menu offered a good amount of items for a great deal. As well as draft beer and cocktails. Regular menu is great as well which we've had before. Food, an order of the tostada both with shrimp and aguachili. Served with two small tostada and handful of crevice on top. Both were quite tasty and very well flavored in the juice. Also two of the street tacos with birria. They were quite small but did have a major punch of flavor to it. And well priced at 2.50 a piece. Nonetheless, presentation and portion sizes were respectable. The last comment is that food here is quite pricey but that reflects the likely high rent of a restaurant in 2nd and PCH. Ola still exceeded expectations and provided a more than pleasant meal.

Great location, shoreline village. View of the boats, relaxing and on a Sunday, it's hard to beat…read morethe atmosphere. So I ordered a Bloody Mary and their Version is extremely sweet. So I had to return it . I the ordered a Coronita Margarita and that is/was tasty. They do have many different offerings of tequilas. And honestly fairly priced. I started with the Fondido de queso basically a Chorizo fondue. It was very good, only the chips were stale. Not all the chips so just so you know, I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas. The service has been very accommodating. The flavor from the mole was perfect, smooth rich a touch of heat and chocolate. Very flavorful and with the sides of black beans and rice, a tasty pairing. There is side of sweet corn , completing the plate. Great dish. I arrived at 1130 which apparently was the best time. By noon the place was packed and jumping. TVs for the games and plenty of room, so not so crowded despite the amount of people. Great place for a date , or family/friends gathering.

What an awful Tourist Trap. This is a place that once you come one, you will never return - and…read more the level of service and quality of food reflects that management knowledge. First interaction: They advertise a Happy Hour on M-F from 5-6 PM We had this interaction with a server in the bar. "Can we get an order in before Happy Hour is up?" Server "Of course. (Looking at phone the time on their phone). What would you like?" We order. Drinks are brought over along with the check for full price drinks. Me "Can you please fix this check? It's not 6 yet and you are still on Happy Hour, that's why we rushed over." Server "Oh yeah, today we don't have Happy Hour so there is no discount." Me "What so you mean, we ordered these drinks on Happy Hour and now you are telling us there is no Happy Hour as advertised." Server: "Well, we don't do Happy Hour when there is an event in the area, so they are full price." Second interaction (after waiting 45 minutes for a table in the restaurant). We ordered the "made to order table side guac" for 15.50 for an appetizer. About 10 minutes later, a guac is delivered to the table that was either run through a blender or was taken from a tub with a spoonful of pico mixed in. So much for the advertised table side experience or fresh avocado. The guac we buy at Trader Joe's and from Costco are way better. Third Interaction when ordering an entree. I order enchiladas and they have red or green sauce. I ask, Can I get both red sauce on one and green sauce on the other? Response, "well there's an extra charge for that". Besides being lied to about "Happy Hour" and about the "Table-side" Guac and them being told a basic request is going to cost extra, it's is c extremely clear that this place has no respect for their customers and no expectation that anyone will return. I know the 6 local people in our group will never return.
