Family just got breakfast here today for first time, extremely disappointing. Out of the 4 breakfast sandwiches only ONE had been done correctly as ordered. Probably the worst bagel I have ever tasted , took one bite and threw it away. Why they would sell a dry, stale , rock hard bagel that was probably two days old is beyond belief , especially since they present themselves as a bagel shop ? I've eaten there a couple of times before and each time was progressively worse . Breakfast meats are pre-cooked then reheated, paninis could be a day old( or older) and are also reheated . The hygiene and food handling observed was also questionable . You'd be better off eating at the Quick Check or Wawa nearby, at least the food is fresh. read more

Bagels and sandwiches are somewhere between just okay to below par. Seems like they do the very least to get by. The bagels and sandwiches dont exceed my standards so this is a last resort kind of place. The bagels are heated from frozen so not a very good taste, texture, or temperature. The breakfast and lunch sandwiches are quite bland and the vegetables aren't always fresh tasting. The bacon doesn't always taste fresh either like it may have been cooked many hours ago in old grease. The menu doesn't offer anything fun or innovative. read more

I was disappointed in the bagels, I got a pork roll egg and cheese on an everything bagel with a mall order of home fries. The bagel sucked only had poppy seeds and sesame seeds on it. The pork roll was old and dried out. The home fries are good just needed a little onion. read more

Definitely a big let down. I have passed this place numerous times and finally decided to give i a try. Since it is a bagel place I decided to try one of their bagels. I got a plain bagel with butter. It was worse then mass produced bagels. No real taste and was hard like it was stale and was super dry even with the butter on it. Some of their other food may be okay, but since it is a bagel place and they can not get that right I will not be going back. Also their prices were far from cheap for what you get. read more

The Bagel Bistro is a newer place that opened up by the Jackson Premium Outlets. They built all these new buildings over here and nothing good ever filled them. What a great idea to put a place that serves breakfast! I've been here a few times and I've had the pork roll egg and cheese and they do it well. That's pretty much the test. If you can do that right then we are off to a good start. The bagels are made literally right there in the same room you are buying them. Call it marketing call it whatever you want the oven and racks are on the far end of the room that you are ordering and you can see that they are fresh. You can smell that they are fresh! I've had a few bagels and they are pretty good too. Don't be suprised either when you walk in and there is a line to the door. This side of town has been lacking a place like this and the locals flock to it every morning. They open early so get up early if you want to miss the rush. It's a brand new building they are in so the place is nice and the staff that I've dealt with is always pleasant. If you are over here in the morning stop in and get something to eat. read more

I have been here a few times and always had a good experience, and the food is great. Everyone who works here is nice except the one girl with dark brown hair and a braid. My friends and I were looking at the menu and told her we weren't ready and she made a face. A few minutes later she asked again and when we said we were still looking, she blatantly rolled her eyes at us. However, all of the other employees provided good customer service and were very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

The food is halfway decent and there is a limited selection of bagels for a "bagel shop." What really sets it apart is the poor attitude of the staff. No one smiles, they're impatient to take your order and once they do they act like they're doing you a favor. I really wish a decent bagel place would come to Jackson. read more

I wouldn't even give this place a star. I came there paid 11$ for two egg sandwiches on plain bagels. Paid an extra dollar or two for hashbrowns on one of them. Both sandwiches barely have anything on them. They forgot the hashbrowns and cheese on both sanwiches completely. The bagels were lile rubber. Awful. Don't bother wasting your money. Better off going across the street to Sunoco. I enjoyed their burgers more than this restuarants food. These little girls cooking should not be on the grill. read more

About a year and a half ago I went into this place and was ignored for several minutes before two workers proceeded to help people who came in after me. Today I tried to give it another chance and the same thing happened. There is no semblance of a line and obviously the workers couldn't care less who they are helping. Won't bother again. read more

A friend told me about this place while we were driving to the Cheese Cake Factory in Freehold. He said it was phenomenal and I should stop by and try it one day. Well, I finally found myself in the area during the morning-ish hours, and it actually happened twice. I figured I should stop on in and give it a try. Inside it looks just like any other bagel joint you have ever been to, nothing much to say there. They are more than just a bagel shop. They offer a lunch menu as well which includes hamburgers, salads, and both hot and cold sandwiches. All their breads and bagels are made fresh, and you can really taste it. On my two times there I ordered two separate things. First off was a basic plain bagel with plain cream cheese. I know it's not really all that creative or daring, but the way I see it, if a bagel place can't make a good plain bagel then it's not worth coming back another time. Here they didn't disappoint. Like I previously stated, the bagel was nice and fresh, and at 11:45 in the morning. Hey I said morning-ish, didn't I? So another visit was owed and this time I went with bacon, egg, and American cheese on a plain bagel with a splash of ketchup. Again they didn't disappoint. The bagel was still nice and fresh, with fluffy scrambled eggs. You add that with the perfectly cooked crunchy bacon, and the melted cheese, you end up with a perfect breakfast sandwich. So what did this perfectly created sandwich cost me you ask. Well total cost is a whole $3.50. So not all that bad of a hit on the wallet. So if you find yourself riding on by stop on in and grab a bite. Because Bagel Bistro is Fat kid tested and Fat kid approved. As Always stay peckish my friends. read more

