Terrible way to do business. Crib was ordered a week in advance. The day before delivery, my card was charged. One hour before the scheduled delivery, my order was cancelled!!! No notice, no explanation, and NO REFUND! I had to call the company (which is no small feat to get someone on the phone. That alone took over an hour), to separately request that they refund the charge. The customer service person was very helpful, but I cannot rely on any order that can be cancelled up to the time of delivery. I will not be using this company again. read more

I need to write a review for this company since I had a terrible experience thus far. 1st of all the company is operating a support/chat model and have no way of getting through a live person to chat. When you do call the phone # - they tell you they are not open and have reached them during non business hours at 11:44am! I have had to write several "tickets" to open for questions I had regarding this delivery I placed on Sept. 6th and it's now Sept. 11 and haven't gotten the items. I am only here for travel tip Thur Sept. 14th and could have used the items when I really needed it. I'm still trying to get them since I will need them for the next 2 days but Jesus trying to get through to work with someone about this order is like playing the lotto you have better luck just spending your money else where. Babies Getaway cancelled my order without notice. I ordered a crib and stroller for rental in NYC. I signed the paperwork and paid online over 3 weeks ahead of time. I received an email confirmation of my order and a status update stating my order was "Awaiting Delivery." I checked my order status online 2 days before my trip. There was no change, so I was expecting my items on the Saturday I requested. When the delivery window passed, I emailed customer service (no phone support on weekends). Later that afternoon, I received an unapologetic response saying that my order had been cancelled because the items were unavailable. They processed a refund AFTER my email, so they had no idea that they had lost my order until I notified them. It seems like they lost track of my order and failed to follow through. Then discovered their mistake after it was too late. They gave no apology and made no attempt at repairing the situation. Avoid this company. SCAM!!! BEWARE!!! This company has recently changed their name from baby's vacation (and a couple other previous names). See my review below for their previous name (baby's vacation), they are taking advantage of people! Stay away! Scam alert!!!! How is this company still in business?!?!?!? I reserved 2 car seats for our twins. I was assured they would be delivered by 3pm on the day we arrived. I did this a month before our trip and paid in full through PayPal the day they were reserved. Well, the car seats never showed up. The delivery window came and went, and when I reached out (via email only because they do not accept calls on weekends), I was told my credit card was declined and they changed the order to cancelled. I received one call saying that they would return and they never did. On the website it will indicate that they plan on making a new delivery but they never showed up. I was so nervous to travel with my toddler to NYC. There was SO much to pack! Thankfully I did not have to bring our gigantic stroller. I found Babies Getaway online, reserved a lightweight stroller to tour around NYC, the booking was easy, drop-off and pick-up were seamless. I loved the stroller. The company took four days after I placed my order before canceling it not even two days before needing the items -- just a crib and a car seat. They claim that their cribs have been recalled by the manufacturer for "foundational" problems. Don't know what that means, but wasn't that known right away when I made the order? Put me in quite a pickle. Had to go to Walmart last minute to purchase the items I needed for my grandson's visit. I used this company a month ago and wish I could give all positive, BUT pick up was not smooth. The communication between office, delivery man and me was nonexistent. They did not come when expected, had hassle of bringing back and forth from lobby a few times. All it took was a phone call to me from driver. The crib and sheet were excellent, though. ZERO STARS. Unfortunately that is not an option. Not only has this company failed to deliver my order (My sister and her infant son are visiting and I have no bedding for him), but they have 1) lied about attempted delivery (I was at my house the bell was not rung, no one knocked, nor did they call me) 2) they have been unresponsive to my calls "we are either outside of operating hours, doing maintenance on our systems" or truthfully they really just don't care about their customers, and 3) they have not proposed a viable solution. I have called at least 10 times, filed at least 5 tickets and have only been told "well someone tried to deliver it" PS I live within 1 mile of their storefront and have offered to come to them to pickup my order in person. No response. Their website says that they are closed currently and always. I'm not sure that they are actually a real business or just a fraud to collect credit card information from trusting people. Rented a crib with them, it was very easy to place my order however it wasn't delivered or picked up during designated times. Crib came 2 days early, I wasn't charged or anything, but I found it very strange that they didn't check with me if it was ok to have it early. The crib was fine, definitely well worn, but for $8 a day it was fine. The sheet did not fit correctly on the mattress and there was a lot of loose fabric. All of this was fine but I was really annoyed when they didn't pick up the crib when they were supposed to. There was no communication. I tried calling during business hours but they said they were closed for maintenance. So I emailed that my crib was not picked up. Later that day with NO notice a weird guy just came to my apartment saying he was here to pick up my crib. It was 8:45 on a Saturday night and really creeped me out. read more

