My friend and I came here on a weekday to take advantage of their amazing $15 lunch special. The interior was super colorful and funky with a Medusa theme. The place was spacious and comfy with booth seating. The Lunch Special came with an entree, side, with dip, and fries. I ordered Moussaka, with pita chips and tzatziki sauce. The Pita Chips were perfectly crispy and well seasoned with herbs on top. Moussaka was absolutely delicious, as well as so hearty and filling. The cheese on top had a slight crunch, while the inside was layered with plenty of ground beef, potato, eggplant, zucchini, and béchamel sauce. This was bursting with bold flavor full of a tantalizing blend of spices. All the ingredients worked beautifully together, and the cheese pull was impressive. Fries were delightfully crispy, topped with garlic oil. I would have liked to have feta on top. We also decided to get a dessert to share. We selected the Galaktoboureko, which consisted of creamy semolina custard in phyllo with lemon honey syrup. This was pretty tasty, but was a bit on the sweet side. I think the Loukoumades (Greek baby donuts) with choice of sauce (I would go with Nutella Pistachio) might have been better. Service was solid. Our waiter was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. My friend and I both enjoyed our lovely, affordable meal here.

Going Greek twice in one week? Well, okay. When it comes to restaurants, most people go off of if the food is good. That is their right. However, I look at the whole picture, and in this instance, why I am only giving this a three star review despite the four star quality food. Park Slope is a perfect foodie destination. There is a restaurant for just about any palette. It is also home to one of my favorite Greek restaurants in the city, Simply Greek. Please check out my review for that restaurant if you have not. This restaurant is part of a larger restaurant group in the area, one of which also owns Miti Miti. That is a restaurant I do not endorse. This restaurant carries a similar vibe, but it does have tastier food. I will get right to it. The gyro, the spreads, the loukoumades (Greek donuts), are all exceptional. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. The portions are generous and the food does come out relatively quickly, which is good because Greek food should not take long to prepare. The issue is the customer service. The entire staff did not seem interested in me at all, rather I was treated as an annoyance rather than someone they would want to have return. Greek restaurants pride themselves as making customers feel like family. Servers and staff taking the time to talk to you and get to know who you are. They take an interest in why you chose their restaurant over the thousands of others in this city. Here, it was quite cold and aloof. My server (who also was likely a bartender) Caroline, appeared more interested in her paycheck and colleagues than seeing a more satisfied customer. Sure, I might be some southern Brooklyn local from nowhere notable, looking like someone who might have not much skin in the game, but I take restaurants as a fun way to meet people and express myself. Any and all conversations I had with her were stilted and tight. To make it worse, it is not like I went at a busy time! I can understand if I was there during a dinner rush, but I clearly felt I was a fly on the counter rather than a potential patron. That is a shame because yes, everything I ate here is first rate. The clincher for me was that Caroline did not even notice I was leaving after I had finished everything. It was me who made the "last" move. Not trying to suggest anything, but clearly if a server cannot bother to send you off properly with a simple goodbye, it is telling about the overall vibe of this establishment. Not a friendly one, I can suggest. For Greek in Brooklyn, stick with Simply Greek and Meze. You will still get amazing food, but you will also be treated like family.

This is a 3.5 star review for me, but unfortunately we can't do half stars here. Overall, I was satisfied with my meal here, but the food was nothing that was too outstanding. I ordered the chicken souvlaki and it came with a salad, tzatziki and I chose the spinach rice as my side. I felt that the food could be more flavorful and wasn't the normal seasonings I'm used to at Greek restaurants. We also ordered fries to start and those were the highlight as I could tell they were fresh and not frozen - also had a nice seasoning to them. I ordered one of their drinks and it was very tasty and strong. They have a good happy hour deal which I would come back for since it's buy one get one and runs until 7 PM (not common for the neighborhood). The service was a bit slow and the waiter did mess up my friend's drink order, but they were quick to resolve the issue. They have indoor and outdoor seating and it was a bit warm inside since they had the door open to accommodate the outside seating. Otherwise, the restaurant is well decorated and has a cute vibe to it.

A total hidden gem! I love the "sea-themed" decor as well. This place's food is over the top! Every single dish was SO delicious! They have very interesting dinks as well!(My husband tried frozen espresso and really liked it!) Very friendly staff, willing to explain all the dishes and very knowledgeable. I think we found a new favorite spot!

