Met with a group for a happy hour the other night I believe there were 12 of us in total. The atmosphere was really nice. I had an appetizer and two drinks (cosmopolitan martini) and both were wonderful. Mamma Mia! It's always a great night when we eat at BABBO. The menu has great options for everyone and every taste. They take reservations for parties over six so it's perfect for when family comes into town. You can substitute zoodles for all pasta dishes and they have gluten free. I loved, loved, loved all the veggies in my dish. Check out the chalkboard menu, a perfect way to get exactly what you want. The restaurant is charming and quaint. It's not too big so it keeps a romantic charm. It gets busy at dinner time so plan accordingly. Don't skip dessert! They are worth the extra calories. read more

We live less than 5 min away and had not been here since 2020. It does feel like it changed but the food was delicious. My husband had the Martini pasta and I had the Italian sausage pasta. We kept trading plates back and forth because they were both so good. The service was pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only complaint was the music was off... it was all over the place. We went in tonight at about 8:00pm. It wasn't busy we were sat down and waited 10 minutes until we were even greeted. Asked for a booster seat they didn't have any asked for a kids menu crayons didn't have any then waited another 10 minutes until our server took our order. We ordered right away since we had so much time to look over the menu. Got a salad to share, two entrees, and a kids meal. Literally 10 min past and all items come out. The food came out quicker than it took for us to be greeted by a server. The food was okay, honestly I'd rather go to Olive Garden. We went in for the cheese wheel but no one mentioned anything to it for us. Just really disappointed with the service overall. I would not recommend. We wasted $90 here tonight. read more

First I want to say our server was wonderful. A young man who you could tell was doing his best in a less than optimal situation. They seemed very short staffed and aside from our waiter no one was welcoming. Food was mediocre at best and overpriced for the quality (burned vegetables and tough chicken). Been a customer of Babbos for ten years. We've seen the prices go up. That's understandable. We often get Takeout and typically enjoy our meals. However, this evening, we noticed they changed their take out containers from the aluminum, to smaller plastic dishes. Therefore significantly reducing the serving size. This was a return visit after a not so great visit to another of their locations. This is on West Bell Road and is new. In short, it's fantastic. Better by far than the one on 67th Ave. Better service. Food. Atmosphere. We have always loved Babbo and are happy to report it is alive and well, at least at this Bell Road location. Give it a try. I am sad to report, that my sister's ADA Service Dog was not welcome at the 67th ave & 101 location. My sister & I have been long term customers. We usually eat lunch here 1 x per week, & sometimes more often. We have brought our entire dental office staff, for Birthday celebrations & Baby Showers. We had a family dinner at Babbo earlier this evening. The restaurant was nearly empty so we expected prompt service. That turned out to be an unrealistic expectation. After being seated with menus, the server waited a full 20 minutes before returning to our table to take our orders. The meals took almost an hour to arrive. The meat portion was barely adequate, but the pasta portion was huge. The marinara sauce was just okay. In summary, the service was unacceptable, and the food was barely adequate. I had the same Chicken Parmesan entree at nearby Cucina Tagliani last week, where I loved the food, huge meat portion, and service was excellent. It is obvious where we will be going on our next eat-out Italian meal. read more

It really saddens me to have to leave such a poor review for Babbo. We have eaten at their other location and had nothing but great things to say about it. However, our first experience at this location has been one disappointment after another. Our waiter showed up and brought our drinks and appetizer. Everything was great - but that is where it ended. My son ordered the Gorgonzola salad with shrimp - they brought it out with chicken - not shrimp. We reminded the server that we had ordered shrimp. Our waiter stopped by By the time he returned with my son's meal, the rest of the table was nearly done eating (and I had shared my meal with him because I felt badly that he was the only one at the table who didn't have food.). When my son's meal finally arrived it was the same salad with shrimp on top - he spent the rest of the evening picking the chicken out of his salad. I stopped in twice within a month. Sat st the bar both times. First time was served my drink right away, ordered food and 45 minutes later still hadn't eaten. Bartender acted like I wasnt there. Second time, same bartender manager I think, took my drink order but walked away and after about 20 minutes I still had not gotten my drink. I was the only person at the bar. Other people sat down and a different server made them drinks and took their food order. My drink order was totally forgotten or ignored at that point. This happened twice in one month. This place has been a family favorite for years, but what's happened? The last three times I have ordered takeout, the pasta is so overdone, it's mushy and lacks flavor. The Italian sausage pasta is one of my favorites. Today was the third time in a row that we've ordered take out and I don't even wanna finish it. We went to Babbo Italian Eatery in Glendale and were disappointed with the experience. The food was good, but $18.50 for a standard order of spaghetti and meatballs seemed quite high. Not to mention $7.95 for a standard Coors Light draught..WOW! Then on top of that they charge a 2.95% transaction fee, no matter how you decide to pay your bill. I've seen some restaurants add a similar fee for using a credit card but never for a "transaction". And because it's a (non-negotiable) transaction fee, 10.2% sales tax is also applied to that amount. I doubt we'll be back. read more

