Had my first baby here back in January. I had my prenatal care handled by the midwives on staff since august, I switched from my OB after I realized birthing in a hospital wasn't for me. My care was top notch: they spent time with me, asking questions about how everything was going with the pregnancy, if I needed anything and they made me feel heard and understood. I love all the midwives I've worked with while there. Giving birth at the birth center was great because I felt free to choose what I thought worked best for having my baby without the vibes a hospital gives me, and it was more relaxed and homey. My midwife at the birth was helpful with finding positions around the facility to help me continue laboring beyond the typical on your back position. The tub and shower were definitely my favorite spots. After having my son during golden hour, the midwife made cookies and gave us a few while we were bonding with our baby. You wouldn't get that in a hospital. When our next one is on the way, we'll definitely go back for care from Babymoon! read more

I had 1 appointment with babymoon in Tucson, they cashed my $5,000 check one week later on a Wednesday and called me at 7:30pm on Friday 2 days after to tell me they were closing. I have received radio silence and no refund of any kind. My wife used Babymoon Inn and we paid a $4,000 deposit in early 2023. After our relationship with Babymoon ended in June 2023 we had an balance of roughly $1,200 that was to be returned to us as we received less than $4,000 of services. Babymoon was slow to respond to our requests for months and took constant reminders on our end in order to "negotiate" a return of our deposit. Due to Babymoon asking for us to make concessions that were not included in any contract we signed with Babymoon we eventually filed a small claims lawsuit to facilitate the return of our deposit. Babymoon never responded to the lawsuit (despite evidence of them being properly served) we were awarded a Default Judgment against Babymoon Inn for the amount of $1,652.91. Babymoon Inn and their owner Julia have completed disappeared and have absconded with the remainder of our deposit that is still owed to us. read more

After an extensive Google search and reviews from close friends, we decided to go with Baby Moon and deliver our first child with the hopes of having a safe, low-intervention birth with a midwife present. We contacted Babymoon Inn on April 11, 2024, and scheduled our first appointment on April 12, 2024. We were given a tour and a packet of information regarding the cost of all services, including prenatal care, prenatal courses, and delivery at the Baby Moon facility. We said we would think about it. We came back for our first prenatal visit at eight weeks on 5/9/2024 and paid all services in full for a total of $4365. We were told this included everything listed above for delivery at the Baby Moon Center in December 2024 When we paid in full, there was no indication that Babymoon was experiencing financial hardship and may shut down. Actually, there was one review six months earlier that warned future moms of Babymoon Inn regarding account reconciliations, but I thought, "That's just one of a few bad reviews." We attended our 12-week visit on June 6, 2024, and very quickly into our appointmet told us that Babymoon Inn would be closing by the end of the month and all care would cease. We were shocked and robbed of an exciting moment right before we saw our baby on ultrasound. We were given very little explanation and absolutely zero explanation on how we would receive our money back so we could apply those funds to prenatal care from this point on. The midwife we saw the day we received the news told us this was "a brewing storm due to rising rent cost, lower birth rates, etc."... she also told us the midwife we had been seeing had already found a new job at Womb Keepers, which tells us that they knew the business was coming to an end, yet they took thousands of dollars from us four weeks prior, knowing that it would be needed to safely care for and deliver our child. FURTHER, It was very concerning because we called Womb Keepers, hoping they would have availability for us. Their office manager told us that BabyMoon Inn had not been paying their staff.... If this is true, then this company was financially unsound before we paid them but still chose to take from us. Since then, the office manager Janet has been cold and dismissive about our money. The executive director, Julia continue to feed us bland messages of "we're so sorry"... sorry helps who in this situation??? We want our money back. My biggest regret was not putting this on an American Express so I could file a fraud claim. This place is unethical. I'm not due until December, but I can only imagine the moms due in July/ August. Pregnancy is a vulnerable time and the fact that this company would gobble up over $4000 of our hard-earned money and not have the decency to provide us with some clarity regarding our "account reconciliation" is despicable. After withdrawing my care with Babymoon I was told someone would be in touch to reconcile my account (self pay plan) to conduct a refund. It has been 6 weeks and I still have not received my refund nor has anyone called. I have called, emailed and left voicemails and the only response I get is that my account has been reconciled and here's a statement and someone will be in touch.. 6 weeks.. and counting.. is a completely unprofessional timeline to process refunds especially in the middle of the stresses of a pregnancy. We love Baby Moon! My wife and I just had our second little girl and they were both birthed at Baby Moon. I have so many amazing things to say about everyone there...from the mid-wives to the people at the front desk, and the overall hospitality (and the snacks haha). We always feel welcomed, loved, and celebrated. They never rush through our appointments. They give us time to ask questions and address any fears or concerns we may have had. After our first birth there, we decided to go back because we simply felt safe there...like we could trust them. We live a healthy lifestyle and keeping things as "natural" as possible is important to us. They were entirely happy to accommodate our desires based on our respective beliefs. They never tried to pressure us into something we weren't comfortable with. At one point, we were discussing moving (which didn't happen), and we actually talked about coming back to AZ a few months before the birth just to have the baby at Baby Moon since we had such a great experience. Baby Moon will always have a special place in our hearts. I highly recommend them! read more

