This place is gets so busy that you have to have reservations 2 weeks prior. We were lucky to find a 9:30pm reservation on a Saturday but only for the patio. We got seated right away. They had a huge bar, lounge area, and an open kitchen with a lot of staff members working. Both inside and outside was nice with dim lighting. Very modern interior design with their tables, chairs, house plants, and neon signs. The service was top notch. The person came by to serve us water noticed our table was pretty wobbly so he fixed it instantly. I thought that was great for them to notice the small details. They always came by to fill our waters 4-5 times. They also remembered we were celebrating an anniversary so they offered us complementary champagne. Our waitress Celeste was very excellent. She gave suggested me dishes that I couldn't decide. We ended up getting the chicken taquitos ($17), the pork chop ($36) and the prime sirloin ($36). Food was delicious and everything tasted so good. I like the roasted Brussels spouts flakes on the pork chop and even though the sirloin was medium it was still very tender. Even the one time our water cups were empty she noticed and apologized and came back to refill them. The chicken taquitos were very good as well. Bathroom is a little small with only three stalls and one sink but the staff was nice enough to direct me to them cuz they saw I was looking around. Overall is a very good experience. I can see why they're very busy and I hope to come back to try their other dishes!
First visit to Saizon Restaurant in Fresno. My oh my, but this has elevated my opinion of fine dining in this town. Atmosphere is elegant, relaxing, yet no one feels the need to formally overdress(my impression). On a midweek evening, reservations are required, fair warning. We were a group of 5. We were led to a comfortable corner booth and given time to peruse the menu and make our selections. The style of service seems to be small plates. Lots of East -West fusion inspired dishes. (For example, tasty al pastor bao buns. ) We ordered a variety of plates, starting with the beet carpacchio. Each dish was pretty amazing. This is an experience to share with people close to you. Extremely pleasant culinary delights. Examine the photos of each dish. The cocktails here were highly recommended. However, I couldn't resist ordering a Scotch single malt: Obama 14 Year. It accompanied my meal splendidly. If it was this busy on a weeknight, I think it was be too crowded on a weekend. Highly recommend. Our server was excellent.
Gosh! If I didn't like cooking so much I would eat here for brunch and dinner every day. The food is so breathtakingly spectacular, and don't get me started on the handcrafted drinks. I have been to Saizon for a good amount of its dinner services and a few of its brunch services and no matter what time of day, it will always hit the spot (though I do prefer the dinner menu). Parking is a bit chaotic because you have other marvelous local stores and eateries near by I.e Ampersand, Otherside, Revival 23, etc. But the food really does make up for it. You walk in and the lights are dimmed adding a very sultry atmosphere, the music is spectacular when you can hear it from the white noise of chatter from how full it is, which is expected by a restaurant that serves the best of the best, and the hosts as well as their service are beyond nice, always checking in at the right time and nailing at sounding very genuine. Tiniest bit I had was a salmon dish that had a very sweet sauce, which the sauce personally was not for me as sweet/seafood is not really my vibe. However the fish flaked beautifully, the vegetables were perfectly blanched. Every other seafood dish (with a couple of sample-bites of my boyfriend's steak dishes) has been 1,000,000 out of 10. You must try the speciality drinks! As a 'drink snob' these are very unique and you can't find them anywhere else. The head chef that is in charge for all of the Saizon-family restaurants is truly ahead of the game. You will always catch me supporting this restaurant family P.S. (if you don't know where to start, begin with the Truffle Mac and Cheese!!!)
Finally got to try brunch and can't wait to come back! It's packed, so I suggest a reservation. Our server was super nice and attentive, the vibes were great, and the food was delicious. My favorite dishes were the oysters and the Pork Belly Eggs Benedict, but all four dishes we got were superb! Also, if you like espresso martinis, theirs is creamy with just the right amount of sweetness.
I have been here a few times now, but I have never sat on their patio until last week. They have a really beautiful patio. I was really impressed by how beautiful it is. It felt like I escaped Fresno for a bit and went somewhere tropical. The service was really good and the food is really good. They have some vegetarian options and can make some things vegan. The melon salad was interesting, not my fave but it was good. It was refreshing. Just a bit spicy with the peppers. They have a selection of non alcoholic drinks. The Betty White is really good. I love that they have smaller bites, you can order one or two for yourself or share as an appetizer. I will Def come back, I have enjoyed eating at Saizon each time I have gone. Parking is free but does fill up. They are right across from Ampersand which would make a delicious dessert afterwards.
Came here for dinner to celebrate two friends' birthdays. Everyone enjoyed the drinks and food. The highlights were the crispy bluefin nigiri and the Cali cut. One critique, we had two orders of the truffle mac and cheese and one had very little truffle flavor compared to the other. The place itself has a good vibe and is on the more upscale side. Service was great! Everyone was nice and attentive! And at the end of dinner, they brought out two sorbets with candles for our birthday girls.

