Babbo is always great for a filling takeout meal and leftovers! They have recently updated their menu, so we were really excited to try something new - we went for the braised short rib ravioli (we love short rib!!). We were actually a little disappointed that it didn't have more flavor since usually short rib meat is super flavorful. Also the portion of ravioli seemed a little small for the price. Otherwise, we had a consistent positive experience as we always do with Babbo and their more ata listed menu items. Will try another new dish soon! read more

Been to this location a few times decent food good prices never to busy. Stopped in early this evening started out great food was yum but the service from our non existent wait staff ( I won't use a name but this young lady never took out order, some one else did this. Then no follow up from anyone, we eat our food waited easily twenty minutes afterwards and still no one checked our drinks no check just lack of customer service had to ask two people to check out. Stopped in about 4:30 PM on a Saturday for a drink. I was promptly greeted and sat at the bar. After a short wait, I was able to order my drink and was brought complimentary house made focaccia bread and oil/balsamic vinegar for dipping. Melanie was a joy. I looked over the menu, so many different options. I wasn't quite hungry enough for a full meal so I skipped ordering anything further (stuck with the peroni on tap, $7.95). There were lots of guests coming and going for either take out or sit down service. The restaurant has a nice feel to it, seems fancy yet casual. There are parking spaces near the front of the establishment as well as off to the side for additional parking, definitely plenty of parking within a short distance of the front door. They have 15 minute parking spaces for take out right in front for convenience. My wife and I ate here last week on the 14th and we split the new crispy chicken melanaise and we were both sick with an hour of eating it. My wife called the manager and he yelled at her and said we couldn't be sick from their food. We most likely had food poisoning and were told by the manager that it couldn't have come from there. I have tried, and tried. And tried yet again to get into Babbo Italian Eatery. My daughter loves the Monday Spaghetti special. Friends frequently suggest dining there. I've had everything from Pasta with Meatballs the Alfredo Supremo to the Meatball Panino, to their Italian Sausage on Penne. You get the point, I've tried a lot of different dishes there. I love pasta, and I definitely love a good Italian Restaurant. So why I always, and I mean always walk away from this place with a tummy ache is beyond me. If it was because I ate too much, I could deal with that. But it's not that. It's just got to be something they are cooking their food in that my body can't adjust to. I don't have any food allergies that I am aware of, but I guess I have a Babbo allergy, cause every time I eat there I want to frickin die shortly thereafter. Last Monday was no exception, so I've finally had to advise my wife and daughter I won't be eating there with them anymore. They do enjoy it, but they'll have to enjoy it without me. This review is about first impressions. My sister and I walked into the restaurant between 445-5. The restaurant was not busy. There was no one waiting in front of us and there were plenty of empty tables. The sign at the host station said "please wait to be seated". So we waited. And waited. And waited. I used to work in restaurants. I was a hostess, a server, and also did to-go's, so I know what to expect, what is acceptable and what is not. There were four male employees that made eye contact with me. All were far enough away that they couldn't speak to us. After waiting a few moments, one server was taking drinks to a table and walked by us and said "we will be with you shortly". We said "okay". He walked back by us over to where the other 3 guys were and then came back by us again and still no one came to greet and seat us. We waited 6 minutes before we left. This is simply unacceptable to have 4 employees see us and not one of them came to seat us or get a manager to help us. I honestly believe had the one guy not walked right passed us he would have never acknowledged us. Do better! Clearly, they didn't want our business and their first impression doesn't matter to them. That's fine I took my business down the road where I was greeted immediately and sat at a table. In the time I stood at Babbo waiting to be sat at a table this other establishment had drinks at my table and our order taken. This place is just OK. I was disappointed in my lasagna. From what I can tell, it's just a scoop of shredded sausage, one layer of pasta, and a pound of cheese melted on