We went to Babbo last night for their Spaghetti and Meatball special. NOT GOOD AT ALL First when I ordered I asked if I could meat sauce as I dont like meatballs. Waitress said she with upcharge. So meal came AND my pasta was all cut up in bite site pieces. I asked the waitress and she couldnt answer I started to eat my pasta and there was a wierd taste but I kept eating When my bill came I found out they charged me $6.99 for the meat sauce. I said why so much, you said up charge but not $7. Her answer was we had to charge you for the order of bolgneses. I was like you couldnt of told me it was that much when you mentioned the upcharge. The first time I came here I loved my meal, which was a zoodles with lemon butter sauce and pancetta situation. Came here again and did the artichoke and sundried tomato chalkboard option with chicken. Sadly the chicken was tough, dry, and flavorless . Also, there was a random transaction fee charged at the bottom of the receipt. Some people in my party were charged it and some weren't. Our server didn't really have an explanation. 3 strikes your out!! This location has the worst service and even worst customer service. My wife and I have ordered from this location 3 times and been disappointed every time. First strike.. sure you mess up an order its all good especially if you correct the problem and the food is good. Second time.. Yep once again order messed up. Called in the mistake, went back to the restaurant to get it fixed.. AND OMG it was messed up still. Wife complained and they took our name and said they would comp our entire meal the next time we ordered. Third time.. Ordered (online 10/10/21) a simple pizza and bread. Website said 20 minutes it would be done. Showed up 30 minutes after ordering. Kid behind the counter said there was no order and asked me if I was sure I placed the order at the correct location. He then looks to his right and sees my online order setting at the printer. Kid says woops it hasn't been put in... (mind you the restaurant was very slow). No OMG "I'm so sorry" nothing. Just said "we can put it in now and it would be about 20-30 mind." I told him "this is the third time you guys have messed up an order"... (kid ... blink blink). I just tossed up my hands and walked out.... honestly its not worth the effort. Obviously they could care less... The food here is good. I had the pizza and it was delicious and cooked well. Crispy crust and decent sauce. Crispy pepperoni. All in all was good. What made the experience excellent was our waiter. Very good, checked in is at the right cadence (not too often but not so scarcely that we felt abandoned). Talked with us and took care of everything without missing a single special request or ask. Delicious food!!! It's not authentic traditional Italian, but when you're craving pasta & that type of thing, this place was a pleasant discovery! We stopped by one on our way home from out of town & were happy to discover there's a location in our neighborhood and we will definitely be putting Babbo's into our eating out rotation. We got a variety of things to bring home....Italian Sausage Penne, Parmesan Chicken Pasta, Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms (with sausage & cheeses), Tiramisu and then the meal came with flatbread & bruschetta as well as a dipping oil if you prefer that. Everything was so good & more than enough. We have dinner for another night. The tiramisu was better than most places & the bread served with the meal was very unique & perfectly seasoned, we loved it. The balsamic in the bruschetta was a little strong, but it still tasted good with the bread. For a walk in/take out order, this location had it all put together for us very quickly & had a comfortable spot to wait. read more

Where's the meat? I ordered the Italian sausage sandwich and was very disappointed! It came on a delicious bread with tomatoes, onions, peppers and cheese. The sausage was hard to find! It was sliced into nickel sized slices and only 3 on a half of a sandwich. It could have been called a vegetable sandwich with sausage garnish! You would think a bite of sausage in every bite but nope only in 3 bites! The zucchini chips were good and the bread and oil/balsamic was good as well. Love their bread. They serve it with olive oil and balsomic vinegar. Unfortunately, I prefer with butter and, unbelievably, they don't have plain butter. They do have garlic butter but they charge $.50 for it. The Italian food is as good or better than any other that I have tasted. Love their spaghetti and meatballs. Their calzones are huge and delicious. I did ignore my own advice though. Never order a Cajun meal in an Italian restaurant. You'll be sorry. Stay Italian andvyou can't go wrong. read more

