Baba's is the place! Unassuming food spot with great service, food, flavors and casual yet homey decor. We were attending a friend's event nearby and wanted to grab dinner before hand. And we discovere Baba's and their many options for both of us. Babe eats just about anything but doesn't always enjoy certain Greek dishes and while I'm more limited being vegan I love Mediterranean and Greek style dishes. And let me tell yo Baba's has it all! We went with items from their Greek Burritos and Platters sections. He did a shawarma platter and I had the vegan falafel burrito. We discussed how we didn't know how to pronounce Gyros properly and out food came out pretty promptly. My burrito took a little longer and came with a red tortilla, tomato based and sliced potatoes. It was amazing and loaded with flavors. Their garlic sauce and pastes are 10/10. I think among the two of us we had all their sauces on the table including Cilantro Sauce, Habanero Hot Sauce and tzatziki (which is yogurt based). You can enjoy Appetizers, Salads, Loaded Greek Fries, Burgers, The Greek Crunch (wraps), Gyros, Burritos (Greek Cali or Greek style), and Platters. I'm not sure if they do any desserts here, but they have a good variety of bottled or canned beverages, from water to juice and sodas. It's very fast casual - order and pay up front and seat yourself with some table service. They do a good amount of takeout orders as we saw some get called in and/or picked up. They offer delivery as well. Open from 11AM until 9PM every day of the week. Baba's is an absolute treat! We already agreed to come back soon.

Had a chance to try out this place. Nice little shop. I ordered the steak and shrimp plate that came with rice and a salad I added kofta. Oh and it came with hummas and peta bread. To drink I had the clearly Canadian. The guy that helped me was super nice and friendly. Very helpful answered all of my questions (I was super hungry and couldn't make up my mind what I wanted so I asked lots of questions lol) everything was really good. What stood out to me the most was the rice! Of all things right? Well let me tell u. It was cooked perfectly and very well seasoned. I mean the steak and shrimp was good it's what its expected from a Mediterranean place (the owner is from Jordan btw) and the hummus was hummusing salad was very fresh and the kofta was VERY juicy cooked too perfectly. Usually when I order kofta it's very dry. Over all I would definitely comeback and try their other stuff.

Went there for the first time this past weekend let me tell you the food was very tasty! Friendly and helpful staff. We took our 11 year-old boys and they loved it also.

Located on Long Beach Boulevard and Willow in Long Beach, Baba's Cuisine was previously a catering business that specialized in falafel and hummus, so I knew that their falafel pita sandwich was one of their signature items. I visited a week ago and had a suboptimal experience from my door dash order; however, they asked me to come back to try the menu as intended, and I felt that my falafel sandwich today was far, far better. Their falafel sandwich features their vegan-friendly, gluten-free, house made falafel with their blend of herbs, and spices. Unlike my previous experience, the sandwich was balanced with crispy cucumbers, tart pickles, hummus, and tahini. I also recommend their red sauce if you like spicy heat that resembles sambal oelek and their green chile sauce if you like your heat and flavor to come from serranos, garlic, and cilantro. The falafel was freshly fried, fluffy, and delicious. Make sure you get it fully loaded because it's not enjoyable without the creamy sauces, the cool and crispy cucumbers, and the tart pickles. My work is local to this business, and I will definitely be back with colleagues to try their beef kebab plate, which is affordable at $10.99 for a sandwich (with one kebab) or a plate for $17.99 (with two kebabs). For this review to be updated to five stars, what I'm looking for is consistency of experience during the lunch hours, I'm looking for how they do with catering orders, and I'm genuinely looking forward to trying their meat plates! I think that this community needs affordably priced Mediterranean options and I'm glad they're here on Long Beach Blvd and Willow. Support the business if you live/work locally! Instead of using door dash, I'd recommend phoning in your order so that your pickup order goes quickly and so that you can get the best prices.

I'm so glad Manny's connected with Baba's! I loved their menu and food at their location in Paramount. And they've carried it over and collabed with Baba's. This was my first visit since they've opened at this new location. My friend and I ordered the chicken kabob plate. Delish! The chicken was juicy and flavorful, as were the sautéed veggies. The pita and hummus were excellent. And the sauces! I also love their filet mignon burrito, but my fav is the crunch wrap with rib eye! So, so good! And you gotta try their potatoes with the cilantro sauce. You won't be disappointed! Check them out! You're gonna love it. Thank you, Manny's, for joining with Baba's! And the customer service is excellent!

Tried this place for Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food and loved it! We got a warm welcoming from Mani. He was very friendly and polite to us. The chicken and beef shawarma was amazing, and the homemade potato appetizer was packed with fresh ingredients and flavorful sauces. Thank you so much, highly recommend checking them out!

Today my daughters and I decided to give Baba's a try since we previously wanted to try Manny's in Paramount since it burned down and didn't get the chance to try it talking to a friend she mentioned that they had another location in Long Beach and since I grew up in Long Beach we decided to support them by trying out their dishes and we were blown out by the delicious food rich in flavor the gentleman in the front was super nice and attentive and gave us an excellent service high five to the cook it was chefs kiss ‍ the chicken was juicy and it really felt like homemade fresh food we would definitely come back.