top. The cheese is good, but it gets cold too fast and becomes hard to chew. I wouldn't order it again. My sister didn't care for the spaghetti. She said the sauce is very garlicy...but that's about the only spice in there. The meatballs we shared were fantastic. I do love their pizza! And, their service is excellent. We paid $97 for 4 people and none of us enjoyed our meals. The seared salmon had absolutely no flavor. The simple salad was soupy, tasted like someone poured marinara on it, and didn't have any cheese. The alfredo sauce tasted like it was out of a jar rather than cream & fresh Parmesan. My family consistently receives friendly service and good food at this location. There can be a bit of a wait, and the booths near the bar are insanely cold (they need a better hvac setup!), but it's still a good experience. They have an excellent happy hour special of $35 for two pastas or pizzas, two salads, and two glasses of wine. It's a great deal for a couple. My dad LOVES the spaghetti and meatballs here, and they have a special on Tuesdays. Outside of the specials, the menu is kind of pricey, but the food quality is good. I was looking for a nice Italian meal for date night with my wife. Babbo has been bookmarked for a while now. The decor and ambience really didn't speak Italian. Even the Maroon 5 playing in the background wasn't something you would expect at an Italian restaurant. What was authentic was the heavenly aroma that hit you when you walk through the door. The smell of garlic bread and oregano got my mouth watering. After review of the menu I decided on a Sicilian style pizza. It took 25 minutes for it to come out. It was a nice pizza. I called in an order for pickup to include the Chicken Parmesan with extra sauce and Chicken Martini with extra olives. There has never been any additional charges for extra sauce or olives. Upon arriving I was charged $5.50 for a side of sauce. I mentioned I have never been charged for extra sauce. I have been coming to Babbo's for over 2 years and when I order I always get extra sauce and it has been probably over 20 times. Her comment was "we have always charged". When I arrived at home and prepared to eat my girlfriend said that I was overcharged for her Chicken Martini. The website lists it at $18.50 and I was charged $20.75. And, they charge a 2.95% fee on the bottom. Opening my Chicken Parmesan it was very dry. This is why I order extra sauce. The portion was not as usual. read more

I don't know if they have changed their sauce recipe or if they have lost their experienced cooks. The cheese was like rubber and someone went nuts with the salt and garlic. I absolutely live Babbo! I'm from LA and been in Arizona at this location often lately as I'm in town visiting family often. Every single dish I have had has been so delicious ! My son loves their Mac n cheese and their fruit with his . If you're a spaghetti and meatball fan they have specials on Monday and Tuesday for that I absolutely love so many of their dishes that I've tried so far I try to try something new each time I go in there I absolutely love their pink fettuccine I think that's what it's called it is so yummy add some shrimp to it delicious has a great spice to it! They get really busy as right now the snowbirds are in their town so my best bet for you is to go sometime after 6 PM! I totally forgot his name but there is a kid there who serves us each time I've been there that's who we get he is an absolute doll he really should be a manager!! My son wanted Italian food one Saturday night and we decided to come here. It was busy but not crowded and it was nice to be able to get seated quickly. They have a small bar area if you want to just have a drink or are waiting for a table (and not accompanied by a high school student). We were greeted and seated almost immediately and the server took our drink order within a couple of minutes. They have a really interesting menu that offers a lot of flexibility: you can order many dishes without meat, or you can select from a variety of other options like shrimp, chicken and sausage. In addition to many pasta options with all kinds of combinations ("What the kale?" Is one that I considered), they have pizzas, salads and appetizers aplenty. For a couple of bucks, they will even swap the pasta for "zoodles" -- made from zucchini. We placed our order and received some table bread (a pillowy, focaccia-type) with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I tend to like my bread on the crusty side, but this was good and had a good amount of absorption potential for soaking up that pasta sauce. My son and I ordered the same dish (I am pretty sure that has NEVER happened), but he upgraded his with sausage. It was a little steep ($5, I think?) for that upgrade, but he said