Leaving an appointment I stumbled upon Wings to Go and I was in need of something to stop my tummy from growling so they seemed like a great option (which they were). Their specialty is Korean fried chicken but they also have a sushi menu. I stuck with wings since that's what their namesake is and I ordered the 8 piece. They fry them fresh so there was a little wait which was fine. The gentleman who helped me was very friendly and the vibe of the place was really relaxed which was nice. I took my order to go but because those dang wings smelled like heaven I had to open them in the car and try 1 or 2. BOMB! I got the soy garlic sauce on the side and you can tell that bad boy was homemade. The wings were hot and fresh and crunchy and crispy and seasoned and just delicious. I ran into this place after I realized i didn't want a sub. I was glad I did. They have a few lunch special that includes soda. I got the chicken strips with French fries. I got the mango habanero sauce. It was sweet and spicy. The strips were not overly breaded and seemed fresh. It takes a while to make so make sure you call in early or have time. You absolutely must try the Parmesan Truffle Fries OMG! they are superlicious. The Truffle fries do not need Ketchup or anything else on them. The grease from frying was well-drained, which made the chicken wings very crispy outside but soft inside. 5+ The soy sauce was not too salty, compared with BoXXon, which was well prepared and applied to the skins. 5+ Unlike other Korean Chicken, it was not with raddish but coleslaw. Wash your hands before you eat chicken from this place because I guarantee you be licking your fingers by the time you get to your second piece. This Korean chicken spot was brand new and so I went just to do the taste test and went with the small order Soya Garlic wings and Mandoos. The chicken wings were sweet, perfectly cooked, but moist and packed with favors, they also have strips, drums, and combos if you prefer. I was licking my fingers and wiping my hand on my shirt before I know it. I also had the fries but they are not twice cooked and needed salt. Then I turned my attention to the Korean dumping, it was my first time doing the fried Mandoos, they had a sweet coding on the outside, the folding creases were fried crispy and the inside was mashed meat paste mixed with finely chopped onions, cabbage, and other veggies. These were delicious and they have a mild heat that sneaks up on you and fills your whole mouth with a tingling sensation. Gyoza could never match up with Mandoos in my book now. For sure I will be visiting this spot again since they are on Main Street next to some of my other Hackensack favorite spots to shop. read more

Their signature soga sauce (soy and garlic) is my new favorite!! It's sweet and savory. The signature spicy sauce has a kick, but the spiciness doesn't linger, so I kept going for it too. Wow surprisingly good. So many Korean chicken spots disappoint, but we loved our first taste of wingotogo. I got the spicy chili wings and the signature mild sauce drums, and they were good...coating was crisp and crunchy and the sauces tasted delicious. The drumsticks were hotter and fresher than the wings, which were more lukewarm than hot, but that might have something to do with when they were ready and when I picked up. The skin was the most crispy wings I have had in years, but the meat was still tender and juicy. The SAUCE reminded me of the Korean chicken spicy sauce, and the signature spicy sauce was my favorite. It was sweet and spicy, but not like the sweet chilly from Buffalo Wild Wings. It was a bit more spicy and savory, which I thought was perfect for my taste, but my friend thought it was a bit too spicy. I thought this restaurant was creative because I had never seen a restaurant that uses Korean chicken sauce in its wings. Curly Fries: They are my favorite because they often are more crispy than the other fries, so I had to try them. The next thing I know, the restaurant did not fail my expectation.
