I'm certain this is the place that's located on Andresen in the Living Hope Church parking lot. BEST CHICKEN IVE EVER HAD, so incredibly juicy, and flavorful! We got the brisket (asked for some fat) and ribs. Yall, it was like dang near a whole chicken, 6 ribs and like 6 slices of brisket, $53 and got it within 5 minutes. He asked if we wanted sauce on the meat and I asked for it on the side, and I'll tell you I didn't even need it, the meat was so spot on. They're open Wednesday through Saturday I believe he said 11am - 6pm. I WILL be back. I do wish they had sides though, to cut through just having meat. There is no seating in front of their space, luckily I have an SUV and it was a beautiful day so we just popped my trunk and ate under the hatch. Don't miss out on this gem! read more

Great food i had the brisket plate and a relative had ribs and the beans are great too

It's been a long long wait for some fried fish and a 8oz chili, 35 minutes so far. As for the food 1/2 of its been in the pick up window for the past 10 minutes getting cold... yummmm, the fish and chips are OK at best. Service is extremely slow ans they are under staff for a mall location, the location looks to be clean and organized. Edit note, the fried fish is dry and oily, the French fries taste like fish as if they were cooked in the same oil! read more

While shopping at Vancouver Mall we stopped at the Food Court and noticed a new BBQ restaurant with brisket! BBQ brisket is one of our favorite but also know the best place to get it is usually in the South! That is ... until we tried this place. We were blown away with the tasty and perfectly cooked brisket. The beans were some of the best we had ever had. The owner struggled a little with getting the food out. We believed he was by himself. However, the food is definitely worth the wait. It was delicious. read more

Customer service was on point. The brisket was bomb; the pull pork was my favorite and the ribs was falling off the bone. My only complaint is that I wish I had come in earlier while it was fresh, but it was still good for being served still at 8:45 PM (right before closing). I will definitely be back, but not for the ordered I received. Wish I would've known I'd be spending $21 on three meats and two sides; but its all good. When I go to a bbq place I look for a few specific things. 1. Flavor of the brisket: can it stand alone or does it require sauce. 2. Flavor of the sauce: would I be happy sipping it with a straw. 3. Tenderness of the brisket: does it have bite, is it mushy or leather. For me all bbq boils down to brisket, king of all meat. At Backyard I did not find the brisket flavorful enough to stand alone. With the sauce it was ok. Their sauce was decent, could have used a bit more of a kick, or a bit more tang...it was just a bit flat. The cook on the brisket was ok, a touch tough for my taste but not leather. All in all it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't call it good either. read more

I ordered the southern salmon and potato salad with Mac and cheese. My only complaint is that I wish you could call in your order. This is my third time visiting and the service as improved from my first visit. But the gentleman needs consistent help to keep up with demand. Other than that my food was ok could have used more cheese in the Mac but he is improving. read more

My husband ordered something spent $30 plus a tip waited a long time then when my husband went to see if food was ready they said they need a ticket unfortunately we lost it so we tried to explain but they said it didnt matter they couldnt give the food and then we looked everywhere again even in trash but still nothing tried again to explain but still nothing and no refund...so we lost over $30 and no food. Omg this place is amazing!!! I wish I had taken pics. I worried when the amazing BBQ place I had gone to before when trying to buy something keto friendly on the go. They had a food truck off Andreson next to the Walgreens. They are so good and tasty! I can't speak on annual of their sides but the assortment of meat and the cool and quality is out of this world... ok maybe just out of tHis area lol. Holy cow! So delicious! Got the ribs and potato salad. I didn't really think much in choosing a side, but I sure did choose right! The food has been A1 every time I've stopped by. (I work in the mall, so it's fairly often) the wings were the best cooked that I've ever had, and the ribs fall right off the bone. The Mac and cheese is creamy and flavorful, the fries are always the perfect balance of crispy outside, and soft on the inside. Also, they've had a couple of limited specials that were so good I had to go back multiple times. Microwaved brisket that was discolored, terrible collard greens for 2 bucks. 10 dollar sandwich should come with one side other than chips. Go to daddies bbq or literally anywhere else. Ran into this place by accident in Vancouver Mall. Just by walking up you can tell that it was Texas style bbq. I grew up in Texas so I was so exited to see a place that I could try. Southern cooking is hard to come by and I thought I would give this place a shot. The staff was was super poliet. They went above and beyond to not only answer any questions I have but help me in creating the perfect family meal. I am on Keto and I knew that I couldn't have the sauce so they put it on it the side and answered any questions I had on the cooking. The food was so amazing. Like I haven't tasted food this good since I was back in the south. Generous portions with meat that was cooked perfectly. The last two places that I have eaten meat at they were overcooked and the portions were super small. I am sold for Backyard BBQ. I wish I took pictures but the food was too good I killed my plate quickly. The food I ordered was heaven on Earth. I ordered the macaroni cheese, ribs, and hot wings. Absolutely amazing. My only complaint would be that I ordered the brisket sandwich which I thought just needed to be a little bit warmer. The Backyard BBQ sign and painted flames caught my eye today as I was walking through the mall. I ordered the brisket, ribs, collard greens, coleslaw and sweet potato pie.
