I tried this place for the first time, after hit and miss, with them be closed for several reasons. However, I called today to make sure they were opened and they answered. So, sure enough I made a trip out there...It's a good 25 minute drive from where I live. I ordered the Huli Huli Chicken and it was some of the best chicken I ever had! Even with a plastic fork and knife, it was super tender and moist. Grilled perfectly and tasted so darn delicious! They gave me a side of Teriyaki, which I barely used on my rice, since the Chicken was flavorful enough! The Mac Salad was very good as well! If it seems a little on the speedy side, it cost me almost $17 with tax, they justify by giving a big portion of Chicken and rice. It's enough to split among two people. Next time I make a trip out there, I would like to try their Garlic Chicken or their Poke dish. I wanted to try their dessert, but I didn't see a Chocolate dessert listed on the menu. I heard so many good things about this restaurant so when I happened to be on this side of town, I had to try it. The hype did not disappoint. The woman who took my order, pretty sure she's one of the owners, was very friendly and kind. We chatted for a bit as I was waiting for my order which was very nice. I ordered the pork katsu which comes with Mac salad and rice. Food came out very quickly and when I was handed the box I was so surprised at how heavy it was. You get A LOT of food for your buck which is awesome. Everything was delicious, hot, and fresh! This is located on the side of a mini mart, initially when I pulled up I thought it wasn't there but then finally saw it and had to turn around. Nice food truck with lots of yummy options. Excited to come back and try it again. However they did say they were closing for the rest of the year for winter break. Also, take note this is cash only! Luckily I had some cash but they have an ATM in the mini mart it's next to if you don't have any. read more

Really excited to try this place. Ordered the teriyaki chicken. The folks are super nice and very hardworking. Best thing about my meal was the Mac salad. I really liked how they made this item. I wasn't a fan of the teriyaki chicken. The flavor was good but a little sweet for me. I was eating it grilled without sauce and the meat was very dry. Not sure if the chicken is marinated overnight as all the color and flavor is on the surface. I think the thinnesses of the protein and potentially no marinating overnight makes a piece that small, dry, which is what I got. The rice was, well you know, white rice. This food truck has been on my list for quite some time. We were finally able to try it today. We arrived around noon on a Friday. Only one person ahead of us and the food came out fast. Service is friendly and prices reasonable. They take cash payments only, so plan accordingly. We ordered the chicken teriyaki and kalbi ribs. I also noticed they carry Hawaiian nectar drinks and had to get one! Both meals came with 2 scoops of rice, mac salad, and a small container of teriyaki sauce. Everything was delicious! The sauce provided was the perfect amount. The food truck is located on the side of Sunny's Market on Minnehaha. There's plenty of parking available. They no longer have sandwiches ( ah, who needs bread!), but have added Mac nut mahi mahi that I'll try next time. Today I went with my standby, the kalua pig plate lunch with generous portions of pig, mac salad and two huge scoops of rice. Could serve two but I'm not sharing! The bread for the veggie Patty was soft, the sauce was delicious and fresh lettuce and tomato inside. The veggie Patty was a bit crispy. I'd recommend adding a bit of moisture to the recipe. I love that there is a vegetarian option. Growing up in Hawai'i I would usually just order rice and Mac salad when I went to plate lunch places. My friends ordered chicken katsu, spam musubi, and poke. They both are from Big Island and gave their approval. The desert looks small for $5 but oh my goodness, the buggahz is WORTH it!!! This little truck is parked beside the liquor store on the side facing NE St John's Rd. There's a lot of parking around which is a big plus and the service was quick. I ordered the chicken katsu plate ($11) with 2 spamisubi ($2.50/each) and I wasn't disappointed. The chicken katsu was perfectly crunchy and the sauce was the perfect amount of savory. we tried this place after driving for 12 hours from california. amazing food and amazing hospitality. we got loco mocos, teriyaki chicken and the kalbi, everything was cooked to perfection with love and care. it was a food truck but they had a table outside and offered us chairs and gave us cheesecake. they even set up a speaker for us to listen to music. definitely recommend trying read more

Got everything pictured for under $50 (had leftovers too). Greeted with friendly staff, they were busy with 3 orders before us but got order out within 15 minutes. WORTH THE WAIT!!!!
