    Mac & Cheese with bacon

I was really impressed with the service, especially from one of the managers. She truly made a memorable experience for my friends and I. We had a reservation at 10:30 AM, and at this time it was still relatively slow. There is not one server assigned to your table because they work as a team and that made everything go by so fast and smooth. There was this one server who gave us the vibe of not wanting to help us, but we did not let that ruin our day. She made us hand her the empty plates rather than walking around the table like the other servers. She also snatched them out of our hands so aggressively. We got to try a variety of foods which included: glazed pork belly, french toast, mac and cheese with bacon, bacari fries, and moroccan cigars. We also got the bottomless mimosas/sangria to drink ($35/pp). The glazed pork belly was deliciously marinated and tender, the mac and cheese was cheesy and the truffle added additional flavor, the french toast was good, but on the soggier side, and the fries were your basic fries but the house sauce really put it together with a spicy kick and an egg to finish it off. The restaurant is tapas style so they recommend you share amongst everyone at the table. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Park at the In n Out structure for free parking, or pay the Americana parking fee :) I must say, I have been to other locations in the past, and it's sad to say inflation is real because the prices on the menu have raised and the menu has been moved around :(

Dinner with a friend at Bacari and the food did not disappoint! We shared the skirt steak, charred broccoli drizzled with a spicy and delicious sauce, Brussels sprouts that were amazing, and the oyster mushrooms were seriously to die for. Definitely my favorite! The service was great and they made us feel like royalty. The place has a cool, fun vibe, but we sat outside on the patio and it did get a little loud with cars speeding by. Other than that, we had a great time. Good food, great service and even better company. Definitely a fun spot to check out!f. FYI, don't forget to take your parking stuff so you can get it validated.

Okay, TL,DR? 10/10. All plates. Decor is great for a date day/night, but after becoming sober, my new vice is food and I just found my new favorite restaurant because every single dish I got was a hit. I got help from Agnes which gave me recommendations and the food was so good that I forgot to take a picture because I was enjoying it too much. Grab whatever dish you kinda like and you will end up liking it. Hope you get lucky and get Agnes helping you out because she is amazing and treated us like we were best friends. Can't wait to come back

Another excellent experience here. High quality food and friendly staff. Olivia was so knowledgeable about the menu, she convinced us to try something we hadn't had before. Great recommendations!

This is soooo addicting. Especially because the portions sizes are perfect for me to share with friends and not feel heavy. I can't stop thinking about the pork belly with scallions that they have. Love the lemon with it too. I am getting more than one next time. The pear Brie pizza was delicious especially cause I'm a Brie with a pear die-hard fan. Great if you split with 3 people, 2 slices each. I also always love their broccoli because I think there's spicy mayo in it

Believe it or not it was our first time at any Bacari. It was a nice night out and thought of going for happy hour. Hostess was very nice and friendly seated us by our request to sit outside. Preet was our waitress and she was very nice, professional, hardworking and very polite. We ordered Bacari beer and cocktail & mushrooms, sea bass and fries. Everything was delicious served hot & Preet was so nice to treat us with Date cake OMG IT WAS AMAZING CAKE WITH ICE CREAM AND CARAMEL. Beautiful outdoor seating at the Americana ambiance is always fun.

Had an amazing date night in Glendale and stumbled upon Bacari because it was so lively, even on a Sunday evening! Now we understand why because the food, the service, and the ambiance made for a lovely dinner. Our favorite thing about this restaurant is that it's tapas style, so you get more variety. They recommend 2-3 small plates per person. Everything we ordered was so tasty: Sea Bass, Scallops, Lamb Kebab (add the pita!), Mushroom Pizza and the Rainbow Beets. For the pizza, make sure to ask for red pepper and honey on the side. It's so good! Only thing I would skip is bread pudding for dessert. It was not bad, but something we would not order again. Overall, wonderful place for a date night or group dinner. Our server Jeff took great care of us and made our evening very pleasant. They also do parking validations when you park at Americana at the Brand.

The food is always so good and consistent across different locations. Came for the first time to this location on a hot summer day and didn't realize most of the tables are actually outside. It's located on the edge of the Americano.

