I had a big trouble with my order. I rented a stroller for 10 days in NYC and when we arrived at the hotel, there were no stroller. I asked for an "one day early delivery", but, by the time we checked in, about 10pm, had not been delivered. The next day, I started contact the company, and I was told that I would receive the stroller during the day. But it never happened. After that, they started saying that the hotel had delivered to another guest, and I started questioning the hotel, but they keep telling me that there was no stroller, and so I spent hours of the day contacting the company and the hotel. It was very stressful. I finally gave up on the rent and now I'm asking for my money back. Now I received a call that the hotel actually gave my stroller to another guest, however I asked several times for the Babies Getaway company to contact the hotel, which happened only now. Until now, the status of my order is: completed: "The status of order #6340 is now Completed" I am completely disappointed, I missed walking time in NY, I stressed and I am still trying to get my money back. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. We had a horrible experience with Babies Getaway. We rented a crib, a bathtub, a high chair, beach chairs and a beach umbrella for a week while on vacation in New Jersey. The crib, bathtub and high chair arrived in terrible condition - missing and broken pieces, and everything was absolutely filthy. The mattress was covered in duct tape to keep it together and was horribly stained. The mattress sheet didn't fit the mattress. Everything had to be thoroughly disinfected and the crib was not safe for a child - half the parts were ill fitting replacement parts. The man who delivered them drove a sewage repair truck... that's what they delivered my child's rental gear out of. Very unprofessional company. The beach chairs and umbrella simply never showed up, making trips to the beach (the sole reason we were there) very difficult with an infant. I called customer service and they were unapologetic and unhelpful. Awful company, and I plan to report them to the BBB. Do yourself a favor and don't rent from these creeps!!! Edited to add: there was never a note left from the delivery person that a signature was required - in fact, there was no evidence whatsoever that a delivery attempt was made. People were always at the house and we never saw another delivery truck. Furthermore, why would you require a signature?? Five stars! I can't thank them enough for coming through when some other companies wont. I called 2 other companies local to the area and they told me they were completely booked up. I needed 14 wood high chairs for a wedding event for my sisters wedding. It was last minute, granted but I thought the other companies would have these sought of items on hand. After nearly an hour going back and forth placing my order with other companies, having them refund the order I got in touch with this company. It was friday and we needed the chairs on sunday. I was placed on hold for 2 minutes and she came back and said she will be able to do it. I paid $140 to have them delivered, picked up, and with taxes. The chairs arrived, my only caveat was the fact that 1 chair out of the 14 was natural while the others where mahogany. Grayson, You are wrong - I have received no credit, which is why I disputed the charge. I just checked again, and no credit from Babies Getaway. I was not given any information on how the item would be sent, it was my understanding you had it in town and it would be delivered - you even asked for money to tip the delivery person. I was told there would be no problem changing the delivery address. I was told I could NOT leave the pickup address as originally stated, that it had to be changed also. I was never given a tracking number for shipping (even though I asked the morning I was informed the shipment was delayed), and the story always seemed to change on what and how I'd get car seats. Unfortunately the only communication I ever received on these car seats, came 3 hours before they were to be delivered. Seems you should have been checking on them sooner - not waiting until they were needed. The $50 was offered when they were going to switch brands of car seats, after I requested it, since the car seats I ordered were more expensive - $83 more to be exact. When they couldn't get the substitute ones, they called me back and wanted someone to go to Walmart. I asked if I'd still receive the credit, and they said "No, because they will be new", even though you planned to keep the car seats and they were a much cheaper brand. I do find it concerning that you were able to call me on my first visit to your website - not sure how you ever got my number??? Regardless - I would never use your company, and I've told everyone I know about my stressful experience. I placed my order 10 days in advanced and was charged and received my confirmation. On the day the two car seats I ordered were scheduled to deliver no one came to my home during the delivery window. Since there is no number available I "scheduled a call" via the website for the first time available. UPS called and said they attempted delivery and no one was home ( I have a newborn, ring alert on my doorbell, a dog and never left the house that day so I know they did not). Babies Getaway never called. I emailed and got a response that the office was closed for renovations and UPS would be contacting me. This was Friday, it's now Tuesday (the day I was scheduled to return these) and Babies Getaway has ignored several emails