    Ribeye over fries

Google Review Baba's Mediterranean is an easy 5 stars. Manny is solid. You can tell he genuinely cares about the food he serves and takes pride in the recipes he puts together. The service was excellent from start to finish. I ordered the Ribeye Fries, and every part of the dish was on point. It's a simple concept, but every element worked perfectly together. Manny also brought out water with lemon and three house-made sauces that were all amazing. The garlic sauce was packed with flavor, the spicy chipotle sauce was a banger, and the green sauce was incredible--you'd never believe it's made with zucchini. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. This is the kind of place where you can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. I'll definitely be back and can already see myself becoming a regular. Yelp Review Some restaurants have good food. Some have good service. Baba's Mediterranean has both. Manny made the experience. He's passionate about what he does and was happy to explain the food, the sauces, and the thought behind everything. That kind of hospitality is getting harder to find these days. I went with the Ribeye Fries and was seriously impressed. Every component of the dish was done right and complemented each other perfectly. Nothing felt thrown together. You could tell it was made fresh and with intention. The standout surprise was the sauces. The garlic sauce was rich and flavorful, the chipotle sauce had the perfect kick, and the green sauce was ridiculously good. When Manny mentioned it was made with zucchini, I honestly couldn't believe it. The food, the service, and the attention to detail all stood out. Places like this deserve support. Looking forward to trying more of the menu because if the Ribeye Fries are any indication, you really can't miss here.

    Chicken kabob plate

The best plate I've ever had! Everything was seasoned perfectly, the chicken was so tender, the rice was moist and flavorful, the salad had a good mix of veggies and feta. The service was also amazing and they're so nice! Highly recommend

You order at the counter and they bring your food on real plates with real flatware to the table. Very generous portions! Definitely shareable! We ordered two Gyro Plates, one lamb and one chicken. Excellent flavors! The plates come with potatoes, fries, or rice; pitas; and Greek Salad (lots of Feta and Olives!). Of course we took at least half to go home! Service was very friendly and helpful. Very busy place yet our wait for our food was short. There's a small parking lot but had no problem finding a spot!

That first experience is what made me come back. On my second visit, I ordered the same salad with chicken and lamb because I wanted that same experience again. When I got back to work, I realized the chicken was missing. I did not complain because I still had the lamb and the rest of the salad, and I understand that mistakes happen. Still, it was disappointing because I specifically came back wanting the same complete meal I had the first time. On my third visit, I drove from Gardena to Signal Hill specifically for that salad. After driving back to Gardena, I realized there was no dressing in the bag. I called the restaurant and explained what happened. I was told, "I'm sorry." At first I accepted that, but then I thought, what am I supposed to do with a salad with no dressing? I called back because I wanted to know what could be done. I was told that if I wanted my money back, I would have to bring the salad back to the restaurant. That meant after already driving from Gardena to Signal Hill and back, I was expected to make another trip because of something the restaurant forgot. When I explained that I was disappointed with how the situation was being handled and that I planned to leave a review, the woman on the phone responded, "All this for a dressing?" That comment bothered me more than the original mistake. Yes, it was dressing, but that misses the point. This was already the second time something had been left out of my order. The first time, I let it go. This time, the missing item affected the whole meal. What I would have appreciated was simple customer service. Acknowledge the inconvenience and make an effort to keep the customer. Something as simple as, "We apologize. Unfortunately, we cannot refund you without the food being returned, but on your next visit we will make sure we take care of you," would have completely changed the experience. Even offering a drink next time or simply saying they appreciated my business would have shown that they cared. I also tipped on my takeout order because I believe a tip is a way of showing appreciation for good service and attention to detail. I understand that a tip does not guarantee perfection, but it was disappointing to tip and still receive an incomplete order. There was also something I observed during this visit that concerned me. Someone spilled a drink, and one of the cooks helped clean it up. He wiped the floor while wearing gloves and, from what I could see, appeared to keep the same gloves on when returning to food preparation. That made me uncomfortable. I would have expected the gloves to be changed before handling food again. To be fair, the restaurant itself looks clean, organized, and well maintained. The tables, chairs, counters, and furniture appear to be in good condition. That is one of the reasons I kept giving this place another chance. I wanted to like Pita Pitaki. After my first visit, I thought it might become one of my go to places. Unfortunately, I never really got that same full experience again. My first visit was good. My second visit was missing the chicken. My third visit was missing the dressing, followed by customer service that made me feel like my concern did not matter. You can have good food and a clean restaurant, but customer service still matters. Sometimes how a business handles a mistake matters more than the mistake itself. My advice for anyone ordering takeout here is simple. Double check your order before you leave. Open the bag and make sure you have everything, especially meats, sauces, and dressing. Unfortunately, after giving this place several chances, it is no longer one of my go to spots.

Thankfully, Sam and Clay were working again, along with some other very nice and accommodating team members. We decided to enjoy a bottle of wine and an appetizer, and as usual, everything was wonderful. What really stood out to us, though, was the genuine hospitality. When we finished, Sam took the time to give us some information about other establishments in the area that we might enjoy. We took her advice, checked a couple of them out, and had a great time. Eventually, we wandered back to George's for dinner and shared the chicken spinachi. Oh my... was it delicious! The salad, rice, pita, and tzatziki were also amazing. I just want to take a moment to say how impressed my wife and I were with Sam and Clay, who were working at the bar. They actually remembered us from our visit last month, which was our first time at this location. That may seem like a small thing, but to us it meant a lot. We were treated like family. Both Sam and Clay have such refreshing personalities, and their kindness and genuine hospitality really made our evening special.
