We ate here for the first time after being told this was a good place for Italian. Good? Good does not do this place justice. Our meals were perfection. Absolutely excellent! I had the Seafood Basil Pomodoro because I could not resist that photo of the dish that appears on the menu. Being a shellfish lover from Florida I've eaten a lot of seafood in my 60+ years. The flavors in this dish melded together into a pallet experience that immediately put a smile on my face. Truly it was delicious and it looked just like the photo on the menu. My husband who grew up going to the finest Manhattan restaurants in New York ordered the Salmon Florentine. He was knocked over by the flavors and raved how the salmon was cooked to perfection as was the pasta. My picky hubby raved about that meal for the next 3 days! He never does that! Our daughter ordered the shrimp and scallops in a vodka sauce. Hers was equally as delicious although she was already full from the soup and appetizer we had ordered. Which brings me to the homemade clam chowder that is offered as an option with each entree on Fridays. Another perfect meld of flavor with fresh clams and minimal potato. The chowder is made the night before so as to allow the soup to thicken overnight to the right consistency. My only disappointment was the $4 up charge for ordering gluten free pasta. This seemed a tad steep as other eateries I've visited usually only add perhaps a dollar or two. $4 seemed a bit high. But I was happy to see that GF was even offered as it isn't always the case when eating out. I checked out the pizza that the table next to us had ordered and it seemed to be a thin crust. Being from NY our choice usually is the NY style crust. Although thin is better for the waistline and given the tastes of the meals we had ordered I'm sure the pizza would taste just as good. We finished our meals with a smooth cuppa coffee each and a homemade cannoli and shared tiramisu. Both were a perfect ending to a truly enjoyable meal. (Being a coffee snob I appreciated that the coffee was as delicious as the meal itself). Our server was attentive and informative regarding the meal choices. She was easily available and kept our waters filled. The dinner menu is available all day although they do offer a lunch menu as well. Decided to give this place a try after hearing some friends rave about how good it is. The new owner I guess (not Frank) was a little weird. Just seemed like he was trying to hard to be "outgoing and welcoming." Our hostess was very nice and the calamari and soups were really good. When it came to our main entrees, we were not very impressed. One of the 4 dishes was pleasant but the other three were kinda bland. I would try it again, maybe we just ordered the wrong things. I would give this 5 stars if I was only reviewing the food and atmosphere... But they constantly under estimate wait times... Tonight was so bad, I probably won't get my hubby back there. We checked in at 4:45 and we're told 40-45 minutes. Checked again at 5:20 and we're told 40 minutes Again, that's probably when we should have left! Finally sat down at 6:30 PM, quickly ordered, and still didn't get out until 7:40! The food was absolutely amazing!! you get so much for the price. We had the fried ravioli for an appetizer and it was so delicious. The drinks were also fantastic. I had a pineapple upside down drink and it's one of the best cocktails I've had! We just discovered this little gem. Place is busy. Food is delicious. Service is consistent and friendly. We will continue to eat there despite the unclean restrooms. The only reason I gave it 4 stars. The vents look like they haven't been cleaned or changed ever! The floor and stalls deserve more attention. If you don't use the bathroom you'll be very happy. With some very tough competition BACI has moved into first place as my favorite go to restaurant 45-50 minutes from our Maricopa home. We couldn't T eT everything but the creative menu with sauce and pasta choices as no cost options5 STARS PLUS.Quality seasoning and creative choices all old school cooking.Get a little bit of everything and enough the delicious just as good if not better reheated leftover. I've been here several times. The food is inconsistent every time. Sometimes its spectacular and other times it's not so good. The wait times are ridiculous here, even with a reservation. The owner will also seat friends right away. That's his choice, it's his place, but it doesn't build a good reputation when you're sitting in that cramped lobby waiting an hour for a table. So we ordered two pizzas tonight and a house salad. We ordered the 18 inch sized pizzas - one cheese, one with sausage, black olives and mushrooms. My husband picked up the pizzas and salads and when he got them home our one pizza was missing the sausage. We