and I haven't seen or heard from UPS. My family trip was screwed up and we had to pay car services and alter our plans thanks to this. Do not trust this company, they never supplied tracking numbers after asking numerous times and aside from the office close email they have not responded to anything. Spoke with Grayson on the phone to make sure everything was in check for my cousin's rental. Just had a newborn (his first!) and couldn't be more careful with the research. Let me start off by saying how happy I am that I found this company. I need some items delivered because I was coming with my daughter to the states. I was a bit terrified at first because I had no idea what I would need, and what I would not need. I decided to give them a call and let them know about my up coming trip. I had an idea that I needed a crib, stroller, a bottle warmer and a pack and play but did not know exactly what brands to get. I called them up a couple times and they were very friendly in helping me out. I initially wanted to place my order over the phone but thought I would check the brands out myself before making the rental. After a couple days doing my own research, I decided to book online. It was very easy and I did it from my ipad. I paid online, received my email confirmation and we were set. On day of delivery a nice guy arrived setup our items, and I tipped him. He was thankful. The crib and mattress we ordered were in great condition and it was very easy to place the order. The order was dropped off a day early and picked up 6 DAYS LATE. I was not charged for either but it was a pretty big inconvenience. I also was staying at a family member's house but if it were a rental house then it would have been an issue. When I tried to raise this with Kendall, the woman that called me confirm pick up she did not address my concern. Something about a truck mix up...She plainly kept talking. While I would recommend given the ease of ordering and good quality product, this company seriously needs to work on the service aspect. read more

If there are any issues email or text this number and I will get right on it" - 6:30 I text the number, no response - 7:30 followed up via text - 8:30 email sent, I get an automated response, saying they will respond within 24 hours (no further response) - 8:51 I am rushing around bed bath and beyond wearing a baby, sweating as I go up and down 3 floors to find a pack and play before they close at 9 - 11am on Monday received a text saying: "I alerted my manager immediately. We will get back to you shortly" - My response "you do realize this response is too late by about 3 days...please issue a refund" - Their response: "We don't work on the weekends. I do apologize for the inconvenience. I will cancel the order and you should see a refund within 3-5 business days" - My next response was a bit long and snarky (still polite), but I will spare you the details - Their response: "I just refunded the order now. It should reflect on your account within 3-5 business days. I tried to rent baby gear in October - tried two different combinations of items and none were available. When I was told the first items I wanted weren't available I replied and gave a list of 5 other items that would work. The person who processed that message was nice but wasn't able to see what was available. Instead she put in another order with my first alternate option which was not available and cancelled - doesn't make sense that the company can't tell you whats available! I realized after my order was cancelled I had been charged $71.02 for the original order even though it was never confirmed!! I contacted the company to get a refund and was only refunded $55.99 which was the cost of the second order I tried. I have now emailed twice and called five times to get the rest of the refund! I was told after the third time I called that the rest had been refunded and it was going show up in my account a few days later - it has been 3 weeks and nothing! I call and am told there are delivery issues and it will be there by the end of the day. The items don't arrive - leaving my newborn with nothing to sleep in. I call the next day and they tell me they will call back with a status. Three hours later, no call back. I finally call and tell them I want my money back, which they agree to (though I'm curious how they can cancel an order that is supposedly already en route). My husband and I were traveling for the first time with our 4.5 month old baby and wanted to utilize Babies Getaway services.. won't be making that mistake again. We rented a pack n play, bathtub, jumper and chair so we didn't have to worry about traveling with all the baby items. Items were supposed to be delivered, 3:00-6:00, however, when we arrived at our rental at 7:00 nothing had been delivered and we received no communication on a delayed delivery. We called numerous time, sent texts but much to our surprise, they close at 5? The automated message says to text outside of business hours but they don't answer until the next morning so it's pointless. We ended up having to drive 45 mins to the closest Target to purchase a pack n play for our baby to sleep in. Super frustrating after a long day of travel! The next morning I get a text saying that a manager will call me by 11. 