    BBQ sausage and mac-n-cheese
    Shalamar P.

Nothing like some backyard BBQ. First time here and trying the BBQ sausage and Mac-n-cheese. Yummmmmm!!! I'll definitely come back and try other items on their menu

    Ribs, pull pork and brisket.
    David S.

Customer service was on point. The brisket was bomb; the pull pork was my favorite and the ribs was falling off the bone. My only complaint is that I wish I had come in earlier while it was fresh, but it was still good for being served still at 8:45 PM (right before closing). I will definitely be back, but not for the ordered I received. Wish I would've known I'd be spending $21 on three meats and two sides; but its all good. Dying to try their wings next, probably the best deal in town.

Yum!) and had the Smokestack plate. Two adults shared this amount and it was plenty of food. The kids shared a Mac and cheese side and then had bites of our plate. They are normally fairly picky, but they loved everything, even the coleslaw and jalapeño beans. We ordered the banana pudding and the chocolate torte for dessert. I heard the banana pudding was tasty, but the torte was the favorite at the table. The establishment is split into a bar area and an area that accommodates families. There were some tvs with sports on and plenty of room for us to sit at dinner time on a Friday. There is also outdoor seating (but I don't know if kids can sit there). The staff was friendly and speedy and willing to help us make arrangements for our picky eaters. The portions were generous and the quality was great. My favorite part is that the menu is clearly marked for gluten free options and that there are so many. The meats and sauces and chili are all clear, as well as the chocolate torte. Everything was delicious. And our picky eaters even want to go back and eat the actual barbecue next time.

The staff was very friendly, and served delicious Huckleberry whiskey. The menu, though small, had to many delicious options. I ended up being unable to decide, and got the same pull pork sandwhich my husband chose. And dang was it good. I am honestly not sure if I ate the sandwhich, or just blinked and had it disappear. I can tell you my husband hadn't laughed as hard that entire trip, as he did when he saw me reliaze it was gone. If your looking for a good place, with strong drinks, and food that will make you wanna drive hours to have again. Then stop in this hole in the wall today.

We put our order in at the counter and had our sandwiches about 7 minutes later. Pretty quick for all the work he had to do. I had the Santa Maria. It was a nice tri-tip with garlic butter. The variety of sauces at the table helped add a personalized flavor. The bun was soft and fresh, and this sandwich was bigger than I was expecting. I got a side of Mac and cheese, it was creamy goodness! Good service, good food!

I…read moreordered the two meats/two sides dinner, choosing brisket and pulled pork with potato salad and coleslaw. The meats were great, the coleslaw was fantastic, but the potato salad was uninspiring. Brisket had a great bark on it but was very moist inside with an excellent smoky flavor. The pulled pork was amazing as well but could have had a little more care getting the chunks of fat out. They had plenty of sauces available--they bring you a basket with four different flavors in extra large bottles. Apply liberally! I loved the horseradish in their coleslaw. I've never seen that done before but it's my new favorite. I'll definitely be trying to replicate that at home. My biggest disappointment was the potato salad. It seemed like it was just scooped from a Reser's tub. Maybe not, I don't know if they make it in house, but that's what it reminded me of. I'm giving four stars instead of five because despite being the only person in the restaurant, it wasn't very clean. I had to wipe down my table and there was a big chunk of brisket lying on the floor. I was also pretty unimpressed with the constant foul language coming from the kitchen staff. I realize I'm in the minority on this but I still believe in keeping the atmosphere of a public place professional and family appropriate. So, all in all, top-notch food with one star off for cleanliness and atmosphere. I would definitely pick up here again but might not eat in, depending on the situation. If you enjoy bbq, give it a try!

The gentleman who runs the place is very friendly. I noticed the price for the special was $12.95 but then he told me it was $14.06 with tax. The sign that he has that states special of the day "brisket sandwich" $12.95 and does not state anything about plus tax at all. So that was a surprise. The other thing the sign does not say it comes with a small bag of lays chips either. I guess the chips he gives you is consolation for the fatty, salty, chewy, fatty small two pieces of brisket he puts on the sandwich. Plus who adds lettuce to a brisket sandwich anyways. I took two bites. The first bite was full of fat and tough chewy, salty brisket. The second bite the whole piece of fatty brisket came out from between the buns and the sandwich eating part for me was over. I left the bun, lettuce and pickles on the to go container and tried to choke down a bite or two of some of the salty, fatty, undercooked brisket that remained. To me, brisket should be tender and you should be able to gently bite into it and you get your bite. This was spongy and too tough to even bite into. Then, I went over to the taco truck and got a quesadilla because I was still hungry and their food was not much better either. Oh well not my day at the food carts in downtown Battleground Washington.

As…read moreyou walk up they have a very large outdoor seating area for at least 80 people, the main entrance has Podnah's name posted within a rustic building. The building is a very casual place, as you walk in the friendly staff greet you and ask you to take a seat wherever you like. We decided to sit in the backside of the building it is a very peaceful section by the kitchen, you can smell the amazing smokey scent of the bbq from there. The walls are covered black and white cowboy pictures. As someone mention in their review, parking is a little challenging but we found parking in the neighborhood within 5 min. The Menu is simple and to the point, one page is drinks the other page is the BBQ, We shared the Pit Boss Platter, you will find that it feeds 2-3, you get a 1/4 pound of brisket and pulled pork, 2 pork ribs, 1 link (very good size) cornbread and your choice of 2 sides, we choose the collard greens and the the green chile mac and cheese. Everything was amazing. It was plenty for the two of us that shared it, we actually took some of it home, I also tied in the pickles, the are served with pickled onions and jalapeños (yummy). The BBQ flavor was amazing, nice and smoky , great smoke rings, they table drop in three different sauces, a vinegar oil, a surprisingly tasty mustard sauce and their house bbq sauce, they are all great tasting. My son ordered the 2 meat plate, he loved the Brisket and Ribs, he also tried the Pinto beans with Brisket, they were very tasty. Overall Podnah's lived up to the hype. If you are in the area its worth a try.

There are plenty of really good bbq places in the area that will give you comparable food without that. Neither myself or anyone in my party will be going back while this is still present, sadly.
