So there is this show my wife watches, Dancing with the Stars. I am the grumpy old judge in the middle scoring the dance a 7 when the others give it a 9. But if I could I would give this place 6 stars. We have been there twice now. The service is excellent the wine list is impressive and the food is fantastic. One our first visit we had pizza crisp thin crust fresh toppings an piping hot. Yum! Honestly when we showed up we thought it was pizza joint and that was what we came for but while we ate we saw all these tempting dishes go by. So we went back my wife had the lamb chop special. Family has been raving about Bacci for 2 years now. We finally were down in New Smyrna Beach awhile back and stopped in. Friends have raved about the Broccoli Rabe Pasta Special, so... I had to try it! J.U.S.T. W.O.W.!!!! Seriously awesome. Garlicky yumminess for sure. Then we went again this week and I knew I had to try a pizza to see what all the fuss was about. I had the Supreme pizza. It was PERFECTION! It is next to impossible to find pizza in Volusia County that meets my tastes! But, just wow here. Perfect crispy crust. Toppings actually covered the whole pizza! (A pet peeve of mine). Sauce was quite tasty. I am not sure if the pizza has changed or I have. I ordered two small pizzas, 1st- ham & green pepper, 2nd- extra mushrooms. The crust was flat in taste and concept, it literally was a floppy mess mid way up the pizza. The sauce was sweet, gross. Mushrooms were rehydrated, possibly, lack of flavor. Real Italians approve! I usually do not take restaurants suggestions for Italian food unless they are also Italian and from New York. It is just because we have the same taste and know what is good. I also usually do not order a red sauce (meat or marinara) because I cook it at home but I must say I was pleasantly surprised by Boci's food! I love their Chicken Cutlet Parmesan and they give you a mountain of spaghetti! We also like the atmosphere and the staff makes you feel like family. The second time we went back they all greeted us (they actually remembered us and what I ordered) so each time we return we feel like part of the crowd. Everyone even the other patrons are also as friendly at least everytime we've been there. We are headed there tonight for my Mom's birthday and I think I may try something new. We have not yet tried the pizza but I am sure you will not be disappointed if you are, tell the staff they would go out of their way to make it perfect. read more

Free bread offered, we got 4 pieces they got 8, we asked for beer on tap, we were told they only sold by bottle and told the next table they could walk outside to their pavilion and get draft beer and bring it back in. Had dinner last night at Baci, servers were pleasant. The girl waiting on our table wasn't aware of the daily special, she had to ask someone. Wine list was extensive, place was packed. Didn't have to wait long for anything which was nice. We didn't care for the bread at all, I ordered the Shrimp Parm and my husband ordered the Carmine (seafood) we both could barely eat our meals they both were too salty! Not sure if this is just a fluke or not. We will go back to try the pizza but hesitant to try pasta again. Portion sizes are really big. read more

We got trapped in a 2 hour wait at the Garlic and decided to come here since it was close by. Totally worth it! I had the chicken parmesan with fettuccine Alfredo and it was absolutely delicious! A hidden gem! Behind an unassuming exterior on busy US 1 is Baci, a cozy restaurant with great wine selection, awesome pizza and friendly service. We sat at the bar and Megan took great care of us -- she helped with selecting a wine from the extensive and decently priced list. We had the Pinot Nero which she said was a favorite of the owner. It's the worst to find not one, but two hair in her food. Seating at the bar you would think the bartender would have notice the look on my wife's face. After we told him about the hair on her food, he acted like it wasn't a big deal. 2 minutes later after he went in the back 2 girls came out and looked at my wife like she was lying. One would think an apologie not only from the bartender, a freaking manager, or the owner. Every time we are there his there. This is mine and my husbands favorite place when we come to NSB. We aren't locals but my mom and grandparents both live here, so we're here a lot. The pizza is absolutely to die for. It's the closest pizza I've had in the US to what I had in Italy. We've always had good experiences here but last night was terrible. We were sat at the same time as another couple obviously local because our waiter favored them. They got their food before he even came back to take our order. He never came back to fill up our drinks or ask if the food was okay. He then put beer and wine that my husband and I did not order onto our bill, when I asked him to change it he seemed annoyed and not apologetic. read more

