The food was excellent! The only dish we didn't really hit the spot was the Moroccan cigars. It had th texture but the flavor wasn't there. The rest was very good. The service was excellent' The ambiance was inviting and clean. Downside is that only 2 bathrooms. Portions of the food are very little. We'll most likely come for more food. read more

This location offers outdoor dining and indoor dining, however it is a lot smaller than most of their locations. My server Ferris was fantastic as per usual and recommended me a carajillo to try which was great. I recommend their Asian pear and Brie pizza and Mediterranean style corn, those are my go tos and never disappoint. read more

Solid tapas style restaurant, super fun to try a variety of different plates. I came with a party of 4 to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was very easy to make a reservation online. We sat indoors and loved the indoor outdoor concept and towards the end of the meal, they lit the candles and dimmed the lights for a more romantic ambience. We ordered 9 plates to share, which was the perfect amount of food and left us stuffed. All the plates comes out as they are made, which ensures the food tastes its best. Smoked mushroom pizza (5/5) - so delicious and love the amount of mushrooms! Would 100% order this again. Glazed pork belly (3/5) - nothing special, very small to share, would pass next time. Octopus (2/5) - tasty but not worth the price, disappointed that it only came with 7 little bite sized pieces of octopus. Shrimp ceviche (4/5) - very fresh, amazing appetizer and paired so well with the lime chili chips. Stuffed mushroom (5/5) - soo good and the mushrooms were extremely juicy! Burrata caprese (4/5) - loved the pesto that came with this, nice soft baguette. Brussels sprouts (5/5) - perfect amount of caramelization, delicious sauce, and big portion size. Tripoline pasta (3/5) - nothing memorable, very small portion, needs more flavor and maybe some protein. Sea bass (4/5) - cooked perfectly, paired well with the shishito pepper and corn. Overall, solid food and friendly service. The restaurant validates for 2 hours at Americana for parking. I also appreciated that our server brought out a delicious complimentary bread pudding with vanilla ice cream to make our birthday girl feel extra special! read more

Ana was stellar - she's highly attentive and made sure our entire group of 12 didn't miss a single item or drink and her pacing was masterclass. She remembered allergies and preferences. I came here a few times and the food used to be delicious, I dont know what happened but this time every dish we got was very salty and just not good. We ordered a couple non~alcoholic drinks which was very pricey and taste bad, I would not recommend. For the amount we paid, this place is not worth it. Also, it was really hot and humid inside even with the AC. Probably not a good idea to go during the summer. 3 stars for the previous times I went, when the food was good. read more

We had talked about coming here for months and finally made it in. The outdoor dining is a plus if the weather is nice and there are heaters in case it gets cold. The olives were some of the best I've had and the fries and Brussels sprouts were some of the best we've had. The chef's salmon was okay, but I found it a bit soft for my taste and even with the crusting on the exterior it was a bit too squishy. The service was decent, but they were busy so expect a bit of a delay or gaps in attentiveness. I would absolutely come back for cocktail and tapas, but if you are truly starving plan to order several items. read more

Came here for HH and had a great time. Kasarlina gave us great suggestions for food and drinks. We tried the tree shadow and white lotus, highly recommend it. We also had the burrata, sea bass, stuffed mushrooms, and Asian pear pizza. Agnes came by our table was very sweet in offering us dessert since it was our first time there. Anibal was our server and he was incredible. We had someone with a gluten allergy and we've never experienced a restaurant that took so much care into each dish and ensuring that person didn't have anything with gluten in it. This might be my new favorite restaurant in LA! I like that the items are tapas-style but reasonably priced compared to Spanish tapas restaurants. The burrata caprese and stuffed mushrooms were delicious and would definitely order again, but the Mediterranean corn and chicken schnitzel were literally some of the best bites of food i've had in a very long time!! Bailey was such a fantastic server, I highly recommend sitting in her section. She is positive, friendly, knowledgeable and so lovely to talk to! We will definitely be coming back, or trying some of the other locations!! read more

