We decided to sit in the rear which offered high powered ceiling fans and a covered outdoor patio that was protection from the outdoor sun and felt like we were sitting in the shade outside a French garden. We decided on the fondu and the kale and quinoa salad because we both didn't want to eat heavy. The honey definitely is some imported masterpiece, those bees must be the real queens because it had not one trace of anything artificial or store bought: perfectly sweet and fruity. The Camembert was melted exactly right and it was accompanied by apples and pecan slices. I was having a hard time decided which of these two delicious plates should get my undivided attention but Lucky for me I was well taken care of by my awesome partner and didn't have to vie for my food! As it turns out, at the end of the night when we got the bill, both of these mocktails were added on to our bill, despite what we were told that they'd be "on the house" - my friend ordered a dish to go - which she wanted to take for her mom- and they forgot to add it to the bill or place the order so at the end of the night my friend had to leave empty handed and disappoint her mom who was very excited to try the dish. The owner is French and her boyfriend, the chef, is Mexican so they bring a combination of love from both their cultures and cuisines. The owner was our server, but before knowing that we kept commenting on how friendly and attentive she was. She did her job well and looked like she genuinely enjoyed seeing customers fill the place.
