Always a great place to eat healthier if you can stay away from the baked desert counter which I never avoid LOL. Food 5/5 Always fresh, always consistent every visit! This and a Washington DC location are my only Resturant's I've been to and both gave great WiFi for having a chill meal break to network. Today I was late on my first meal and their large Stake Salad and Broccoli Cheddar Cheese soup bowl sounded like a meal to satisfy. I also ordered two Kitchen sink cookies to go for my morning Starbucks. The Steak protein satisfied my hunger, the crazy good soup was the icing on the cake. I love that Panera is everywhere.. im an avid iced tea drinker and love their monthly plan. The food is always fresh and delish easy to pick up something for lunch or dinner. They are Cerro convenient and the new in place to bring your laptop and work or something! The staff is very friendly and always accommodating. I'm sad that now the cups aren't solf serve anymore by the kiosks but I'm sure people were stealing even drinks and ruined it for everyone else. I placed a order for 2 sandwiches and 2 soups. I designated "ASAP" for delivery time. I received a message that the order could not be dropped off at the designated time (nothing noted a time when I ordered) and stated it would be delivered approximately in 35 minutes. The tracking stated the order was delayed and finally after an hour and 15 minutes the driver showed up with her phone in her face and handed it to me with no apology or explanation as to why it took so long. They used to have very good delivery. I think I'll find another sandwich shop that values their customers and provides good communication from driver to customer. Been going to location for a bit now to take home dinner after work. Food has been good. I used the drive through for the first time yesterday and I wish they would've marked the stickers on what's what. It's a hassle to hand out sandwhiches and we don't know who's is who's at home. Or I have to open and check and pass out the food. It would also be nice to see the sticker marked so I can check my order before leaving. I like Panera bread once in a while. It's definitely not the same place. It was a few years back, but it's still OK. They're a little overpriced, but what isn't. Usually the people who are working are very friendly and if you give them enough time, they'll find the answers to the questions you have about the menu they should know. Sometimes the tables are clean sometimes they're not but again when you have the majority of young teenagers working and not a whole lot of guidance what would you expect. I had the Bacon, Scrambled Egg & Tomato Wrap from Panera. The presentation was fine with the breakfast wrap open on one end in a brown packaging. It was alright. The wrap was a bit stiff. I didn't think it had as much flavor as it could have had. I did break it open to get a better view of the contents. The Bacon, Scrambled Egg & Tomato Wrap from Panera consisted of bacon, scrambled egg, grape tomatoes, lettuce greens, white cheddar, salt, and pepper in a Whole Grain Wrap. I had the mustard horseradish sauce on the side. I think I will try one of their other breakfast options the next time I have to pick something to eat from Panera. Though not the eggs. They had a musty smell like they were sitting in water or a closed container for a while. The yogurt tasted fine. Their breakfast fruit bowl is also good. read more

I love Panera bread but this location is just disappointing and disrespectful, the employee taking my order walks away mid conversation and I work in the service industry. To keep mindful of yourself and others. I walked up not demanding but just said my order and she walked away, no saying "I will be right back, I have an order that I need to check on" or whatever no apology necessary but isn't that what customers do? In this horrendous economy when you order a large bowl of soup, you expect to get a large bowl soup. Especially when it's almost $9.00!!. Unfortunately the photo doesn't match what you really get. NOT EVEN CLOSE.!! It barely filled a CUP of soup. So if it cost them $.50 and they're charging us nine $9.00 we should at least get a little bang for our buck. Went there to pickup lunch thru the drive-thru. Ordered a sandwich without an ingredient but they couldn't because the sandwiches are "pre-made". Then asked for a different sandwich without mustard. They said they don't carry mustard, just the little packages. This is a specialty sandwich shop! Then ordered tomato soup with saltine crackers. They don't carry saltine crackers! Just chips or bread. Then we paid and checked our order. No tomato soup. Had to run another transaction to pay for the soup with no crackers. Had ordered a bowl of the soup and was charged for it. Only got a 3/4 cup of it. A piece of bread they included was so hard it made my mouth bleed trying to eat it. Never again. Going to Kneaders or Zupa's from now on. I haven't been to a Panera since I left Los Angeles 8 years ago so coming into one was really exciting for me. I had a terrible case of the flu so I was really looking for some homemade style soup and I remembered Panera had the best cure for the cold soup. I ordered broccoli and cheese soup with my ham and Gouda cheese sandwich. The soup was absolutely fantastic nice cooked bite size pieces of broccoli and the cheese base was super flavorful. My ham and cheese sandwich had nice ham to cheese ratio however where I was seriously disappointed was the spread that was put on the yummy bread it really killed the sandwich so terrible that next time I'll just ask for my sandwich dry. My boyfriend loved his avocado sandwich on white bread Panera has always had the best bread and soup so I'm not going to let terrible spread discourage me from coming back I know they have great salads so there's lots of other options. The customer service at this location is ok the poor kids however seem robotic working here so hopefully they're not overworked either way I'll try Panera again maybe just a different location here in PHX. read more