Decided to go for lunch at Bacari, the drinks and food was delicious, especially Barramundi and Mac n cheese! Nice ambiance, open and fresh, but what put this experience over the top was our server Kassarlina . The service Kassarlina gave us was unmatched and attentive. We were greeted with smiles and suggestions that made our experience unforgettable. No rush, pleasant short conversations. We tried what was Kassarlina said was delicious, AND EVERYTHING WAS!!! We were not disappointed! Kassarlina ensured we had everything we needed and made the lunch feel special. I have never been to this restaurant before, but I will definitely be back and bring more family. I can see why Kassarlina is part of the Bacari team. Good job Bacari! read more

Pros: cocktail drinks, nice date night ambiance by heaters outside, fresh gluten free bread was soft Cons: Scallops were tough to cut through. Foodrunners were lost all night, they kept coming to our table with random drinks/food thats not ours, we even watched the manager bring our food to multiple different tables before it got to us. Also that manager wasn't friendly. She definitely needs to work on her customer service skills. read more

I've been coming here for years, and I've celebrated my birthday here twice. Every single visit has been an unmatched experience. The drinks are fantastic, the food is even better, and the best cake is hands down the best. Seriously, don't skip this dessert! Today, Preet was our server, and they provided exceptional service. They were attentive, friendly, and made our experience even more enjoyable. I had friends visiting from out of town on their very first day in LA, and I wanted to make sure they experienced one of the best restaurants the city has to offer. This was the obvious choice. The quality, the value for the price, the atmosphere, and the variety of dishes you get to try are truly unmatched. This place has never disappointed me, and I'll definitely keep coming back. Tonight was our second time here, with the first being around 8 years ago when they first opened, so I felt like an updated review was necessary! We had a wonderful experience this second time, just like the first! We were seated promptly on a busy Friday evening. I love that they have expanded their seating area to outside since the inside area isn't that big. Our waiter was wonderful. We ordered 5 things to share: watermelon salad, octopus, vegan pizza, pork belly, and shawarma tacos. Everything was so unique and delicious! The chef definitely knows what he's doing. So many unique combinations of ingredients that work so well together. The pork belly was especially delicious and the sauce on the shawarma tacos was out of this world! The price is super reasonable for the quality of food and overall experience. Feels similar to a Michelin star experience! Highly recommend! read more

What a fun concept! It seems that community is the theme here. The servers emphasized that everyone works together as a team, and the food here is served tapas style, and they encourage sharing. Our servers recommend 2 items per person to make a meal. The prices are high for the portion sizes (with the exception of the pizzas), but we were splurging. My family ordered 8 items and it was more than enough for us since the pizzas were a decent size. Most everything was seasoned and tasted great, although the family didn't really enjoy the glazed pork belly. Most memorable for me were the shawarma tacos, bacari fries and the Asian Pear & Brie pizza. Hubby and I ordered some adult beverages and they were very good! There is seating indoors, but most tables are al fresco on the sidewalk. Parking validation is available for the Americana lot. read more

Absolutely LOVE this place!! Bacari GDL was an amazing experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was super cozy and perfect for a Sunday afternoon outing. My husband and I decided to try the 90 minutes open bar and we were super pleased with the service we received from Vince , Anna, and Olivia. They did an amazing job. Our drinks came out quickly and our servers made us feel well taken care of. I would definitely recommend their side order of French fries , we ordered 3 orders and they were absolutely perfect each time. Bacari never disappoints! My fave part aside from the delicious food that fits most diets (keto, pescatarian and vegetarian even vegans lol) is the amazing customer service. My girlfriend and I came here on a whim and I have to say it was totally worth it. The chilaquiles were so good that I wish I would've ordered it 3 times. The mediterranean street corn was just as good and even had a kick to it. The egg pizza was intriguing as well, it didn't blow us away but it was still pretty good. They do, they also have a dog menu ( it is simple though, either burger patty or chicken breast). You have to ask them for the menu. And our waitress was so nice that she brought a bowl of water for our dog.

