Bad Owl Coffee is a Harry Potter themed cafe that serves uniquely handcrafted drinks. I had the Ube Spanish Latte (hot) and it was delicious! I just wish it was served in a clear cup so I could appreciate that beautiful purple with some latte milk art on top. Their pastries looked good, but I didn't try any during my visit. It's spacious inside with lots of seating. If I needed to get some work done, this would be an ideal place. I would venture to say that this is the best coffee shop in Henderson! read more

The beverages here are excellent. Roasted Almond Latte has a wonderful smell and delicious flavor with finely ground almonds. From the seasonal menu, I enjoyed a The Dark Enchanter V60, which was a dark blend with low acidity that made it go down easy. It was worth waiting through the five-minute brew time. The decor has a dark brown theme that creates a relaxing atmosphere, which is reflected in the vibe of the patrons. Came here with my mom before an appointment. We got an iced lavender latte, avocado toast, and the avada ricotta. The wait was about 30 minutes. The bread was almost too hard to bite and the eggs were undercooked (egg white falling off of it). Gave me a plastic fork and knife that couldn't cut the bread either. The coffee was really bitter too but I grew to like it. The employees were quiet and moved slowly. Would be nice if you were there to study for hours or something but not a great in and out place. $30 for mid coffee, undercooked eggs, and stale toast? you're better off cooking at home at that point. read more

I'm new to Henderson and had a coffee date here. I ordered the pumpkin cold brew and was blown away by how good it was. I've since been back at least two more times and have also had their breakfast burrito and have tried their banana cold brew as well. While the pumpkin flavored one is my favorite so far, I've loved everything I've had on all my trips. The burrito was especially tasty and the most important part was that the bacon was crispy! Pointing to cups when one hasn't ever been to an establishment is not great customer service. The coffee is good and we enjoyed the butter brew, we didn't try any of the food since we had just ate breakfast. I originally heard about Bad Owl Coffee because of its magical theme, so I decided to check out the coffee shop on my way out of town to do some Southern Nevada sightseeing. The cozy and magical decor is warm and welcoming without it being obnoxiously over-the-top. The employee greeted my husband and I and was open to answering questions as we perused the extensive menu. I appreciated the professionalism and hospitality so early in the morning. I was very pleased with the extensive menu and enticing food options--it was hard to choose! But I eventually decided on the Curious Croissant, which was delicious! I'm a sucker for a fried egg on a breakfast sandwich! The side salad was a bit odd to me. I think fruit would have been a more appropriate pairing, but my husband ended up eating the salad in addition to his BAE which looked super tasty on a brioche bun! It was unusually cold on this particular spring day at a brisk 45 degrees, so I opted for a hot Roasted Almond Latte and the husband got an Orange Chiffon Latte. I'm surprised I have never had this flavor latte before. The lattes did have small chunks of almond and orange zest, so if you have a texture issue be aware! I didn't mind the almond pieces, but I know I wouldn't have liked the orange zest pieces. I would definitely come back to Bad Owl Coffee next time I'm in the area. Cute, cozy coffee shop close to home. We've been here quite a few times but not as frequently as I'd like, my daughter loves their butter brew, and so do I. The butter brew is their most popular drink, it's good hot or iced but better hot. Since today is forecasted to be 117 I ordered a iced almond latte which is good but you definitely get a lots of almonds coming through your straw as you drink, which is good but threw me off at first, still a tasty drink but it reminds me of a boba where you have to chew a little as you drink. Service was fine they were pretty busy and I think it was only a couple barista's. I will come back occasionally for their butter brew, just not when it's 117 out. The coffee was piping hot and I realized I should've gotten an iced Americano since the LIV tournament we were heading to doesn't allow outside drinks; my husband went inside to ask for a cup of ice and was given one with out pushback. The flakiest flavorful croissant, a great tasting Americano (black), and excellent customer service..... of course this place deserves 5 STARS! This location is decorated so nicely, it would make such a nice date spot or study spot (if we were locals). We got too hungry so we decided to order some food... and this is where I took off a star. The food was great... tasted really good and well made but the pricing was ridiculous for LV. It almost felt like we stumbled into a coffee shop in SF, Bay Area. We had a very early flight into Vegas, and while I'm not a coffee drinker my husband very much is. This was our first stop on our southwest trip and it was a great one, according to my husband. I cannot remember what kind of coffee he got, but he usually opts something boujee and tasty-sounding. He lauded how good the coffee itself was, and he's pretty snobby with his coffee. They have some other food and drink offerings. The locale itself is really cute on the inside, you could get some good thinking done there. And the staff was really friendly and sweet. It tasted like the butter beer from universal studios but in a coffee form! The expresso was super strong but I liked it! The latter too, was very tasty and the nitrobrew was strong but I loved it! I also got the breakfast croissant sandwich and it came with bananas. The breakfast croissant was super flaky with a bit of crunch, which I loved! It also had a sweet and savory taste to it. There was a peppered egg, ham the croissant, cheese and mayo. It was huge and I had to take half of it home. The cafe ambiance was awesome! I live somewhat nearby and have come here for coffee on a few weekend mornings. If you want drip coffee you do have to do a pour over, though every variety of coffee I've had as a pour over there was very good (and admittedly as much as the price of drip at nice coffee places has gone up recently, the cost of a pour over here honestly isn't too much more). Service is reasonably efficient and cordial, though it is definitely your traditional hipster barista vibe. Order, move along. Seating is comfortable... they do get a pretty good crowd, so seating may be hard to come by between mid-morning and early afternoon. The group seating is surprisingly accommodating for groups, though if more than 2-3 groups are here it can get too packed, and there's no outdoor seating. Parking could also be a challenge as the café and other nearby establishments fill up, plus while it's easy to get here, getting out and heading north or east can be unduly difficult with Eastern and Horizon Ridge both too busy to safely turn left against traffic (I usually just head west on Horizon Ridge or south on Eastern regardless of which way I want to go from there). read more

Great little find. We came in January during "dry January" as an alternative to brewery hopping. What a great vibe! Very hip. Young friends gathered and were chatting and others were treating it like a typical Internet cafe on their laptops. Service was nice, coffee was tasty, wifi was good. Space is a bit small, but we had no trouble finding a place to sit and sip. There's definitely a "dark" ambiance going on with dark wood, broomsticks, and black walls with bricks.