Panera used to be one of my favs but.............I ordered a box of coffee because I was moving and got no cups, cream, sugar or stirrers. When I ordered direct they gave me new coffee and all that goes with it free my next order. This time I ordered through Door Das and they only gave me a $5 credit and hen I called the store the manager didn't offer anything but I'm sorry. This is a very spacious Panera Bread with lots of seating and there's even a secluded little room in the back if you want to study, or if you are a large party you could put some tables together and meet here for your group. There's a plethora of self service kiosks in addition to the standard cashier counter. I opted for a pick two, with the chipotle chicken sandwich and the soup of the day, a cream of chicken with wild rice. It only took a few minutes to make. The sandwich was tasty, with a decent amount of sliced chicken, avocado, with just the right amount of sauce. The bread was lightly crisp and went well with the inner ingredients. The soup looked a bit congealed but had good flavor and had a lot of white rice and wild rice with a few pieces of chicken. I also indulged in some of their mini desserts, a selection of brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and macaroons. Out of all the sweets I enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies the most due to the inclusion of oats in the cookie which added some extra texture. The brownies were soft and fudgey and the macroons were delightful with a soft shredded coconut interior. The drink station has a wide variety of drinks, with Pepsi products, and if you're a diet Dr. Pepper fan they have this at the soda fountain for you to fill up on. As for iced teas, they got you covered in terms of variety, caffeine and sweetness level. I enjoyed the passion fruit papaya green tea and the plum lime hibiscus tea. The only negative about the soda fountain is that the diet Dr. Pepper spout was leaking and would drip ice cold water onto your hand while filling up. This location is dragging the Company name in the dirt and making people sick! Over the last 8 months I have come back to this location 5 times because I have the Sip Club annual subscription and this is in my area. ALL 5 Time I was made SICK by the dirty drink machine. The water in every drink tastes like that stinky sour smell that is outside restaurants sometimes when the grease trap is full. I have told the staff about the nasty taste and they tell me "I drink it everyday and don't notice anything wrong". The bad taste aside I have a severe Mold allergy and even a small sip of any drink made from that stinky water leaves be in major gastrointestinal Pain for hours and MORE that I won't describe! I have recently reported the issue to corporate and filed a complaint for investigation to the department of health. If they are makes you sick don't let them get away with it! Report it! read more

Soups are shipped In bags, so it's not made in the store, but the Summer Corn soup was a lightly creamy experience full of corn and other veggies. I just went through the drive-thru and ordered a bowl of broccoli cheddar and a half of a grilled cheese. The soup is as thin as thin can be!! There is absolutely zero consistency to the soup. Usually it's nice and creamy and full of broccoli today It's nothing like that. There's a few little tiny pieces of broccoli and a liquid soup. Had lunch here today with a friend at around 11:30 AM. There were about a dozen customers seated inside. The restaurant is very clean, table tops are all wiped off. There is no customer service except the cashier asking you what you want. Before I had lunch, I looked online at the menu. Decided to get the Caesar Salad with Chicken ($11.29). My friend bought the Strawberry Poppyseed Salad with Chicken ($12.39). The pictures of the salads looked great, with lots of products, and the bowls looked large and full. What I got was a small portion of thinly sliced chicken (it was very tender) and the main reason this is only 2 Stars, a three-fourths full, medium size bowl of lettuce with a light coating of caesar dressing, and some store-bought croutons. Not a large bowl, and no parmesan cheese. The dressing was very delicious as I had a small side to dip the chicken in. So, $12 (tax) for a medium size caesar salad. It didn't look anything like the pictures. Also, we had to go up to the counter and carry back our meals. An employee walked by a few times but never picked up my obvious finished dirty dishes. I believe I was supposed to carry my own dishes to the trash receptacle and organize them there (saw a couple of customers doing this). I think the employees are only supposed to clean off tables that the customers have vacated. Not, the best policy in my opinion. IF that is how it works. So, a $12 medium just okay tasting salad, I have to go pick up my meal, then I have to clear my own table. NO thank you. I won't be going back. Thank you for your time. read more

Ask for extra teriyaki if you do choose to get this, unfortunately there was little to no chicken and the few pieces are completely dry. I've had two great experiences in the past two weeks with Panera Bread on Signal Butte in Mesa AZ. I needed to pick up 50 chocolate chip cookies - fully wrapped, for the staff of my charity. I was lucky enough to deal with Marsha Halcomb, the Catering Coordinator, who made this easy. I take in cookies two or three times a year and am usually told they can't fully wrap them or I'll be charged extra. Today I was ordering cookies for my club's gate house staff and asked for Marsha. They were out of bread bowls so they substitute those with extra bread. Well, we were charged almost 20 dollars for 2 soups, the extra bread was not given and the 2 pieces we ended up getting are stale. No wonder it's the worst rated location in the area. This location is absolutely horrid, the service was horrible, everyone has an attitude, I ordered a tomato soup and I found hair in my soup, when I brought it to the lady's attention she simply rolled her eyes and said that's not mine. This is the nicest Panera I've ever been to. I'm a School Bus Driver and I love to camp out at Paneras during field trips. They're a great place to work and study while eating nutritious food. This one tops any Panera I've ever been to! From what I can see, they have outlets at or close to every table. Large partitions cut down on the noise, and they even have sound absorbers hanging from the ceiling! Lots of attention to detail went in to this location. read more

What is going on with this store?! We ordered a pastry ring to go and when i opened the bag it was on its side! Sitting straight up and down. Who does that?! How am I supposed to bring this ANYWHERE to serve ANYONE?! How embarrassing for me. $10! And then paid for an extra side of baguette for my bowl of soup. I did not order the bread bowl because they give less soup to go for whatever reason it barely fills the bowl, so I ordered two breads and still only received one.