I actually used the Tucson location, but that's mostly irrelevant since they both belonged to Julia Ryerson Hall, and this review doesn't reflect on the location staff, but rather the decisions Julia made. I was due on July 5th, 2024, and had signed on and paid babymoon inn starting in late January. About a month before my due date, I received a call from my midwife stating that babymoon was closing unexpectedly, and that I would need to make other arrangements for my care and delivery. Luckily my midwife also recommended blocking any further auto payments to babymoon by any means necessary, (I cancelled that card and informed my bank) cause Julia told me that not only did she not owe me any kind of refund, I actually still owed her money, despite the fact that I'd only had 5 appointments, no medical care, or classes, and had paid over $3,000 out of my own pocket. Upon some further investigation, she had filed for bankruptcy back in mid May, but hadn't bothered to tell babymoon's clients/patients anything was up. We also found out babymoon hadn't been paying its employees, and was being sued by some of its investors. If I'd had known any of this beforehand I'd never have signed on and given Julia our money. In this economy especially, that financial loss was a punch in the gut. Beyond that, her actions caused emotional turmoil and logistical panic and stress, during a delicate and vulnerable time for my family. We're a family of 4 now, on one income, and Julia doesn't seem to give a damn how she hurt us, and many others. Babymoon is closed now, but if you ever have the opportunity to do any other kind of business with Julia, do yourself a favor and run in the opposite direction. read more

I have been with Babymoon for three pregnancies now. The midwives and staff are all incredibly supportive, as well as being professional and knowledgeable. They take their time to make sure any questions I have are answered, and it's so helpful that there is always someone on call for any concerns. My husband and I took the 5-week Comprehensive Child Birth Series classes and absolutely loved the experience we had! This is our first baby and we wanted to prepare as much as we could and felt that we got that and more with Raquel! I've worked as a nurse for over 10 years in the ER and OR and still felt that the knowledge and insight I gained from these classes was invaluable. It was evident how experienced Raquel was as well as warm, kind, and knowledgable. She took her time to make sure everyone's questions were answered and included the most recent evidence-based recommendations throughout the classes and did not make the entire class an anecdotal spiel like some other courses I've taken in the past. My husband had much less to zero experience with childbirth/childcare and he left the classes feeling much more prepared and comfortable with what to expect not just during labor but afterwards in bringing the baby home. Raquel was more supportive and a greater resource than the labor & delivery nurse line that was provided through my insurance! I would recommend these classes to everyone! read more

babymoon inn has left me and my wife with the worst birth center experience i've heard of with our first child we had always wanted to use a Babymoon even before we got pregnant and we reached out to them and made an appointment when we knew we were pregnant with her first child. the service was great at first we know lots of people in our community Circle that have used Babymoon for their children and overall we just thought that it was a very good fit with everything they had to offer, but that soon became sour after on our second visit, we were informed that the center was being forced to close We were sad, but understood that it wasn't in everyone's control we were told by the office, lady Janet that we would get our money returned because we paid in full by check on the first visit for the entire birth and all of the services that they provide. I was told that I would get contacted in a week or so, and would figure out the refund process. This is now almost a month later and I have not gotten any response from anyone. I've emailed and left's messages of there phones so many times and they currently owe me almost $8000 and I am worried that I will never see that hard earned money again me and my wife are very young and at the beginning of our marriage so we don't have lots of funds to just dump into birth centers, that don't provide the care that we paid for I'm writing this review just to warn others and maybe find anyone else in our same position that possibly we could go in together and push back against Babymoon and get our accounts refunded and our money back so this can be put behind us. read more

