The rest of us had salad, handheld sandwich and a burger, all of which were just as delicious! Living on Babcock Ranch I frequent often, but this is one of the few times I've been there since the new menu and very pleased with it. The chef is amazing and cares about the patrons, that they are pleased with their meal, and walks about the restaurant.

An unforgettable Opolo Wine Pairing Dinner experience at Lakehouse Restaurant!…read more We were beyond excited to be invited, and for a moment we truly forgot we were in Babcock Ranch -- every course and pairing delivered a world-class dining experience. Amuse: The Broccolini Velouté paired with Chandon Brut was light, silky, and the perfect elegant opener. First Course: The Blue Crab Salad with mango, avocado, jalapeño, and key lime paired with Summit Creek Sauvignon Blanc was bright, fresh, and beautifully balanced. Second Course: The Lobster Doppio with Yukon gold potato, asparagus, and butter-carrot emulsion paired with Summit Creek Zinfandel was rich, buttery, and absolutely indulgent. Third Course: The Duck Confit with celeriac and red wine gastrique paired with Summit Creek Cabernet Sauvignon was bold, savory, and deeply flavorful. Intermezzo: The Lemon Martini Sorbetini was refreshing, citrusy, and perfectly cleansing between courses. Entrée: The Filet Mignon with wild mushrooms and demi-glace paired with Opolo Petite Syrah was tender, luxurious, and perfectly matched with the wine's depth. Dessert: The Cocoa Choux Puff with chocolate crémeux, salted caramel, and vanilla paired with After Dark Old Fashioned was decadent, smooth, and the ultimate finale. Huge shoutout to Chef John, the Sous Chef, and the entire Lakehouse team for pulling off such an extraordinary culinary experience -- the execution, hospitality, and attention to detail were flawless. We cannot wait to be back for the next unforgettable dining event at Lakehouse Restaurant! The Lakehouse Kitchen & Bar at Babcock Ranch

A MUST when I'm in Punta Gorda!…read more My friend moved to Punta Gorda a couple of years ago. I've visited her 3 times, and we make sure to come here every time I'm in town. The bar/restaurant is located right on the water with great views! The parking lot is also the same lot used by the adjacent hotel, so it can sometimes be hard to find a park, depending on the day and time. It's a mixture of great outdoor spaces as well as covered spaces. There's also a private event space that's really nice as well. I've been at night as well as during the day and have enjoyed every experience. The staff is friendly and great! I even fell, I mean face-planted, one evening, and the staff made sure to check on me and see if I needed medical attention. The menu is pretty straightforward, and the bar is your basic bar. They have a drink menu, but a full bar as well. Everything is also well-priced. I haven't ordered food, so I can't give a review of the food. I will definitely be back on my next visit to PG!

Last time I ate there I paid $25 for "VIP" seating in front of the stage. I got there at 6:30, an…read morehour before the show started and the two waitresses blew me off completely. I had to go to the bar to order food and drinks. Well ... I made the mistake of waiting a half hour before going to the bar and instead of being completely dead with no wait the kitchen was slammed by the time they got my order. I didn't get my food until I complained to the manager 2 hours later and the burger was a hockey puck because it had been sitting under the heat lamp for WAY too long plus it had more salt than ketchup on it. The manager tried making excuses until I told him, "If your waitresses would gave done their jobs two hours ago we wouldn't be having this conversation." I have gone back since then, but I stopped buying the VIP tickets and I stopped eating food there. I just enjoy the music and buy a drink or two. They've easily lost $500 from me because the manager didn't say, "I'm sorry" and make sure that I got a hot, fresh meal that was cooked correctly that night. The location is beautiful. The management is second rate at best.

I have a buyer closing in Babcock so today we were doing the walk thru. When we were done I wanted…read moreto see what Babcock had for food. I drove around looking for something that wasn't a chain and found this place tucked in the corner of a plaza. I immediately got a great vibe walking to the door with the music on in the patio and the fun outside decor. I walked in and was greeted by Andrea (I walked in at 1045, they don't open till 11, oops). She was the sweetest and chatted with me for a little bit and told me about the restaurant. It's owned by her, her husband and his parents. And the other staff is family ad well. They have been open for 4yrs. Started as a food truck on Food Truck Fridays at Founders Square and emerged into this great looking space. Their hours are 11a-9p, but since today is first day of world cup they are going to be playing all the games while open and even stay open later to watch the 9pm games. I was told by Andrea and the waitress that the "Cheesy Birria Tacos" was the top seller so I gave it a try. And I got a passion fruit smoothie as my drink. The smoothie was delicious! (BRAIN FREEEEEZE! LOL) They serve chips and homemade salsa while you wait for your meal. The salsa had a great taste to it. It is a tad lil spicy, so know that if you don't like spice. Andrea let me sit while they were still opening up and once 11 hit the customers started rolling in. I really enjoyed the meal. The meat was so tender, so when I bit into it I bit right theough... I wasn't pulling all the meat out of the taco on the first bite. Perfect. The rice n beans were ehhh... I'm not a fan of R&B, and i knew that. I should have asked what other options there were . I did end up asking for future reference and she said they have plantains and fries. Ill have to remember that for next time! Since I just stopping for a quick bite and to check the place out. I packed half my meal up for later. When I'm in the area again I'll come back and try other items that were recommended. All said and done, I really enjoyed the place. Ill put it on my list to come back with some friends that I know havent been out this way so they can experience it too!

Warm hand made chips, ah yeah! The food was fantastic. There was nothing wrong with our meals at all. The service was nice. Not overwhelming but I did have that cliche moment where 3 things happened. I ordered a drink that they ran out of, I ordered a dish that hey didn't have and the guy came and asked how everything was when I had food in my mouth. Ambiance: solid 3.5 out of 5. Crying baby and loud TVs but overall, not too bad.

Delicious topping & sauce. Highly recommend. They come 2 per order and they split them on plates for us since we just wanted a snack (only went in for a drink). The onion rings were also way above average, crunchy and delicious! Austin the bartender is really sweet and keeps the customers happy. Enjoyed sitting at the bar so he could serve us again. Don't recommend going on a holiday weekend though. What were we thinking? Well the beach had no parking and the streets were very busy. Glad we found a place to park at the pink elephant. We just wanted a little beach outing for vow-renewal "anniversary." Wink. Probably going again soon on our engagement anniversary!

I finally had to get up and go find our waitress inside at the end to get our check to leave. Would have loved to have a good experience. May try one more time.
