I've been using these guys whenever I needed electrical work done around the house during the pandemic and stuck with them since. I moved into a new home just recently and there was so much wrong in the house that needed fixing. They installed a new SPAN panel since the old circuit breaker was dangerously old and I got their HVAC team to install a modern gas furnace. I told them about the stain I spotted in my garage and Candace helped me set up an appointment with one of their plumbers, Edgar. That man is the best. He kept me in the loop and gave me realistic expectations. He immediately found and fixed the leak and I asked him to install three bidets into my bathrooms and he did it like a solid professional. No corners were cut. They are quite pricey imo, but the jobs are always done incredibly well. Even the patching guy did such a good job I couldn't even tell where the holes were when they were done so all in all it's money worth spent. read more

I had AC leak issue and Roy Albasri was sent to me for checking. His assessment for cost was: finding the leak via nitrogen test - $1800 + estimated coast of repair (including multiple part replacement, like 5-6) was another $4500. He explained me it's a lot of work and my AC parts were outdated and refrigerant is no longer allowed to use. I hired another company and all nitrogen test took 30 min and they want $100-300 for it. Also they checked the refrigerant and said it's new and easy to buy without any need in parts replacement. The remaining repair will bi like pipe fix + freon refill and cost about $1500. Wondering, does that company have any actual clients who pay them that 6 times of market price? Ok, it's been 7 years since, the 5 plus long month nightmare electrical project that should have taken no longer than 3 to 4 weeks to complete, went on for months drained thousands from our bank account and didn't fix the over all issues that we were having! I would not recommend these guys at all. They use our home as a training camp for their techs! Plus Items were stolen from our garage and thew work was amateur at best. They claimed to be professionals but, who employs thieves that don't know what the hell they are doing? I had to basically fire workers during the course and ask them to leave by the end. Never again, will I hire these guys for anything! They got us on an insurance claim, that they pushed and they didn't even have an approval whatsoever! Denial after denial after denial. It finally went through after months of arguing back and forth. Once again Time and Money Wasted. Bad decisions cause problems down the road. We're selling and guest what. The Electrical is a huge problem, go figure? After $12,500.00 worth of work we're still blowing breaker fuses......! You'd think that things would be solid after all that! Nope! This is the most unethical company I have ever dealt with. When my furnace stopped running over the weekend I guess they figured they had me over a barrel. The only pricing they would give when I called was the "there will be no dispatch fee". Since I needed them to more than show up in my driveway, I asked what they would charge to diagnose my problem. The only answer I could pry out of them was "it will depend on what they have to do." No surprise the diagnosis cost was exorbitant and the performance of the tech was abysmal. He did almost nothing before announcing that my barely 10 year old furnace was dead and would have to be replaced. Obviously I refused to sign up for a new, exorbitantly priced furnace on the spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And for the next two days he pursued me like a 1960's used car dealer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] By comparison, two days later a tech from another company, came out, charged me less than half as much and left me with a running furnace in about an hour. I called Pacific Coast Home Services to fix a gas furnace that stopped working. After the bare minimum visual inspection with no troubleshooting, the technician wanted me to pay $600 to do a full diagnostic or $1,200 to do maintenance as a speculative fix. Unfortunately, I picked the latter option: it was a total waste of money. Any halfway honest company would have told me to replace the system, which is what was suggested by the 3 other companies I contacted. The furnace stopped working 2 days later. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From that point on, they were absolutely unhelpful: they were not available for the next 3 days to give me a quote for replacement options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They sent someone else who claimed to be a supervisor and quoted me options for a replacement gas furnace or a heat pump system. Their quotes are absolutely ridiculous and borderline disrespectful. For comparison, a quote in the $12-13k range elsewhere came out to over $32k with them. Total joke. To top it off, the "supervisor" also fed me lies about some incentives which do not exist. DO NOT buy their BS of "highly skilled technicians with blabla training": they have the same exact licenses and insurance as any other HVAC contractor. They make you sign scary disclaimers which are meaningless. My advice: there are much better, more honest HVAC companies out there. Don't waste your time with this one. read more