Where do I begin. We rented a car seat and it was to come a day before (February 3rd) then the actual date we originally chose (Feb 4th). The car seat came late at night (around 9pm). We assumed it would come at least around the same time as the original date and time (8am-12pm). That was fine. Everything went down hill from when it needed to be returned. I had to basically harass this company through all avenues to get them to pick up this car seat. It was suppose to be picked up from my house on February 5th. After a few days I started emailing the company without a response. I finally called and was told (I'll call you back with an update) and never heard back from them. Their costumer service is horrible and their hours (11am-5pm) are even worse. Then I had some guy contact me and it ended up being the wrong company. More time passed and we finally get a guy that calls and tried to work out a time to pick up the car seat. No show! Then he randomly calls on a Saturday to say that he's on the way to our house, coming on the train. He eventually picks up the car seat on March 2nd. An entire month later. If I was anybody else I would've just kept the car seat but we really don't have any use or space for it. read more

Despite multiple phone calls with the company, them telling me that although it would not arrive during the delivery window they promised (8am-12pm), they assured me it would be there before 7pm...no stroller. I ordered a carseat in preparation for a visit from my 2 year old grandson. I had previous experience with a baby gear rental service through another company, in another state and it worked out perfectly. With that in mind, I found Babies Getaway through an internet search. They helped me select the carseat that I ordered. The day that the carseat was due to arrive, I called the company to confirm the delivery and the time. They gave me a 3 hour window. The carseat never arrived. I called the next morning and left a voicemail as the phone was not answered. I got no response to my voicemail. However, what I did get was a charge to my credit card. I ended up taking a trip to my local baby supply store and purchased a car seat. Dealing with this company was very disappointing. When I called for my refund two weeks later, I was told they would need to look into it and would call me with the results of their inquiry. It went very smoothly with the items i rented from Babies Getaway with the exception of the wrong size warmer sent for the stroller add on but they quickly apologized and sent a new one overnight. I am very pleased with my order and have already recommended them to two friends who used them. Terrible. We have used several baby gear delivery services over the years and this was by far the worst. We had confirmed 2 cribs to be delivered at our hotel. Everything was paid for, and the crib order was "confirmed and awaiting delivery online." We arrived to our resort and the cribs were nowhere to be found. I called the company and the lady said she would "call the driver and see where he was at." 10 minutes later she called me back and said bluntly "I regret to inform you, but we actually DON'T have the cribs for you... but we can offer you a refund." I was stunned. How could this happen?? The order I had placed months ago was "confirmed and awaiting delivery" on their website, and I had received an email to confirm as well. What happened?? I had T minus 3 hours until baby bedtime for 2 toddlers... and zero cribs. Awesome. Thankfully, I was able to get in touch with another much more professional baby gear delivery company (Baby's Away), and they provided two clean cribs and sheets within 2 hours. And moreover, they were very friendly and professional. Would never use babies getaway again... but highly recommend Baby's Away. read more