Came back to try the other items on the menu I didn't order the last time. -Flat iron steak - cooked just right -Noah's Cauliflower - you want to mix it with salad underneath. We also combined it with the lamb hummus and used the pita - VERY GOOD this way. -Sea Bass- loved and would definitely order again. Great balance with the grilled veggies. -Double chocolate - would NOT order again. Tasted like they used a pre-mix in the microwave. Some parts were moist, while the crusty parts were inedible and hard to chew. Looked enticing though. -Vanilla ice cream with the honey and walnuts were a great combo. This visit was an 8 out of 10 for me. Enjoy.

Had a wonderful experience at Bacari GDL! The atmosphere is great, the small plates are creative and full of flavor, and the service is always outstanding from start to finish. Drink of choice: bacarita. Shareable plates: rainbow beets, shawarma tacos, cauliflower, street corn, fried chicken sliders. Highly recommend for a great dining experience in Glendale!

I have always wanted to visit Bacari while strolling through the Glendale mall, so we finally decided to give it a try. While a couple of items truly stood out, overall I'd rate the experience around 3/5. Before talking about the food, I have to mention our server Phil , he was exceptionally warm, sweet, and friendly. The dishes he recommended ended up being some of the better ones we tried, and the service overall was honestly 10/10. Standout Dish - Sea Bass (5/5) I would genuinely come back just for this. The fish, topped with corn and vegetables, was absolutely phenomenal and easily the highlight of the meal. Stuffed Mushrooms (3/5) Very smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture, but nothing particularly memorable flavor-wise. Mujadara (3/5) Simple rice and lentils dish. Not bad at all, just nothing special. Green Falafel (3/5) Decent, but not something I'd specifically recommend. Brussels Sprouts (2/5) Usually one of our favorite appetizers elsewhere because of the sauces and garnishes, but this version felt too bland. Margherita Pizza (2/5) This is normally the safest menu option anywhere, so this one was a bit disappointing. Dessert : Best Cake & Malabi (5/5) Thankfully, the meal ended on a high note. Both desserts were absolutely worth it :) Overall, I might return to try more dishes, mainly because that sea bass was truly excellent. The food was a mix of hits and misses, but the amazing service definitely made the experience better.

Let me just say that this place is great. The food is remarkably tasty. The atmosphere is divine and prestige. But the service!! This is where I really have to tell you that this place is top notch. My friend and I ordered and we had a multiple amount people assuring us a great experience and we did have one. We had our waters filled, our plates replenished, extra napkins when needed drinks delivered fast and empty's taken away asap. However I must say that the manager Agnus made the night. She came to us and was there for us and attentive when her servers got busy and made the experience even more special! She was nice, professional and down to earth as well. This is what a great restaurant is all about. Great service, great food and without a doubt great leadership!! Will definitely be back. Oh, and try the Moroccan cigars! They're great!

Service and food was amazing. Our server was sweet and really friendly. I really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich, full of flavor and really good. For the kale salad if you don't love a lot of dressing ask for it on the side. Overall loved the ambiance outside and happy hour is from 3pm-6pm!

Ask the Community - Bacari GDL

Do they decorate for Christmas time?

We don't necessarily decorate Bacari GDL, but the Americana does lots of Christmas decorating throughout the shops! The large Christmas tree is right around the corner from Bacari GDL!

Is this place loud at night?

It depends. If you're doing outdoor seating... it's loud, but manageable. You can still hold a conversation with the person in front of you. This is why I like this location over the Sherman Oaks one. It's smaller, but it's a little less loud and…

Does the place have AC? Or only on the inside portion of the restaurant?

The front of the restaurant stays open to the street - but it remains cool inside. There's no AC outside, but there is a cool Glendale breeze, with covered tables.

Where is the best place to park?

They have 2hr parking at the Americana

What are the odds of snagging a table on Mother's Day without a reservation?

Slim to none. It's a very popular spot.

Does the resturant validate the valet parking?

    Yes they do!

Are the prices really this cheap? 10$ for the petit filet?

Yes, but you do know that these are smaller portions (Tapas)? So you're not getting a full filet...it's more like a few slices of the filet. - hope this helps. 😌

Do you allow dogs on the patio?

They do, they also have a dog menu ( it is simple though, either burger patty or chicken breast). You have to ask them for the menu. And our waitress was so nice that she brought a bowl of water for our dog.

What time is happy hour? Is it only available in the Bar?

Happy hour is Monday - Friday from 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm. It's available in the entire restaurant!