I am a local and really enjoy Bagel Bistro. A nice place, they offer newspapers and fresh breads. The food is real comfort food. A previous comment about "Help had a little bit of attitude" Is unjust they are just focused and move things along NY Deli Style. Since this is a family run business. They do not have to use all those corporate phony caring phases, like do you want a special Latte or Would you like dessert. They are nice hard working people. No snobbery just efficiency. Several food establishments opened over the years at this location and they all closed quickly. They had themes and ideas, but no consistency or service. Bagel Bistro really knows how to run a more than just Bagels shop. I like the staff young and old and the food. This is why I am giving Bagel Bistro a top rating of 5 stars. Enjoy. I needed to stop by Jackson Outlets one day but my daughter and I had not eaten anything yet so I figured I'd stop by this place to eat. Upon walking in I recieved no greeting or anything. Everyone working behind the counter was off in their own little world. I then tried to place an order... do I sit down and wait for someone? Is there a line? Do I order from this end or that? Do I order at the register? This would've been find if they had no signs on where to order if someone had just greeted me at the door and maybe gave me a heads up... so I finally placed my order after figuring out where to do so. My daughter and I were eating in so I picked a table and proceeded to grab her a high chair. The high chair was disgusting! The chair at my table was also gross.. there was like white thick residue on the back of one chair. The coffee is station was ok with the exception of their "cappuccino" machine.. it had caked on coffee or cappuccino residue. Overall I gave this place two stars due to the fact that they made my order right and it tasted ok, nothing great but ok. I unfortunately won't be coming back. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. Sometimes the food is great and other times it's not so good. I will tell you that I have had their eggs several times and have found very interesting things in my food. Once there was a piece of blue sponge, next time there was a piece of purple string and I have also gotten several hairs. Most of the staff Is friendly but there are a few that just do not want to be there and they make that quite obvious. Our company has also gotten outgoing orders for the staff. I would say four out of five times the orders are wrong. By the time we get the food back to our job it's too late to return it so we're stuck with what we have read more

I've been here about four times and each time I question why I go back. Staff are young and very snobby. I got a panini the first time I went here about a year ago and got sick later on. Tried it again and got a bagel and was good. Just went again today and got another panini and forgot that they were cold and pre-made, not to mention VERY oily and once again threw up. Bagel Sandwiches are good! For lunch I usually get the Grilled Chicken/Mozzarella panini, it's so good. I'd come here more often if they were open later and if I didn't feel like I was an inconvenience by walking in at 1:45 when they're about to close. They have a consistent staff but a lot of rotating young kids. One time I swear by the time the girl heating my panini was done, I had lost half my chicken from her moving, it flipping it, cutting it, and finally wrapping it, so much had fallen out and gone to garbage. I just want the owners to be aware of staff wasting food (I personally hate when food is wasted). Haven't seen her there again so she's probably a goner. Also, I don't have food allergies but the last time I picked up and ordered food for someone else, the girl prepping the salads (one asian chicken salad and one Cesar salad) with a glove on, grabbed the almonds for one salad and with the same hand with the same glove on, put her hand into a crouton bag. So now the person getting the Cesar salad just had almonds touch their croutons. Not a big thing for me but just to consider for other people. read more

This deli offers a variety of options from breakfast to the newly added dinner. Their bagels come part baked straight from Brooklyn and are made fresh every single day. The everything bagel is my favorite! The Boars Head deli meats pair perfectly with the fresh bread. I frequent this deli often and find it hard to believe the staff is anything, but friendly. I have never encountered an issue when ordering or paying, nor had any issue with the layout of the store. This place can get very busy at times, and those impatient customers may feel the staff is not paying attention, when in reality they may be busy with orders ahead of yours. For me being in the establishment when it was busy, a staff member has always acknowledged me to say someone would be right with me. Overall, the great quality of the food and the always pleasant staff keeps me coming back! I also highly suggest giving them a try for dinner, you wont be disappointed. read more

They've added a bunch of tables & chairs to accommodate an overflow of the window seats & 4 or 5 booths. The bagels are fresh & tasty, & they've added a lot of new side dishes. First off, there was no structure with ordering or ringing up. She took everyones order all at once without letting the customer finish what they were saying or ensuring accuracy. Because of that, my bagel wasnt toasted and several other peoples orders were mixed up. I ordered an everything bagel with strawberry creamcheese as I love a sweet and saltly combo. Got it, tried it and wasnt happy to find out that the creamcheese, while pink, tasted like plain creamcheese and not sweet at all. Then the toppings on the bagel were missing the. main seasoning: garlic, onion and salt!! It was l a sesame and poppy seed bagel. I then asked for the cinnamon raisin walnut creamcheese (even though generally Im not crazy abt that kind of flavor) in attempt to get something sweet but that had way too much cinnamon in it and again wasnt sweet. I ended up throwing it all away cause I didnt like it and didnt wanna cause a fuss cause the guy had a frustrated remark abt the strawberry creamcheese after I told him it wasnt sweet. And $3.50 for a bagel and creamcheese is expensive! Its bread and cheese! read more
