Babbo is just always consistently really GOOD whether it's dine in or carry out. About the only complaint I have is that sometimes they are out of certain dishes , which is simply because they are consistently good, and therefore popular and busy. Fantastic staff, always! read more

This was my husband and my first time visiting this wonderful Italian eatery. We were dining with a group of friends and we were seated in the back in a cozy area near the kitchen. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. I ordered the personal pizza called Bianco. It was loaded with mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and fresh basil with Italian seasoning. My husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were huge and the sauce was fresh with the right amount of seasoning. I had ice tea and my husband had ice water. To finish it off we had cheesecake with strawberry sauce on the side. It was decadent and the slice was enormous--perfect for two people to share. The service was excellent.... our waitress was efficient, kind and fast. The staff at this location is marvelous. We thoroughly enjoyed the good food and the company of our friends. We ordered pizza takeout. The traditional 16" cheese, 11" cheese and an 11" cauliflower crust bianco. It was ready when I got there 20 minutes later. Got home and the pizza was only warm, the crust was so thick and doughy, no char, and the traditional looked like a bianco there was so much cheese on it. The cauliflower crust bianco had no flavor. I've been in this place in probably 10 years and it is still just as good as I remember it. The focaccia bread is awesome with olive oil and balsamic dipping. My side salad was complete with lettuce tomato olives blue cheese crumbles olives and a balsamic dressing. Main course was alfredo supreme with shrimp. The shrimp were well sized and fresh. The cream and butter sauce went great with the shrimp and pasta. Oh, for fun drink try the orange dreamsicle. Orange flavoring with a soda mix. Our server was great and so was the atmosphere. Stick with what you know! Went for lunch with co-workers that I hadn't seen in four plus months. Tried one of their new sandwiches with the lunch special and regretted it instantly. First of all, it was not even a sandwich, it was dough with two slices of deli turkey and completely flavorless. Added their new "hand cut" fries for $3.99 and they were pretty much raw. $20 for basically bread and a small wedge salad. We stayed chatting, as they weren't that busy and server couldn't bother to even refill waters. We will not be doing any lunches here again! Stick with pizza and salad when eating here. read more

We have seen reviews online and heard good things about the restaurant and even seen it on the news! It was our first time here and our waiter was not friendly nor was he very helpful. I have a gluten allergy and on their menu it states:gluten free noodles available at no extra charge. Great, but let's consider the sauces... do you add flour as a thickener? Yes. Okay so what can I have? Well just the marinara. So my options are immediately cut down to two pasta choices... so then I add chicken. They forgot my chicken. I asked for it and another 10 minutes go by before they were able to get it to me, but the chicken had zero flavor. It was almost inedible. I chose to stop eating after 2 bites. My boyfriends meal was also not good and he had one bite before setting it aside. My grandmother said the meatballs left an awful taster in her mouth. Our overall experience was not good. We spilled a drink and not a single waiter stopped to bring us extra napkins or offer to refill the drink. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. The staff was not friendly and the food was not good. The manager did come by, apologize and took care of our whole ticket. Considering we only had about 5 bites I'd say that was fair. read more

Writing this review as this was my place to go, but lately has gone way downhill. 2nd week in a row, got take out, ordered creamy garlic chicken pasta, sauce is literally like skim milk, watery no taste and leaked all over in the bag and in my new car. 2nd dish was the White Buffalo pasta, usually excellent, 1/2 piece of the chicken was burnt and inedible. And their bread that they give is usually excellent, but totally burnt. $52 for 3 dishes and we were able to eat not even 2, e we all had to share. See photos. We were regulars, but todays experience has changed our patronage. The series of events unfolded in the following steps. 1. When we first came in, we were not greeted even though three ladies stood by the bar. We waited for 2 minutes before she came up without saying hello, just how many. I proceeded to tell her four than she walked away. 2. When she finally came back, I asked her if we could sit in the booth near the back door window. Even though the restaurant had only two customers, she said we could not because it was reserved for six or more guest. 3. When she finally walked back my wife walked in with our small Chihuahua dog in a secured covered dog stroller, which she has done multiple times before at the same restaurant. 4. My wife said we will sit outside on the patio, which again we dined before with our dog in a covered stroller. The lady said she has to talk to the manager, which she then came over and said they were not permitted in the store or on the patio, unless our dog was a medical assist dog. Good food, hit or miss service, interesting atmosphere. Great for groups! Downsides are that service can be slow and prices seem high for what you get. Upside is that it's convenient, consistent and has pretty good service. Reason it's not getting 5 stars is because there's no gosh there that I've had that's out of this world delicious, and the service experience has never been exceptional. I honestly don't know why I come back here. Since covid we have only done carry out orders. I prefer to not have to wait so I always show up at least 15 minutes after their estimated time. Even when doing that, I still end up having to wait at least 15 minutes. In my most recent visit, the food was ready 1 hour and 5 minutes after I had ordered it (it was 3 food items). When we finally got home with it, the sauce from my oldest sons pasta had leaked all over (it never fell or was turned on it's side) and my youngest sons calzone was burnt on top. The food here is excellent. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have a cute little patio where we enjoyed our meals. The kid meal portions are large! My kids love the bread and they loved the pizza and pasta. I had the pancetta brussel sprout pasta and my husband had the pasta valducci. My kids enjoyed a personal cheese pizza and spaghetti marinara and we got the pesto crostini for the table. Everything was superb and we will be back again soon!! read more

