Cannot emphasize enough how good the food is. Garlic parmesan chicken tenders were surprisingly moist and definitely garlicky, which I love. The fries are well-seasoned and the batter isn't overwhelming or too thick and the jalapeño bites were delicious. My wife got fried shrimp, which were crispy and light, and mac and cheese bites. The mac and cheese bites were solid. The lovely woman who runs this place was kind enough to slip dessert into our bag, and that was some ridiculously good chocolate cake. Chickpeas on top?? Yowza. Finally, you should follow Krisey's Kitchen on Facebook because she posts the daily menu there and posts updates. That's where I saw she has been not only feeding members of the community at no cost, but she's been organizing a free Thanksgiving dinner for the community. I came here for dinner today, since they had gizzards on the menu (sorry no pictures this time). I haven't had them in ages. I ordered the gizzards plate which came with the sides of the day, a drink and a dessert. For $35 it does seem expensive but the portion size is what makes it worth it. I can easily get 3 meals out of it. Gizzards were fried nicely, and came with a side of Louisiana hot sauce which I loved. There were so many gizzards, much more than I anticipated. Very generous. For the sides it came with red beans and rice, chicken tetrazzini and corn. The red beans and rice are delicious, very flavorful. For the chicken tetrazzini, it was my first time trying it, but a nice creamy pasta. Corn is corn. Sides all came with a large portion. The dessert today was a tiramisu cheesecake, wow it was good. Not too heavy, just perfect. You can tell the love and thought put in to the food, honestly just wonderful food overall. The folks at Krisey's kitchen are also very sweet! read more

We finally got to try Krisey's today and my GOODNESS is it amazing. I haven't even finished and had to come write a review. We had no idea when going how amazingly large the portions would be nor how wonderful she would be. I got the chicken thigh plate and my boyfriend got the pork chop plate. They each came with baked mac and cheese, red beans and rice, corn bread, a dessert and a drink. Each was about $33 before tip. At first I thought "that seems like a lot for a food truck" nope, no no. It was honestly cheap for what you get. Krisey was so kind and so lovely to talk to, and she was so quick and such a delight. The food isn't just abundant it is truly freaking delicious. I haven't even tried the massive piece of cake but it looked amazing. I cannot recommend it enough. read more

Food was out of this world. Crispy chicken, fish, shrimp, fried Mac & cheese (yes delicious ) , all the sides were delicious. The mashed potatoes were creamy and with gravy but you don't need it because they were delicious on their own. The gals Thru in three pastries for free one was pistachio cake and it melted in your mouth yummy the other one was white cake with strawberry cream topping. That was also yummy in the third one was pecan cream cake and that just melted it in your mouth.. I would give it six stars if there was such thing. We had the fried catfish basket. It was on Friday (during Lent) and they had a promotion for two large pieces of catfish for the regular price. This was some excellent catfish. Growing up in Texas, I've had my share of catfish and they do it really well here. We got the potato wedges and hush puppies. The one serving filled up two (older) adults. The potatoes were hot and seasoned perfectly. The hush puppies were a blast from my past. Service was excellent, a great sense of humor and very helpful in my quest to figure out what to order. I recommend this place, if you like good southern catfish, then get on down there. You can thank me later. read more

Genuinely so good. As an Italian I am very impressed with her million dollar spaghetti. It is on par with some of my family member's recipes. Everything is cooked to perfection. The chicken, crispy and juicy. The catfish, falls apart so easily but still perfectly crisp. The pound cake perfectly sweet and not overbearing. I felt like I was skimp .. there can soda was off brand Walmart brand soda they are cheap with their food , they can thrive if they wasn't stingy with their portion sizes and pricing /using knock off brands for soda .. it's not many soul food places here and I would've supported this place if they wasn't trying overpricing people and actually had sides !! (they had nothing but potatoes ) and better portions .. another thing my roll was a burger bun !!! That's cheap asf why couldn't they use real dinner rolls .. maybe if they sold the fried chicken alone for a decent price I would consider other than that not worth it .. not supporting a business that's cheap with their customers read more

This is the second time that I have eaten at Krisey's kitchen. The first time, she was located on 4th Plain. Her food was excellent and she had several entrees with homemade sides. Today May 9, 2022, was a whole new experience. Her Oysters were breaded, the type that are frozen from box. My previous experience her Oysters were fresh, breaded and fried to perfection. We also had the Pork chops, our first experience they were seasoned moist and super tasty. Today they were dry with no seasoning and slightly moist. Plus the only side were fries. Went for a walk down to.the food carts on a Sunday afternoon. There are a good amount of carts closed on Sundays but I've heard good things about this cart and have been wanting to try them out. We got some wings (half buffalo and half Nashville hot). It came with sides of collard greens, dirty rice, mac n cheese, cornbread and corn on the cob. My boys got oreo milkshakes which we all said were the best milkshakes ever. It came with a desert which we chose banana cheesecake. Service was amazing even though they were fairly busy. The amount of food you get is actually insane. And it's delicious. Share a meal and you'll have plenty. The customer service is the best I've ever had. She gives you recommendations, provides details about menu items, steers you in the right direction! My only complaint is the food carts in BG have odd hours so check the hours before you go. read more

Food was absolutely delicious! The two ladies were very helpful and informative. They helped guide me through the menu, first time coming and definitely coming back. 10/10 would recommend. Place was chill and laid back. I got three smoked chicken legs, two smoked sausage, two baked potatoes, two smoked corn, red velvet cake and four deep fried Oreos and four golden deep fried Oreos and a Diet Coke for 40$ plus tip. I don't often give a 5 star review but this food truck deserves it. First time ordering there yesterday. I knew I wanted the fried chicken plate which on this day came with mac 'n cheese, Jambalaya, bbq baked beans, chocolate pudding cake and Hawaiian roll. The chicken was wonderful. I am not a fan of baked beans usually but I could have eaten a quart of them. My husband isn't a rice fan but he devoured the jambalaya. The car smelled so good on the way home and opening the containers we were confronted by such huge portions. Looking forward to leftovers today. The woman helping along with the ordering process and cooking the wonderful food was named Pooh and was so helpful and friendly. We will definitely be coming back. Maybe try the catfish. read more