Do you have a kids menu?

    Yes we do!

What is your brunch days and hours?

Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 am - 3:00 pm

    Do you make reservations? I didn't see a link.…

Damian, Thanks for reaching out. Yes, we do take reservations. You can always give us a call to…

Is there live music on Saturdays?

Hi Kamilla, Unfortunately we do not have live music now but we will be providing it around spring early summer. We’re looking for something that’s going to add or compliment our atmosphere.…

The restaurant looked pretty upscale so I wasn't sure it was the best option for us. When we went inside, it was reassuring that we could see a lot of families. I guess because I went in with zero expectations, I was pleasantly surprised. The service overall was pleasant. They had a kids menu, which was also nice. The food was not overpriced and the truffle rigatoni with sausage that the waiter recommended was fantastic. That was actually what my husband ordered. I wish I had taken the waiter's rec! My seafood pasta was also pretty good and I cleared the plate. My 3 kids were happy and ordered pizza, chicken fingers, and Mac n cheese. Overall, I would come back here. I was reading this page and saw mixed reviews, so I decided to try it with my son and make my own determination. They have no parking but thankfully we found a spot on the side street. The restaurant is located on the ground level of an apartment building. They also have outdoor seating, but we sat inside. One restroom each for men/women (and super clean). We walked in and got a pleasant greeting from Mia. She was HANDS DOWN the best part of this experience and provided stellar customer service. She is so young and has a bright future ahead of her. Mia treated us with genuine kindness and was a pleasure to talk to during our dinner. She made sure we were well taken care of and our orders were to our exact specifications. This restaurant is very lucky to have someone as good as her working there. For our appetizers, we got the Cesar Salad ($17), Parmesan on the side, and Bruschetta ($17). I also asked Mia if they bring complimentary bread to the table and she said they do, upon request. She asked if we wanted olive oil or butter and I chose butter. My son and I both enjoyed the Bruschetta and thought it tasted very good. The bread was nicely toasted and the tomatoes were seasoned well. It was also a good portion, easily shareable between 2-3 people. The salad wasn't our favorite and we've definitely had better at other restaurants. The lettuce didn't taste too fresh and the dressing wasn't really that good. The portion size was good, though. For my entrée, I got the Spicy Rigatoni ($22) but I asked for it to be light on the spice and added shrimp (+$12). It tasted fine, nothing really to write home about. I had to ask Mia to microwave it for a minute because it wasn't hot. My son ordered the Chicken Parmigiana ($23) but asked for the chicken to be grilled instead of breaded. He said he enjoyed his dish and the tomato sauce had a good amount of garlic in it. For dessert, Mia was kind enough to bring out a complimentary Key Lime Cheesecake since she found out my son is celebrating his birthday in a few days. She was seriously impeccable. Honestly, the place is just really drab and boring. There isn't much decor and it feels like a slightly elevated diner that serves beer and wine. It was a Friday night and there was no one in there/no pickup orders. We were there from about 7:30pm-10pm when they closed and only 3 other parties came in. There is no music playing, which makes the atmosphere even more drab and lifeless. Its also super cold in there and I asked Mia to adjust the AC and even after she did, it was still cold. It's not an upbeat type of place at all but the food is decent and Mia's service is the best part. She herself is 10/5 stars, but for my overall experience, I'll stick with 4 stars this time.

I appreciate her taking the time to get back to us and being so candid and self-effacing. We were given a complimentary garlic cheese bread to start and ordered a New Haven Clam Pizza and a Fettucine Alfredo with Chicken. The garlic cheese bread was just okay; the inside wasn't too tasty, but it did look very good... I was disappointed that this didn't live up to the potential; aesthetically it looked very good with a golden brown top lightly sprinkled with cheese. The Fettucine Alfredo with Chicken is quite the staple, and it was pretty tasty - the pasta cooked to perfection. The cream sauce was also very good. The large New Haven Clam Pizza was a surprise for me; it was a combination that worked, somehow - first time for me, for sure. I wasn't sure what to think of the taste, but it was good with the balsamic sauce that was included. I finished 3 slices and packed the rest to go, disappointed that it didn't come with the unused fig sauce. We enjoyed both along the wall at a booth that was dimly lit. Overall, I wouldn't rank this is high or low but definitely could have been better, and dessert confirmed this. We had the Butterscotch Budino, and it was everything a kid would've liked - a pudding layered in a centimeter of caramel syrup. I only ate a spoonful, and the second spoon was difficult. Paying was easy once a server was flagged down, and we were able to split the bill, too. After paying, the server didn't bring the pizza that was packed away unless asked. (Maybe I should've checked for the sauce here, too, just in case...) The real damage, though, was either the pizza, the fig sauce, or the caramel syrup, because my throat was gone within the next few days. While I did enjoy the ambiance, I unfortunately couldn't say the same for the food. This is going on the list of "not for me" :(