Solid choice. I tried Medusa The Greek for takeout lunch yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size for the price. I kept things simple and ordered the American Chicken Gyro with Salad. The gyro came packed with fillings and they did not skimp on the amount of chicken strips. They added fresh onions which were delicious. It could have used a little more tzatziki sauce. The salad came with a sprinkling of feta cheese but no olives. Dressing was provided on the side. Overall, I enjoyed the food. Would probably get the large Greek salad next time. I regret not buying some dessert. The desserts look delicious. I'm still remembering the delicious orange infused one I had at the Taverna By The Gyro Project Elite event. Great food gives lasting memories - at least for me. I love Greek and Mediterranean food.

Lamb Empanaditas. $12. A bit oily but a nice filling. Unique/pretty tasty

I went to this little Greek restaurant a while back with a group. The place is pretty casual and the service was friendly. In terms of food, I preferred the main dishes a good amount more but overall, the food was good quality. To drink, I had a Greek Old Fashioned for $12 with Metaxa, mastiha, and orange bitters. It was a nice variant with a unique slight anise flavor from the mastiha though perhaps it was a slightly bit too sweet due to the metaxa. Someone eventually had a frappe for 6$ I believe which I tried a bit of and it was good as well. The Dip Sampler/Pikilia for $22 was our larger appetizer. This consisted of all 6 spreads sampler (guacamole, tzatziki, spicy feta, smoked eggplant, beet hummus, and taramosalata) with za'atar pita chips, tortilla chips, and crudité. All the dips were served in mason jars which makes sense for the neighborhood and they were a bit different compared to the usual dips as can be seen with some of the selections. I personally prefer a more normal hummus instead but it was still good with the smoked eggplant was my favorite along with the spiced feta (or tirokafteri.) The tzatziki was standard as well as the slightly salty taramosalata with the guacamole being a fun new addition. The za'atar pita were nicely spiced and my preference of the chips while the crudité were standard. Tasty and also a bit different was the Saganaki for $12 with lightly battered kefalograviera cheese topped with Cretan Greek honey and black sesame seeds. I was happy that it wasn't too sweet from the honey as some spots drizzle a bit too much on there and the sesame seeds added a unique crunch. This was also good. The Greek Mac & Cheese for $12 as well with halloumi, feta, and graviera was pretty good. There was a bit of crust to it and it wasn't too salty even with the latter cheeses. This was a bit small but it was tasty overall. Also fine for the same price were the Lamb Empanaditas with ground lamb flavored with olives, raisins, thyme, cumin, and fried wheat with mint tzatziki. The unique filling reminded me a bit of picadillo though less sweet with a bit more spice. I also liked this to an extent though it was maybe a bit oily. Last was the Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad for $14 with radish, carrots, celery, graviera, walnuts, dried cranberries, and honey cider dressing. The dressing and toppings were nice though I found the salad a tad dry but the portion again was decent. My preference as said was the platters. The Greek Lamb Platter for $28 was my favorite of the bunch. There was plenty of tender very tasty slightly rich lamb which went with our side which was the Gigantes or baked beans in tomato sauce. Said beans were bit less sweet than other spots and they were cooked down nicely otherwise. The Lamb & Beef Meatballs (or Keftedes) for $23 were also good. The meat was tender again and the tomato sauce as per before was well flavored. The bit of cheese added a touch of saltiness to it. Our side choice for that dish were the Lemon Potatoes which were standard. The last was the Octopus Platter for $43 with onions, capers, parsley, lemon oil, and oregano. As per other spots, I didn't eat due to my severe cephalopod allergy but the others enjoyed it finding it tender with there being a mix of pieces. I had a tiny bit of the side of Brussels Sprouts which were the lightest of the sides and as per the salad, they were prepared well. For dessert, we had a couple. They had a very nice version of Galaktoboureko for $8 with creamy semolina custard in filo with lemon honey syrup. It was served slightly cool which was different and the syrup wasn't as cloyingly sweet as some other spots which I preferred. I have otherwise liked the custard more from places such as Poseidon but it was quite nice and definitely better than average. Last were the Loukoumades With Nutella and Pistachio for $10 which were good. They weren't as sweet as expected and the donuts were fluffy. This was also good as per most of the dishes. The food here was tasty. I preferred the main dishes heavily over the appetizers and if the latter was as high quality, I would more. Even so, we had a good meal here and there's a couple excellent dishes. Low 4.