After a wonderful lunch date with my wife at Raffi's Place (please read my review and thank me later) in Glendale, I decided to look for the perfect dessert. After scouting several nearby locations, I decided I was in the mood for a great cinnamon roll. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café looked like the place that would deliver the experience I was seeking. SDLBC is listed as being in Glendale, but it's located in the historic Old Town of Montrose. That's beside the point; I only mention it because there are additional places to explore just up the street. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a selection left, including the highly sought-after cinnamon roll. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly, and I immediately asked if that was all the pastries they had. He said yes. I contemplated leaving because of the nonexistent cinnamon roll, but I didn't want to be rude, so I decided to give the bakery a try since we were already there. So, we basically took half of what remained behind the glass display case: a Peach Almond Croissant, a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant, an Almond Croissant, and then my curiosity focused on a few lonely-looking pastries that were unfamiliar to my discerning eyes. I asked the gentleman what they were, and he replied with something that sounded completely foreign to me: Kouign-Amann. Kouign-Amann (pronounced queen ah-MAHN) is a traditional pastry from the region of Brittany, France. It is often considered one of the richest pastries in the world because it is made with just a few simple ingredients in generous proportions: bread dough, butter, and sugar. Figuring we needed a few more sweets for the road, we took all the remaining Kouign-Amanns. Two were the traditional version, and the other two were filled with crème and blueberry jam. We also ordered a Café Americano and a Café Mocha. While we waited for our drinks, I simply couldn't wait any longer. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I eagerly opened my gift and dug right into the Kouign-Amann. Hesitantly, I tore off a tiny piece with my fingers, expecting nothing extraordinary, and instantly gave birth to a brand-new experience that exploded in my mouth. The crisp exterior gave way to the soft, flaky center, followed by waves of what tasted like delicate honey. I tore off another piece and shared it with my wife. One look at her eyes told me she wanted more. By the time our drinks were ready, we had devoured one of the Kouign-Amanns and confessed to the gentleman behind the counter that we had just experienced pure ecstasy in the form of a pastry. Kouign-Amann is, in fact, one of the richest pastries in the world, so don't let the unfamiliar name keep you from trying one. The Café Americano and the Café Mocha were also exceptionally well prepared. With everything that's happening in the world these days, a simple yet profound experience like this reminded me how wonderful life can still be. Like Arnold said... "I'll be back." Enjoy!

