Always a solid options for a quick meal at a decent price. The restaurant is clean with a few spots to sit inside and plenty of seating on the patio outside. The Al Pastor is my favorite, and the taco de papa is a good choice as well. Love the chips and guacamole and the selection of different salsas. There's street parking in front and a small lot in the back.

Shrimp. Tacos. Por. Vida. So dang good. Great sauce, hella good chips, guac is a solid 7/10.

A few friends of mine had been telling me to try out Bad Ass Street Tacos and I finally made it with a friend for lunch. I love their space and decor! Super cute, colorful and welcoming. Their donkey logo is silly and loved the murals painted throughout the place. They have a small indoor seating area but their outdoor patio is where it's at! Shaded and comfortable it was the popular spot to sit for lunch. Julisa the cashier and server was super lovely. She made us feel welcome and was prompt in getting our order taken and out to us. She was lovely and deserves her own kudos. I also found the prices to be reasonable enough. This isn't a hole in the wall cheap spot per se but for Thousand Oaks I would say it was reasonably priced. The menu had all of the classics from tacos, burritos, ceviche, and more. I like that you can get any main dish with whichever choice of protein you would like. My friend went with the ceviche and a taco, and I went with the guacamole and some tacos. We had a good variety to be able to say we tried some of the popular items on their menu. My favorite bites of the day were definitely the guacamole and chips as a starter and my grilled fish taco. As simple as guacamole and chips are, the guacamole was fresh and was primarily avocado, which I love not a lot of filler of onion/tomatoes... You know what I mean. Out of the tacos I tried, I would say the grilled fish had the best flavor and their homemade tortillas are bomb. Surprisingly, the meats weren't my favorite and I don't think I'd get the asada or Pastor again. Maybe I like a more authentic or fat year piece of meat but these were just OK. My friend said the same thing, her Taco was OK but she much preferred her ceviche and chips. Seems like the kind of place we'd come back for an Agua Frescas and some appetizers to split. Glad we tried the place, the service was really good and it's definitely a cute atmosphere. There are a better taco options in the area, but I could see why this place is popular for business men and women on their lunch break.

Traveling on 101, pulled over for a quick lunch and we were not disappointed! Tried the Pollo Asada Taco and the Pescado Taco. The Pescado taco was flavorful and delicious. Multiple flavors of Salsa to choose from! Good ambiance and service was good.

The tacos here are always delicious! I enjoyed the new shrimp taco they had. They have some of the best tortillas, super soft and yummy. The staff brings your food to you and are attentive. They have a great outdoor dining area as well :)

I have been to Bad Ass many times and really enjoy the Tacos here, as the Burritos are simply overpriced now after price increases... I am a CEO of a company that consults to Restaurants on Marketing, Technology POS systems, and Sales skills so know the industry well... The place was well run with friendly and focused staff until about a year ago when they started to hire really dysfunctional Gen Z dudes that can NOT seem to focus, flow, make proper change, and there is no "focus factor" of listening for a few seconds to get the order right, they always force you to repeat what you said 2-3 times, when I only order 2 tacos & a water cup.... Then the new Manager heard me get upset with the dysfunctional pretend cashier, and instead of correcting or helping him focus, told me that I can't correct him by telling him if he doesn't focus he looks kind of stupid... then I realized the Manager is the fool who hired this jelly brain Gen Z and gave him no real training... this is like a Bar Rescue TV show episode now, so order ahead online and skip the cashier experience! (this is why so many places are going to self-serv kiosks and AI drive-through ordering now)

For the low, low price of $67.92, Badass Street Tacos will gladly serve you a regular fountain drink, an average carne asada quesadilla, carne asada nachos packed with stale chips and what looked like chili beans?, four al pastor tacos, and a small shrimp burrito with extra cheese--and somehow make you regret every dollar of it. If miniature burritos are your thing, you're in luck. Mine came small enough to qualify as an appetizer, and the carne asada throughout the meal had that special rubbery texture that lets you chew, and chew, and question your life decisions. The al pastor? Dry enough to pass for museum-grade. The corn tortillas were thick, bland, and required the kind of effort usually reserved for wilderness survival training. As for trying to actually interact with the staff, don't get your hopes up. The cashier and every employee behind the counter seem to stand with their backs to customers at all times. If you're hoping to ask for extra salsa, napkins, or anything at all, get ready to raise your voice--or wave your arms--because you'll be invisible otherwise. The music so loud you can barely hear yourself chewing on that asada. And to top it all off, there are no prices on the menu. When asked, the cashier simply explained that the cost of the meat "is always changing." Convenient. And don't worry about leftovers--there won't be any. Not because the food is irresistible, but because you'll be done with it long before packing anything to go becomes an option. Badass Street Tacos lives up to its name, just not in the way you'd hope. If you're hungry for disappointment, this is the spot.