Since getting pregnant and having all the aches, pains, and discomfort that go along with that, discovering Babymoon has really been a blessing. I went once after finding a Groupon, and then loved it so much I purchased the 1 year of monthly sessions for $59 per month. They really cater to the needs of pregnant women by keeping even the lobby atmosphere relaxing, and providing plenty of healthy snacks and caffeine-free tea. I've seen three different therapists now, and each has done a wonderful job helping my sore muscles relax while maintaining their own massage-style. If you have a pregnant person in your life I highly recommend you treat them to a Babymoon experience. read more

This review is long overdue, as I received my card from Babymoon in 2018. In the American medical system where patients are herded around like sheep, this facility is a FREAKING BREATH OF FRESH AIR! Having been my first pregnancy that made it past 8 weeks, I wasn't sure what to expect for maternal care throughout my pregnancy. But one thing I was sure of is that I didn't want to use the OB office where I had my well women's exams for the past 10 years, simply because in all those years I had never once met the OB. I did interview the OB for my pregnancy care and she seemed pretty cold and in a rush to get to the next patient, despite me having to pay $75 cash for 5 minutes of her time. At Babymoon, you are treated like a PERSON, by EVERY.SINGLE staff member you come into contact with. EVERY.TIME. They all learn your name, greet you, smile at you, and coo at your baby when you come back to visit for your postpartum care. The midwives spend 30-60 minutes with you at EVERY visit. They take care to make sure all of your questions are answered and concerns eased. They ask ample questions themselves to make sure your pregnancy is progressing healthily. Being my first pregnancy past 8 weeks, there were so many things I didn't even know to ask, or bring up. So them asking numerous questions really made me feel like they had the best interest of me and my baby at heart. While I hoped to deliver at the birth center, that just wasn't in the cards for me and I had to transfer to Banner U. But, the midwives handled that all beautifully and the postpartum care was PHENOMENAL. I seriously cry inside for all the women who seek maternity care from traditional OBs because they simply don't know what they are missing out on. Babymoon even has a midwife who is also a lactation consultant on staff and she was a LIFESAVER when I got engorgement, multiple clogged ducts, and mastitis 3 times! I accredit her dedication to my postpartum care for my successful breastfeeding journey. All of the midwives are amazing and just a phone call or text away! There were two things that I wasn't 100% happy with, but the things I am happy with by far overshadow the negatives, so I still rate this place 5 stars. Those two things are the billing, when dealing with insurance, and the OBGYN they work with when transferring to the hospital. He was absolutely horrid. While he was stitching me up, he told me to be quiet and said I was over-reacting. He then proceeded to tear out the stitches when I couldn't deliver the placenta on my own and had to manually remove it, and then restitch me. I would not recommend this Dr. to my worst enemy and I hope that Babymoon will reconsider who they partner with for hospital transfers. Anyway, I could go on and on and on about all of the amazing benefits of this birth center, but you'd be bored to tears and quit reading, so I'll stop here. Oh my goodness, I cannot believe I never reviewed one of my favorite places in the whole wide world... here is my experience... I loved my OBGYN - she is fantastic and I would recommend her to anyone who is needing/wanting an OB. BUT, like everything else in life, after I got pregnant, I started researching and researching. In the back of my mind I was familiar w/ midwife services because I had a friend who gave birth in a birthing center in Glendale and she always raved about her experience. So, delivering w/ a midwife was always in the back of my head. I researched birthing centers in Phoenix and before I came across Babymoon, I came across another one. I called them and set up an appointment but the day of my appointment, the midwife cancelled due to her client going into labor. So, then I researched more and found Babymoon. It was all meant to be. My hubby and I started w/ a tour and then immediately after, we made the switch. It was the best decision of my life. I don't know where to begin. The education I got, the services, the love, the compassion, the support, everything. Throughout my pregnancy everything was great. I did see a few times ambulances there, it threw me off and I started worrying. You have to go into this open minded, labor is HARD! At least for me it was. As a matter of fact, at one time during labor, I thought I would have ended up going to the hospital via ambulance, but thankfully Maribeth was with me through the hardship and basically saved my whole birthing experience w/ her knowledge and education. I don't know what I would have done without her, I feel like I owe her SO much. Kimberly delivered my baby (change of shifts) and she was just as amazing. She knew exactly what to do when POST delivery didn't go as planned. Now that I had my baby came the HARDEST part. We took him home and he didn't come w/ instructions or a manual. Can you believe that? As first time parents we were in for a ride of our life. And, just when I though I was finished utilizing Babymoon, I found myself needed them more than ever! And, let me tell you, the support I have received postpartum has been incredible. I literally feel I could have failed without the amazing midwifes (and, Brandy their PA) at Babymoon. I remember two weeks postpartum, I was a mess, and Kathy spent so much time w/ me, educating me, supporting me, and everything in-between. The postpartum support was incredible, I literally don't know what I would have done without them, I truly don't. I even had a midwife, Kate, come to my house for a postpartum visit. It gets better - Now I have a baby, and I need a pediatrician. Look no further, because can I just tell you, when it came to baby, Brandy has gone above and beyond. She seriously provides the absolute best care for my son. My son was born perfect, so there is no need to do all these things that traditional/western medicine is trained to do. He's already perfect, and I love having a pediatrician by my side who values the choices my husband and I make for our son. Brandy also gave me amazing advice that I think saved me from going into a mental exhaustion when my son was colicky. I seriously am so thankful for Babymoon - I don't know where I would be if I had stuck w/ the "normal" hospital labor and delivery, I would have possibly still to this day been lost. read more