Okay, you're probably looking at the price per plate ratio, but please don't sweat it because the food is fire. This coming from a guy who values value. Breakdown time. The Food: 9/10 Charcuterie - definitely go with the 5 selection (as opposed to 3) because you're going to want to try each of the perfectly textured cheeses. Also, the capers are a great little touch. Lamb Burger - cooked exactly to order, and the tahini sauce on top complements the flavors of the lamb exquisitely. Mouth watering to remember. Pork Belly - tender and aptly sauced, they provide exactly what you want in pork belly. This one in particular could have upped the portion size a smidge, but that's the downside of the restaurant as a whole. Brussles Sprouts - cooked to the perfect level of crispness, and the creme fraiche was an awesome change from the usual balsamic. The only downside was that the sprouts near the bottom of the bowl got a little drowned in it. (I love sauce, so I didn't mind - but if you aren't a sauce lover, I warned you.) These four dishes and our wine came quickly, went quickly, and did not disappoint at all... so we got one more. Bacon-wrapped Dates - we pushed our luck. Before you order these little babies, realize that they are VERY full-bodied dates. That, combined with the melted cheeses inside, produced a very sticky/chalky mouthful. The date flavor overwhelmed the cheeses and bacon. The Spot: 9/10 The service is quick, attentive (but not annoyingly so,) and friendly. Reread that sentence because I want to say it twice. They really were awesome. The setting was at once inviting, trendy, and tasteful - but like its portion sizes, inside is a bit small. Overall, it's a cool (but pricey) spot with delicious, smallish portions. Come here for an occasion, or when you're in the mood for legit food. Do not come here to stuff your face. Our waiter, whose name was Jeff (which we had to hunt down by calling the restaurant because we had forgotten his name and we were determined to write this review and to shout him out) went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was exceptional. What made the service truly outstanding was the genuine care and support he showed towards my friend, who was clearly having a rough day. To our surprise, towards the end of our meal, Jeff presented us with a complementary dessert. This small gesture of kindness not only added a delightful touch to our evening but also served as a reminder of the exceptional service we experienced throughout the night. Oh Bacari GDL what a delight! I went solo mission but I wanted to have my taste buds recreated from moments past where I had the best tapas style food. Rainbow Beet Salad with whipped burrata as a starter slash salad with fresh micro-greens obviously delicious of course. I was able to get two house draft beers tasters which were delightful the Blonde and IPA and I can't remember the can beer I had both it was either LA based maybe Santa Barbara or Hawthorn which was a good ABV 7% soft and light. Then my main dish was my favorite I forgot to say I'm semi-biased but I did work at the Bacaro LA prior too it being a Bacari West Adam's...the main dish I had was a roasted chicken on top of a parm risotto cake and then sitting in a bed of lemon, capper, fresh jalapeño, and butter sauce that is delightful. My absolute favorite from my favorite Renowned Chef of Los Angeles , Chef Lior Hillel, who has created the most exquisite menu tapas style at all the Bacari locations the last being their Barcari Sunset Junction that has recently opened up. I was able too speak to a table over that was super sweet and explained too them the beginnings of the LA close to USC location and recommend 2 of their dishes that had the fresh sauce that they have bottled up at Whole Foods which would be the Noa's "Chipotle Sauce" and the Brussels with "Pomegranate Sauce!" There's also a third sauce I can't recall but all 3 of them are at Whole Foods. Staff accommodations, politeness and courteousness was very 5 out of 5 amazing! We chose this restaurant for our wedding dinner, and it was absolutely perfect! Booking and reserving a table for 18 people was incredibly easy, they didn't require a deposit, which was a nice touch. The prices are very fair, and their menu offers a wide range of options, accommodating dietary restrictions and nut allergies effortlessly. I recently visited this restaurant again after having a great first experience, but unfortunately, this time was very disappointing. I brought my mom, hoping to share the same good food and service I had before, but things felt very different. When we arrived, I asked the hosts if there was availability for two, and the two women at the front, one white and the other either Hispanic or Indian were extremely dismissive and rude. They told us it would be about a 40-minute wait, so we agreed and left our information. Even after waiting over an hour with no text, we went back to check, and they still hadn't seated us. It wasn't until another host, who was Asian like myself, noticed and nudged the others to seat us that we were finally given a table. This experience made me feel that the initial hosts were not treating us fairly, and I couldn't help but feel that their behavior might have been racially motivated. On top of that, the food was not as good as it was during my first visit, the Brussels sprouts were overly salty, and overall the quality just wasn't the same. I left feeling very disappointed and saddened that such unprofessional and possibly discriminatory behavior would happen at a restaurant I used to enjoy. I would not recommend this place to people of color, as our experience made us feel unwelcome. read more

LOVE Bacari GDL! I personally love tapas style food because who doesn't love a little bit of everything? The staff is awesome and so is the food and their drinks. I've been here about 4 times already and I haven't been disappointed one bit. The ambiance is great, it can get a little loud due to tables being really close together for a small space, but it's the perfect spot for dinner and drinks or even for lunch. Their cauliflower dish is so good, as well as the mac and cheese. I had the scallops recently which was pretty damn delicious. The scallops were cooked to perfection, not chewy at all, it was the perfect texture. One small thing however, I did have the margherita pizza recently and it just had a little bit too much salt, which is completely an easy fix for the cooks. The star is for the food and for the person who took our drink order. While our server was attentive at first, he never once checked on our meal when we were seated in between two tables that he checked up on repeatedly. While he personally cleared our plates, he never uttered a word to us, while he chitchatted away with the guests on the left and right. I ordered Brussels sprouts, which never came, while the table next to us (who ordered after) got theirs first. I don't know what the deal was or if he was racist since I was in a room full of white people, but screw that guy. My first experience was good, but after this I definitely won't be coming back.