The customer service was so unhelpful and gaslit us into thinking they did nothing wrong. Quickly blamed DoorDash which clearly has nothing to do with quality of food. Ate at Babbos tonight with another couple and we all had different orders; Italian sandwich Meatball sandwich Pizza Fettucini with chicken All were served prompt and all were delicious. We were seated in a back booth which was wonderful as we could actually have a conversation in a restaurant with good ambiance. All of us had dined here years ago when the restaurant first opened and were not impressed. Tonight changed our minds and it will definitely be a go to place to dine from here on in. This place needs to get there crap together. I order a bottle of wine and the bar tender put a glass down and open bottle and didn't poor my glass. I don't mind porting my own glass but I've NEVER had a bar tender give me a bottle without pouring the first glass. And I was a bartender and server for 10 years. Then it took nearly 40 minutes for my to go order to arrive. And let's get something clear...there was 1 table in the restaurant and me. Then I got my food to go and I got charge 6 freaking dollars for a side of Alfredo sauce in a bowl that wasn't even filled up. (See picture). Then I get home and there is no oil/vinegar in The to-go order to go with the bread. And I ordered a calzone and it was 3/4 filled with air. That's freaking ridiculous. See pictures. We eat at Babbos often, with our latest visit on February 22nd at the 67th Ave. and 101 location. I have Celiac's disease and there are few places that I can trust with my allergy. Babbos does a very good job. Let me start off by saying I LOVE the food (which is why I continue eating there). I've tried the pasta dishes and many of the salads and I have never been disappointed. The service, on the other hand, is pretty much the worst I've ever encountered. We always seem to get the same female waitress and she just has an "I don't give a %&*# attitude whether you eat here or not." On Thursday, the music was so loud that we couldn't hear each other in our small booth. The speaker was right over our heads. We asked 5 times to have the music turned down, and each time, we were told by the server and manager that the music was as low as it could go. We were the ONLY table in the restaurant for the first 40 minutes we were there. Plates of olive oil were delivered on the table within minutes of our arrival, but the bread never arrived. We finally asked for bread after our entrees arrived. It was served, but without plates. Again, except for a few patrons at the bar, we were the only table in the restaurant. I finally got up to get the plates myself. We had to constantly ask for drink refills. I frequently order zoodles instead of pasta, and it infuriates me that there is an additional charge for zoodles. I am already paying for the pasta (which I am not getting because I am substituting zoodles), but on top of that charge, I have to pay for the zoodles. When the bill arrives, it always has a "convenience fee" added to it. Convenience fee? I'm a generous tipper and I frequently tip 25-30% of the bill, but this convenience fee (especially because the service is so lacking) makes me so angry that I now tip only 15%. After our poor service on Thursday, I've decided that I will eat less frequently at Babbos, just not in the restaurant. I'm going to order takeout from now on. read more

Super Good Food & service.. my husband & I shared the large chopped blue cheese salad & a personal pan margarita pizza & we still had left overs. Our server check on us to make sure we were doing fine in a timely manner. They give you free fresh focaccia bread with oil & balsamic vinegar which was killer good!! Always consistently good. Nothing ever stands out as super spectacular other than their bread, but all of it is simply very good. The gorgonzola salad is a really nice refreshing blend of leafy greens, nuts, fruits, and a light dressing. Their super greens pasta is very tasty, and you won't even know you're eating a whole bunch of kale-based nutrition as it blends in with the other flavors perfectly. HORRIBLE! It's possibly the worst pizza I have ever had the misfortune of wasting way to much time and money on. A 16" pizza with 3 toppings for $32.00! I should have asked for my money back. The edging of the pizza was about 2" so in actuality, it was a 14" pizza. NO FLAVOR whatsoever. Domino's Pizza would have been a much better choice. And it took about an hour to get. We walked in on a Sunday night about 5 o'clock. All that was in there was a kids' birthday party and two other tables. So very disappointed. Sad. read more

I just LOVE Babbo! I originally visited this restaurant because my mom suggested I go and try the spaghetti night. It was awesome, and I now try to visit whenever I can because it is delicious. FOOD: I have only had the spaghetti bowls here during the weekday special. I really love the dish here though along with their meatballs because they have incredible flavor and are always consistent. The only thing I wish is that the dish came with more sauce and another meatball because they are just so good! The bread they also bring out before the food is amazing and always fresh. Dipping that into olive oil and vinegar with extra pepper is simply the best. SERVICE: The service has always been consistent and friendly here. Everyone has been great and I really haven't had a bad experience before. OVERALL: Babbo is an amazing place to eat. I highly recommend trying the spaghetti night for how cheap and amazing the dish is. read more

Overall, I would recommend giving Babbo a try. Excellent pizza, and delicious marinara sauce. I really enjoyed the garlic flavor in the sauce on my Margherita pizza--it was prominent, but not overpowering. I wasn't the biggest fan of the crust. It's good, but I prefer a puffy, crispy Neapolitan-style crust from places like pizzeria bianco.