11:00 rolls around and still hadn't heard anything so I text the number again asking when I should hear something? Miranda calls and informs us that UPS accidentally picked up our items the day before but they should be delivered and that they won't charge us for the day before, obviously. I let them know that we no longer need a pack n play since we had to go out and buy one the day before and I wanted a call from a manager on the delivery information and what to do if it's not delivered by 5, since that's when they close and they don't respond to texts. Hours go by and I call back twice asking when I should hear from someone - she mentioned that she emailed the manager but there's no way she can put me in contact with him. The third time I called, she refunded us our entire order. Luckily, our order ended up arriving that day and the items were in great condition. I thought all was well....... Day items should have been picked up - we received an email saying that pick up was going to be a bit later as the delivery person was running behind. We sat the items out on the porch, as requested, as we were leaving the rental that day.... We get a call yesterday from the owner of the home saying that the items haven't been picked up yet?!!!! HA, This is 5 days after they were supposed to be picked up! My wife and I were leaving the country and I urged them to call before we left. They did not. Then I communicated via email that I had no phone access and that I could only communicate via email while gone. Still no response. Upon returning to the states, I have called at least a dozen times and nobody has ever answered the phone. And multiple messages have been left with no return call or email. Awesome service! A must for traveling parents! I recently traveled across the country and didn't want to lug my big toddler car seat so I had googled for rental services and found Babies Getaway and they have been amazing! The prices are extremely reasonable and the car seat was delivered right to my destination and will be picked up too! That makes it so easy for me because as a traveling parent there's enough you have to juggle so one less thing to worry about is perfect. And the seat was clean and in great condition. And then I even had to change my departure address and not only were they accommodating for that but they've been extremely responsive every time I've contacted them with questions or needing to change my information. Just placed an order for a convertible toddler bed and potty for an upcoming Thanksgiving trip. Rates are very reasonable compared to the only other place I could find with a convertible bed (in NYC with a $70 delivery charge!) and the selection online was great. I used the Live Chat feature to ask questions and it worked perfectly -- prompt response with great information provided. First time I rented a crib and tub, crib was in just good condition, it was very beaten up and tub was not what was requested. They didn't pick up the items when scheduled which caused conflict with our host. Tried yet again to rent a double stroller the following year. I was told the stroller requested was unavailable and they sent me another completely different to my needs even thought I never agreed to have it delivered. It was very used and even had hotel tags from previous users. And no Grayson I did not select yes send similar stroller, I in fact have email proof requesting to be informed what stroller would be sent before it's sent. UPDATE 07/26/19: Within minutes of posting this review (on a Saturday), I received a phone call from Babies Getaway telling me that my refund was issued by them on 07/17. They gave a reference number and an amount that was different than the amount we paid. They were insistent that the refund was paid. Shortly after that I received an email saying my order status had been changed to "refunded". I checked with our bank on the Monday and the correct amount we paid had just arrived that day. So basically, they lied or were confused about the refund having already been sent and actually sent it after this review and our phone conversation. We have still not received the check with compensation as promised, but at least the refund has arrived. The lady I spoke to was very apologetic and said the company is making changes to stop this from happening to others. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We recently ordered a number of baby products for the week of 4th July including a pack n play for our 2yr old to sleep in to a vacation house on the other side of the country. Our items were supposed to arrive before 12pm on a Saturday. My parents-in-law followed up with them upon no arrival and were told to wait until the end of the day. Our flight arrived around 5pm and there was a message on my phone and email from about 10 minutes prior saying that Fedex had a delivery issue (what did I pay the delivery tip for. I thought this would be a local person delivering???) They said there had been a hazardous item on the truck with our items and something had spilled. It was very vague and no Fedex tracking number or contact info was given. I tried to message, call back, email many many times and there was no response at all. My mother-in-law raced over to Walmart to pick up any pack n play she could find. We used that one, even tough it was too small for our daughter. She was not comfortable and easily worked out how to climb out of it. We didn't get much sleep over our week vacation. We did not hear from Babies Getaway until Monday morning giving me the same story about Fedex. No tracking number and no telling me when the items would arrive. I told the lady that we had already had to purchase a pack n play as we had already been on vacation for 2 nights and we did not want/need the items any more. She offered to give a full refund (to be in our account within 5 days) and also a voucher