We had one of their plumbing techs came out on Monday for a leak in our crawl space. The crawl space had water in it, so the tech came up and said we needed the space dried by professionals before work can begin. I checked my email and the tech sent a work order to have (2) 5 foot pipes replaced in the kitchen waste line. Pacific coast home services wanted $4k for this job. WTF? We put floor air movers on the space and had it dried out in 2 days. We then had another plumber come out and do the repair for $650.00 It turns out, the 45* elbow had a crack. It took literally 35 minutes to repair. I would strongly suggest not doing business with these guys. TL;DR summary : - Company extremely over-charges for replacement parts - Company does not take ownership to address customer complaints or concerns I have spent more than $5,000 with Pacific Coast to replace my outdoor A/C unit and coil over last couple of years. Recently, I called them again to check out a problem I was having with the new A/C unit. After looking into the problem, the technician diagnosed it to be a broken capacitor that needed to be replaced (unrelated to the new A/C unit). The problem is that they decided to charge me close to $350 for the replacement capacitor (see screenshot of invoice) on top of the $560 charge for the labor costs. I don't mind playing $560 for labor but $350 is extremely excessive for a new capacitor. As it was getting late, I didn't want to make an issue of it with the technician as he had been working hard at it but he assured that they were charging a reasonable market rate for it. So I settled the amount. But after the technician left, I decided to look up how the capacitor costs and it's a $10 part!! So I called back the next day asking to speak to someone about this over-charging. A reasonable markup is to be expected but how can anyone justify charging $350 for a $10 part? Over-charging was the just first step. This was compounded by the fact that no one in position of authority to address my concern would call me back. This service was done in late August 2021 and the only reason why I'm writing this in January 2022 is that I've given this company ample time to address this issue. I called repeatedly and after repeated assurances that someone would call me back, no one did. And what's worse is that every single manager that I was passed on to would ultimately leave the company. I finally was put through to the GM (Jim) who seemed genuinely interested in addressing my complaint. He promised to refund me part of the cost and I was OK with that. Juan Murillo and Danny Tham are fantastic electricians. To install a SPAN panel, they were careful, methodical and quick to transfer the circuits from the main panel to the SPAN sub-panel. It took less than 2 days. Pricing and problem solving can be better. SPAN told us the range of all installation cost was between $3k to $10k, depending on the location. Ours was $19k+! After reading the comments at Yelp, I did not get a second quote and went ahead with the installation. My mistake! Sales coordination and installation handoff can be better. Just a 10 minute overlap would make things much more efficient for the installers. Technical resolution is taking too long! Installation was done on July 7 and it is still not working. The problem is data communication between SPAN and solar panel and backup batteries. SolarEdge Model SE7600-A-US is not supported by SPAN. It was never checked before installation. When the problem surfaced, I was told that was unforeseen and hence would involve more charges. A week later, I was told a technical solution was found. Two weeks later, still no solution. This week, the manager came and suggested a potential gateway solution with SolarEdge or Sunrun. We will see what next. I am also looking for a heat pump to replace air conditioners and furnace. Our AC unit was installed over a year ago by Pacific Coast. Last week it would not kick on. Called Pacific Coast Home Services and scheduled a service. They provided up to date status on technician arrival. The technician, Emerson Martel, arrived early. He went through the compressor and agreed it was not charged. Emerson spent many hours tracing the leak checking the compressor and the inside unit. Recognizing he was not able to trace the issue, he called his supervisor thinking there could be an issues with the compressor internals. Emerson cancelled other services and stayed the day to trace the problem. After telling us to run the system and see if he could detect any leaks, Emerson called another technician who came out and determined a possible cause in a small gasket. These guys were committed to solving the problem. Upon leaving, they gave clear instructions on running the system to determine if the issue was solved. And if not they were ready to be back I have used Pacific Home Services. These guys know HVACs and stand by their work. I have been impressed with them every time. Highly recommend. They saved my kitchen!! We had a plumbing company out to fix our clogged kitchen sink. There was no clean out for the kitchen pipes so they had to cut a hole in the outside of the house to put one in. The plumbing company doesn't fix the wall though so we were left to figure that out on our own. We called PCHS since they do plumbing and home repair. Their technician came out to fix the hole and somehow noticed a hairline crack in the new pipe. He asked us to run the water for a couple of minutes and sure enough there was a crack in the pipe the other company had just installed. If he hadn't noticed that and patched the wall that leak would have destroyed our kitchen. PCHS fixed the pipe and patched the wall. Really great experience and we will be using them for all out future plumbing and electrical needs. read more

