I'd called the afternoon previous, explaining that we had water running of the heater. They came by the next morning, installed a new heater and refreshed all the relevant piping to ensure we'd be up to code and have no leaks. The installing plumber, Abraham Angeles, did a masterful job and cleaned up quite thoroughly. Allstate is never the cheapest, but they know what they're doing, the install good quality products, and are quite reputable. As I said, we've used them for years, and I encourage you to give them a call if your water heater goes out, as well.

I moved into a new home just recently and there was so much wrong in the house that needed fixing. They installed a new SPAN panel since the old circuit breaker was dangerously old and I got their HVAC team to install a modern gas furnace. I told them about the stain I spotted in my garage and Candace helped me set up an appointment with one of their plumbers, Edgar. That man is the best. He kept me in the loop and gave me realistic expectations. He immediately found and fixed the leak and I asked him to install three bidets into my bathrooms and he did it like a solid professional. No corners were cut. They are quite pricey imo, but the jobs are always done incredibly well. Even the patching guy did such a good job I couldn't even tell where the holes were when they were done so all in all it's money worth spent.

He explained me it's a lot of work and my AC parts were outdated and refrigerant is no longer allowed to use. I hired another company and all nitrogen test took 30 min and they want $100-300 for it. Also they checked the refrigerant and said it's new and easy to buy without any need in parts replacement. The remaining repair will bi like pipe fix + freon refill and cost about $1500. Wondering, does that company have any actual clients who pay them that 6 times of market price? Does that company really care about customers experience and reviews? They will finally ran out of customers with such approach so will lose their bread on the table.

We had a flood in our kitchen that had required some plumbing work since the repair ended up…read moredamaging one of our water pipes - the repair company had arranged everything with Marti's for a 3-5pm window. By 4pm, I had received no call and after trying to get in touch with our contact person, I was told the tech was finishing up his last job and should be on-site soon. By the time 5pm approaches, I was told they would call me to reschedule. Of course, I received no call and when I tried calling a little after 5pm, the number went to voicemail because they were already "closed". The technician did end up calling me later that night to inform me that his "tools were stolen" (if that was the case, how did he finish up his "last job"?) and that he wasn't able to show up (that would have been fine had he tried to contact me as soon as his "tools were stolen"). Everything was handled very poorly on their end so we ended up finding another plumbing company to take care of our repairs.

If I could give negative stars I would. The short summary is they were so ignorant of local code…read morethat they did work that I now need to pay someone else to undo. After realizing their mistake the manager on my project stopped being responsive and skipped town. That was after promising to "make things right". This was for an outdoor project that required running a sink drain with proper drainage into the sewer system, as required by local code. I awarded them the contract based on how they stated they would accomplish this, which was to run the new drain line directly to the sewer line outside of the house footprint. When they started the project, without discussing any changes, they proceeded to tap into the sewer lines in my crawl space, digging a huge trench (3 feet wide) to accomplish this. BUT, for another change I didn't ask for, they decided to run hot and cold water lines from under my crawlspace, and do this in the same trench as the sewer line. That isn't allowed by code. There are additional code requirements as well they weren't aware of, such as needing to install new backflow prevention as a result. On learning this while attempting to go through the permit process, they assured me they'd "make it right", though became less and less responsive, finally skipping town and becoming completely unresponsive. In addition to having no idea about local code and costing me thousands in bad work and needing to pay a separate plumber to set this right, they acted with complete disregard for my property. One example is in running pipe out of my crawlspace. Unlike all other contractors I've used (electrical, cable, ...), instead of just cutting a small hole in the crawlspace access screens for the new pipe, they tore the entire screen out. This allowed rats to enter my crawlspace and infest my home. Another is that the trench they dug is the worst I've ever seen, opening up a 3 ft wide area just to run some piping. Bottom line, don't let these folks anywhere near your property - especially for anything requiring any outdoor work.

I would give Elite Rooter zero stars if I could…read more I hired this company to connect a water supply line to the refrigerator at my rental property. After the installation, the fridge started making a very loud noise whenever water was dispensed. This issue continued for about 1.5 months. Their team initially blamed the refrigerator and even claimed the noise was coming from the compressor, not from their installation. Eventually, I went to the house myself and checked behind the refrigerator. I discovered that the technician had connected the water source to the wrong inlet and had basically bypassed the refrigerator's solenoid/water inlet valve. He also bundled the main fridge pipe that was supposed to be connected to the water inlet valve and told my tenant that the pipe was useless and not needed. When Elite Rooter sent the original technician, Oscar, back to the house, I showed him the correct connector behind the fridge and asked him if he knew what it was for. He said, "No, I don't know what it is." When I told him that he should know because the job was to connect water to the refrigerator, he said he was "not supposed to know this" because he is "not an appliance technician." That response was very concerning to me, especially after they had already done the job incorrectly. I then called his manager, David Herb, and asked if he could come himself or send someone other than Oscar to fix the issue. He refused and insisted that Oscar should fix it, while also saying Oscar had not made any mistake and that I was wasting his time on the phone. When I asked Oscar to repeat to David what he had just told me inside the house, Oscar denied saying it. After David spoke privately with Oscar on the phone, Oscar left the house without notifying me. I then called David several times, texted him, and sent him a video showing the issue behind the fridge, but he did not respond. I had to call the main Elite Rooter office and explain the whole situation to the operator, asking them to send someone else and to escalate David's behavior to higher management. Only after that did David finally texted me that he was coming himself. I waited again, and when he arrived, he checked the fridge and admitted that Oscar had made a mistake in installing the pipes. David fixed the issue himself and apologized. Although the issue was finally corrected, the whole experience was extremely frustrating, unprofessional, and time-consuming. It took about 1.5 months from the original installation until they finally fixed their mistake. I had to personally diagnose the problem, wait at the house for hours, deal with a technician who denied responsibility, and deal with a manager who was dismissive and unresponsive until I escalated the issue. I do not recommend anyone work with this company.