If you've decided to use a birth center, there is, in my mind, no other option. The team at Babymoon Inn goes above and beyond to make sure that what could be one of the scariest events transforms into the most positive, supportive, and loving events of your life. The office and exam rooms are beautifully maintained and feel warm. The colors and fabrics are a far cry from the traditional doctor's office. The birth center is just absolutely beautiful and cozy. The details matter, and when you are in labor, it's comforting to know that you chose this beautiful environment, right down to what's in the refrigerator and what's on the music playlist. The classes I took beforehand were taught by strong women with lots to great wisdom to share with someone like me, a total pregnancy noob. OH! That's how you put a diaper on! Oh! I had no idea about the stages of labor! Oh! Breastfeeding! (Yup, all of it was news to me.) During my birth, I had my doula, a nurse, a nurse's assistant, a midwife, and family surrounding me--all my choice. My family was able to hang out in the living room while I was in the bedroom laboring . . . Basically, everything that happened was my choice, based on what was safest for my baby. Following my birth, Babymoon Inn continued to be supportive. The help I received with lactation consultation was invaluable. And the Inn Mommies group meets regularly to answer those questions that just seem to keep coming, long after the birth of my child. What you choose, when you choose Babymoon, is community. I can't say enough good things about Babymoon Inn. I went here for my second baby and just loved the experience. I went to another birthing center for my daughter and loved the experience as well so I knew when we moved to Arizona that I wanted a birthing center for my second birth. Babymoon Inn blew me away with the care and individualized attention they gave me. They not only supported me throughout my pregnancy at my appointments but also have so many other ways to ensure a successful pregnancy and birth like chiropractic care, physical therapy, massage, yoga, mommy and baby classes, sibling classes and so much more. I loved my pregnancy experience and continue to go to classes and physical therapy after my baby was born. Babymoon Inn is the total package and so much more than a birthing center. After having the most horrible time with a regular OBGYN, my sister referred me here after she had my niece with them last November. I absolutely adore this place and have decided to move all aspects of my care here. My prenatal care with the midwives was amazing! There is woman care, family care, a chiropractor and wonderful massages! The cottage also sells a multitude of items created by local mommies. They offer glasses and support groups. I ended up having my daughter in the inn. She was a bathtub baby! It was unexpectedly quick, but the midwife Kimberly was amazing and so supportive. My daughter was born healthy and happy. I HIGHLY recommend this facility to anyone in the area looking for midwifery care. read more