Once we arrive we was immediately scored it to our table outside but we did a request dining inside due to the heat outside and they was able to accommodate us at that time. I was very pleased to be inside with the air conditioning nice and chill and relaxed. Myself I ordered my go to food which is the crab tostada and My mom ordered the pork belly Benny and my son also had the crab tostada. Myself I enjoy the citrusy flavors in the tostada the crab meat was fresh I like the avocado guacamole paste they had with that and the fresh cilantro and onions. Our server for the day was Brody Brody assisted us right away and ask everyone and checked on everybody if we need anything he was very prompt and helpful and polite. We strongly recommend you check out cezon for your brunch knees for your dinner needs whether you celebrating a birthday wedding whatever the occasion is you should definitely check about check out the pictures attached to this review.
Went on date night with hubby and this was our favorite! He ate most of it pasta dish and went to finish his ribeye! The ceviche dish was okay. I'd probably come back for a girls night. We had additional elotes and salad, they were good but my husband was wanting more elotes sliced , not one corn split into 6 slices .
Chose this place to celebrate a birthday and definitely made the right decision. We were seated right away (had reservations). The food was amazing and beautifully plated. The restaurant is has indoor and outdoor seating. They have a great selection of specialty drinks. However be prepared to pay a hefty surcharge for a large clear ice cube. I recommend this restaurant for any special occasion since it is on the higher end of price for restaurants in the area but totally worth it. The restaurant was completely full so ensure to have reservations if you want to secure a table without waiting a long time.

I went with my family for Mother's Day. The staff were friendly and ready to answer any questions. I enjoyed two mixed drinks which was plenty to relax a mama. I think I would stick to the dinner menu. The ambiance is beautiful and aesthetic.
We had some gift cards to use so why not come and have dinner? Amazing as always!! Great service! Great staff! Great food!!! We sat outside on Monday evening and it was perfect weather. We ate and were about to leave but decided to sit down and have some drinks inside. The bartender was great he made me some drinks based off of what I wanted and we talked about baseball. To the point where I ended up buying tickets that night to a dodger game. There's nothing bad I'll ever say about this place. Because when they sent burnt lamp chops out they took it back and made new ones. This is one restaurant I will always recommend and also suggest family style so everyone can share different plates. We usually order 4-5 plates and split it for our group, to start get ceviche both options are great.
Saizon is still one of my top favorite restaurants in Fresno. The service and the ambience are always on point. The shrimp rigatoni remains my favorite dish. It's just so good every time. On this visit, we tried a few new things. The scallops were amazing, and the cauliflower mash they came with was incredibly tasty. The quail, however, wasn't my favorite. It had a lot of breading and not much meat. I think I would've preferred baked quail over breaded fried quail. We also tried a new amaretto-flavored dessert. It was good, but not something I'd need to order again. Overall, it was a lovely evening. I'll definitely be back for the pasta and, of course, the oysters and scallops!
I've been to Saizon twice. It's located on Shepherd and Willow. For me, I don't live in Clovis so it's definitely a far drive. It's a nice luxury dine in restaurant I can agree on. Every visit is exceptional, with an inviting atmosphere, beautifully presented dishes full of vibrant flavor, and excellent drinks that pair perfectly with the food. It can be pricy so be mindful of that! I've done both indoor and outdoor seating and outdoor is beautiful at night especially during the colder seasons. There is also a lounge area and a back bar. Both times I have gone, service has been spot on and quick! The people there are lovely and I would recommend if you're looking for a place to go on a date, birthdays or just a nice dinner with friends. read more

I finally got to try Saizon for a friend's birthday, and overall I really liked it! We had a party of 14, so just keep that in mind while reading this. Our waiter was super nice! He explained the menu really well and got everyone's drink orders. The drinks did take a little while to come out, and one thing I noticed was since everyone was ordering food at different times, the food kind of came out little by little. It felt like it took a while to get some of our food after we ordered, and it almost made it seem like they wanted us to keep ordering drinks while we waited. We were there for about 2 hours just eating and drinking. Now the food... it was honestly SO good! I just wish the portions were a little bigger for how much everything costs. Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious, but in my opinion it's definitely on the pricey side for what you get. The Truffle Mac & Cheese was really good, but it was such a small portion. The Crispy Bluefin Nigiri was probably one of my favorite things we ordered! It has crispy sushi rice, bluefin toro, honey-cashew sauce, avocado, and aged ponzu. It was SO good... but it's only like five little bite-sized pieces for $24. It was delicious, I just couldn't get over the price. The Mushroom Risotto was also really, really good! And my favorite meal was probably the Spicy Shrimp Bucatini. It has shrimp, Italian sausage, fresh bucatini, Calabrian chili, Grana Padano, and toasted breadcrumbs. The flavor was sooo good! We shared it, but honestly I could've eaten the whole thing by myself. If I go back, I'd definitely order that as my meal. For drinks, I tried the Frozen Summer Margarita, and it was so refreshing! It has watermelon, hibiscus, basil, and citrus, and I really liked it. I also tried the Pool Boy, which has gin, watermelon liqueur, cucumber, basil, and citrus. That one was really good too! The restaurant itself is super cute inside! The only other thing I'd mention is that when we were leaving, there were a lot of people hanging around the bar, so it was a little hard to get to the bathrooms. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed. Also, if you're going with a bigger group, just know they automatically add 18% gratuity to every tab. I totally understand why they do it, but with the menu already being pretty expensive, it definitely makes your bill go up fast. Overall, I really did like Saizon! The food and drinks were delicious, and it's a really cute place. I think next time I'd go for a date night or with a smaller group instead of a big party. Just be prepared that it's a little pricey for the portion sizes, and if you're with a large group, don't forget about that automatic 18% gratuity. read more

This place is truly amazing. I come here with my girls for both lunch and dinner all the time, and it honestly never misses. No matter the time of day, the vibe is always on point. The ambiance is so cute and aesthetic, perfect for taking pictures and just enjoying the moment. Everything about the space feels intentional, from the decor to the lighting, which makes it a great spot to relax, catch up, and feel good while you're there. What really elevates the experience is the staff. They are always kind, welcoming, and genuinely accommodating. One time, I came with a friend who has a chicken allergy, and they handled it so well without making it feel like an inconvenience. That level of care really stands out. The food comes out quickly, whether you're there for lunch or dinner, and it is always full of flavor. The steak is cooked to perfection every time, tender and seasoned just right. I highly recommend pairing it with their mocktail Hugo Spritz, it complements the meal perfectly and adds to the overall experience. The aesthetic of the place ties everything together. It is one of those spots where you can enjoy great food, great company, and leave with both a full stomach and cute pictures. It is a little on the pricier side, but for the quality, service, and overall experience, it is definitely worth the money. read more
Another great visit to saizon. Service is always excellent- attentive, friendly, and upbeat. We definitely always feel welcome here. The food is always fresh, flavorful and upscale. I've been hearing a lot about this restaurant for quite some time, so I finally decided to try it out this past Sunday. I chose to try their brunch. Not sure how it differs from their evening menu, but there were plenty of intriguing options. The ambience is wonderful! It feels like you've left Fresno and landed in SF or LA. But first, remember that reservations are a must as this place is hopping. We sat outside and it was really sweet. I'm on the wagon for now, so I ordered a na Betty White cocktail. It was so yummy! Very refreshing and pretty. We got both the avocado and beet salad appetizers, and we probably should have stopped there, but we each order a main dish as well. The avocado dip was the very best I've ever had! No joke. Served with toasted tortillas, it was outstanding. The beet carpaccio was good, but I'm not a huge beet fan, so I wasn't as impressed, but the presentation and amount they gave us was immense. My sister ordered the crab tostados and I had the taquitos de papa. They were really beautifully done. I've gotta be honest, I probably would've enjoyed them more if I wasn't already stuffed from the appetizers! The wait staff was very attentive, and service was immaculate. It was time to visit Saizon once more and today was the day, I sat at the bar and enjoyed the company of the bartender and our humor was compatible. The lunch menu is large enough to satisfy most people and the bar items are without number so with that being said I ordered a pistachio martini first and enjoyed that until my Tiger ceviche arrived. As you can tell by the pictures all servings are professionally prepared and with the service to match the lunch was a success. I do appreciate the decor and open space throughout the restaurant and for me the lack having Televisions there is refreshing. Everyone from the hostess to the servers and bartenders were very nice and I felt that anything I could need would be offered without hesitation, good management encouraged good employees and the personal here are some of the best. read more
Saizon was so good. From start to finish, the experience felt thoughtful and elevated. Our waitress Kennedy was awesome--friendly, knowledgeable, and perfectly timed. The entire team was attentive, constantly refilling our waters without us having to ask. A nice touch that really stood out: free sparkling water refills, not just flat mineral water. For food, the Chilean sea bass was delicious--perfectly cooked and flavorful. Kennedy recommended a drink that came with a piece of chili pepper, and it was excellent; balanced, refreshing, and just the right amount of heat. We also ordered the pork belly bao. You get two pieces per order, and while the portion is small, they were incredibly delicious and satisfying. The crispy rice with bluefin tuna was pretty good overall, but it leaned a bit sweet for my taste. I personally prefer something more savory, so that dish wasn't my favorite--but still well executed. My first time here for a friend's birthday and I was impressed! Great vibes and dim lighting. Got seated in the heated and covered patio. Ordered guacamole and chips, chicken taquitos, and Norwegian salmon and everything was perfect! They give you tostadas for the chips and you can ask for refills! Chicken taquitos were my favorite thing and it was delicious and had a ton of sauce. Water glass was ALWAYS full. Staff were always on top of it, not even joking he must've came around like 20 times. A bit on the pricier side for things on the menu but it was definitely a good experience here. Would recommend! read more