I had been going to try this place for some time and finally took the opportunity to eat there. It was a big disappointment. I got a chalkboard special and my wife got a sandwich with salad. The salads were good but the cooked food was so salty neither of us could eat it. We ate the sides which were descent but the main entrees were like brine. I seldom complain when I get a bad meal but this time I mentioned it to the server and she took off a whopping $6.00. We decided to try Babbo's but we're very disappointed. Note, 25 minute each way drive from our house. TOTALLY messed up our order. Instead of Pepperoni / Sausage Calzone was Mushroom and Pepperoni Calzone (do I really need to open up the Calzone before coming home?). Instead of Pasta Rustico was Creamy Lemon Ricotta. We had to throw away the dinners not wanting to invest another hour to/from. The receipt on order (pick up) was our name, so it was not a mistake of giving us someone's order. To be nice, waited to post review. in reviewing many other complaints describing mis-orders the response from Babbo's was e mail us at "babbophoenix@gmail.com" 5 days later no response, so writing review. If you want a pound tasty bubbly cheese with spots of meat then order the Lasagna. 35 minute wait for it. It was very tasty, good cheese and a dab of sauce. Maybe a bit of pasta. Fancy decor doesn't make up for small portions. Unless you eat the bread, which I admit is delicious, you will leave hungry. I also think the sauce is too heavy on the spices. But that's a personal preference. The service is great. The price is too high for what you get. I'd rather go to Oregano's where the portions are huge and the prices are lower. read more

What a horrible place!!! Never again!! After waiting for over 1 hr. The food arrived after I said I was going to leave bc I had to feed my dog. Then and ONLy then the waiter said it would take 3 minutes. He came back with a cold plate of pasta with huge pieces of Zucchini (still wet and freezing cold) so hard to eat and cut. The pasta was supposed to have artichokes that were not there and spinach that was almost invisible. The sauce had no flavor it was obvious that they just threw a bunch of ingredients on the plate. The waiter was ok. But not very helpful. But the manager!! He was the worst! His excuse was that I had to wait that long because he had a big party to attend outside. I have no idea but he has not the first clue of how to manage a business with his horrible attitude and and lack of people's skills. It was my first time there and I will never go again. He made me feel like my business are not good there. I do not recommend this place because of the horrible food, horrible service and mediocre management. Whitney was a very friendly waitress. I ordered the Argentinian Rosé at $8.50 which was oxidized. It was replaced, however it arrived when I was almost finished my meal, pity. On the bill I was charged $6.00 for the Rosé, so I presume that it was not replaced by the same one. I ordered Manicotti stuffed with Ricotta. I chose Italian Sausage instead of Portabella in the Mixed Pepper Ragu. It was very filling. When I ordered my main course, I noticed that they had a Special on Mondays & Tuesdays so I ordered Spaghetti & Meatballs to go for $6.99. It felt as if they were short staffed tonight in the dining room. First time at Babbo. They have an extensive menu and their bread is to die for. It is served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. My family had pizza and I had the meatball panini. Everything was delicious, but our server Hunter, made the experience exceptional. He went above and beyond, explaining the dishes, keeping on top with service during the meal and proactively brought us to go boxes. My nephew is leaving for college and Hunter is in graduate school for the same type of degree. He shared all kinds of info and insights with him. manager knew of the kids sized meal they served to us in our to go. we pointed the small serving and he stated it was normal. lie! ive ordered that exact meal and it was a full plate. was price gouged for the full dinner price and manager walked away without a replacement, sorry, refund, nothing. bland food too! noodles for $15, anyone can boil water. this is why we choose to not go to restaurants where the food is easy made at home. saying that, the food at a restaurant should be perfect and its by far sub standard. here was a meal they think is ok to serve! 3 meals purchased. im sure im not the only customer who was ripped off!!! read more

Didn't have zero stars or they would have earned that. My wife and  walked in and was seated a few minutes (after the host decided to seat us). Waited at our table and had questions so we waited for our server/waiter/waitress, waited a little longer, decided that they didn't need our money. We won't make them wait for this review though. Won't be going back. As we walked out there was another guy who asked if our waitress ever showed. We said nope. He didnt even try to keep us happy or anything. Just let us keep walking. Great food and service. Bread is incredible. Place can get busy but we order for pick up and it's always ready within 30 minutes or so.

We tried this place today for the first time, and before we left, we already couldn't wait to come back! The two things we're coming back for are the Mozza Balls and the Zeppoli. I'm excited to find other delicious dishes in the future. Another thing that we were really impressed by was our waitress. Had an incredible dinner here, spring mix salad with an amazing sweet vinaigrette (not usually a fan, but this was great!), and short ribs ravioli with mushroom sauce. Wow....sooo delicious! My one critique, and that of several of my dinner companions, is that too much salt almost overwhelmed the flavors in our entrees. Would have been 5 stars for sure with less salt! Their food is great but buyer beware if you do takeout orders. I ordered the Gorgonzola chopped salad which Is supposed to already include grilled chicken. My husband went to pick up the order and didn't think it was necessary to do an inspection of my salad prior to leaving. My salad had NO chicken. The last time we ordered this salad, they left out the walnuts. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