Unsupportive, mean spirited, and greedy. For the few women who actually get to birth there maybe it's nice, but it seems like lately babymoon prefers to refer out to banner with Dr. Hervey, even when mom and baby are healthy. Imagine being 40 weeks pregnant with your first baby, being told that they want you to be induced despite twice weekly appointments and ultrasounds showing everything is on track and no real reason for it. They tried to schedule my induction but I wanted to wait a few days as I was feeling some changes. I let them, the hospital, the doula (who by the way never bothered to ask if I was doing okay and got paid for absolutely nothing) know that I wasn't ready to be induced. I got 18 phone calls in one day from babymoon about how disappointed they were (?!) That I didn't go to my "scheduled induction" and that they were dropping me as a client, even after they were prepaid cash. Imagine being in my shoes, all support gone for a choice that should be respected, especially in their field. They shamed me for wanting to give my baby a few extra days to show up. (Which he did shortly after, naturally and healthy) without any help or support from them. I was so stressed and disappointed that they would treat us this way after all of the prenatal visits and classes. Of course I would have done anything to ensure the safety of my baby and them insinuating otherwise is counterintuitive to their own philosophy, but here we are. You may as well go to the hospital anyway and get the typical experience. read more

BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL BIRTH CENTER! I like Babymoon Inn, and the staff seemed nice but they were unwilling to work with my insurance (even tho on the phone they said they were in network?) I don't like that there are so many midwives. Also, they only have ONE bathroom in the middle of two birth rooms. That totally worried me, because the gal who toured me said they have had a lot of moms have their baby at the same time... I delivered with another birth center, mainly because of the bathroom worry and having so many midwives. They also stated that I would labor at home with a doula until it was almost time to push... then I would come to the birth center and meet the midwife there, um but if I am paying for a birth center birth, not home then I want to LABOR there also! read more

I've waited until my classes, appointments, and billing were all complete to write a review, which was HARD! I've been anxious to share all the details of my wonderful experience! I knew I wanted a natural birth as soon as I found out I was pregnant, but it wasn't until I was about 22 weeks along that I finally visited Babymoon. I attended a tour with Janet and was immediately hooked! The main office is CLEAN!, has snacks & coffee (they clearly know how to love on preggo mamas!), toys for older kids along for an appointment, calendar of events, educational literature, herbs & various homeopathic remedies for sale...All the ladies present at the time were smiling and kind, acting very much excited that I was interested. I even got a hug :D The birthing suite is amazing!! I'd love to describe it but if you're reading this, do the tour to see for yourself! I'll say it had everything I could possibly dream of wanting or needing during labor (including snacks...lol). Here's the really important stuff: I received outstanding prenatal care. Scheduling was EASY. I never had a problem making an appointment that worked for my schedule and was able to meet with all the midwives (including Ellie, the midwife at St Joe's in case of transfer). Ultrasounds and some of the lab work is done at third party facilities, but this was never a problem, especially since it's only necessary a few times. All the vitamins suggested for me were great! I felt terrible longer than I needed to because I wasn't eating properly, and the midwives set me straight as soon as they knew! I had one instance of strange symptoms and was terrified to call in case I would be brushed off as paranoid and nervous, but the midwife on call was sympathetic and set up the necessary appointments to check out my concerns. There are multiple group educational classes that are great! I didn't make it to the last one because I scheduled it late and baby came early, but they were a great way for husband to participate in the pregnancy and social event for us. Additionally, the class series for Birth preparation is GREAT! The Lamaze series is taught by Diana and Heidi. I only had Diana as a teacher, and LOVED her balance between mainstream and attachment approaches. She aims to give you more tools in your toolbelt than you may need so that when the time comes you have resources and information to make the best choice. Regarding breastfeeding and baby sleep especially, her lessons came to mind over and over and over! We were given hand outs at the class for labor and newborn care, and seriously, when my water broke and first contractions started, the first thing I screamed for was my laminated labor cheat sheet I kept on the fridge! So helpful! It's my personality to read everything I can, and I did for pain management methods, but the class and support from midwives would likely have been sufficient. I am blessed to have had a textbook, uncomplicated birth. With that said, it was an amazing experience! I was excited to try all the various props, bath tub, shower, stools, etc to manage pain, but in the end, the only thing I really wanted was the midwife! She was so calm! Supportive! Confident! She knew what I needed at every turn! My poor husband ended up mostly useless, haha, but Kimberly Flake was magic! She helped me into the positions I needed to be in and empowered me all along the way. When baby was born, Babymoon staff gave me space. My husband, baby, and I laid around in peaceful skin to skin bliss for about 2 - 3 hours when baby was finally showing hunger cues. Baby and I had some issues breastfeeding that were immediately apparent and Kathy (who was there assisting Kimberly) worked with me as long as it took to feed him. She then gave me tools, a plan, a backup plan, a plan to ease engorgement, and a follow up appointment to ensure that baby was being fed and we were breastfeeding successfully. It's because of her immediate and persistent care and knowledge that our breastfeeding journey has been successful! Since birth, baby and I have been attending the weekly mom group and various other events. It's been so great to build a community with other women who are where I'm at! Babymoon works hard to foster relationships between families and offer safe spaces vent, cry, or ask for help. I'm very shy, but it's an open, comfortable, judgement free time where everyone has a chance to share. All I can say regarding the billing process is that it's been uneventful -- which is probably the best thing that could be said. I paid, it was received, no fuss! My baby is 4 months old as I write this review. I look forward to the social events we'll participate in and am already thinking about my next Babymoon baby! read more

