Staff was friendly - had a takeout order. Pizza was has a thicker crust and good amount of toppings, was a little cold.

I love this place! A lot! Great pizza and awesome service. But what is this?? The picture from the menu and what we got.

Good sauce. Fresh cheese. Cheese on top of toppings. Holds it together. Like that. Good pizza. 7.7 Friendly staff on the phone and during pick up.

When I'm being charged $12 for 8 wings I expect more than 2 drumettes. $1.50 each. Orders should be half/half. They're getting very cheap here and always raising prices. Last time here for a while. Treat your loyal customers better!

We went to Bada Bing in the midst of a serious thunderstorm because the folks at Steele Mansion recommended it and they're pretty sharp folks. One thing they told us was that Bada Bing's pizza was rated the best in Lake County and we tend to agree. It's a small place and not fancy but the pizza is just terrific and served quickly with a smile. What else can I say? 5/5 stars and we would come back!

Pizza is excellent, just wish the mushrooms were not canned. Yet I will order my next one without them. Very busy place on an afternoon with people dinning in and picking up. Ordered via the app. Was ready in allotted time. Place smells amazing even before you enter the door.

This place is the epitome of laid back. Our waitress, dressed in shorts and a T-shirt, was friendly, flexible, and took good care of our party of 9. The prices were reasonable and the food was good. The portion sizes are large so we split multiple entrees. Paper plates were provided to facilitate the sharing of pizza, salad, and calzone. I ordered the 10" Veggie pizza with spinach added. It was filling and tasty. I was full after eating four of the six pieces. My health-conscious wife had the salad with chicken.

Clean, cozy, friendly and welcoming. Pizza was excellent. Made well from edge to edge. Service was prompt and professional. I'd like to try a salad, calzone and sandwich. Eat here.

It's local, comfortable, spacious, neat & clean, with a good staff, and reasonable food. We were seated right away. Our server was friendly and efficient. The menu has a reasonable selection. The food is good... not great, not overly creative, in fact pretty average. But we weren't looking for fine dining. And if you care about prices, it's really affordable. Good, family style restaurant in Mentor. Give them a try.

We started with an Elouan Pinot Noir: light, dry and smooth, although pretty acidic. Still, a good choice. The Rhode Island calamari, however, was VERY good; crispy, sweet and spicy chili glaze with wasabi mayo. Now that's a calamari appetizer. I had linguine with marinara and a meatball. The house-made pasta was overcooked, the marinara was thin and sweet, with about as much garlic as a vampire convention. The meatball had good texture and flavor--too bad it arrived cold. Apparently, it had been waiting for the pasta. My spouse had the Shrimp Pesto Paillard with creamy pesto, Parmesan, tomato and house-made pasta. Flavorful, nicely balanced, and probably the best thing on the table. We asked the server to bring each course separately. Naturally, the appetizer and salad arrived together. Because apparently "one course at a time" is just a suggestion. The salad was romaine with two grape tomatoes, two cucumber slices and balsamic vinaigrette. A salad so minimalist it could have been designed by an accountant. Overall, some very good food mixed with some disappointing execution and an atmosphere that reminded me of the old Howard Johnson restaurants. Not the Howard Johnson where Jacques Pépin worked for ten years. This was more the Howard Johnson where you wondered if they were still serving dinner from 1967. O

We started with the Italian wedding soup, which was warm, comforting, and delicious. For dinner, our table tried the Bolognese, chicken Madeira, tortellini, and spaghetti. Everything was flavorful and satisfying, and the spaghetti looked like exactly what you hope for at a neighborhood Italian restaurant--a giant plate of pasta covered in red sauce with an enormous meatball in the middle. And when I say the portions are huge, I mean HUGE. There was no chance of ordering dessert because I could only finish about half of my entrée. The good news is that the other half became an entire lunch the next day, so basically this is dinner and meal prep in one. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole place had such a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Delicious food, generous portions, and genuinely good service. I saw that the reviews were mostly good, but something on the menu was staring at me in the face: AGLIO Y OLIO I'll get to that part later. Between checking the menu prior to arriving and walking in to be seated, I got a feel for the lay of the land and how this might play out. They brought out a basket of bread, which was a larger knotted roll of garlic bread. You wouldn't see this in Italy. The bread would be far more understated. The salad was very good and substantial, with tomatoes and cheese as well as your choice of a few dressings. I then looked over the main dishes they had for lunch. A few seemed okay and they had the veal and chicken parmigiana and marsala. I was tempted to get the latter, but, with only one chicken breast, I ordered the lasagna, which was only found on the dinner menu. I should not have done so. As soon as it arrived, I noticed its presentation. It was a big slab of lasagna sitting in a sea of tomato sauce. This sort of presentation is Italian-American. It's not the more delicate presentation with less obtrusive pasta sheets that you'd see in Italy or in more upscale Italian restaurants on this side of the pond. I finished it off and it sort of bogs you down, such that you can skip dinner. The service was excellent. There is a "can do" spirit in the service. Since they aren't featuring Coke Zero, which I like because it tastes more like original Coke, they mixed up some regular and diet Coke for me. Let me talk about its decidedly Italian-American leanings. The word "mama" is something I noticed. New York had a long running Italian restaurant near the theaters named Mama Leone's, except that the literature and memorabilia also shows it as Mamma Leone's. Mamma is the bona fide Italian spelling. However, I'm sure that Italian-Americans might say, "I hope your mama is doing better" or "Your mama is a good cook." (Note that it is definitely not "yo mama.") America seems to have defaulted to this Jersey Shore Italian-American spelling. Now, let me get to "AGLIO Y OLIO." Do you put together a menu and not check your spelling with "real deal" Italian people? The "y" means "and" in Spanish! The correct Italian spelling would be "AGLIO E OLIO," which means "garlic and oil." What's also happening that many Hispanic cooks have cut their teeth at Italian restaurants that lean Italian-American and, if that's the case, then the food reflects that. Summing it up, Mama Roberto's gives you a lot of food, the prices are very fair, the service is customer focused, and the restaurant is pleasant and clean. On the other hand, the food runs on the heavy side, it is way more Italian-American, and they have the credit card use upcharge which is becoming more common as businesses shift this normal cost of doing business to their customers. It could have been that one of their meat, chicken, or veal dishes would have been a more manageable portion and been more to my liking. Perhaps one of the white sauce pasta dishes might have also been more up my alley. However, they should revisit their lasagna recipe and use another benchmark for both its looks and taste. I hated writing this review because Mama Roberto's is a mix of positives and negatives. If you are fine with Italian-American food, and lots of it, this might work for you. For me, Mama Roberto's is but a 3-star restaurant.
