Came here soft opening week and they already have the flow down. This is their second location in town. Serving some seriously good seafood broil. I got a bit of everything during our family dinner. The dungeon crab was a pretty darn good size. Meat tasted fresh. I also got 3 lobster tail, probably favorite. Oh goodness they were soooo good. They were not overcooked, no rubbery texture, just fresh. Along with that we got some shrimp cause I love shrimp. In addition some of the add ons were sausages which was delicious, corn a must have, potatoes, and eggs. The sauce was the atomic sauce mild, but still gave enough kick. My lips were definitely burning a bit. Overall, the broil itself was 10/10. From sauce to proteins and add on times, everything was very good. We got some fries and they were freshly made. The garlic noodles were good but felt like I had better 6.8/10. Okay the Fish Po Boy sandwich was a hit! Deep fried fish in a sandwich, so good surprisingly. And bbq wings were. Pretty good as well. Customer service was fantastic, the gal that took my order was nice and was patient with me while I ordered. She gave out drinks right away and had all utensils provided. The restaurant does play music , couple with guest inside, it can be quite lively during peak hours. Restrooms and clean. Great experience, had a nice chat with the manager and food was great. I recommend you checking it out.

Bag O' Crab's new Clovis location on the northeast corner of Herndon and Fowler is a fantastic addition, serving up the same delicious, messy seafood boils and menu favorites as their Fresno spot! Located in a highly popular, always-busy plaza, parking can definitely be a headache, so be prepared to hunt for a spot during peak hours. The food was absolutely spot-on, the staff handled the bustling crowd beautifully, and getting a 10% discount during their Soft Opening first week made the messy feast taste even better.

Great service and good. Best seafood boil in Clovis! They have a great deal going on rn too if you buy either combo 1 or 2.

The food was absolutely fabulous, but what truly made the evening special was our waitress, Anne. Anne has a cheerful, professional personality that immediately made us feel welcome. She was attentive, friendly, and helped make our family celebration feel extra special. She checked on us throughout the meal, anticipated our needs, and always did so with a genuine smile. Celebrating a 92nd birthday is a memorable occasion, and Anne played a big part in making it such a joyful experience. Outstanding service, delicious food, and a warm atmosphere--we couldn't have asked for a better evening. Thank you, Anne, and the entire Pismo's team for helping us create such a special memory for Grandma! Happy 91nd Birthday to Grandma! What a wonderful milestone to celebrate with family.

QUICK TAKE Get: Blackened Salmon Tacos Skip: Ultimate Combo Louie, Shrimp Cocktail, Grilled Alaskan Halibut Know: Several of the seafood dishes tasted dry or tired, and the meal did not feel worth the price. The only thing I would recommend is the Blackened Salmon Tacos. They come with fire-roasted salsa, avocado, cabbage-cilantro slaw, pico de gallo and lime crema. These had much better flavor, texture, and balance than the rest of our meal. Unfortunately, the other seafood was where things really fell apart. Ultimate Combo Louie: This comes loaded with jumbo prawns, shrimp and Dungeness crab, so at $38 I expected it to feel like a premium seafood salad. It didn't. The seafood lacked freshness and the shrimp in particular were soft and soggy. Shrimp Cocktail: Probably the most disappointing item. The shrimp tasted old and had a limp, waterlogged texture instead of being firm and fresh. Grilled Alaskan Halibut: At $42, this should have been one of the highlights. Instead, the fish was dry and overcooked, which is especially frustrating with a piece of halibut at this price. Hoisin Brussels Sprouts: Way too sweet for me. The sweetness completely overwhelmed the Brussels sprouts instead of complementing them.

The menu presented extensive and adventurous options that as first timers could have been intimidating but with the help of Donavin our delightful server, we selected the perfect seafood salad for the Mrs. and the curated selection of Maki (delicious sushi "tacos") that together made for the perfect share. Add to that a smooth Japanese beer and a surprisingly moderate overcast that made our dinner on the patio the perfect way to celebrate our first meeting 47 years ago. There were so many other tempting menu options that we'll look forward to sampling on our next for sure visit. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of having Donavin as our server even though our observation is that all the young people serving are helpful and gracious . Having read about Oiza in the CVLUX magazine, I can honestly say our experience so grandly exceeded our expectations my wife wants to submit her own review!

We chose to commemorate it by having dinner at O-iza and what a wonderful choice it was! As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were immersed into the a serene and beautiful environment characteristic of the Japanese culture. The young ladies that greeted us and then ushered us to the patio were lovely and gracious. It was then that we met Donavin who became our adept curator for the evening. He effortlessly, patiently and with insight matched our curiosities and tastes to the perfect menu choices. We quickly realized that we were barely scratching the surface of the delightful selections that the menu has to offer. That means we need to return and continue our exploration. Hopefully, we again will have Donavin to guide us. We would like to thank the entire staff for a most pleasurable evening. Nancy M. Ramentas
