I was excited to try this place after seeing how much they rep Hawai'i. Having lived on O'ahu I was expecting this to be like the coffee shops on island. Unfortunately this wasn't the case. No Aloha whatsoever. The place was dead quiet with no actual vibe. In Hawai'i you walk into a coffee shop and the first thing you hear is Hawaiian reggae followed by a warm "Aloha" greeting. I didn't hold this against them though because they probably weren't trained to create an Aloha experience. I asked about non-dairy milk and the girl told me that they had none. In 2019(almost 2020) that is unheard of so I clarified by naming different non-dairy milks. She then realized that they do in fact have soy, coconut, and almond milk. Next I asked what flavors were vegan and she replied that she had no idea. I couldn't believe it. Seeing the look on my face she asked the guy who was working. Her let her know that all the syrups are vegan but none of the sauces are. Finally I ordered my coffee and the guy asked her what I ordered. She looked at me and told me to tell him my order. I'm patient and understanding so once again, didn't hold it against her. My coffee was ok, not great but I'm still giving 3 stars because the kids working there were really nice. If you're associating your business with Hawai'i it should have enough Aloha to make those of us who know Hawaiian culture feel like we are actually back home. Also, a little education on the alternatives for dietary preferences would go a long way. I get that maybe Naples doesn't have as many vegans as other places but the employees should still know how to service us if we go into your business. With that said, if you're in the area stop in. As a business owner I'm all about supporting local so I hope the owners really take my review into consideration. It was nice that I was able to get some work done while sipping my coffee. They have WiFi and plenty of seating inside and outside. It doesn't hurt to check it out. read more

If you're reading this, I'm going to save you some time. Having read various Yelp reviews with 4+ star reviews--only to walk in and see the "We proudly serve LaVazza" sign, I had concluded Naples had no serious coffee culture. Obviously the name conjures up sufficient bravado to justify a visit. The people in front of me were in shell-shock over a $50 price tag on a bag of beans. Not that price suggests quality. But it certainly says something about your beans when you can move them at a certain price point. They focus on Hawaiian beans here. I'm used to Africa/South American, so the flavor was different. But very, very good. Strong. Focused. Earthy. They clearly know how to pull a shot here. And the result is something worth venturing away from your Nespresso machine for. One minor nit: I wish they used "Califia Barista Blend" almond milk instead of "Silk". But one can't have everything. Do yourself a favor and ignore A) the incandescent ratings for all the other coffee joints on 3rd and 5th avenue and... B) The one-star reviews for this place which are coming from people who's taste buds have clearly been sanded off by their Keurig machine. You won't be disappointed. read more

"BEST...COFFEE...EVER..." My husband and I literally went here everyday for 2 weeks straight, sometimes twice in one day! It's that good! We LOVE this location because the people here are as wonderful as there coffee! The staff are so friendly and even had our orders waiting for us while we parked the car a few times. They knew it was us and had it ready when we walked in the door! My husband would live there if he could. Definitely an amazing place to check out. Cool vibe! What's wonderful about it too is that they take the Resident Club Card so we get a discount on every order - every time... which is why my husband and I could not help but go everyday for 2 weeks when we first settled into the area. My husband and I stopped into Bad Ass Coffee as we were walking on 3rd Avenue. The latte was Excellent and was well worth the wait. Price was reasonable - especially for Naples. Staff was friendly and knew many of the local customers by name. We liked the casual laid back feel of this coffee shop and will return. read more

Upon entering the store at about 4:55 the employee barked at us "just so you know we close in one minute!!" We were just buying bagged coffee. He turned away three more customers by snapping at them "We're closed!!" as they walked in the door. Never felt more uncomfortable or unwelcome. I suppose they do so well they don't mind losing customers bc they defiantly lost my business and unfortunately made me feel very uncomfortable. read more

I'm a week late in leaving this review...I absolutely LOVE this place!! I'll start off by saying that I was curious to know about what the inside looked like with a bad ass name like that, pun intended... and I have to say it was almost like stepping into an island paradise. I ordered an iced coffee, can't exactly remember what it was called, but I can tell you it was tasty!! Probably the best iced coffee (after Barnie's closed) I've had in years! So, I'm a trained barista exploring the world of coffee. Drove to Bad Ass from Weston, FL. 1.5 hours each way. BTW horrible name for a coffee shop with so much Aloha. It's an oxymoron, but I digress. Espresso shot pulled on a Nuova Simonelli machine was better than the shot pulled on a La Marzocco at Brew Urban in Ft. Lauderdale. Needless to say, I wasn't expecting much after the 16 year old barista put the portafilter in wrong and it shot to the floor like a rocket when she turned the pump on. But the second shot she pulled tasted better than Brew Urban's shot. Still not high end, though, but better than a Starbucks shot. Was the Baby Barista lucky? Maybe. Maybe she has a really good consistent level tamp.... But, in any event... it was still very good and enjoyable. Kona coffee was weak (had that sitting in the airpot too long watered down taste). Probably my fault for coming in at noon. I'm sure it would taste better if it had been a little fresher. The woman running the show was wonderful and helpful. Price for a flavored latte, an espresso, and a Kona coffee plus cookie and cinnamon bun bite was about $10. Granted the food is small, but that is a GREAT deal!!! Especially given the location...which is stellar. Seating was very comfortable indoor and outdoor. Very friendly customers as well... My 1 month old baby probably helped with that. But still, a little aloha goes a long way. Walked to the beach after the coffee. I will be back. I may also put on my skinny jeans and black t-shirt and try the Illy cafe nearby.