Saizon never misses! Absolute treat to have here in Fresno. Just went back to Saizon for the second time to celebrate a birthday, and honestly, this place is 2 for 2. Even though the place was packed, as it always seems to be, the service was incredibly quick. The servers here really know their stuff. They're attentive and give the best recommendations if you're a first-timer and don't know where to start. You can tell they care about the craft. I ordered the Lemon Shrimp Rigatoni and the Truffle Mac. If you are a fan of citrus, you have to get this. It has house-made rigatoni, Mexican white shrimp and a lemon-crème fraîche sauce that is the perfect balance of zesty and flavorful. It is probably the best citrus pasta I've ever had. And for the Truffle Mac, this was solid! It's made with cavatelli and queso fundido, but it actually tastes really light. The cheese and truffle don't feel heavy or overwhelming at all. The portion is good for one person, but if you're with a group of 3 or more and want to share, definitely grab two orders. Overall, I'd highly recommend Saizon for anything from a big celebration to just a casual dinner. The atmosphere is super high-energy and even when they're slammed, the food comes out so quick. Came for a celebration dinner and it was a wonderful spot. We sat outside and they turned the heater on for us. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. Without even asking, we were served a complimentary dessert as 3/4 of us were moving away (hence the reason for the dinner). I'm sad I waited so long to try this spot because everything was fantastic. read more
Decided to give them a try again to celebrate a birthday. It concerned me that the patio was only available. Turns out the patio was warm and inviting. Didn't have the makings for a drink on their menu was a little disappointing. Started with oysters which were good. Got a Oaxacan Old Fashioned which is always good. Had the Al Pastor Bao Buns. Also very good. We split the ribeye and green beans. Green beans were my favorite. Was pleasantly surprised that they recognized the birthday by providing a sorbet! Fresno's food scene is up and coming, especially with Saizon. I'm a Central Valley local but have lived near the Bay Area for over 10 years. Saizon definitely matches San Jose/Santana Row vibes. I used to live in the area and really impressed to see how this has changed. Everything from the amazingly well trained staff to the food was amazing. Stunning to see how the Smittcamp family of restaurants continue to impress and distinguish themselves from their other places. Most restauranteurs would just build a chain. Had the offerings of blue fin tuna with a fried rice base which was fantastic and appreciate the textures. The guac was well balanced with textures and acidity and the lamb with the side of yogurt based sauce with chili oil was inventive and delicious. Reservations are a must here. I booked ours a week in advance and I'm glad I did, because this place was packed. It's definitely one of Fresno's "it" spots. It's upscale while still laid-back, which is a rare balance to pull off. We were seated on the patio, and stepping out there felt like being transported. Think elevated, beachy, Tulum vibes with a touch of California chic. Inside, the atmosphere leans more toward an upscale lounge/bar scene. By the time the night gets going, you can feel the energy shift, dinner melts seamlessly into a lively bar crowd, and it's a vibe. The food? Amazing. Portions are generous, so my tip is to order your entrée first and then see if you actually need sides (we didn't & ended up our side dishes home). Drinks were on point, too. There was a small hiccup with some dishes, but the staff handled it beautifully. Our server, Celeste , looped in the manager right away, and they took such good care of us. Honestly, the level of customer service stood out, I even called ahead because we were running late, and they were so kind about holding our table without marking us as a no-show. The only downside: service on the patio is a bit slower compared to the more fast-paced dining inside, and our food took a little while to come out. But honestly, sitting outside felt relaxed and worth it. Overall, this was one of the best first experiences I've had at a restaurant in a long time. Came to Saizon for a birthday brunch. I didn't have the best experience prior but this was a great one. I shared the potato taquitos and churro French toast with a friend. Both were great. I do wish the food would have been a bit more warm. The frozen espresso martini was amazing! I actually would now come back and give it a try for dinner. read more
Still one of my favorite spots in the area for weekend brunch! The standout this time was the poblano and mushroom omelette--super flavorful and well balanced. It came with a side salad dressed in champagne vinaigrette, which was a pleasant surprise. The tiger ceviche was solid, and the churro French toast was just as delicious as I remembered. Our server was friendly and checked in regularly, which we appreciated. My only note is I wish they offered more coffee options with their brunch menu. They only had drip coffee, and it was very acidic--possibly just that day, but it seems like they lean more toward alcoholic brunch drinks. read more