the sausage was tasty with a nice bit of spice to it. I forget the name of the dish, but it was penne with marinara, ricotta, spinach and some mozzarella. The portion was just right for me and both plates came out hot and fresh. We ordered from a Babbo the first time tonight because we saw the $35 family deal. It included 2 thin crust cheese pizzas, spaghetti and meatball, Alfredo, focaccia, Cesare salad and Zepps. I couldn't find any reviews about it or pictures to get an idea of the portion size. Babbo advertises it feeds 5-6 and I would say that's a stretch for adults. It's definitely could feed 2 adults and 3 kids. I would say it feeds 4 adults. The pasta was tiny portions and we only got one meatball that we cut into 4 tiny pieces so all 4 of us could try it. The food was delicious, we were just a little bummed about the pasta portion because it was hard to really share. The zepps were bite sized so easy to share! If I could give this restaurant zero stars I absolutely would. Tonight I went to Hobby lobby to buy some home decor for our home. I noticed the restaurant (BABBO) near Hobby lobby and I had never tried it out so I said let me try it I love Italian food as I am Italian myself. I called in at 7:16 to place an order. Tim the shift lead answered the phone and said hi thank you for calling Babbo, then said please hold. Since I was near the restaurant I decided to go straight in. Put my order in at 7:22 PM. Got my order maybe 10 minutes later. I got home maybe around 7:45 PM, I was still on the line with the restaurant I had decided to hold just to see what was going to happen considering that no one had gotten back on the line and said thank you for your patience my apologies for the wait how can I help you. Instead at 8 PM the time they close they picked up the phone and hung up. Mind you I had waited for 43 minutes, by that time I had already tried the food which I got the chicken fettuccine. It was absolutely disgusting and very tasteless. It tasted like milk with black pepper for the sauce. So when he hung up the phone. I called back at 8 PM and Tim the shift lead answered. I had let him know my experience and he did not say sorry or anything until after I told him that was bad customer service for him not even apologizing or anything. I observed when I walked in at 7:22 PM he was serving his girlfriend a martini in the bar area. Not just one she had a few. Listen I understand things happen we are human. However, as a customer service manager myself, this type of customer service is absolutely unacceptable. I asked him what day or time his manager will be in and he said he can hang up the phone. I said I apologize but I'm not even being rude or using any type of language, I don't tell or anything. I said sir what are you talking about. He was trying to rush since he was off, and I'm sure his girlfriend that came to eat dinner with him was waiting for him. Neither here nor there the point is horribke customer service and the food was disgusting. Also, when I had got my food I actually expressed my concern to a lady that worked there she had blonde short. Food was good, could use a little improvement on the service. Had to ask for the drinks we ordered... server forgot and checked with us once, besides bringing the bill. Here we go...10/10/21 Third chance and once again totally dropped the ball on a online order. And this was going to be our "manager comp" meal that was promised to us at the last mess up, and when we went to pick it up, the ticket was sitting untouched on the printer, 30 minutes old. I won't go into details as my husband already detailed it in his review but the lack of apathy from the teenage "boy" with the missed ticket and not even asking to have a manager come over and speak with us was probably at this point not unbelievable, but just very very disappointing and disrespectful. Whether the employee cares or not this is our dinner, we are hungry, and we expected after 30 minutes to have a warm meal waiting for us to take home. Guess that was just a little too much to ask.. once again. And the sad part is I still have over $200 on a gift card to use at this place and pretty much scared to see what might happen the fourth time. read more

Service was very very good esp with a party of 11. Very tall black gentleman served us perfectly. The food ok. I had a chalkboard. Loved the concept but. It much flavor. I ordered the Brussel and beets. Umm couldn't find much beets. Tiny little pieces of beets so sad. The biggest pet peeve was there was a 2.95% transaction fee on our sep bills. When asked why, was told for food increase prices...then raise your prices! The worst part after we paid some card and some cash, we rec'd paid bills that some had the transaction fee charge and some didn't no rhyme or reason.
