I can't say enough good things about this cozy, cool, and delicious spot. From the moment you walk in, you can tell you're in for something special. I came here for dinner last night with a friend. We were seated inside and ordered a bunch of plates to share: the currywurst, tomato salad, shishito peppers, and lamb kofte kebabs. Everything was very delicious! My favorite was the tomato salad and the crispy potatoes that are served with the Curry Wurst. The tomatoes were so flavorful and savory; there's nothing like perfectly ripe tomatoes in a well-seasoned vinaigrette! We also had a glass of the sparkling Riesling (which was great) and my friend had a Pilsner. We got the baklava for dessert, which was tasty. The restaurant is pretty small inside but they make really great use of the space. The atmosphere is very cozy and I think makes for a wonderful space to bring someone for an intimate conversation; think date night or a place to catch up with an old friend. You won't need to shout over loud music or a million other people. Lol. The only downside to this place is that you have to email them for reservations, which is a little annoying. But I suppose it's how they keep the perfect balance of amount of patrons. read more

Really good fusion Turkish Middle Eastern food. It can get pricey. Their wine is really good and not too expensive. Cash or Venmo only. Staff is really nice and they look like they're happy to be there and that makes me happy. I don't remember exactly what I ordered but their bread is so good that came with the Garlic Tzakiki. We got lamb kebabs. I don't man I think is posted pics. Just ask the server. She was super nice and helpful. Curly haired woman. Give her a raise owners! read more

What an amazing new spot for updated takes on Turkish classics, and generally one of the best vibes for brunch in Brooklyn as of March 2022. I made a reservation on Instagram with my amateur Turkish, and the owner was kind enough to entertain my fragile communication skills, even if English might have made the whole process easier. Service was very friendly, and my dining partner and I enjoyed a few Turkish coffees and cups of çay on a leisurely Sunday morning. We shared the labne poached eggs and menemen, with a side of plain pide and a simit. The labne poached eggs were highly recommended, and these were indeed the star of the show. I couldn't tell where the rich labne ended and the egg yolk started, but it all blended into a heavenly topping for the simit. The menemen was also well spiced and much enjoyed. Will be back to try the dinner rakı service soon! read more

Overall rating: 4.5 If you're a vegetarian or vegan, this is the spot for you. I on the other hand, thought there were very limited options. The menu was very small and there wasn't much to choose from. My friend who's a vegetarian got full after our few, tiny dishes but I was still hungry. I do like the vibe of the restaurant, but it just wasn't for me. I've never had Turkish food before so not sure if this is what's to expect. But, I wasn't jumping up and down ready to try more. Very chill vibe & a great place to get together with friends and catch up. Great for a light snack. read more

It's not often you find a gem quite like Bunny. This restaurant is filled with the heart and soul of its family owners. The bar was the perfect ambiance for dinner. The curry wurst was addictive, and the fava purée was unexpectedly delicious, and the schnitzel was great too. Truly everything we had had, including the Negronis and wine, was wonderful. The food here blew me away. I had lamb, labneh and baklava and all of it was excellent. The menu changes often so I can't wait to get back there. It is truly a restaurant for foodies. This place is more expensive than I was expecting but absolutely worth it. They have outdoor seating and the service was very good. read more

Lovely little place in the neighborhood. The owner and the chef/owner are very friendly and made us feel at home. The dishes are all simple but made well & delicious. One suggestion would be to add allergens to their menu as my girlfriend is gluten intolerant and almost had a dish she couldn't eat. Big thanks to the chef who made a last second accommodation to make sure she could have the fish! read more

Bunny has to be one of the most underrated restaurants in all of Bed-Stuy. The spot had been on my radar for a year, and I'm kicking my past self for not going soon. Our group comprised two vegetarians and one omnivore, and we all felt full at the end of our meal. We delighted in the fresh bread, interesting textures, delicious flavors, and ample options. We ordered 5 savory items to share among the 3 of us, and were very happy and satisfied. None of us could choose a favorite despite usually being very opinionated--we loved it all! We also ordered both desserts, and they were exquisite. The perfect sweet treat for a sumptuous meal. We all ordered wine, as well, and loved that there were so many by-the-glass options. The service was generous and jovial. We felt welcomed in the charming small but not cramped restaurant. It was lovely and romantic, and I regret not coming here sooner. Do yourself a favor and have a night out at Bunny's. You won't regret it. read more

The food and the people at Bunny are so wonderful! We have a great experience every time we go there. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell they truly care about the community that their restaurant is in--a vibe you don't get at all newer NYC establishments. You never feel rushed when you're dining at Bunny. The dishes are really original riffs on classic turkish and german cuisine, and are always so delicious. They are currently doing outdoor seating and "bunny bags", which are to-go picnic style meals with wine or beer included. They also have a fridge of prepared foods to go. I recommend both dinner and brunch at Bunny, but especially brunch! read more

Bunny's is a block and a half away from me, but it took me awhile to check it out. My date and I were looking for an after-dinner spot to sit down and have a drink, so we came here. It's a very cozy, intimately-lit space with soft music (yay! for that since most spots seem to have the music on 10 at all times). The owner greeted us, and we had a very nice chat with him, as well as his wife, who walked up to us a little bit later. They're both sweet, and great conversationalists, and they're the type of "newcomers"/business owners who wish to become a part of the neighborhood, not barge in and change it; they seem extremely gracious. I tried a very nice drink I'll have to go back for, because I don't remember the name (only the characteristics), and my date had a nice beer, which means I had a nice beer, as well. We also admired the wax collection on the wall, and in the crates - old school stuff from at least as far back as the '80's. Since this spot is so close to the house, I'll have to stop in here more often, and try the food next time. Might bring the date here again, since we had such a good first visit. read more

