Terrible Experience - Unprofessional and Rude Security Guard I will never spend another dollar at this establishment. The blonde security guard with a man bun was rude, power-hungry, and far from professional. I understand the need to enforce rules, but his condescending attitude reflects poorly on the business. After a long day, I wanted to take my family out for appetizers and drinks. As we approached the door, we were told it was a 21+ venue, which was surprising considering there were clearly children playing in the arcade. While I questioned the inconsistency, we accepted the explanation and began walking away. Out of nowhere, the security guard started yelling at my son without provocation telling him to live and learn. When I confronted him about yelling at us, he said it was his right to yell at who he wants to as he is a "bouncer". In the meantime, he let a group of girls go in without identification. Lots of TVs everywhere, some games for the kiddos, and a ton of seating. Unfortunately, the food didn't match. I had the Margherita Flatbread and it was okay. We were visiting from out of town and were looking for a place to watch the Monday night football games and boy was this a great choice. TV's everywhere! And even some of the largest screens I have ever seen outside of an actual stadium. The selection of beverages (adult and otherwise) was great and the menu looked absolutely delicious. We were greeted right away, seated right away, and didn't wait more than 30 seconds before the server was there to take our order. Great experience so far for sure. Since there were 6 of us we decided to abuse the appetizer menu. We ordered the Nachos, Loaded Cheesy Chorizo Skins, Backyard Tenders, the Kung Pao Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and a side of Brussels Sprouts. The $18 nachos came out first and the portion size was not up to the $18 price tag. They were also cold and the chips were quite soggy especially at the bottom where the canned cheese sauce seemed to pool. Flavor was good though. A few minutes later the Backyard Tenders, Kung Pao Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and Brussels Sprouts arrived. The tenders were crispy and juicy and done well but were cold and really had no flavor to them. The fries on the side were crispy and would have been better warm. The Kung Pao Chicken Lettuce Wraps were also cold, quite soggy, and flavorless. Most of the lettuce was so soggy that if you tried to make a wrap, it just fell apart and again, there was very little flavor. Finally in round 2 the Brussels Sprouts were so blackened that they were mostly ash and were also cold. The crushed red pepper in them did give them a bit of a kick but all in all quite disappointing. About 20 min later we did finally get the Loaded Cheesy Chorizo Skins we ordered. We were excited that we had forgotten all about them. They were lukewarm and had good flavor but there were maybe 3 or 4 tiny pieces of chorizo on the top. With about 1 quarter left in the game and even with the disappointing food experiences we had so far we decided to try out the Bananas Foster Egg Roll. It looked divine on the menu and the concept sounded delicious. This dish actually arrived WARM with ice cream in the center topped with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle surrounded by 4 banana egg rolls. The banana egg roll had no seasoning so was basically a deep-fried banana with a quasi crunchy shell. Had they added some cinnamon and/or brown sugar to the banana egg roll it would have been delicious. If you got all of the components into one spoon it was palatable but left a lot to be desired. The game watching atmosphere is amazing and will be even more so when the weather cools and they can open up all the garage doors and the drinks and drink specials were great but the food was very lackluster. read more

My husband came here for 3 days straight during March Madness. I then got the chance to go myself and I have to say this place is great! Just what that area needed. An awesome, open, wall to wall TV, sports bar! Great selection of beers and spirits. The service was awesome. My husband said the food was fine but they are working on their menu so I have hopes of some good bar food. I loved how big and spacious it was inside. Almost every wall opens up for when the weather is good. They had some games to play and lots of Instagram worthy places to take photos. We will definitely be back. It is such a disappointment that this is what the Desert Ridge Marketplace decides to bring into the community. We walked in and it was very loud and busy. We were sat at a table that was dirty with food spilled on it. The waitress came by to take drink orders and accidentally put her hand down on the spilled food but did not even acknowledge it or offer to clean it up. The menu barely has any options. There is no menu for this location online so when we pulled another location's menu we saw some things we wanted to try, but those items were not on the menu at the restaurant. Very disappointing. We were totally turned off by this place and ended up walking out. On the way out I tripped over someone's dog .. seriously?! At Backyard it's pasta with a few peas and carrots (that appear to be from a bag of frozen peas and carrots) and alfredo sauce (menu doesn't say what type of sauce, although it does say lemon, so I thought perhaps a light lemon / wine type sauce.) We went here about a week ago, it was a Wednesday night at about 7:30 or 8. It was super busy inside but we were seated immediately, the girl wasn't very excited to be there. Our server was nice enough. We got a salad and a margarita flat bread, they were both good. It was WAY too cold in there. They had a girl playing live music which wasn't bad but a little too loud. When she took a break they put on regular music that was way too loud. I know this place is dog friendly and I do bring my dog in public like the next dog mom but they need to take note from hula and make a rules card for owners, and enforce them! I had really high hopes for this place but it missed the mark for me. It's not horrible, but it's not great. The place itself has a nice atmosphere with live music and games but the food and prices aren't worth it for me. The sticky ribs were SO salty that me and my boyfriend were up every hour of the night drinking water (I'm not kidding), and the backyard burger was decent but nothing amazing. The michelada was warm so I couldn't even enjoy the alcohol aspect of the place. The server was also not good, she was standoffish the whole time and then quite literally tossed our check onto the table while walking by without stopping, saying anything, or even looking which was quite shocking because I myself am a server and would never do that. I'm confused on the name, the backyard and the lack of backyard things and wish there was more interactive things. We got a little bit of everything to try and the food is definitely not great. I think the wings and the brookie are the only things I would order again and probably only for HH bc it's overpriced as to be expected. The live music and open air concept was great. The band was great as well. We had air conditioners and blowers blowing on us and we were in a wind tunnel where our table was and it was freezing. We asked them seven times to turn them down as did the ladies at the table next to us and they couldn't figure out how to do it and eventually we all had winter jackets on that we grabbed from the car . I think this place is good to go grab drinks and watch sports or listen to live music. I feel like they need improved appetizers and more appetizer choices.