for future use of this company. We refused the voucher (because NEVER using them again!) and they said they would send a check for compensation to our house for our trouble. They are unbelievably unprofessional. While getting the order confirmed, they were responsive to make sure they get there money. They charged me before hand. On the day of delivery, they never showed up. We made multiple calls to their customer service, sent emails and there was not a single response. Eventually, we had to dispute the charges on my credit card and that's when they bothered to respond, after more than 24 hrs later. They said that the third party delivery company had said they need $700 to delivery where we live. In the meantime, we reached out to another company who were accommodating and we're able to provide us with the car seats the very same day with no issues. Do not rent from this company! I just returned home from a vacation to south Jersey and I used Babies Getaway to rent a full sized crib, changing table, toys and diaper pail. All items were scheduled to arrive on 11/20 between 11am-1pm. I paid in full via their website weeks prior to my trip and even called to confirm my order (which they confirmed weeks before my trip). The day I landed at the airport in Philadelphia, I received an email that my order was cancelled. I immediately called them and they said the inventory was out of stock so they had to cancel my order. The day the baby gear was supposed to arrive was the day they cancelled the order. My heart sunk and I asked what they could do. They recommended trying a different baby rental company. I was in tears. I have traveled with my baby often and used many different baby gear rental companies and never had an issue. My husband called the company and asked that the owner call him back. The owner never called/left a message. Hours after I spoke with Babies Getaway, I received another email that said "HI, Please be advised that your order has been cancelled and refunded because of an ongoing technical issue with our system. My wife and I placed our order three weeks in advance with Babies Getaway to rent a convertible car seat for our 14-month old girl. Since we were flying cross country on an overnight red-eye flight, we had arranged well in advance for the car seat to be delivered to my parents on the afternoon before our arrival, so that my parents could pick us up at the airport the following morning. Sadly, it was not delivered until 2-3 hours after our plane touched down. When we later contacted Babies Getaway about the matter, they deflected responsibility, saying that their delivery service was to blame, as if they and their delivery service, who they hire, were somehow two separate entities that operate independently of one another. This company was great for the crib rental I needed when family was visiting! They gave an option of dropping it off on my front porch so I didn't have to wait around for their driver. And they did the same when they were picking up. They ended up being a day late to pick up because the driver was delayed, but it didn't matter to me at all because the crib was waiting for them outside and their delay didn't affect my schedule. The crib and mattress were in excellent condition, and there was no assembly. I literally just pulled the sides and it all clicked into place! Finally, the price was fantastic. BEWARE - BEWARE - BEWARE Just like everyone else has said on here, I've had a horrible experience with this company and I'm still trying to get it straightened out. I ordered two car seats for my vacation. They charged my credit card right away. Fine. Then two weeks later they charged me again for $500. I called them and they said something about "if there is any kind of discrepancy in the billing information, we charge $500 to make sure the credit is ok. it should come off in 3-5 days". I don't even understand what that means and why it is legal for them just to charge something that I didn't authorize. By the time I saw the charge and called, it had already been over a week since the transaction date and the charge was still on my card. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited another week. Still there. I called several more times. Each time they said yes we will take care of it but nothing ever happened. After another week I called my credit card company to dispute. After all the headache, I finally looked on Yelp and saw all the bad reviews. ARGHHH! So I cancelled the reservations all together. I didn't want to be left stranded during my vacation without the car seats like I read in so many reviews. No surprise - have not seen any refund after I cancelled my order either. So right now I'm over $600 in the hole with this company. Honestly I don't even know if it's a real company. I placed an order for a crib during a holiday weekend. When it was delivered, it was the completely wrong item. No one bothered to tell me this, they changed the price that was deducted from my account. When I tied calling I was on hold for 45 minutes with no answer. The only way to communicate with these people is through email. When I finally got someone to respond, they told me the person who used the crib before me didn't return on time, and they took it upon themselves to send whatever they thought. They left us stranded at the last minute, didn't care to call, and we had to go spend money on buying a crib. After emailing they called and told me the delivery company doesn't have employees who speak English. Not my problem. I would never use this garbage company again!! read more