An ode to the classic ma and pa establishment of a time gone by. Bunny is in essence a restaurant placed in an era of our history where music was carefully chosen, food beautifully made, and service was as personal as one get when serving. Both the owners work (it seems every night) to ensure the quality of food and drink stay consistent and delicious no matter when you come in. Including coming out of the kitchen to deliver the food they have just made for you. There is care, warmth and love in every bite you take because that is the emotions evoked by the people making it and thats clear when you take a bite of the delicious dishes like the cauliflower with smoked labne. Yes the food is of course spectacular however this spaces provides the aesthetic and comfortability to enjoy the food without interruption. Come to this restaurant to have a extraordinary meal but also to feel at home. read more

Stopped in for a solo dinner here, and I was there before 6, however they were already starting to get busy / had reservations booking out the whole place. I had the filo cigars stuffed with potatoes, and the ras el hanout heavy carrot dish which came with bread. You could tell every ingredient was the highest quality, and seasoned so well. The owners are super friendly and could see they care so much about their patrons - a number of folks seemed to be regulars. I only wish they had more vegetarian friendly entrees - the ones I ordered were starters. read more

Went here for dinner this week with friends after they recommended it. I can't believe I hadn't heard of Bunny before! The space is great with good music and decor. The owners and server were lovely and the food was delicious. We ordered a few appetizers, all of the mains, a couple desserts and then shared-- I'm so glad we did! Upon walking in, Bunny feels like a warm blanket on a rainy day. The dim lighting, vinyl record playing and soothing atmosphere creates this feeling of immediate ease. There's incredible detail placed not only the decor and ambience, but the food and drinks as well. The folks here live in the neighborhood and make you feel like a welcomed guest at their home. The food is thoughtful, prepared with care and desire to please, and therefore, delicious. If you don't love this place something is wrong with you! read more

This is a cozy neighborhood restaurant with some amazing food. The pumpkin humus appetizer was both beautiful to look at and really smooth and lightly sweet. I don't eat cauliflower but the roasted cauliflower had the soft texture of mashed potatoes and mixed well with yogurt. It was incredible, no other word. Same for the meatballs, the beef stew with tabouli, and the much simpler chicken schnitzel with cabbage slaw. The warm bread, in what looked like a paper boat, also worked great to sop up the yogurt. We had clean plates! It was all really good food, with modest not overwhelming portions, and in a comfortable welcoming place. We finished off a bottle of Turkish wine, also great, and had the baklava dessert which was light and not too sweet (and also straight from Turkey, apparently). We'll be back. I highly recommend visiting this unusually good little restaurant. It's not pretentious or cold. They don't have a phone number but you can DM them through their Instagram account. Or show up when they open, as we did. There was plenty of parking on nearby streets on an early Saturday evening and buses and the A/C trains run nearby. read more

I have been wanting to try this place for a long time as I've lived a block away for the last 2 years (covid has made it hard). I walked up tonight when it was pretty full (only one couple waiting for a table though..) and waited outside for someone free I could ask about the wait time. A woman comes walking up to me and before I could even finish "how long would it be for a table" she waved her hand in my face and said "ZERO. Not a chance. IMPOSSIBLE." Totally threw me off. I really wanted to go here but the staff was so rude I do not recommend. read more

What a lovely addition to the neighbourhood! I have lived here 18 years and I am so happy to have such a unique little restaurant so close by. I went this Saturday evening and the ambience was gorgeous. I had the fried whiting, which was delicious. The Turkish sparkling white wine was perfect. I liked it so much that I returned later with my friend. The kitchen was closed but my friend was still graciously accommodated with an appetizer. The hosts were adorable. Music was great, love the vinyl! It is a small space but comfortable and beautifully arranged. I adored and missed Ms Dahlias and was very sad about her demise. I am pleased that the space has been revitalized as another high quality, individual spot, with owners who have a true affection and respect for Bed-Stuy and what it represents. read more

Really really cute spot with (married) Turkish female and German male owners. They were both super friendly and served us personally. His homemade bloody mary was quite good. I would certainly be a regular if I lived in the neighborhood. Always pleased to find simit (a thin turkish bagel). The poached eggs with the whipped garlic were incredible. The spicy sucuk sandwich was also quite good - nice take to have it on a potato roll. The side of home fries were fried pretty uniquely, too. Could have used a more meaningful sauce, maybe an aioli. Overall, really cute pleasant spot! read more

Mom and pop restaurant serving Turkish food with German overtones. Prices are very reasonable; the owners are very welcoming. I recommend the phylo sweet potatoes, which are unlike anything I've seen elsewhere. Downsides: no phone, reservations through instagram or email, cash or Venmo, no credit cards. read more

Although I didn't technically order an entree, I still found myself pleasantly full at the end of the meal. The rest of my dining companions ordered either the schnitzel or the wurstplatte. The sautéed onions added extra flavor and I really liked the shoestring fries. I'm more of a steak fries person but these were great! I asked the bartender to suggest a beer that had a Blue Moon quality since they don't actually serve that brand. She gave me a sample of something from the tap that was on point, so I went with a full glass. Whenever I'm craving the perfect burger and beer combo, Black Forest Brooklyn will be at the top of my list from now on.