The best medical care I ever received was at Babymoon Inn. We switched our care from a popular OB/hospital setting to Babymoon Inn and their incredible midwives. They believe in informed consent, which allows the expectant person to be involved in the decisions about their care, rather than being forced into protocols that are dictated by liability concerns. No matter when I went into labor, I knew that whichever midwife showed up would be a familiar face since I spent at least one prenatal visit with them. Also, I had a nurse and midwife onsite with me the entire time, vs an OBGYN who only arrives for the last part of labor. The midwives also offered wonderful breastfeeding support during my prenatal and postpartum visits, which contributed to our success in that dept. I have never left a review in my life but my experience at Babymoon Inn was so life changing I had to share my story. With my first child I did not enjoy any part of my experience (other than the fact I had my daughter.) I didn't like my obgyn, I was induced, I was basically tricked into an epidural, I was given an episiotomy even before I was told to push, and I was unable to breast feed due to lack of support and education. All of this pushed me towards an alternative route when I found out I was pregnant with my son. I had looked into natural birth many times throughout my first trimester. After having yet again another bad experience with an obgyn I felt hopeless. I had a friend suggest a birth center and immediately in my ignorance shrugged the idea off thinking to myself those types of places are for hippies. But as my pregnancy continued I was so unhappy I finally decided it wouldn't hurt to look into a birth center. I found Babymoon Inn online and scheduled a tour based on the amazing reviews. I went into the tour thinking to myself this is probably not going to be for me and I'm going to be stuck with another horrible experience in a hospital with a dr that doesn't care. So as soon as I walked through the door of Babymoon Inn for the tour I immediately thought wow this is a nice place but I still had my reservations. At the end of the tour I was holding back tears. Tears of happiness. I knew within the first 30 min I was "home" This was the place for me. I started care that next week and instantly fell in love with everyone at Babymoon Inn. The staff are some of the nicest people I know and now feel like I'm part of a family. I was able to take all of the educational classes and never once left a class with any questions. I only ever left the classes with knowledge and excitement of what was to come in the next several weeks. Fast forward to the labor and delivery. Most amazing experience of my life. I was so blessed by how much they did for me during labor. My doula even called her daughter to come to the birth center to watch my daughter while i was giving birth. I could not have asked for anything to go more smoothly. I felt so much love and support. The experience was truely empowering and life changing. I would give five stars for prenatal care and their post natal mommy meeting groups! It was all fantastic. The three stars is because I ended up transferring, and had a great hospital experience, but their role in this was lacking and in the end, I felt like they considered me less of a client because I delivered at the hospital. I felt very abandoned. That's my only disappointment, and I can only hope they've ironed out the kinks of helping transfer parents while still making them feel just like every other Babymoon mom. read more