Came back for round 2 with a couple of friends for an after work dinner. They have happy hour all day during the week! I kept simple with tequila and seltzer but my friends enjoyed their margaritas. The calamari was tasty, hot and fresh. For entree I got the lamb kebabs and they were so tasty and flavorful. I enjoyed their side salad too but the fries needs salt. Service was a little slow to start but picked up and we had a great time. The place is cute and all decked out for pride month.

Loved this spot! The skirt steak souvlaki was definitely my favorite dish perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The décor was super cool with the graffiti vibe, and the bar had a great selection of drinks. It's conveniently located near the Barclays Center, which makes it a perfect pre- or post-event stop. Our waitress was amazing (wish I remembered her name!) and gave excellent recommendations that really made the experience even better. Delicious Greek food, great atmosphere, and wonderful service. I'll definitely be back.

Get the octopus! Fresh and perfecty cooked , with briny capers and fresh lemon. You won't be disappointed. We went in on Valentine's Day around 3pm , the place was empty but we were trying to avoid the Love Day crowds and opted for late lunch .We had our pick of seats and chose to sit by the gigantic painting of Medusa. The bartender/hostess was friendly and we had a good time chatting with her. She recommend the Mykonos Mescal Margarita which has pineapple so we got that- one frozen and mine on the rocks. Well balanced and fresh lime flavor. Hubby had the Greek Bowl with meatballs, they were good too. Halfway through our meal the crowd started trickling in, the place was already lively before that because there was great music The ambiance was already one of relaxed, fun and familiar neighborhood dining. We got two more drinks to go . We'll be back for the octopus and more.

Chose Medusa for dinner with a longtime friend that's in town. The ambiance was cute. Its a nice space for a small or large group and good for families with children. They have a Monday Happy Hour special and the drinks were so good. Our server was Pauline and she was a sweetheart. She made our drinks so yummy and beautiful. The frozen gradient of the frozen passion margarita and garnish were chefs kiss. It looks just as good as it tasted! My friend got the chicken shawarma platter with the lemony potatoes. We shared the crispy zucchini and it was seasoned just right. We had a great time at Medusa the Greek and our lovely conversation and interaction with Pauline made it even better. Because of her excellent service and the restaurants tasty food both me and my friend agreed we'd recommend this spot to family and friends. The portion size for the platter was hefty and good for sharing or for yummy leftovers! Check out Medusa the Greek the next time you're in Park Slope. Say hi to Pauline and remember to have fun, enjoy your food and tip your server! The restaurant group that owns Bogota and Miti Miti own this spot as well if that means anything to anyone.

This food is amazing! It's a hidden gem right on 5th Ave that everyone needs to try. A few coworkers and I stopped by for a quick bite after work, and we were impressed. Everything was incredibly fresh, and the portions were generous and perfect for sharing. Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive, making me feel like I was back in Athens. The ambiance is just right for an after-work meal or a family dinner, as this food can bring anyone together. Don't over look Medusa the Greek!

Our group came here for drag brunch and it was so much fun! A real treat considering that there was no ticket fee or cover charge. The drag was an incredible performance and I would go back for her alone! The food was also great! Very reasonably priced and fairly tasty.

I've been wanting to get into the most recent addition to the Trio of restaurants owned by Miti Miti and Bogota Latin Bistro. This modern take on Greek food was pretty good! I loved the create yet tasty options. Glad I came with the bestie so we could swap food. The cocktails and sauces/dips won me over! If you love authentic baklava, I suggest you pass... Service was good, pretty consistent with the brand!

I got a two skewer combo with shrimp and pork (and remembered to ask for my fries well done). Everything about this plate was spot on from the marinades, to the seasoning to the temperature. The fries are STELLAR! Much more like the rustic fried potatoes that you find in a Greek taverna. There seemed to be a constant flow of satisfied guests, happily dining in the "secret garden" out back. Keep it up Ya Souvlakia.

They stay true to classic Greek street food while offering a few creative options that help set them apart from other spots. It's super cozy inside, and they also give you pillows to sit on. Our server was really friendly and gave us great recommendations. We ordered a few different things to share for our party of two: - Bacon wrapped dates (5/5) so good!!! - Short ribs (5/5) I actually don't usually eat beef but these were so good and not dry. The orzo on the side also balanced it out well. - Kale salad (5/5) This seemed like a simple salad but it was so yummy and dressed well. The pine nuts tasted good with this too! - Vegan fruit sundae (2/5) Sadly this was the only thing that missed the mark. I didn't like the raisins and the almonds didn't really work well with everything but that was just me. The sorbet was also pretty sour. The best thing about this was the white cream on top (it tasted like real cream)
