I always wanted an in ground jacuzzi in my backyard. My pool maintenance guy recommended Artin and Babylon Pools. I went to Yelp and read the reviews. They were stellar reviews, so I met with Artin. Artin is the owner and we had a great meeting. I felt very comfortable that he would build me the jacuzzi that I always wanted. And, he did! Let's be honest, building something from the ground up is a pain in the ass! There are always unforeseen problems. And getting all the permits needed, as well as all the inspections, is a long and frustrating process. Having said this, I can't think of a better guy to go through this process with than Artin. When problems arise, Artin is very calm, very methodical and always thinks of the best and easiest solution. He's also an excellent communicator. He returns calls and texts quickly. I didn't really have a design in mind for my jacuzzi. Artin has an excellent design sense. He saw the space available and designed the shape of the jacuzzi to fit comfortably into the space. Plus, everyone in his crew, the plumbers, electricians, tile people, stone people and general workers were all great! Everyone involved did such a great job! Everyone was nice, professional and really cared about their job. They are all excellent craftsmen! I really felt that everyone involved cared about building me a quality and beautiful jacuzzi that would last for decades. They all really cared about their work. I LOVE being in my new jacuzzi!! We hired Babylon pools to not only to redo our pool but our backyard landscape as well. They did it so quick and efficient we were left amazed. The first day i was in shock how clean and efficient the workers were. Picking out the colors/tiles, etc was so quick. I thought we were going to be picking all day but Artin was so knowledgeable about the material, durability and per what we wanted he was able to help us make the decisions quickly. UPDATE - the WOW factor with Babylon continues. See my review from the process below. Couldn't be happier. Artin (owner) promised to have our pool done by the end of June / beginning of July. Well...he didn't keep his promise...HE FINISHED IT A MONTH SOONER!!! He built an unbelievably quality pool WITH PAVER STONE INSTALLATION of 2,400 SqFt in less than 1 1/2 months. He has made me a true believer in the saying "you get what you pay for". I know he is not the most expensive, but he also isn't the cheapest and he proved his worth with the OUTSTANDING work and attention to detail (and I am VERY picky). I have referred him to 5 people already and will continue to do so. I still can't believe my family and I get to enjoy our beautiful pool ALLLL summer long. PERFECT timing too. ‍‍‍ In one word...WOW! Artin is currently workin on my pool and the amount of attention to detail he has provided us is unmatched by ANY contractor I have ever worked with. I cannot speak highly enough about our experience with Babylon Pools, the owner Artin and his entire team. I had been waiting for years to move forward with building a pool and I cannot be happier that I chose Babylon Pools and Artin. I had interviewed and bid several pool companies (yah, I'm that guy) ultimately choosing Babylon. Artin was involved from the very beginning starting with design, engineering, plan check, permitting and build. First of all he was very understanding with my wishy washy process for design and helped guide me through the designs, costs, ad ons (water fall, remote access to equipment) etc to ensure we built what we wanted. I was blown away with how quickly our plans were approved with ZERO corrections from the city with permits issued. From the moment bobcat started digging it was very smooth sailing. Each trade was on time, very diligent and surprisingly quick. Not one delay or correction from the city inspectors during the build as well! Ultimately we ended up with the pool we were dreaming of, on time and on budget. Building a pool is no small task but Artin and his team made it a smooth experience and took away all the anxiety of the project. I hired Babylon (after meeting/consulting with 4 different pool contractors in the area) to build a new pool and spa inside my existing one, which required permitting, etc. I decided to hire Art to build my pool because of his professionalism, transparency in pricing, and knowledge. After working with Art and his crew for a few months, and seeing the quality they deliver, I decided to hire them again to finish the backyard hardscaping and then some (too many projects to list). No construction project ever goes 100 percent smoothly (especially during Covid), but having worked with many contractors throughout the years, what stood out to me about Art was his professionalism and timely response to issues that arose, attention to detail, knowledge, and craftsmanship. I've used Babylon Pools for entire backyard design and construction.  Being specialized in hillside construction, caisson and foundation work, it gave me confidence to move ahead with Artin and his crew. Sure enough I made the right decision. They did a project for a friend of mine who also lives on the hills and the fact that him and his wife here extremely happy meant a lot to me, by knowing that it's hard to please my friend and his wife. My project was designed on 12 caissons, grade beams and entirely suspended structure. I needed a pool ladder installed. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find someone who does this type of work. I made maybe 10+ calls who all turned me away before I came across Babylon Pools and I'm glad that my search led me to them. Artin is a professional and an expert. He gave me detailed explanations about the installation and process. He also explained why most other pool guys won't do this work and if they do, to make sure they were installing it properly (because improper install is a major safety hazard and liability issue). He offered to give me advice to make sure that installation was safe even if I chose not to go with Babylon. My husband and I purchased our first home last year. The house had a pool but it was extremely outdated and not at all what we wanted. We decided to give Artin with Babylon pools a call after hearing several of our friends mentioning his name. Artin gave our pool a total makeover by removing hazardous large rocks around the pool, making plaster into pebble, and also chorine into saltwater. The overall style of the pool is completely different and so much more modern and beautiful. We get so many compliments on it! Not only did Artin give us the pool of our dreams but he did it by keeping our budget in mind and always worked hard to get things done on a timely manner. The pool remodeling was going on during the worst days of the pandemic but he was still able to get the material he needed because of the urgency to go above and beyond for his customers. Artin - You also forgot a few things in your response, so I just want to clear those up as well. But, before I get to the itemized list, I want to say that I never would have written a Yelp review like this if your communication had been remotely good. There were MANY times during the project where I would have to call or text multiple times before you would call me back. I would even give you a day or two to call back before calling or texting again. If you were busy, you could have easily just texted me to acknowledge me and let me know when you could get back to me, but you didn't even give me that consideration. Now getting back to your responses...first off, I'm not sure I know anyone who has a pool that doesn't swim and play in the pool. As an experienced pool builder, I would have assumed that you would take this into account with the cover and build the pool to minimize spillage into the cover area. In all honesty even if it's just me swimming in the pool, there is overflow, which I believe there shouldn't be if it was engineered correctly. Before writing this, I had worked with my pool guy to lower the water level as much as we can to still have the filter work, but it's still an issue. GFI ISSUE: You are correct, we did have a problem with the toys and balls and now we are aware and that doesn't happen anymore, as we are constantly checking. To that end, you were very unhelpful in solving that problem. It took more than 5 calls to get you to call me back and send someone out. I didn't mind paying for help, but I had to call over and over again. AND once we did figure out the problem and realized that we were going to need a solution to take the heavy concrete slabs off to check for balls and toys, you were unable to help and refused to come over to see the problem yourself. I had to pay another company to help me figure out a solution. Spa Issue: I don't think you understand what I'm saying. We built in a waterfall that has the water flow from the spa into the pool. When that is flowing, the water from the spa mixes with the pool. I understand it was designed that way, just wish you had communicated how it would work, especially since we decided to do a cover. This isn't a huge issue, just a bummer. Permit: Again, you NEVER told me that you weren't getting final on my pool because of the other construction. We actually could have gotten final because you finished while we were still demo-ing the inside. There was no reason to not get final - only that you decided to not return phone calls or come over from what I can see. No need for you to come get final on the pool. I ended up doing it myself because I knew I wouldn't hear back from you and I didn't want to call multiple times. Communication: The BEST communication we had from your company was when you were out of town. Your brother was fabulous. He kept us up to date, returned calls and made no excuses. The issues I'm speaking of were when you were in town and in charge. As someone who has used your services, I felt that I needed to also clarify what my experience was. I only wrote the review because I thought it was necessary to let people know what issues I had if they were thinking of using you. read more

We interviewed four pool builders before making a decision and we are so happy we made the right choice. Artin knows his business, he is responsible and reliable and his prices are fair. The frosting on the cake is his fun sense of humor. Our pool was completed within the time frame he promised...his workers were knowledgeable, and professional. Artin made suggestions along the way and led us to a finished, gorgeous rectangular pool with a raised wall on one side with three sheer descents (waterfalls) and a spa. Our baja deck has a place in it for an umbrella. We have LED lights that change colors and everything can be controlled from our smart phones. When I was concerned about the color we were choosing for our pebble finish, Artin took us to a home to see the finish we were considering. We had a pool, raised spa and retaining wall system built in our backyard and it looks amazing. The subcontractors at each stage were great. But my hats go off to the two young men who work for Babylon pools would diligently dug up our yard for the drainage system and jack hammered our granite hill for a new retaining wall. It was not an easy job. I gave them 4 stars because there was some lack of communication about what was to be completed under the original quote. However, it was resolved. read more