We used to love Babbo but our two visits from gone we what thought was a fluke to just plain bad. The first bad visit after years of delightful dinning with family and friends orders came out wrong but we overlooked because it the staff kind and very professional. Then Sunday I tried order over the phone and was rudely told "we don't pre orders in advance". So I called & placed my closer to the time we wanted our food. I was quoted 15mins, since we live about 10 min away so left in 5min after I placed the call. When my husband & I arrived we over 15min for food. The rude female bartender spent chatting with staff then attended to the customers kept turning her back us. I am pretty she is the rude person I spoke to on the phone. read more

I used to be a frequent customer at your eatery. We always enjoy different varieties of pasta and spaghetti at your restaurant. Today was no different and since a friend of mine was visiting us from overseas I wanted to have him taste the good food so we chose to come to your restaurant located on 67th Ave in north Phoenix along with my two daughters aged 10 and 7. We are a strictly vegetarian family and consume no meat, eggs or fish due to us being devout Jains. Even my school going children do not eat cakes or pastries since they know it may contain eggs. While in your restaurant we place an order for the following items : 1. Kids Menu - Penne Alfredo with Kids Fruit on the side and no drink. 2. Petes Pink Fettuccini 3. Pasta Martini I have clearly and twice mentioned to the server that we would like to have a strict vegetarian food without chicken, meat, eggs or fish. Upon bringing the dishes I could clearly see pieces of Chicken in the Pasta Martini so I called the server and asked her to which she apologized and took the dish away telling us that she will have the Chef remake the dish. While she was taking away the dish I again asked her if the Pink Fettuccini is vegetarian or not to which she confirmed that it is indeed vegetarian. We then told her to cancel the Pasta Martini since looking at the chicken pieces we were not in a mood to eat that dish at all. Then we started eating our lunch and almost at the end of it I noticed a small piece of something brown in it. To confirm my suspicion I requested the server to have a look at it and then she took the dish inside to get it checked. In two/three minutes the manager Kim arrived at our table and informed us of the harrowing truth. She said that the Pink Fettuccini was prepared in the Marinara Sauce which had meat balls in it so a piece of that meat ball came up into our dish. This means not only were we served food that we did not ask for but also we were without our knowledge served Beef which goes all against our entire Indian communities belief and practices. This was completely shocking and I could not believe Babbo's is using such a practice to prepare their food without the customer's explicit knowledge. The manager (Kim) then offered to waive off the tab but clearly I did not feel it was about money or that I was trying to get free food so I insisted I would pay the tab. To my final surprise I was charged for a Kids meal, Pink Fettuccini and also for a dish or Pasta Valducci which I neither ordered nor ate. This double's down on the mistakes made by the staff as whole while taking the orders, while generating the bills and so on. I am really shocked by this overall experience and my 10 year old no longer feels that eating at your eatery is safe anymore since she does not know what all things the food is going to be contaminated (mixed) with like Marinara Sauce with Meatballs in this case. I am writing this mail to bring these issues to your attention and this is a case of gross negligence and plays right against the customer rights. read more

I am extremely picky about the things I post reviews on I really only comment on really amazing or a run for your life lol! I had Babbo cater my elegant intimate very small wedding and it was absolutely perfect. Honestly if I could do more than five stars I would. We ended up getting the metal trays from party city which I do recommend if the food is going to sit there the food did arrive warm but having the trays will allow you to serve it piping hot and that was just totally awesome it was just like being at the restaurant. I wish I could've gotten the delivery man's name but he even help us set up the trays and sterno's he was amazing! read more

This is good Italian food. Not the best in the world, but quite good. My wife likes the Pomodoro salad, which is a tomato with a chunk​ of fresh mozza - I guess that passes for salad these days. The spaghetti​ and meatball​ are good as is the three cheese mac and cheese. Also had the pizza here in it had a nice thin crust with good cheese and toppings. Service is a bit of a weak point. You can tell the really good chains have figured out a way to hire and train better staff. The servers here are fine, but they aren't trained like the really good servers at a chain like Cheesecake​ Factory or something​ like that. Friendly, but missing that little extra. I normally love this restaurant but tonight I had Ubereats pick up and deliver my food - my entree was fine but the tiramisu I ordered which I was most excited about was SO SOUR! It tasted like milk or cream had gone bad. I had to spit it out and throw away the entire dessert which was so disappointing! Working in the restaurant industry for 10 plus years, I'm not sure how something like this could go overlooked as chefs/cooks should be properly dating and taste testing all product. Came here for a birthday dinner with family and friends and we were seated immediately with our reservations. We ordered the Chicken Chipotle Pasta and the Spicy Alfredo Pasta. The chicken chipotle pasta was just okay, I felt like something was missing from it. Wasn't bad, but wasn't very good. The Spicy Alfredo Pasta has a nice kick to it but was very good. The bread and the dip you get was soooooo delicious. I will say it's super small inside and it feels like all of the tables are really close together. The service was great and we were in and out within an hour. They have a huge menu with a variety of options so I will be back to try something new. read more

Well we Love Babbo's and are very pleased when we eat in house. But the last two take out orders we haven't been as lucky. On our $57 order including tip we were missing zuca chips and balsamic/olive oil o today's takeout. Last time we ordered on their special meat ball spaghetti and instead of being charged $8.99 we we charged $16.95. The manager told us that he couldn't do anything about the spaghetti over charge because we didn't call that day to let them know of the wrong charge. And for the missing zuca chips and olive oil i guess it's our fault for not checking the take out order. read more