I reserved two booster seats for my trip in New York for the dates November 30-December 3. On Friday, November 30 I received a phone call from the company stating they had experienced a power outage and my seats would be delivered a few hours later than I had requested. I appreciated the call and I was understanding since some things are beyond our control. However, I did not receive my order at all on Friday and I did not receive any correspondence updating me on my order either. The next day we had to go to our event in NYC with no seats, and I finally received an email stating my order had been delivered to our hotel. But, I still had not spoken to anyone regarding the delay in my order. Since we got back to our hotel late at night, I checked with the lobby about the car seats the next day. I ONLY RECEIVED ONE OUT OF THE TWO BOOSTER SEATS I ORDERED AND HAD PAID FOR! I have tried calling the company but nobody answers the phone and I am directed to voicemail. I ordered a crib for Thanksgiving a month before the holiday and they cancelled the order the day before. The fine print said that could happen, so oh well. They said I would be refunded in 3-5 business days. Okay. I contacted them 6 business days later, and they said it hadn't been processed and would take 10-15 days. I think that's what the email said - it was hard to tell because of the grammatical errors in it. It's now more than a month later and I still haven't gotten my money back. Trying to call them is useless and their website's chat function takes you to the chat company's website, and so I emailed them again two weeks after their cancellation and they literally sent me back the same pseudo-form letter email, this time highlighted in yellow. Based on my experience, I am not even sure they're a real company. My credit card company is still trying to get my money back. read more

At first, I've been waiting on a corrected invoice from a "manager", at least that's what I've been told each time I called to follow up on the matter. Then, I've called the day delivery was due. The items were to be dropped off by noon, I've called around 3pm, then emailed at 6 advising the firm that the items were NEVER delivered. Well, their office was already closed for the weekend, so I knew they won't respond or perform. I've never heard back from them as to what happened and why there failed to render services. Recently I got an email that looked like SPAM with something along the lines that the matter is closed and resolved. The note was as a reply to my email, So I didn't feel the need to do anything with it; I thought it's their system "closing" the matter on their end. Now I see that after I've already wasted much time trying to get the invoice corrected, waited for the items, had to find a way to be without them during our trip, now I have to deal with the unwarranted charge! read more

This company sucks,I placed an order for a FULL SIZE CRIB, BUMPERS, High Chair ( minus the roach that fell out of it when opened), Tub, and Red Wagon. First of all they said I put in wrong address, when I changed the billing address versus delivery that's where it all went wrong, They delivered it to my mother in laws house and I was going 3 hours away.They dumped it on the patio and left. We took 2 cars one for the baby stuff to our destination. Bought in Crib , turns out its a PORTABLE CRIB ( No Sheets), never received the Bumpers I paid for, our hostess opens high chair and Roach falls out of cushion, I'm ready to die. Paid for Red Wagon NO WAGON NO EXPLANATIONS.They are not available on Saturday or Sunday. We get in touch with them Monday very nice girl tells me they are going to credit me $70.00 and that they have been having trouble with their web site. That they will gladly pick up stuff at my destination just give her the address and leave it outside they will be there on Tuesday. I thought it was all over we left everything there. Half hour away from home this nasty ass bitch calls my phone says she is the manager and that I need to bring it back with me I explain that I am almost home and that i was told it would get picked up free of charge. She says no way not possible unless I PAY $50.00. Which I tell her fine take it out of my $70.00 credit . Then I realize it was only $35.00 to deliver and pick up from there to begin with and they charged me $50.00 RIP OFF TOO Very nasty women no customer skills what so ever. Shockingly bad. A nonsensical illogical experience. It feels as if it's designed to make you miss your delivery and be ripped off. Do not use this service. They do not take phone calls. They do not respond to email contact. You create a "ticket" and have to then create an account for that "ticket" just to ask a question. I've done this several times now on the day of my delivery to no response. DO NOT USE. TERRIBLE Oh and also important I NEVER RECEIVED MY ITEMS AND WAS NEVER CONTACTED ABOUT IT. read more

