We got the rainbow bagel with jalapeño cream cheese which was perfect! The cream cheese flavors were balanced and not overpowering. We wanted to get chicken tikka bagel but we were told it was a weekend special. We were sad to hear that buttttt the owner was super sweet and said it was okay and she'll get it prepared for us!! :o we were shocked but also super happy since we wanted to try it! And that chicken tikka bagel did not disappoint!! The chicken was super flavorful, not too spicy, green chutney was amazing and the flavors were perfectly balanced! It's a cute space with family pictures and plenty of seating. And the natural lighting makes the room bright. I decided to get a 16 oz latte with cookie butter and vanilla syrup mixed in. They had a lot of flavors to choose from for your latte. The flavors are about 50c each additional. And I've always wanted to try a rainbow bagel. I got it with plain cream cheese on the side. I liked the bagel, it was toasted and huge. I wasn't a fan of the latte. I couldn't taste the flavors that were added. read more

I loved this place. The owner is very welcoming. We tried their bagels and coffee. I had their dirty chai and my husband tried Hazelnut latte. We also had the jalapeño bagel and sesame bagel with original cream cheese. They have a beautiful decor inside with lots of seating place. They have comfy sofa seaters as well as the bar side experience that we enjoyed in our recent visit. Plus they offer a cute seating arrangement outside as well. I enjoyed my decaf vanilla latte, but the gluten free bagel was more like a bun than a bagel. I only ate about half before giving up on it. I'm sorry but these bagels were horrible, stale, and flavorless. Plus the cream cheese was wet. So gross to eat. Texture was just wet and slimy. I learned why they were dry and flavorless through a convo with who I think was the manager - they fly in the bagels already baked from NYC and any that don't sell will get frozen and then defrosted for next day use - then repeat. So my flavorless jalapeño bagel may have been dry, stale, and flavorless through repeated freezing/defrosting sessions. Also, while my friend and I were talking while finishing our drinks, I saw one of the staff, gloved, cleaning up tables. She used her gloved hand to push down garbage in the can by the door and then proceeded to continue to use that gloved hand to touch/move items on tables like napkin holders while wiping them down. It was just gross that she didn't at least change her glove. Sorry this will not be a repeat visit for me. read more

I've been on my matcha crave for a while now, so of course while traveling I look for somewhere to grab a cup. Bagel Bar & Coffee is near our hotel, I'm from New York so if corse I love a bagel, reviews are great so I decide to give them a try. I am warmly greeted by a friendly staff. I mean everyone was welcoming...impressive. The young lady helps me make my bagel selection, I had breakfast already so I wasn't in the mood for a bagel and cream cheese. Decided to go with a garlic bagel with turkey and avocado and for my drink an iced pistachio matcha with oat milk. While waiting I took in the place there's a bar, not sure if they serve wine or if it's just bar to enjoy while dining in. There's a book shelf for one to grab a book. Overall a nice space, kinda wish I brought my laptop to get some work done. Back to the food, as I'm waiting of course I'm glancing at the barista and notice they use a pre-made matcha mix (something ordered for the restaurant) instead of the traditional matcha powder. This is a first for me, but I'm open. My drink is made, my bagel is ready and warm I'm excited. I ordered to go, but of course had to take a sip of my latte before leaving. Not bad, but not earthy like matcha's are when made from the powder. Bagel sandwich totally on point! Definitely would stop back in here if in the area. I have been wanting to try Bagel Bar since the soft opening (I just happened upon the sign when visiting my sibling a few months prior), but at the time they were not yet serving bagel sandwiches, and I do love me a good bagel sandwich, so I had to postpone the trial until I visited my sibling again and they were operating at full capacity. I'll start with the amazing aura and decor. The place is really nicely lit for a morning coffee/bagel spot with really nicely set up decor, including a "bar" area with convenient seating, and tables and chairs. The inside on its own is worth coming to Bagel Bar just to try a bagel and enjoy it inside. Unfortunately, we had some obligations so didn't get to stay and enjoy the indoor eating experience. The staff were really friendly as we placed our order and explained aspects of what was showing up on the screen as we placed our order. The price point was maybe a little higher than what I might have expected, but I am absolutely willing to spend money on good bagels and support small businesses! The bagels themselves were generously large - really amazing to have truly NY sized bagels in Texas. My parents were shocked at how large the bagels were (dare I say they may have been somewhat overwhelmed by the size?). The bagels themselves were tasty, but as infused with flavor as I would have hoped (maybe a little more jalapeno in the jalapeno bagel, maybe a little more diffuse french toast feel in the French toast bagel?) and slightly on the drier side. When you order just the bagel and cream cheese, the cream cheese is generously spread. Unfortunately,on the a la carte sandwich order, the flavor of the jalapeno cream cheese never really came through which was just a little disappointing. I think maybe next time I'll need to add the Sriracha mayo which is on one of the other standard bagel sandwiches. All in all, a good experience, and a place worth trying! read more

Bagel Bar has such a nice aesthetic! You can tell that all of the ingredients are fresh, particularly the bacon with hints of Applewood. I highly recommend ordering the cowboy on an everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. It is super flavorful and is a great way to get your protein in before a long day at work. The owner, Salima even came to ask us how we enjoyed the experience. This really highlights how this spot is a locally owned Texas business. It's the little stuff like this that makes all the difference in the world when trying new restaurants. It was my first time at a bagel bar. I got an jalapeño bagel with sun-dried tomato cream cheese, and an iced oat milk latte with white chocolate. I loved both the bagel and my coffee. I really liked the cream cheese spread, which was very fresh and there were actual dried tomatoes in them. The bagel itself was really good and very big and the coffee was just perfect to go with it. I really wanted to like this place. I love a fresh NY style bagel. The problem was the bagels are dry and the schmear was so thin you can see through to the bagel. A tad expensive - but if the bagel had more cream cheese I think it would mask the dryness of the bagel and be worth the price. I can't tell if they were just old or if the recipe just isn't good. Not sure if they bake them onsite or not but it didn't taste fresh. They also don't seem to have an organized process behind the counter.. they forgot our order and after waiting for 30 minutes they finally asked if we needed something. Hopefully this is just new store / new employee issues I want to support this women owned business! read more

Secondly the bagels are absolutely delicious, I think they say they are shipped in from New York. All ingredients are fresh and delicious.