I'm very fond of the Babymoon. We decided to go there for the birth of our second child after being very disappointed following the OB/hospital route with our first. My prenatal care with Babymoon was refreshing in comparison to the doctor visits I had before. The office is always warm and inviting, and I never waited for long for an appointment. In fact, if I was late or even really early they would find a way to accommodate me. I looked forward to each appointment I had there. I can't say that there weren't any issues. We did encounter a few disappointments along the way, but I believe that was bound to happen. One place cannot please every person all the time and mistakes can be made on both sides. What I can say is that after finding out that we weren't happy with some of our experience, the executive director went out of her way to understand what our concerns were and to rectify them. What it really comes down to, I think, is that this place runs on a group of incredible women who truly love their jobs and are passionate about empowering women before, during, and even after pregnancy. If you choose to take part in all they have to offer, they can easily become like another family for you, your partner, and your kids. More importantly, if you are looking for a community to laugh and cry with as you start/continue your journey through motherhood then this is definitely the place for you! I had my first baby at Babymoon Inn. Even though I transferred to Babymoon later (28 weeks) and was working at the time I was able to attend the Ready Set Series that is included in their birth package, get all of the reading material from the Facing your Fears classes I missed and was able to get my prenatal massage. The birth classes were so important to the success of my delivery and breastfeeding. My midwives were incredibly attentive! Gone were the short 5 minutes OB appointments where my doctor was too busy to give me her full attention. These appointments allowed me to address any and all of my concerns, to map out my birth plan and to release me from any fear I once had about labor. The administrative staff insured that I met with every midwife before the big day and that I had an appointment in the birthing house (with everyone that I wanted at my birth) to prepare. Every time I visited that offices everyone was friendly and accommodating. I was able to obtain a gap exception from my insurance (UHC). When the big day came I had amazing support from my birth team, and labored how I needed to to gently deliver my sweet baby at the birthing house. I had an hour of skin to skin with my baby before I had to transfer to St. Joes from complications that would have occurred no matter where I birthed. I know that now that Babymoon's care extends to St. Joes, but at my birth it did not. However, my midwife stayed with me my entire transfer ensuring that I was in the right hands at the hospital and that I felt supported. When it was time I was able to return to Babymoon for my followup appointment and 2 week postpartum party. I connected with like-minded Moms at the Cuddlers group on a weekly basis where I received all the support I needed to gain confidence in all the newness that a newborn brings. Babymoon has been an integral part of my past year and a half and I wouldn't have been able to have the delivery I wanted and the community I have now without their support. I will continue to receive my women's health checks at Babymoon and seek out their care for any future babies I may have. read more