Pros: They have good products and quick response time from customer service. Cons: You really need that customer service because the company will make changes to your order without confirming with you, and then it will take them over a month to refund your money if there's a problem (which there was). Another con: We thought we were getting a delivery from a local driver - as per the information provided by Babies Getaway - so we could be in contact with that person and have detailed information on arrival time. We did select a specific delivery window on the BG website when submitting our order, after all. It turns out they were using the US postal service, so the delivery window was irrelevant. As we were renting a condo, we only had access after 4pm on the day of arrival, so the fact that it would likely be delivered before then was not an option nor was it ideal. This was not disclosed to us when we signed up. Our story: We rented in Myrtle Beach and two days before delivery received an updated address from the condo we were renting - the change in address was only the street number, directly across the street from what we had requested originally. I sent an inquiry to Babies Getaway customer service asking if we could change the delivery address this close to the date. Instead of responding and saying no, they cancelled the order without consulting me. I immediately phoned and emailed back asking them to un-cancel the order and they said they were unable to and they would refund my money. As we were leaving a day or two later, no one else had any rental gear available and we were without options. We had the trip, came back, and I followed up many times with customer service about the refund. It took over a month for the money to be refunded. read more

All I've done is place the order but it's already been frustrating. I included the correct shipping address and it came back to me as the wrong address (they put it as my billing address). So I had to get that changed. I also couldn't sign the agreement so I have no idea if I'm actually going to receive my items. I ALSO CANNOT TO REACH ANYONE. I want to make a change to my order but have tried calling and messaging with no response. I've tried multiple times to call during the business hours on their website and every time it's an automated voice message saying it's after hours, a weekend, or a holiday. Responsive and reliable service. Our granddaughters crib arrived clean, wrapped in a covering to protect it and was as comfy as could be! Her team delivered on time and picked it up with respect and a smile on their face. The bonus was their pricing was well in line with what you would expect to pay for a rental of this nature. I would absolutely rent from Babies Getaway again and would strongly recommend them. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is they told us the bed would be picked up the day we were finished with it and this did not happen. While they did not charge us, they needed to wait for a truck to come to our area and the bed was in our space for a few days longer. We would suggest providing more detailed information to the customer that's all. read more

I am very happy with the quality and cleanliness of both the Crib & Highchair. The delivery man was great. He brought everything upstairs and set up both the crib and helped me open the highchair. Pick up was great also. They came right on time. At first the women taking my order accidentally charged me $25 delivery fee which was promptly refunded. I rented a booster and car seat for a Philadelphia visit over Thanksgiving. Both arrived at my mom's house early (at no extra charge). Both items appeared to be brand new and were exactly as advertised. Customer service was prompt and responsive when there was a snafu with UPS for pick up once we left town. Reasonable rental prices and free delivery/return--can't beat that. I'll definitely use again for future trips! read more

I am very dissatisfied to say the least. I placed an order on July 18th for a rental for August 19th while traveling to Key West with my two young children. I had a pretty significant order since we needed a lot for my newborn son. I never received my items. With that, I never received a phone call or an email to explain any type of delay or cancellation. I had to reach out to them several times and in several ways. I called, emailed and text the company to get some sort of information. I asked for follow ups, and I never received any - just a refund on the third day of my rental. If this had worked out, I would have recommended this service to others because it could be a lifesaver when traveling with young kids. Instead, this was a headache and a stressful situation since I needed to go out and purchase items I had intended to rent. read more

If I could give this company no stars I would! I called to reserve a stroller for my son, that itself was a complete nightmare so unorganized and took forever. On the morning of delivery I received and email not a phone call saying that my order will be cancel because the stroller I rented isn't available! Really why didn't anyone tell me that when I was making the reservation a week ahead of time! No phone call or anything, who does that. We were in desperate need of a stroller in the city thank goodness for another amazing company that I found that came to our rescue!
