Awesome little place to meet friends in the morning for coffee. The coffee is strong. Not everybody's favorite but i love it.

I come here all the time and spend $20-30 at least 2x -a week. Today I was a part of the most dishonest customer service I have ever experienced. I usually get 2 large iced lattes, the girl rung me up, I paid and waited at the end. She came back with 2 small iced lattes, I kindly let her know that I had ordered 2 large, and instead of having to remake it she could just dump them into the larger cup and add whatever the extra stuff is. Well, I quite literally WATCHED her pour the small cups into the large and fill the remainder of empty space in both cups with ICE. I when she came back I asked her if I had paid for the smaller ones and she took a second to think about it and said yes while averting her eyes. I then called her out on it saying "oh okay, that's fine then cause you just topped them off with ice" I checked my bank statement and I indeed had paid for the larger iced lattes. needless to say. Today was my LAST visit to this coffee shop. Clearly cannot trust them to not do shady things to food/drinks you are consuming. read more

Funky name, reminiscent of a beach with a 'tude. Not exactlhy how you would describe Bad Ass' fit to Naples. On Sunday morning, there were empty tables and no line at the Bad Ass counter, while a half block away at Janes' and Tony's on Third, there were patrons waiting and lines for take-out. Bad Ass still thinks it's on a funky beach, with untidy shop space and an offer of lots to drink with very little to eat. I had a 100% Hawaiian coffee (??) and a mash up of cherries and chocolate in a pretty dry scone for about $6.. Florida's had to have been a State that is wary of how both its farmers and its farmworkers are treated, Bad Ass, on th eother hand, is pretty cavalier about the ag industry in its home State Hawaii. Kona Coffee comes from about 700 family run farms on roughly a 30 mile long swath of volcanic mountainside. Labelling requirements are enforceable by the State of Hawaii, but not by the feds. So, Bad Ass continues to tout the Kona name without helping the industry gain some Stateside protections. Guess I'll go wait in the long line around the corner the next time. "Bad Ass" is not the first adjective I'd use to describe Naples, FL but I think this place might actually do well among the seemingly conservative elderly that create Naples' foundation. VARIETY Covering a large chalkboard (favored medium by coffee houses) are dozens of hot/cold coffee, blends, and tea choices. There were enough choices to please my varied group. Need a souvenir? You can walk out decked in Bad Ass Coffee t-shirts, keychains, mugs and more. A general consensus-- Any cold coffee with "added flavors" resulted in a very weak "added flavor" (more like a dashing after taste) and a watered down coffee. Regular coffee was pretty good though. SERVICE Too many selections or newbie team? During my recent order, the young barrista looked flustered and took a while to first remember what went into making my order. After making our coffee, they quickly yell what it is then leave it on the counter and turn their backs... is this to avoid questions? This is also a recipe for customers stealing. SURROUNDINGS It's an oasis-- really! You step away from the poshy white pillars of Naples's 3rd Street and into a faux Hawaiian tiki lounge. It's clean, comfy, and positioned to provide relaxing conversation between patrons. read more

Bad Ass Coffee is my favorite coffee shop in Naples, I go several times per week. It's a bit of a drive for me (10-15 minutes, versus the 5 it takes to get to the nearest Starbucks in King's Lake), but definitely worth it. My usual is iced coffee, but I sometimes switch to hot, and both are very good, CONSISTENTLY. For the 3 years I worked at Starbucks, I usually drank anything but coffee while at work (a lot of iced black tea lemonades), believing that I just didn't care for coffee. It wasn't until trying other coffee shops that I realized that NOT ALL COFFEE TASTES BITTER AND SLIGHTLY BURNED, ahem. They have a lot of options as far as syrups (including coconut!), and a separate menu of specialty drinks. They also do soft-serve ice cream. Free refills, free Wi-Fi, some outdoor seating, clean bathrooms. The staff is friendly, their 'frequent shopper' punch card system is a nice touch. One downside (for some) is that there's a TV, and it's usually tuned to Fox News. But it's usually muted, and the remote sits on a table between two comfy chairs, inviting customers to change the channel. :P read more

Great walk in coffee shop here in olde Naples. It's a cute place tucked back in a little strip mall right after all the hustle and bustle of 3rd st. They have good coffee, espresso and baked goods. I didn't try the little donuts but they looked so good!! I had a plain drip coffee (I'm boring) w cream and simple sweetener. YUM! They also have liquid brown sugar and a few other sweeteners for the drinks. I like a good local coffee shop and this is one for the books :) Tip: it's kinda tucked away so don't think it's not there it is...right before the 7/11. read more

Completely overrated, tacky, poorly prepared coffee. The way this place bills itself you would think you were going to have a cup of Intelligentsia in Chicago. Overroasted beans make a burnt tasting cup, further exacerbated by the insanely high serving temperature of the brewed coffee. This is the one instance in which you'd be better off at Starbucks. read more

Bad ass coffee is BAD ASS! Great drinks and nice people. Located in the heart of downtown. They have wonderful decorations and the outside seating is cozy. I just moved to Naples and have been trying new places. This one is one I'll definitely be going back to. read more