The overall office responses and repairs work are very good. The "1" rating is for the quote and pricing for about $1,000.00, including a 3% credit surcharge, for 1 hour plumbing repair. I am really questioning the bases for the estimation, after the "quick" repair. I should get multiple quotes, even if I want to get the leak stop ASAP. Since I was in a hurry to stop the leak - a sprinkler valve dripping nonstop. I was convinced that is expansive because replacing shut off valves (2) is complicate and the work will be done professionally by licenses plumbers with 90 days warranty. They told me that they didn't see anything wrong with the inside of the heater & told me that I should have a more completed check up as soon as possilbe. Warning. Long review incoming. I was in talks with a few people for a 2 unit mini-split system, and got a few quotes. I chose Pacific Coast because they said they had a WiFi unit for the price I was looking to spend. I made an install appointment and told them that I work 60-70 hours a week and asked if they can do the install in 1 day, since I don't have a lot of free time. They said yes. Install day came and I noticed they only brought in 1 unit. I asked them if they are installing both. They said they are only installing one unit that day and will come back another day to install the second unit. I was a little frustrated. I asked if that unit would be up and running when they were done and they said yes. By the end of that day they said that they were done with the install. I asked if I could use the unit. They said no because the electrician has to come out and run power to it. A little bit more frustrated. They asked me if I wanted the electrician to come out the next day. I said no because I had to rest in the morning for my upcoming 16 hour shift in the afternoon. I asked to be scheduled the next week on my next day off. The next morning at 7am my doorbell rings and it's the electrician. My frustration level is continuing to rise. I tell the electrician he can go ahead and work and to call me if he had any issues. I go back to sleep and he calls me about an hour later. He tells me my power line coming in from the street is bad. It's frayed and burned through its housing. He said it's a fire hazard. He gives me a quote on it, and of course after hearing that, I agree to have it replaced. He also says my main electrical circuit panel is old and I should upgrade it. I agreed to it. He said he would come back out on the day the mini-split team was working. He said he would finish all the electrical that day. Second install day is here. So both the installers and the electrician are there. I asked the installers if the second unit will be finished by that day. Their response was, "I'm not sure. I hope so." Unacceptable answer. It was supposed to be a one day install. I also asked them if this unit would be able to connect to WiFi in order for me to control in from my phone. The installers looked confused and began asking each other if the unit was able to do that. The electrician was working on the main power line and the main electrical circuit panel. I asked him if he would also be running power to the mini split system. He seemed confused and told me no. He said he was only there for the main power line and circuit panel. At this point I am extremely frustrated. This company seems as if they will tell you anything you want to hear to acquire your business. The lack of communication and professionalism is astounding. I called my project manager and told her what the installers and the electrician told me. She said she would call me back. She called me back and told me she was sending out a second electrician to run power to the mini split system and that the mini split units had an adaptor that can be installed for the WiFi, but the adaptors are out of stock. I asked when they would be back in stock and they said they had no idea. Everything got done that day and they said they would let me know when the WiFi adaptors were back in stock. I got a call shortly after and they said the WiFi adaptors were in stock and I scheduled an install. The installer came and said he never installed the adaptor and looked very confused and spent a lot of time reading the install manual. A month or 2 later, I noticed that my mini split unit in the living room was leaking water. Someone came out and said my pump was leaking. He said he fixed the problem. Fast forward again and the unit was leaking again. This time they sealed the roof where they drilled in to install the unit. Fast forward again and I found a leak in my garage. This time it's where they drilled a new hole to run the electrical down from the main power line to my new circuit panel. They sealed the roof. Fast forward again and now I had a screeching noise coming from my unit in the bedroom. Someone came out and could not recreate the noise. He said next time it happens to record a video of it and text it to him directly. I texted him the video. No response. I gave up on that issue and am just living with it. Fast forward again. The living area unit is leaking again. The guy they sent out said the last guy that sealed the roof did it wrong and that he had to re-do it. Fast forward about a year. I get an error code and both units stop working. Guy comes out and says all the refrigerant leaked into my wall because of a bad install. Fast forward another year and I notice the AC is cold, but not as cold as it should be. I figure the AC unit just needs to be serviced. Guy comes out and guess what? Another refrigerant leak! This company came out and told me my leaking toilet was due to not having a wax gasket. They then charged me about $500 saying that it would fix the problem. I was not offered insurance nor was I told it wasn't insured. When the toilet leaked again I figured the problem hadn't been resolved so I called them