This group of professionals offer superior midwifery services! They go above and beyond the call of duty, offering many extras for their ladies and their families!! They asked my to come by and teach infant massage today, which I did, and was impressed with their facility as well. I delivered my second son there and loved every second of it.They have education on both natural and medicinal needs as well as take the time needed to invest in your physical and emotional health. I love this place! We fist discovered it after searching for accredited birth centers when i was pregnant with my first baby in 2013. The staff and atmosphere are the best. Upon taking the tour my husband and I knew we would love to birth there. The classes alone made my husband and I feel so informed and confident in the the birthing process and postpartum care. The staff just seems so excited about birth and we never felt rushed during our prenatal appointments. When it came to birthing at the birth center that was awesome as well. We were greeted with welcome arms by my Midwife Pam White and my doula Dianne Hamre. They helped me labor and took great care of me. The postpartum care was so great and they really make sure mom and baby are looked after. We started our Babymoon in journey pregnant back in 2013 and are continuing it to this day by attending their classes and gatherings at The Nest. I will try not to be extremely wordy here...it will be hard since I think so highly of this place and the staff and the experience they provided for me during my first pregnancy. The ladies there are so kind, sweet, and personable. I felt like they held my hand the entire pregnancy, which was a good feeling for a FTM. They offer some really awesome classes there! My Husband and I learned SO MUCH and connected with some really nice people, some of which we're still friends with today. My Husband appreciated the snacks :) They were on top of my care and kept me informed the entire time. I never felt like I wasn't in the loop about what tests should be ran during which weeks of pregnancy or anything. Labor was exactly what I wanted. My midwife came out to our house first to check how far along I was dilated. We then left for Babymoon Inn! and when we got there, the room was nice and dim and the tub was filling up. Hubby started his labor playlist and for the next 3 hours I labored in a peaceful, calm, and supportive environment. They kept tabs on baby throughout labor. I felt safe and supported. They knew my birthplan and what I wanted. My Husband caught our baby at 8:18pm :) We have video and photos from the whole thing! We had an invaluable experience and I'm so grateful to the Midwives and Doulas and the other staff. Care doesn't stop though once you have your baby...I went to the Mommy classes they offered after I had my Son and was able to get questions answered and connect with other moms and get the babies together for floor time. Babymoon gave me an amazing experience right from the beginning. They are well organized from financing to the classes they offer to the delivery process. I felt so empowered with the knowledge they provided to me and my partner, and I'm so thankful I chose Babymoon to take me through this adventure. The staff and esp. the midwives are AMAZING and made me feel so comfortable and confident with the entire process. Someone was always available to answer any questions, and they never made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. They took time to get to know me and my family, and never failed at making us feel special when we walked in the door. My partner especially loved that he was so involved and encouraged/empowered throughout the entire process. Not like he experienced with his first child in the hospital. He even got to catch his daughter and got skin to skin time with her at the nest. From the moment out daughter was born she didn't leave our sight, and barely left our arms (to weigh and measure her was the only time, and was done right next to us). Both of my babies are Babymoon babies so that in itself should say it all. The beauty of Babymoon Inn is the community of gentle, loving and natural minded mamas I am proud to call my tribe. I transferred from an OB mid pregnancy with my first and it was night and day. Belly checks felt more like social visits and I could always count on my questions being answered and then some. The birth experience both times was supportive, positive, safe, and personal. The education is extensive and well rounded. The best part? The after love and care you receive from the midwives, nurse Douglas, Babymoon staff, and the mommies you meet at The Nest is the icing on the cake. I am still under their care, and enjoying seeing the environment and people there. They have all sorts of services (IV treatments, chiro, massage, holistic family care), but as I am nearing the end of my pregnancy, I think the one thing I felt lacking was simple classes on baby topics. I have to go outside of them for cloth diaper lessons, how to install a car seat correctly, typical ins and outs of first time mommies. You may think that's normal, but coming from a birthing center with so many services (mostly to post birth mothers) they would have some more in house to prepare for baby. I'd like to feel confident BEFORE the baby comes, not attend groups AFTER. Still, staff is kind and apologize/try to make up for time waiting if they run late. read more

My journey to finding Babymoon Inn actually Started at Banner Estrella where I met Amey Woodward-Clark. She was a labor and delivery nurse there who hosted a Mommy group. I fell in love with all my girlfriends in the group. When Amey decided to move to Babymoon, I and many of my friends from the group followed Amey's lead. We knew it had to be someplace special if Amey supported it. Amey helped me through my breast feeding journey with my first child 2 1/2 years ago. She was, and still is, open and honest. She is caring and compassionate. She is what every woman should have as a IBCLC. When I became pregnant with my second child I got back in touch with Babymoon Inn at MommyCon. I talked with Diane Hamre -a doula at Babymoon Inn. Even before I hired Diane she was patient and kind to me. She helped me to achieve the birth I was so desperate to have. With Diane's support I had a wonderful hospital labor and delivery. I'm so great full for the knowledge I learned in the Birth Journey Class thought by Diane. Once I had my son we were having feeding difficulties. Amey was there for me and diagnosed his lip and tongue tie. She provided excellent information and resources for me to make it through and continue to breastfeed my now 4 month old. I now attend a mommy group called Inn Mommies at Babymoon Inn. Even though I was not able to deliver my second child at Babymoon (due to a VBAC) Amey Woodward-Clark and Diane Hamre were amazing women to work with on my journey. This is an amazing community. I actually gave birth at another birthing center (also a wonderful experience), but the groups and classes at Babymoon Inn have been really wonderful. We've been to the Cuddlers group and taken infant massage and mommy and me yoga. So fun! My experience at babymoon was phenomenal and unforgettable. Everything that they had to offer was enjoyable; the checkups, their midwives, the classes, even coming into the office, everyone always made you feel at home. The office is very welcoming with a casual waiting area. They always have yummy, healthy snacks in the back. Along with tea, coffee, water and other drinks available. The staff is amazing, everyone is so friendly and helpful. They treat you like you belong. I always felt safe there and knew that we were always in good care. The birth center was exactly what I was looking for. It was private, comfortable and had everything I needed for my birth. I am so pleased with my experience at Babymoon Inn Birth Center and would absolutely recommend it if birth centers are right for you. read more