Perfect ratio of toppings to crust-generous, but not enough to make the crust soggy. When you fold a slice, the wide end crunches and the tip dips perfectly. Maybe, the best lobster ravioli I have ever had in my life. Unfortunately, I ordered garlic bread with it (since for 22 bucks you only get the ravioli) it was the nastiest garlic bread I've ever seen or tasted. They didn't bother to put any effort in that. ( how hard is garlic bread?). I've never eaten in, just take out. Everyone seems nice & I tip them well, but for $ 30.00 dollars for a lobster ravioli & garlic bread to go? My husband and I have gotten pick up from here a few times and my go-to is the cheese pizza. Their pizza is super tasty! Today we dined in with my parents and we were all so impressed. Our waitress - I completely regret not remembering her name :( - was amazing. She was exceptionally friendly and very accommodating. The food was SO DELICIOUS. I am not even exaggerating when I say they made the best eggplant parm I have ever had.. EVER! It was so good. Normally eggplant is kinda juicy making the breading soggy but Baci's was so crispy and seasoned to perfection. My dad is kinda finicky, he loved the spinach salad and ciabatta sandwich - he was raving about it. My husband always gets the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and he keeps on getting it since it is that good. My step mom enjoyed her chicken parm a lot and she's pretty picky also. The mushroom crostini app was really yummy. Their balsamic reduction is KILLER. I enjoyed the reggae music they had playing during the late afternoon. They're keeping a really clean environment and they're doing great to keep customers comfortable during this pandemic by following all the recommended cdc guidelines. We have been here twice before and absolutely loved it. However, tonight was not a good night for the Baci. We were told that there was a 25-30 minute wait for our table, we waited an hour and 5 minutes. The hostess never notified us that it would be longer or that there was an issue. Once we were finally seated, we were not greeted until about 20 minutes after we were seated and then the hostess ended up taking our drink orders. 30 minutes later, the hostess comes back to take our order. ANOTHER 30 minutes later (with two kids, one is 9 and the other is almost two being well behaved but clearly on a downhill spiral) we get our food. We ended up having to have our food boxed up to take it home to finish eating because our kids could not keep it together anymore. This was the absolute worst time here. The manager never ever said anything to us, nobody really said or explained what happened. It was completely unacceptable. I'm so disappointed in a place that we loved. My mom is in town visiting and this was the worst experience that could have happened. If someone had simply apologized, it wouldn't have been a big deal. Nobody ever said anything. read more

My family and I have eaten at Baci three times and attempted to go back tonight. The first two visits were great and the service was good too. The third time we visited, the service was very slow, inattentive, and the food was average and not as described by the waitress when asked how it was made. My wife ordered a side salad and it did not come out until after the entree arrived after I told them it never came. We decided to give them another chance because everyone has an off day. We were told they did not have any available tables inside, but had some outside. This hostess inside the restaurant was very polite and friendly. We walked outside and were greeted by a different hostess who said there were no tables outside. We then said we would take the first available. We were there a little over 15 minutes when a family walks in and were seated immediately. No, there not already on the list. We asked the hostess (the one from outside) and she says it's because we were a party of 5 except one of our 5 was a baby who would be sitting in a high chair. We said we have sat at a 4 person table the previous 3 times we had eaten there. We told this to her and she said, "oh sorry, but you're a party of 5. You can't sit there..."I have no problems waiting on a table and completely understand that restaurants are busy, but it was incredibly rude and unacceptable how we were were spoken to. Courtesy and politeness go a long way in the service industry. Please treat your customers better. You have lost our business. read more

Finally! Excellent pizza.....easily the best I've had outside of NY City. A+++ (Come to think of it, this pizza might actually be better than any pizza I've had in NYC.) Baci Pizzeria Restaurant is not just a great pizza place, it's a gourmet restaurant with something for everyone. The menu is interesting and diverse. You may choose from many traditional oven-baked pizzas, as well as specialty wood-fired pizzas, such as Artichoke Pizza or White Clam Pizza. A large selection of healthy gourmet salads, appetizers, and sandwiches is also available. (Anyone care for antipasto, a veggie panini, strawberry spinach salad, or eggplant?) Of course they have Philly cheese steaks, wings and burgers, and the prices are reasonable. As for myself, I'm looking forward to my next traditional oven-baked pizza with red peppers, pepperoni and mushrooms. Yummy. The restaurant has been decorated elegantly, and provides a nice environment for enjoying a meal and a glass of wine. I hope they offer delivery in the future.