again. They wanted to come back out and charge me another $500 to redo the gasket. I told them absolutely not as I think they should stand by their work and if there's still a problem after they said it would be fixed they should rectify the situation. They comped the follow-up and this time provided a die test to see if my toilet had a crack in it. They told me that it would actually an issue with my flange. They quoted me $3500, minus $500 for the first job, to fix the whole thing. I got a second quote from a different local plumbing company with a price of $500 to fix that exact same thing. This company is a place that will take advantage of people who do not understand plumbing issues. I recommend going somewhere else for your plumbing needs. I would recommend Ernie's plumbing in Gilroy. After looking at the rooms that had lost the power technician said it would take me $700 to diagnose the Issue and then cost of repair. Being that it was over 10 years old, we agreed it was time to replace it. Also... Bryan wore a mask at all times - even though he was outside the whole time as well as socially distancing. 4) Bryan was out the next morning with our new hot water heater. 5) Bryan had everything done within 90 minutes. 6) After Bryan left, I took a hot shower! This is maybe the 4th time I've had Pacific Coast Home Svcs out for different various work from electrical to HVAC. They're always super professional and truly quick and their quality of work and service is always premium. When our hot water heater went out, I must have called 12 different plumbers. 9 didn't answer and the other 12 couldn't make it out until next week - then my wife reminded me about Pacific Coast - it slipped my mind that they did plumbing too! ‍ So at this point, I'm using Pacific Coast Home Svcs for just about all my home service needs! My ONLY (slight) complaint: The 3.5% interest credit card charge. I know businesses get charged by the credit card companies per transactions but... Jeremy did a thorough job evaluating my system and giving me a reasonable quote with different options. He explained everything in detail that I could understand. During the install, Cesar Ortega , Christopher Emmert and the rest of the crew were phenomenal. When Chris looked at the old unit, he saw cracks and defects that were major problems if we kept using the old unit. They were efficient and explained everything they were doing along the way. The were respectful , professional , and easy to work with. They made sure I was satisfied with the work. They tested the system and help set up the new thermostat to make sure it was working properly and cleaned up afterwards. I appreciate their hard work during this very hot day! This is the second time that I've used Pacific Coast. I am impressed and they have earned my trust. I plan to use them for my home needs in the future. Charged me $600 to do a "level 2 assessment" which consisted of opening the electric outlet, closing it back up, and telling me that it can't be fixed in its current state since it doesn't meet code and it would take $4000 to bring it up to code. What a rip off! read more

Horrible services, dishonest, bad communication. I want to have a wall heater replaced; at first I want to buy a new one myself and have PCHS install it, they agreed; but at the day they send technician, PCHS said they can't install it and I have to pay for a new one. I agreed as most other home services also said I have to pay for a new one. On Jan 5th they sent a technician to take a look. Technician is a nice guy, and said I should get a quote the next week. The quote never arrive. I got frustrated 1 week later, and called PCHS several times. They promised that they are onto it, that I should get a response in a day or two. The response never arrive. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. read more

Salvador and Carlos showed up right on time and proceeded to methodically track down the source of two GFCI plugs tripping. I have had a lot of remodels done on my house, and there are multiple electrical panels and subpanels around here, any of which, in my mind, might have been the source of these issues. Long story short: they figured out that a switch controlling an outdoor awning, installed decades ago, (and apparently mis-installed) was shorting out and tripping the outside GFCI and an indoor one as well. After that discovery, it was fairly straightforward, although I still might have that switch re-engineered to prevent this from happening again. Both Salvador and Carlos were efficient and communicated everything they were doing in an easy to understand manner. I was very happy with their work, and really happy to have my outdoor lights and kitchen plugs working again! read more

It's a month later, and my project is done. Overall it's been a good experience working with PCHM. Carlos, Christian and Kenneth were meticulous and dedicated in their work. Again, they were respectful of the elders and a toddler crying in the house. Christian suggested good places to add the new circuit wires that are solely used for our space heaters. My mom enjoyed talking with Kenneth who ended up introducing himself in our Ilokano dialect. He ended crawling all over our attic to add new circuit wires. Carlos ended up returning to add the circuit breakers and attach the wires. Overall, I appreciate the warmth, honesty, and professionalism of the electricians. I felt comfortable asking questions and clarifying any concerns regarding next steps with Jaime via text. I also appreciate the customer service representatives I called weekly as requested updates regarding fee updates and adjustments. read more
