    Latte art

We stopped here while shopping on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty chill and maybe a dozen or so people around. This shop has been open 6-8 years and appears to be well known in the area. We ordered a large Mexican latte and a regular Cinnamon Dulce with a cranberry muffin and brown sugar scone. The total was $19.25 before tax and tip. Atmosphere 3 - The first impression when you walk in is great. Kind of a Starbucky-type shop. I thought the accent wall with their logo was very cool. The counter area and displays look great and I love the stained concrete floors. Lots of space between tables, so you don't feel crowded. The far right wall is out of place. For some reason there is a strip of wall paper, that looks like bricks, all the way down the wall. I am not sure what the story is with that, but check it out and see if you don't agree. Odd. The jewel art is kinda cool but gets swallowed up on the giant wall and the one above our table was held up with thumb tacks. Service 5 - We both agree the barista was fantastic. So friendly and answered all of our questions. She smiled for every customer and we were very impressed with her. Cleanliness 3 - Average and no big mess anywhere. It looks like this place gets a good cleaning everyday. Parking 5 - plenty of parking out front. Taste 5 - everything tasted great! I mean everything, and there is really nothing to criticize. We wanted to get more drinks, for real. I want to taste everything! Pastries 5 - By far, this place has the largest variety of pastries we have seen in the area. The most impressive is that all of their pastries are fresh baked on sight. Both of the pastries we had were delicious. Variety 5 - This is the standard for variety for us from now on. This shop does not try to funnel you into one size to maximize their profits. There are so many options that it may take you a minute to decide what you want. We love that! Latte art/presentation 4.5 - Check out the pictures, they speak for themselves.

I had driven by babylon a number of times, and suggested to friends that we needed to come try it ... but hadn't been able to settle down a time to go check it out. I was planning on getting together with a friend that I hadn't seen in a long time and she brought up Babylon, so we finally went! I got the flamed orange, I had intended to order it iced but forgot to ask for it iced ... it was absolutely delisious hot! I for sure want to come back to try it iced. I didn't get any pastries, but my friend did and she enjoyed the one that she got. Staff did a great job getting drinks and snacks out in a reasonable time frame. They are a women owned small business based on a sign I noticed when I was checking out. For sure worth giving a chance!

I can't believe I've been going everywhere else and totally that's fine thank you missing this place! I'm absolutely in love the staff is so sweet and educational! Their coffees are delicious. I love their sausage at breakfast sandwich!

visited this small coffee café on a quiet Sunday and loved the cozy atmosphere with comfy sofas and a calm vibe. The Turkish coffee and cappuccino were both excellent, and the chocolate muffin was soft, moist and not overwhelmingly sweet. However, the baklava was a bit disappointing--it didn't feel fresh, and the layers were just off. Overall, a great spot for coffee, but I'd skip the baklava next time.

If you are an early morning person and need to kickstart you day then you have to stop here at Babylon Coffee Roaster located on Hwy 26. I'm from the coffee capital of the world, Seattle, Washington and here in North Richland Hills Texas. I had to find me a coffee house. I found one that I absolutely recommend. Babylon Coffee Roasters is a privately owned by Hiba (Hee ba) She is the most personable person and is very proud of her coffees. This is a woman that took a leap of faith by opening business right when COVID hit the US starting March of 2020. I had the opportunity to meet all the employees. Every single one of them always greats with a smile. Her biggest supporter is her husband, Rani (Ronnie), Sandra(Daughter), Savio (son) Stella (daughter...not old enough yet), Meorah (May or a) employee and McKenzie employee. One of the requirement to work here is a big smile friendly and know how to be a barista. I meet all qualifications except being a barista. Moms groups, Bible studies, guys hang out, teachers at TCCC, Student study groups, make this your morning stop. I absolutely recommend making you morning routine. Papa Jake

Great service and great ambiance! I believe they're a Christian coffee shop so if you're a fellow Christ follower, please support them! Food was pretty good as well, I recommend checking out the muffins

Visited this location today, the barista was welcoming and ordering was a breeze. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with cinnamon powder and a raspberry crown pastry (similar to a danish style pastry). My order was made quickly. The latter was okay, I did not taste much other than the milk and vanilla. Unfortunately the espresso flavor was very mild despite the drink color being typical of a latte. The pastry was absolutely delicious. Vibes were relaxed and casual with nice decor and moderate noise. It was a good place to study for me. I would probably return, but perhaps try a different beverage.

