An excellent addition to the Northgate scene. The food is excellent, and service is fast. I had the tacos. I'll be trying the different menu items in the future. However, I just have one criticism. It is a bit expensive for what it is. I mean $12 for chicken tenders from a food truck is a bit much, at least for me. Cane's or Layne's has way better value for money than this. Finally a good chicken place near the university in north gate! If you are craving some Nashville style fried chicken sandwich, definitely the spot for that. The sandwich is pretty big, chicken is cooked nicely, and the sandwich overall is pretty good. Only downside is the price, $11.90 for a chicken sandwich! (Just the sandwich) that said though, I think I will still crave it from time to time, so I definitely recommend trying this place out. UPDATE: the very next day after this incident happened, we received a call first thing in the morning from the main office. They were extremely apologetic about what happened the previous day and went above and beyond to make it right. I can say that my opinion of this place has been changed, and we look forward working with them again in the future. I'm amending my star review because it's clear that this company cares about service and this incident was a one-off. We hired this food truck for an event, with a 3-3:30 arrival time, service for 4-7pm for 100+ people. At 3:55, we had to call and find out why they had not arrived. They said at 3pm they discovered that their generator wasn't working and that they were trying to find a new one. We understood, and gave them a bit more time to locate one and show up. At 4:20, after guests started arriving, after not hearing from them, we had to call them back, and they offered to bring us food for our event but not a truck. Not ideal, but okay. I ordered 90 entrees, and said "can you be here in an hour?" And I was told yes, they would be here in an hour. At 6:20, after multiple calls and "we will be there in 20 minutes" type answers, we still had no food, and luckily our other food truck (Raging Bull) that we had hired did a great job serving all of our guests. We called them back and said the event was wrapping up, and we didn't need the food. Their driver showed up, and "didn't speak English" and started unloading containers of food. We said, no we didn't want the food, and we didn't want to be charged, the event was wrapping up. After getting the main guy back on the phone, he was VERY upset with us (!! Really??) for "not telling him we didn't want the food". Um, no sir, you didn't show up with the food at the agreed upon time, that is, NEITHER OF THE AGREED UPON TIMES. Nor did you communicate with us in a timely manner. He then proceeded to send my assistant (who worked diligently with them prior to confirm the event and make sure all expectations were known) texts saying "thanks for wasting our food". That's 3 strikes sir. You didn't deliver and we tried to give you chances. Will not be booking this food truck again. read more

Chicken was not bad, cole slaw not that great. The waffle sandwich does not include an actual waffle, but a regular bun pressed in a waffle maker. The mozzarella sticks are outrageously priced for what you actually get, 1 stick is $2.50, and there is nothing about it that warrants that high of a price other then the breading is bright red which makes you think they might be spicy, but they're not. After taking my exam I headed to the food truck in front of the A&M Zachary Building at 1pm and I was already faced with some problems. Already off to a bad start to me so I decided to order the loaded fries (spicy) with a water. My total came out to $12 and some change. Now the only reason this location didn't deserve a 1 star review was that their service was easy and fast and my order came out in a few mins. But that might be the reason why I was skeptical on whether they prioritized quality over quantity. I opened my box and was surprised with how lazy it was. The jalapeños were a surprise since it didn't say they were included in the menu, the cheese was just squirts of nacho cheese with its usual bland stadium flavor, and the spicy sauce they put it in was more mild than it was spicy (compared to other locations I've tried). My next biggest gripe would be the waffle cut fries. Before I tried them, I heard someone say out loud to try their fries because he thought they were bland and unseasoned, and when I tried them myself with my meal, I could understand what he meant. The fries were not seasoned at all. Not even salt. The chicken quality was good and the chicken portion was passable. However I would recommend asking for it without the nacho cheese and ordering it with a higher spice level than you usually would. The fries as a whole were below passing for the price they ask you for. These are not worth $11. I could not make myself put these past $7. There are a lot of things that this location needs to improve in and it should take some notes on similar locations. read more

They were so undercooked they were soggy and cold...and you could tell they were never hot as they were more like slices of raw potato than anything. I've gone to this place over a dozen times since it's opened and I absolutely love it. The staff is awesome and super friendly. Also perfect for a late night snack with a super convenient location.