The experience is solid old-school Italian exactly as you would expect; the interior, from the booths and tables to the decor, hasn't changed in over 50 years. This place holds deep personal significance for me. My parents used to come here, and we visited often with my stepfather when he was alive. I have great family memories tied to this space. Our meal started traditionally with a bread basket served with cold butter. Because I was saving my appetite for a food charity event later that night, I stuck with the antipasto salad, while my mom and sisters enjoyed the chicken parmigiano, chicken piccata, and veal parmigiana. The food quality remains high, and the service was great. We enjoyed quick, polite service from a server who looked after us well. It is a wonderful spot for anyone looking for a nostalgic, quality meal in a setting that feels frozen in time.

From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcomed. Their customer service is excellent , kind, and attentive throughout the entire evening. When I made the reservation, I included a note saying that we were celebrating a special anniversary and requested that after dinner they bring one spumoni ice cream cake for the celebration and one additional cake for the guests to share. It was a big surprise because, that's exactly what they did! The way they brought out the cakes made it such a sweet and thoughtful surprise. We all loved it, and had an amazing dinner night celebration . The food was absolutely delicious , from the appetizers to the main courses, everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I have to say dessert was very yummy , it was the spumoni ice cream cake we all enjoyed it !! Very flavorful and had that crunchy cookie part texture!! My parents enjoyed their special night, and it meant so much to see how happy they were. The place was clean and inviting, and the service was so organized and thoughtful , every little detail was taken care of without us ever feeling rushed. We all had a wonderful time!! Thank you to the entire team at Portobello's Cuisine for making my parents anniversary celebration seem very special!! This place also has an beautiful outdoor patio and indoor place to sit , it's very nice and cozy !! I'll continue coming back and recommending this place to friends and family. Tucked away in an unexpected corner of North Hollywood, you walk through the entrance and suddenly feel as though you've been transported to a breathtaking Italian garden. The ambiance is absolutely magical and easily ranks among my top 10 dining experiences in Southern California. I've been coming here for well over a decade, and it has never lost its charm. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a romantic date night, meeting friends for brunch, or simply treating yourself to an unforgettable meal, Ca' Del Sole delivers every single time. The food is exceptional. Every dish is beautifully prepared with the quality, elegance, and attention to detail you'd expect from an upscale restaurant in France or Italy--but at prices that are surprisingly reasonable. It's rare to find a restaurant that feels this luxurious without the luxury price tag. Their brunch is outstanding, dinner is absolutely spectacular, and every meal feels like an occasion. The service is equally impressive. It's not unusual to spot an A-list celebrity dining here, but what I love most is that everyone is treated like a VIP. The hospitality is warm, genuine, and consistently exceptional. The staff has a way of making every guest feel welcome, appreciated, and completely taken care of. I especially love the beautiful cabanas and garden patio. It's one of those places where you find yourself lingering because you simply don't want the experience to end. Honestly, part of me wants to keep Ca' Del Sole a secret so I can always get a table--but restaurants this special deserve to be celebrated. If you're looking for incredible food, world-class service, unforgettable ambiance, and one of the most romantic dining experiences in Los Angeles, this is the place. Every visit reminds me why I keep coming back, and if I could, I'd happily celebrate every special occasion here.