While there, a lady came in with her mother, the owner of the establishment came out to greet her in a way a friend would greet another. When you're wanting something that feels genuine and from the heart, this will be a cafe I'd recommend. Everyone, knows someone, even if meeting as strangers over coffee or nibbles of sweet pastries. Heck, you can throw in some games to that, as well. As someone stated in a previous review, it seems as if everyone who works there, truly loves being there. It isn't a chore, it isn't about rushing to get to the next drink preparation, they're, there to make sure you have the best experience in the place they nurture for others to enjoy. I appreciate that. Blueberry Matcha: I'm a fan, but not a fan of matcha. To explain, not everyone knows how to balance the taste of matcha. It's either way too earthy/gritty or not sweet enough, it has been rare that someone knows how to balance that combination. I have never tried a blueberry matcha and was excited to see this was one of our options. This was superb. The blueberry wasn't in syrup form, it was a blueberry foam that added the perfect amount of flavor and sweetness. This is something I'd get again, and again. Too many people ruin matcha's with syrup that swims on the bottom, here, not even. Seasonal: White Chocolate Rose Scone I'll admit, I'm not a scone person. The scones I've tried in the past, were hard and flaky and that's what turned me away from there. But this scone was soft and moist, I truly enjoyed every bite. I am now open to trying others, but only at this cafe. Cheddar Chive Biscuit: My favorite. Well, my favorite is their Pepper Jack Jalapeno Biscuit, so this will be my second. I warmed it up and added a touch of butter, OOOHHWEEEE, it more than hit the spot. I can't wait to have one again. With this latest visit, I learned they alternate their biscuits monthly and they have calendars available to remind their patrons. There are several I'd love to try and thankfully, they're being served on my days off. This is such a beautiful establishment, that's inside and out.

There's even a little corner with a bookcase and games, right next to the WiFi password--such a thoughtful touch! The owner also shares a monthly baking schedule, which is super helpful if you want to plan ahead and place orders for the office, friends, or family. I even noticed an Easter order form available for anyone needing some last-minute holiday treats! They also feature monthly drink menus, which keeps things fun and interesting if you like trying something new. The music is lightly playing in the background--just enough to set the mood without overpowering conversation or your peaceful time. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to

The consistency is bad. Some days you get a great drink other days you get a mediocre drink they all make them different and I think they'd all rather stand around and joke with each other and play rather than work. We went to the location in Southlake and we happen to mention that we usually go to hurst and they asked us what we thought about the help there. So I guess the hurst crowd has its own reputation. But I've decided we're gonna give Hurst a rest. I mean, we really only go because our gym is in that general direction but we can go to other coffee shops. When we pulled into the parking lot, we immediately noticed how full it was. Once we walked in, there was a great amount of people sitting around, possibly having meetings and working. There is even a little seating area for children to sit and read or play. The staff was polite and helpful. We ordered with ease. I like that there is plenty of seating areas inside, two different outside patios downstairs, seating on a second level and another huge patio area upstairs. To get upstairs, you can take the stairs or use the elevator. Besides beverages, you can purchase pastries and merchandise such as t-shirts. At the same time, my alcohol tolerance is horrible and I just would not have been able to handle any wine or other drink with alcohol. Thus, I could not enjoy the specialties of this establishment. Instead, I got the chicken pesto sandwich. Although quite unassuming, the sandwich was incredibly delicious. The ciabatta bread offered just the right amount of toast and texture to hold everything. There was a sizeable chicken breast. Not dry but also not too flavorful by itself but that's okay. The pesto really delivered on the flavor with a savory, nutty, and slightly herbal flavor. In the future, I'd love to try a one of their many drinks - non-alcoholic and alcoholic included!

To name a few there's creme brulee, charcoal honey, ube, pandan...along with all the regular flavors. The pastries are good, they are average, which is still a good thing. Ham & cheese came out flaky. :) Presentation is beautiful. Sometimes I'll go there midday & there's not alot to choose from so it will prevent me from getting a snack. Charcuterie & wine is available but I haven't ordered any of those. A fun atmosphere, along the wall are built in seats with chairs on the opposite end of the table. Other seating includes table with benches (beware you can't move the benches to get in & out, if I'm wrong I apologize), then some a few tables with chairs by the windows, on the other side they do have benches facing each other with tables in between (great for groups!), & beautiful outdoor patio seating. They have a small upstairs with chairs & use wine barrels as tables. Clever! Customer service is okay, let me say that every person there has been extremely pleasant but out of the four times I've been there, only once I didn't have an issue. They seem to enough their jobs & working together, which is a green flag for any place, but sometimes they get distracted. One time I stood there & staff was chatting in the corner, a good amount of time passed before anyone noticed me. Another time, they just forgot my drink (it was the only thing in my order) & there were no other order left... the group was again chatting away with with each other, then during another visit they forgot my croissant. Each time they did apologize, but three out of four times aren't good odds. I probably won't frequent this location as much, but I will stop by once in awhile because their drinks are worth it.

This place leans more into the healthier eating and you can see the staff working right behind the open counter. Presentation for all of our food was good. We ordered Brussels sprouts to share. They felt a bit overcooked - more steamed and mushy vs. the stir-fried/air-fried Brussels that I enjoy. Didn't really have much flavor. Then I ordered the winter burger with potatoes. The burger was a decent size and the winter burger included a few apple slices on it. Sadly, the apple slices were the only things that gave this burger flavor since the burger patty itself lacked any seasoning. I enjoyed the baby potatoes but it, too, needed more salt. I ordered the olive oil cake to go for my husband. Again, good presentation but lacking in taste. It was closer to dry cornbread consistency rather than a moist cake (and I've made plenty of olive oil cakes before to know it can be moist!) Rating more for the service and ambience but would give it 2 stars for food. Overall, if I go back, I'll try something else like a salad or stick to the smoothies here.