also were given the (supposed) 16 inch pizza as the girl who took our order rang us up for that size instead of the 18 inch pizzas. The 16 inch pizzas were actually 14 inches round when we measured them, which is a whole different issue. My husband called the restaurant to let them know that our order was wrong and that our pizzas were less than their advertised size/price. The girl who answered the phone said that they had a price change but that their media person "hadn't gotten around to updating their online menu pricing". She asked if the box that we got was 16 inches, which it was, so apparently they charge you by the size of the box, not the actual size of the pizza you think you are paying for/getting. She passed my husband on to the owner (Frank) and he cut my husband off mid sentence and said that he was very busy and for my husband to "get on with his complaint" because he had an hour and a half wait. He blamed my husband for the pizza missing the sausage because he said he should have looked at it when he picked it up. He also sarcastically asked my husband if he was going to drive back to the restaurant for his dollar back. He also said that my husband was the first person in a month and a half that has complained about the difference in price between what's on their online menu and the actual price they are actually charging customer's for when they order. So he was pretty much a giant jerk. WORST customer service that we have had in a very, very long time. I can't believe someone has that big of an ego that he thinks that he can, and should, talk to customers that way. My husband was not being rude during this phone call but simply stated the issues that we had with our order. We've been going to Baci for the past three years and until tonight have enjoyed it. We loved Frank for original owner and then Gary who bought the restaurant about a year or so ago. I knew something must be going on when we didn't see Gary walking around visiting with guests. Guess what? He sold the restaurant! First of all, I noticed the menu was a little different....want meat sauce on your lasagne - $4.00 more.....want capers on your Chicken Limone - $4.00 more. My husband had lasagna and I ordered eggplant parmesan. I've enjoyed it there before, but tonight it was tasteless. I asked for veggies instead of pasta on the side and they came out drowned in marinara sauce. My eggplant was sitting in sauce that was like water. Sorry, I didn't order broccoli, carrots and zucchini steamed with marinara sauce on top, nor did a want my eggplant sitting in a pool of red water. We have appreciated Baci offering a military discount and tonight when the server brought out bill the discount was calculated at $1.98. on a $65.00 bill. We inquired and was told as of March 1 they have a new owner and he has decided to make changes. The military discount was only on my husband's entree, not his iced tea or dessert, nor anything I ordered. I'm sorry to say they have lost their neighborhood feel and we will definitely not go back. I Inquired where they new owner was and they said he preferred to have his staff interact with the customers instead of him. Went with a group of 14 yesterday. We ordered various items. Owner came by to visit and help us with anything at least twice. Food was tasty and temperature was hot even serving our double table of 14. I ate their Baci pasta dish and wife had Lasagna. We both had the soup of the day "Tuscan" and shared a Lemon cake dessert. Went here on 2/6/21. The wait was 45 mins. The host mentioned it would be that long so no complaints with the wait. Order food right after sitting down. It took us 30 minutes just to get the appetizer, which was bruschetta! When we got the bruschetta it was not the typical bread you would get with bruschetta it was garlic bread with what seemed like pico de gallo on top of it. It was a plus for me because I wanted garlic bread but the truth is it was not bruschetta. I order a baked penne with meat sauce and my wife got gnocchi florentine. By the time we received our food it was already 1 hour past the time got there and the two tables that got sat at the same time as us, have their check and is leaving. Tasting the food it was very off putting because the pasta tasted like something you would just put together in a hurry. Like jar pasta sauce, ground beef and ricotta cheese baked with penne pasta. I took 3 bites and just left the rest. My wife's was equivalent to jar sauce, spinach and pasta. The price you pay for the bowls of pasta it should at least be of some standard but it was something of pizza hut pasta. The waitress was nice but did not offer to take any items off the bill so thats why I am leaving the review for the next people that want to try a place. Amazing!!! and worth the trip to Queen Creek! I am