So went for coffee because we had a coupon. They screwed up our order. There was no distinction in taste between a cappuccino and cafe au lei, tasted the same. Temperature of coffee was inconsistent from cup to cup. Some coffee was warm and They don't boil their water for coffee and we had someone whose stomach can't tolerate that. Other coffee was way too hot, burnt our tongues. They don't have brown/raw sugar out. You gotta ask for it, and they give out those precious sugar packets one at a time. Prices are cheap. Fun, nice coffee shop. They just can't seem to get their bathroom working. We have been going here since May, a couple times a week and the bathroom is "Out of Order" most of our visits. They spent a lot of money on expanding their seating area I would think the bathroom wouldn't be too much to get operable. read more

I liked this place and would definitely frequent it if I lived in the area. The staff was friendly and even told us about a place that had breakfast sandwiches nearby since they said they couldn't make an egg and cheese happen there. I appreciated that even if the suggested place wasn't that great. As for the coffee, I got an iced chai tea and it was delicious. They had the relaxed coffee shop vibe down. My new Naples coffee house. I am new to coffee and only drink espresso drinks (iced latte is my preference). I come to Naples 2x a year so I wanted to check out the local baristas and came to Bad Ass on my last day. I found the coffee excellent and the prices very good. My new go-to place. read more

A sigh of relief from the typical Starbucks joint. Not a huge place, but they still managed to keep the machinery noises to a minimum and not treat customers like cattle. Delicious blueberry muffin and awesome Kona coffee. I stayed way longer than I planned to and experienced this place in both peak and calm hours. The staff was fast and friendly. Caters mainly to retirees and vacationers but still worth a visit. read more

Go for the name, stay for the coffee. Sit inside, outside.. walk around 3rd street... head over to the pier. The options are endless when you grab a cup o' joe from B.A.C. I've now tried their specialty drinks, their Kona, and their regular coffee (hot and iced) and have never been disappointed. Neither in the actual coffee nor with our service. Staff is friendly, helpful, and always with a smile. They also have a great program where you can ship coffee overseas for our troops. A *little* pricey, but not really compared to other coffee houses around the globe let alone in the area. C'mon: you're in downtown old Naples near a Tommy Bahama restaurant, Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vine stores, and multi-million dollar houses... Even a Hinckley Yacht store is nearby! You do have to expect things to be a bit more money for the million-dollar ambiance alone but, honestly, their coffee is certainly worth the price tag. If you're headed over to the Boat Parade this weekend or just out and about after the Farmers Market on Saturday, head over to Bad Ass Coffee to put a little extra energy in your step and a smile on your face! read more

Snickerlicious* I love Bad Ass! This place is the BEST...seriously. My daughter asks to go all the time. When we go to the beach she has to have a smoothie and I get my coffee. Everyone there is friendly and they've never mistaken anything. I've had weeks where I've had time to stop in every morning. This is such a cute spot in downtown Naples and sits right next to a cute surf shop. Customer service is always great and the beach themes inside go along with the naples area. The shop is a couple streets away from the beach and is a perfect way to start your beach day. read more

We visit this coffee shop about twice a month. We absolutely love the Kona and Kona blends. If you. Ask for heavy cream, keto friendly creamer, they will provide for a small charge. The boldness of the dark roast, another favorite, is right on point with plenty of body. You may have to wait in line but it's always worth it. read more

Kona coffee! Great story behind the quality of the beans. We had a latte each day we stayed in Naples and the staff was always friendly and made our orders accurately. They could expand the coffee shop to include bakery, or partner with local bakeries to sell their goods. Its such a good brand, I'd like to see some cleaver t-shirts and swag. They did have some t-shirts that just didn't do it. Invest in a marketing firm to help create more swag and you will increase your followers. Best wishes read more

While the name is attention-grabbing, so is the coffee! Their name derives from the donkeys that carried heavy loads of coffee up and down the mountainside of Hawaii. They serve Hawaiian roasts with Kona beans flown in from the Hawaiian islands.  Kona being the most sought-after coffee beans in the world, this place prides itself in serving such a rarity. It was voted best coffee shop in Naples last year (2016). Not a coffee drinker like my wife but occasionally I need a caffine fix. This was one of the few places that kept me up and I had the blended drink. My wife had an iced coffee and she liked they had coffee cubes in the drink so it doesnt get watered down. She said its def stronger than starbucks but not as sweet which she likes. I only gave it 4 cause they closed at 7 on friday yet ont he site it says open till 9 PM. read more

The drip and iced coffee is good. Not the best I've ever had but certainly enjoyable.

All the beans are sub quality, including their specialty "Kona" beans which are so over roasted and old that it just tastes like something between Starbucks and gas station coffee. Lattes have so much syrup in them that I'm liable to go into diabetic shock. Good staff and atmosphere however. read more

Come on guys. Went for coffee and closed til November 6th according to sign on door. We were there this weekend and didn't see any warning. I drove 30 minutes for coffee and to enjoy chatting with the staff. I look forward to reopening. Temporary Closing was a little abrupt. Heck maybe there was a sign and we missed it.