They are serving up some SOLID authentic tacos here. After eyeballing this place on Yelp, I wanted to come check them out and I was thankful that I did! Nice little spot with seating indoor and outdoor. You will find a nice little menu with obviously their speciality being in tacos. I decided to sample a few of their meats. I tried the asada, al pastor, chorizo, and carnitas tacos. Honestly they were all good but the chorizo was the best! Such a good taco, highly reccomend. If your in the area and craving some tacos, come check them out. Thanks Bad Ass Street tacos for the great lunch. We will defenitly stop by when in the area again.

Carne asada and short rib tacos

The meats on the tacos were cold. The tortillas were warm but cold meats (ordered carne asada, (6) cold and tough, also ordered the short rib which was ok, very salty we also got the lengua (very greasy) Tried the spicy and mild salsas and both were like liquid salt. I don't know how people alive this place up to 4 stars. Very deciding reviews. I was really hoping for good tacos hence the name bad ass tacos but it was such a disappointment and waste of money. I wouldn't give it any star but I have to at least give one for complete this review. Kudos to those who loves this place.

The tacos here were delicious and I really like the vibe and decor here. They did a great job at making it fun and having an excellent variety of tacos on their menu. The food was tasty and made to order quickly, prices and portions are fair. There is something for everyone on their menu, very tasty salsa, and great service.

I was shopping all day and super hungry. A burrito sounded delicious so I hopped on Yelp and found this establishment. I read a review that said if you're perusing Yelp, look no further, so I ordered a burrito online for pickup. I received an email that it would be ready at 1:41. I picked it up at 1:51 and it was lukewarm at best. I was bummed, but in a hurry and it still tasted delicious and hit the spot. The place was poppin', so I'm glad I put my order in beforehand. It seemed like a great spot to hang out with friend and was welcoming.

And in a way, that's exactly what El Sancho Cantina is: an escape. A secret. A little taste of something else. Whether you slide in for lunch, happy hour, or dinner, El Sancho is where you come to cheat on your routine. Tucked into Thousand Oaks, it's a getaway hidden in plain sight. Sit at the bar, let the cool breeze drift through, and allow the Spanish ballads to work their magic. For a moment, you'll forget where you are--and believe you've wandered into a dreamy cantina somewhere deep in Mexico. Start with the "El Viejo"--their riff on an Old Fashioned. Let the applewood smoke swirl above the glass as you lean in. The aroma hits first, then the deep flavors of añejo tequila and Mexican whiskey settle in with smooth confidence. Sip slow. This isn't a race--it's a seduction. If you're looking for something a little lighter--a healthy balance between indulgence and intention--try the two taco plate with the green salad substitution. I went for one Potato taco, one Shredded Chicken taco, and swapped out the rice and beans for a salad of mixed greens and cucumber, dressed with balsamic vinaigrette and a squeeze of fresh lime. The flavors were bright, clean, and satisfying. I walked away full--but not heavy. If I was meeting my Sancha after, I could've easily gone for a stroll. Maybe even dessert. But don't let me lead you down the wrong path--the tacos and cocktails are already all the temptation you need. And if that post-lunch lull starts to creep in, fight back with the "El Cafecito"--a soulful wake-up call of Licor 43, Kahlúa, cold brew coffee, and chocolate bitters. My personal pick over an espresso martini--bold, smooth, and unapologetically delicious. So yes, you might be cheating on SoCal for an hour with Mexico vibes, but El Sancho doesn't judge. In fact, it invites you back--with open arms, a strong pour, and just the right amount of trouble.

I already know I'll be back for lunch because the tacos and micheladas looked very tempting. I came in for breakfast though, so that was my focus on this visit. I ordered the rojo chilaquiles, no meat, with an over-medium egg and this dish was a 10/10. The red sauce (almost orange) was packed with flavor without being spicy (a kindness I appreciated at 10am), and the tortilla chips somehow stayed perfectly crunchy. Texturally? A dream. This was one of the best chilaquiles dishes I've had in a very long time, especially in the 805 so I'll definitely be back for these again soon. Portions were perfect and while the dish was simple, it was well executed. I washed it all down with a refreshing jamaica agua fresca. Last note: don't skip the dessert counter. I left with a flan cake, and next time I'm trying their chocoflan hybrid (highly recommended by the staff). This spot is a great local establishment and I really hope more people check them out.