sad that this place is in such a low traffic area, I fear that may be the death of it. I was stunned as I walked in the front door, I was expecting a simple cafe with a few tables and chairs around them. What i found was elegant (however I felt completely comfortable in my shorts t-shirt and flops) dining room made to feel as if you are sitting in a Italian enclosed courtyard complete with a fountain in the middle of the dining room! I love food, I love Italian food a lot, and I am picky. This is the BEST I have had in Arizona! Their eggplant Parmesan was phenomenal, perfectly breaded and prepared. The staff is super friendly, as my friend and I walked in (during lunch) a man, who I took to be the chef, greeted us and asked us if we were "real hungry?" I being a very large young man as well as my friend no dainty guy himself naturally answered "yes." I think we may have inadvertently challenged him. Though we both ordered off the "lunch menue" (which may I add they have extremely affordable lunch prices under $10) I cannot imagine what was brought out to us were their normal "lunch portions." 4 pieces of eggplant, easily enough for 2-3 meals (I however, feeling it would be rude to tell the chef I was "real hungry" and then not clean my plate..... almost hurt myself, but I did clean the plate.... I advise a to-go box) I cannot praise Baci Italian Bistro enough, it is great, go ready to have a good time and you will not be disappointed. " Madame, Me thinks you have forgotten where you are....Queen Creek"...said the owner of this 'restaurant' as he paid an unsolicited visit to my table. I went to this place with my sister for an early dinner. We had acouple rounds of Absolut Martinis which were ok. I ordered the Salad Capresi, (BIG MISTAKE) various appetizers, chicken Limone and Filet Vesuvio. Salad Capese is a simple dish...it is comprised of four things...tomatoes, fresh basil, olive oil and baby mozarella. I was served rock hard STRIPS of grocery store mazarella cheese dropped on DICED tomatoes. I thought I was on an episode of Saturday Night Live. I made an offhand comment about the dish to my sister upon it's presentation. Next thing I know the Owner of the place is at my table. He asks my opinion. I tell him my opinion. . He says..."Look around you"....and the place is packed"... and " You forget where you are....Madame...you are in Queen Creek"...Indeed. I paid the 100 dinner fee... and I will not be back. read more

I like this place for a few reasons: 1. They play oldies like Hall n Oats and Phil Collins and had TV monitors with Football! Not typical for most Italian restaurants I've been too and I like it because it doesn't feel stuffy or fake. 2. The owner is so sweet and entertaining - he came by and asked us how our meal was. His ora is pleasant and it's clear he loves what he does. 3. Um, the food is fantastic!! I got the chicken parmesan with fettucini and their Vodka sauce - it was too die for! We also had the bruschetta (Mmh!) and their bread/butter was great too (a little bit too much flour on top of the bread but not a big deal). 4. If I had the option to rate lower I would. The service was decent but the food is bland and inconsistent. My husband and I ate here a few years ago and I swore I would never return after ordering a glass of wine not realizing it was going to come with a loogy, reluctantly I was convinced by my husband and father in law to give it another try. FAIL..... The first order of bread we got was day old stale bread, my father in law order another and it was straight from the warmer- inconsistent. Update: We've been dining at Baci for the past two years, but never tried the pizza. We ordered takeout pizzas last Sunday evening and I have to say that our entire family was IMPRESSED! I'm going to have a hard time deciding between the Orange Roughy Piccata and the pizza the next time we dine at Baci! Went here looking for good Italian food and certainly found it. Our server was Gina and she did an excellent job of explaining the various dishes and being attentive. My wife and I always split a meal because most servings are so large. We decided on the manicotti. Gina said we would get three. We asked for four and were happily accommodated. We also had a bruschetta. We got 6 pieces of bread topped with fresh tomatoes, red onions, olive oil and mozzarella cheese. Very good! First impression is a friendly staff greeting you at the door of a clean, nicely decorated little restaurant. I had the veal parmigiana with minestrone soup and my partner enjoyed the lasagna. Both were expertly prepared and the serving sizes were generous. It helps that I like their sauce! The wine list is broad enough to cater to the variety of dishes and the prices are reasonable. Overall, a very nice dining experience, even for a VERY busy Friday evening.