A realtor I recently worked with to sell two properties wanted to catch up and present me with a little something for the opportunity at Ca' Del Sole. I'd driven by this place since I often worked in the area or used the streets as a shortcut of sorts, while this was relatively close to his office in Studio City. Opened in 1994 by restaurateur Rudolfo Costella and fellow Venetian Master Chef Antonio Tommasi, the idea was to offer a glimpse into the atmosphere, cuisine, and culture of Northern Italy and a Venetian country inn in the center of the San Fernando Valley. Costella has since expanded his empire with a few more restaurants in Phoenix, AZ and Southern California, respectively. Would I feel at home under the guise of the warm Northern Italian sun!? PURCHASE(S) Breads & Dipping Sauce (COMP): Fresh puffy warm breads and an olive tapenade dipping sauce was a beautiful way to get this lunch started! It was refillable, but we were good. Peroni Nastro Azzurro Pale Lager Beer 5.1% ABV 12floz Bottle ($7.00): Amber honey color, honey malty aroma, light body, light bready malty flavor, clean effervescent finish, and a light malty sweet aftertaste. An easy Italian birra! Squash Blossoms 3pc ($21.95): We shared this lovely appetizer that was airy and lightly fried with a creamy sauce bed. I loved this creative healthy dish! Minestrone Soup Bowl ($13.50): Loaded with a bunch of fresh vegetables and a low-sodium broth, this was hearty and simple, but I liked my realtor's soup more. Asparagus Soup Bowl ($13.50): My realtor let me try his soup, which was an odd nuclear-yellow color, creamy, light, and silky smooth - heavenly! Shrimp Fusilli ($23.95): Homemade green fusilli and medium shrimp in a buttery creamy sauce topped with grated cheese, the portion was smaller than expected, but each bite was blissful, and I used the bread to wipe down my bowl! Salmon Farfalle ($23.95): My realtor let me try his heaping entree portion of thick chunks of tender salmon and velvety pasta in a butternut squash sauce - yummy Valet Parking ($7.00): Cash only, there weren't any other onsite options. SERVICE Once we arrived for our reservation, the lovely young hostess sat us in a relaxing cabana outside in the back patio where we were greeted by a friendly older gentleman server armed with menus and glasses of water. We took forever to order (sorry!), so he went over the specials, which we pretty much ordered from. Our drinks and bread basket arrived quickly followed by the appetizer, then our soups, and finally our entrees all spaced out as they checked on us regularly. Everything was casual and professional - grazie! PARKING ($7.00; valet only): They had a private lot. Otherwise, I should've done what my realtor did and parked along the main drag of Cahuenga Blvd. with meters - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A deceptively large layout once you entered the waiting area with a separate bar area nearby, an indoor dining area off in another direction, and then the amazing outdoor dining area with its mix of cabanas and open-air tables among plants and trees. Obviously, there was plenty of natural light outside (I couldn't say about the inside) while various electric lights covered the rest. It had a very European relaxed feel. I saw a TV in the bar area but couldn't recall any background music other than the street traffic. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I was so happy to finally try Ca' Del Sole and couldn't wait to return, especially to try their Happy Hour (MO-FR 5pm-Close in the bar lounge area only; everything $5.00). The food was awesome, the menu selection was vast, the prices were a touch elevated, the atmosphere was European casual, and the service was top-notch. Plus, I preferred to support small mom & pop businesses whenever possible (sure, they owned a few other restaurants). I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $127.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

They also make sure to stress that dishes don't arrive together. It's mainly a pasta restaurant, why can't the kitchen push out pasta orders together? The first time we were there one of our three pasta dishes was literally ten minutes behind the other two. The most recent visit the restaurant was not full so the dishes largely came together but the pastas were sent before al dente. The soppresini wasn't al dente, it just wasn't fully cooked. The flavors of the dishes are really good but the execution is sub par. One of the folks at our table mentioned it was their birthday so without us asking they brought a scoop of ice cream with a candle which we thought was really nice of them. Then the bill came and we saw that they proceeded to put it on the bill for $6. Didn't want to make a scene but this is beyond tacky and overall I can say we won't be returning here anytime soon.

I find the $13 for the bread a challenge, but it was great nevertheless. For the Octopus, it was a 6 out of 5. Possibly the best I ever had. I am not a fan of celery, but I loved the salad that came with it. Who ever knows me: Guido bragging about salad? No way. Then we had the Vodka penne, followed by a Prosciutto pizza. We are good eaters, but we had to pass on desert, we were full. As I said, we went yesterday, a Wednesday. Featured item on the Happy Hour List: the Burger. I only saw them flying out of the kitchen. Take my word: next Wednesday. Same place. Happy Guido :-) $150 well spent, I can't wait to go again. Great ambiance, and even greater service.
